He is totally awesome, energetic, fun, helps you to be a great speaker. Gets everyone involved in class, and makes speaking very easy. Gives lots of X-credit.

This class was the best class ever! Before I took Ken's class I was afraid to give a speech, but Ken really does make you feel more comfortable giving a speech. There's only 2 main speeches,the tests are easy and the class is fun! :)

i did not want to take this class at first but ken made it so interesting and fun. i actually ended the semester excited to come. the speech's arent that hard but there are quite a few so be prepared to be in front of the class A LOT! i highly recomend taking the 12 week course.

If you dread taking Speech, you should definitely take Ken. He's very interesting and makes you want to go to his class. I thought this would be the worst class but it turned out to be my favorite. Be prepared to do two researched speech, other than that, the rest is pretty fun and he doesn't grade so hard. You'll have fun in Ken's class.

I think the greatest asset to Ken's teaching style is due to his passion for acting. What better way to get accustomed to public speaking than looking at it as PERFORMING! Very learned, very easygoing and in-tune with what's going on in his class. I definitely enjoy going to class and always look forward to the spice he adds to public speaking.YOW!

Even though Ken makes you go through 10 speeches, it is worth it because they only help you prepare for the final speech in the end. Awesome teaching style, although I will admit his attitude isn't too great he is VERY EASY if you actually commit to the class. I recommend him if you want to get and EASY A. Ken is doing what he is meant to do, teach public speaking. He is extremely passionate. If you listen to him you will be a better presenter. I am currently taking him for the Spring semester. He is an excellent professor. You have to do a lot of speeches, but he makes it much easier. I hated speeches. I still do, but much easier to do them now! Take him, if you want to get over your fear of public speaking! He is helpful in every aspect of the class!

Ken is a great teacher. If you work semi hard you will get an A. Volunteer for one of the classroom jobs in the beginning to get some extra points cushion. You can get C's on the tests if you get A's on the speeches and still get an A.

Amazing teacher, the class feels like a big family, we all hangout after class, go to lunch together and much much more. Did not like to speech in front of the class but he broke me out my shell. I became really comfortable with my classmates and we became a big family and we had just so much fun and have so many memories!!! All you have to do is follow his guidelines and read the book.

Great teacher!!!! His test are really easy and although you do give many speeches, he makes them interesting and fun. As long as you pay attention and take notes the test are pretty simple. And not to mention you get pretty close with your classmates in this class. Overall i would HIGHLY recommend taking him.

Ken is a GREAT teacher! He's nice, funny & he really connects with his students. His tests are REALLY easy! Articulatory agility is a desirable ability for maneuvering with dexterity the tongue the palette the lips. You'll end up memorizing that sentence at the end of the semester. He's so easy! The class is really chill and fun..exams are common sense/stuff from the textbook, and no homework except preparing your speeches obviously. Easy A class.

I took the 8 week course with him so it was very quick but if you follow all the directions you should pass. It's always fun in that class because he tries to entertain you at the same time. I was able to become friends with everyone in class. I enjoy going to class everyday despite it being at 8 in the morning.

Great professor! All the speeches are super fun and he allows you to get really into what ever you are presenting. He grades very fairly because he will show you exactly what he is looking for. The outlines due are specific, but he pretty much lets you write whatever you want. His energy makes the class so fun and the entire class is laughing!

I saved this class for my last semester because I was nervous about it. It turned out to be one of my favorite classes and definitely the one I will never forget. Professor Klaw knows how to make his students feel comfortable around each other which is essential in delivering speeches. No hw except for extra credit, really easy 4 tests, 5 speeches

I ABSOLUTELY ADORED HIM!!!!! I had been dreading his class since i found out i had to take public speaking.. I absolutely loved his class. the speeches weren't to hard and he was very lenient in the grading. the class is very easy overall. Not to much work.. just put all you effort into everything you do and you will be perfectly fine.

Fell in love with this professor. I wish there were more like him. I also took him a few years back for Oral Interpretation of Literature and that's when I knew human communications studies was my major. Thank you, Ken. Took Kenny for Speech 1AH in the winter and he is the perfect teacher for public speaking. He is very energetic and engaging and his personality really allows students to come out of their shells comfortably and become confident public speakers. I would not want to take anyone else.

I am surprised I got an A in this class. As a non-native English speaker I had to work really hard in pronuntiation and overcoming speaking anxiety. My classmates were really nice , and prof. Ken is not a hard grader. If you are a non-native speaker like me take this class! You will learn a lot. Do your best and you'll pass the class.

Mr. Klawitter is awesome! As long as you do your assignments and put some effort into them. Perform your speeches and come to class you will pass. He made speech class enjoyable. The vocal warmups are silly. You are gonna remember him for years to come. Come into his class with an open mind and don't feel so uptight or self conscious.

took his 8week speech class. i don't think there should be a reason for you to pass the class with any grade lower than an A. guide lines to the speeches are given, 50ec points are available, attendance is mandatory, and you just have to care about your grade. we had 4tests(mult choice), and 4speeches.

Ken is just amazing. I hate public speaking and was so sure that i would barely manage to scrape a passing grade because I was so shy. He makes the class super inviting and the energy he puts into teaching really projects onto his students. Would take again just because he was so awesome. Super helpful and always ready to give feedback.

Took him for honors and I am so glad I decided to take this class with Professor Ken. I don't hate public speaking, but I also don't love it. He really makes the class more like a community or even a family. He's very straightforward with the speeches and gives really good feedback. Ken was an awesome speech professor! I've always been terrified of presenting but he made it so fun! He does a lot of group projects and he makes everyone in the class become familiar with one another. By the end of the course you'll know everyone. He makes it a really fun environment to present in and he gives a lot of extra credit opportunities!

Attendance was very important in order to pass, especially during the winter or summer sessions. He makes you feel comfortable when you give speeches in his class. Ken was full of energy and made his students interact with one another. Take him you won't regret it!

Ken was the perfect speech teacher for me! He made everyone in the class feel comfortable. There were 4 to 5 tests and they were all multiple choice and based on the reading. There were 4 speeches. I would recommend taking him if you're shy because he makes us do group projects with everyone in there so we all became a family.

Ken's forte is his positivity. He ALWAYS smiles. He has a lot of passion about theater, poetry, and communication. In class activities are really fun. They revolved around TV and movies that are in our pop culture (GOT, American Idol, Hunger G). My biggest advice to get an A on speeches, follow the grading rubric EXACTLY. Dress to impress!!!

he is the greatest professor ever. he really gives the students a chance to feel comfortable in their skin and help them receive the best grade possible. a non-english speaker froze up during her speech and he gently guided her through and she was able to complete. he really is such a nice and sweet guy. would def take again.

Absolutely Outstanding professor! Very clear and passionate about his topic! I have a lot of anxiety around speaking and he made me feel comfortable and confident while speaking which is amazing. Also, He's kind to his students, and best of all: He never tries to shove his own political or religious/atheist agenda down your throat.

Ken is my literal favorite professor I have had even though at times he frutrated me because he's a little bit of a tough grader but, he really cares about what he's teaching and goes out of his way to make sure the class is comfortable with each other. He is pretty understanding but, If you want an A show up and study your speech.

Ken never once walked into class without a smile on his face. Great sense of humor, did a great job at taking away our fear of public speaking. There were quizzes about once a month based on our textbook reading, which gave great advice too. He gave us a clear grading criteria for our speeches, and gave tons of extra credit. HIGHLY recommend him.

Honestly I thought I would hate having to take a public speaking class, and I couldn't be happier, I really lucked out with taking this guys class. He's very good at explaining the assignments, and he makes sure to keep your attention in really fun ways. He will want to speak up in class, but this just leads to you making some interesting friends.

Prof. Ken was by far my favorite professor all semester. He made our class feel like a family, and made sure everyone participated. Make sure to come to class as he gives out assignments in class and for quizzes. If you are scared of public speaking I recommend him because he is understanding and makes you feel comfortable.

I hate speaking in public so this class was extremely difficult for me. There are 4 speeches in this class & he has a clear criteria on what he wants in them & how he grades. He offers up to 30 points in extra credit. There are also a few tests based off the speech back (very easy) final is 50 questions. He is a positive individual & really helps.

Professor Ken is simply the best. I despised public speaking, but I finished the class without hating it as much. He makes you feel confident and comfortable. Take him!

4 Speeches (Declamation, Impromptu, Informal, Persuasive) 4 Tests + Final (but always reviewed material with us before tests making them ez) He gave some lectures but mostly taught us Speech fundamentals by playing group games based off of game shows/TV (Hunger Games, American Idol, Game of Thrones, etc.) Speech is stressful but he made it fun

I HATE public speaking, but honestly Professor Klawitter has a way of making you feel like you can do anything. He gives constructive criticism in a way that doesn't make you feel bad. I also liked that for some of the bigger speeches we had to do, we had to perform the intro a few days before the whole speech was due, it made me alot less nervous.

Ken created a very welcoming environment for my class to learn in. Even in transitioning to online classes during the Spring 2020 semester, he always was accessible for feedback and help for assignments. Assignment outlines always listed exactly what he wanted. If you follow them, you're guaranteed to excel at Speech. Great lectures. Doable work.

Prof. Ken is very passionate about speech, he will help you have better communication skills. His tests are very easy but you do have to study for your speeches in order to get a good grade (which can be overwhelming if you get nervous easily). He cares for his students and gives extra credit opportunities!

Still taking this class but he has strengthened my public speaking so much. He is very enthusiastic in class and always helps you out in class. Challenges you in the best way possible but class is still easy if you rehearse your speech before you perform it. No HW. Read the chapters for test specifically the bolded words. Enjoyed this class a lot.

I loved his class so much he is so funny and entertaining he makes good vibes for the class. It was fun being in there and is really sweet with us. He gives NO HW! He explains how to do speeches very well and helps us in every possible way.

Compared to how some people reviewed. Prof.Klawitter is such a great teacher. NO HOMEWORK unless it was like something we need to finish for our speech outline. we did a total of six speeches, which for a speech class was honestly less then what I thought we'd have to do hes a great teacher. Show up to class, he only takes written or printed work.

Awesome teacher, he offered extra credit for almost every speech. I took the final without studying and still got 90 which shocked me, he always made lectures so interesting and he was so nice. Only 1 homework assignment which was pretty easy. His feedback on lectures was great too. He truly just wants every student to succeed.

Great professor! He is super funny and charismatic in class. He explains clearly what you have to do in every speech and ensures every student performs perfectly. My only problem is that he grades speeches solely on criteria and not on performance.

Mr K. is a fantastic Public speaking proffesor. He's really good at his job being so full of life and ready to teach. The class was very friendly as well so the 2 hours flew by. 100% would take again and as long as you try and show up mostly you will succeed. No text book.
