Outstanding class
good teacher, class isn't easy but he does a good job of explaining things
Laughing at him got me through the class.
Great class,I love this guy, can't wait to take Intermediate Macro with him
Ken is a great guy; for students new to economics, he gives you a very good taste of what economics is like. He was good at giving me help outside of class; I didn't do the best in his class, but he is good
ken is awesome - i don't know anyone who doesn't like ken
I LOVE KENNY!!! His classes are the best and his mullet rocks my world.
Lectures were fairly informative tests not too hard had a sense of humor that made the class interesting
I'm not much for studying and didn't read much of the book but got by with a C! Counting all the buttons on his safari style clothing was a plus! One day he had a shirt with 26 buttons! Go Ken!
he is such a great guy and totally has the typical professor look to him...hes very funny and a great teacher!
Awesome guy. He's funny and makes learning economics quite simple. He explains things well and will always answer all your questions.
Hard test, but good guy.
4 tests and 1 paper. You can use a sheet for notes on the test but the tests aren't that bad.
This is a great class to take of you don't want to be in econ. Ken teaches the material very well and the test aren't all that hard. You MUST take my advice and use the study guide. Some of the test questions are directly from the study guide. =)
This class is kind of hard but he is a really good teacher. I would definitely recommend taking him. He is kind of goofy sometimes but it adds humor.
He was a great teacher. Had a sense of humor and explained the information really well.
Obviously a very hard class. Writes notes on the board so it's easy to keep up and comprehend. Explains things very well. Funny!!Do the study guide in the book and you will do great. Gives $100 to the highest grade at the end of the semester!! (wasn't me)
McCormick is the bomb!
Ken is a cool guy. He jokes around and wears some awesome shirts! The class is somewhat hard. Notes on board and follows those for the test. Test is multiple choice. He will help you in any way he can. I played hangman when I did go and got a C..take him
Ken is a great prof! One of my favorites ever. Not the easiest course, but if you go to lectures, study your notes, and do the study guides (multiple choice sections), you'll be good to go. He is so intelligent, but doesn't push it in your face--he'll bring the material to your level.
awh gots to love him. "questions comments?"....silence
Very good teacher
McCormick is a good profess! he is so dorky but in a cute way. he explains the information well and always makes sure we understand before he moves on
I took this class with another professor and ended up dropping..but He's been an awesome teacher..i believe I have a B in it now..very easy if you do the study guide and go to classes..The test are easy and I usually only study for like an hour before the test and I get A's and B's..I recomend him!!
Ken is a real cool guy and a great teacher. If I have taken the time to come to this site, just to let you know, Im positive that if you cant pass this class, you should reconsider your major. He is a great teacher and takes lots of time in and out of class to help you. VISIT THIS PROFFESOR DURIN
KEN IS THE GREATEST TEACHER ON EARTH!! THE TESTS ACTUALLY GO OVER EXACTLY WHAT U DO IN CLASS!! HE TELLS THE FUNNIEST JOKES AND WILL HAVE U LAUGHING ON THE FLOOR!! EVEN IF U DO NOT NEED THIS CLASS TAKE IT FOR AN ELECTIVE!!! KEN CHANGED MY LIFE!!
HE is a great professor!

Great prof. Test Q's are all covered in lectures. Interested in students wellfare and understanding, take him if you can.
Goofy lookin guy but he knows his stuff. Tests arent to bad if you go to class and takes the notes. Gives reviews before tests. Its not easy but you learn what you need to with a couple hours of out of class studying.
He is a weird hippie...but I love him and would reccomend you love him too....Who killed kenny
HIGHLY recommended! Ken has a great sense of dry humor that makes class fun. Does a great job of explaining concepts...don't need to read the book as he outlines everything in class. Do the study guides and the tests aren't bad at all...very helpful guy. TAKE KEN'S CLASS!!!!
kenny is awesome!!!!!
Ken is the man! The guy knows how to teach and is very helpful outside of class. I'm not an econ major, but decided to take Intermidate Macro with him after having him for Principles. I learned so much and am very glad I took Intermidate (for fun!) I loved his humor...Who killed Kenny?
Great Prof and even better class, if you are into econ take The History of Economics.
Ken is a cool teacher who goes over material in a very organized, clear manner. Tests varied in difficulty but not too bad overall, and you can use an entire sheet of notes, front and back, on the test. There are 4 unit tests and 5-10 pg paper on "The Elusive Quest for Growth," by William Easterly.
guy is a trip. just pay attention and you will do fine.
Ken is great. He OUTLINES EVERYTHING you need to know...if you take good notes and look at study guide if you're having any trouble, you'll do fine. He's more than willing to answer questions until you understand. Plus, he gives $100 to top student!
Ken is by far the coolest prof. i've had. He is an old man that makes fun of himself all the time, and majority of the time will try to make a joke that fails horribly, but then laugh anyway. He writes on the board all the notes you need, and if you use the study guide and read, you'll be fine. He's a great professor, highly recommended!!
Ken writes out all of his notes instead of using powerpoints. You dont really need the book but the study guide that comes with it is very helpful. He can be kind of corny but he is very clear, helpful, and friendly. Study all the graphs and you'll do fine
He's a helpful professor who makes the class much easier for freshmen.
One of the best teachers I've had. No homework. Takes a lot of test questions from the Study Guide. Quizzes are easy and help you prepare for the test. I highly recommend him!
Ken McCormick is one of the best lecturers at the this University. Small jokes and and a carrying voice keep you paying attention. He gives no homework and most of the test questions are on the study guide. A great teacher to say the least.
DEFINITLY deserved a chili pepper. He writes all the notes on the board so they are easy to follow. Tests can be hard but if you study and do the work this is an easy class. He is very passionate about what he does and knows a LOT about what he's teaching. I would definitly recommend him!!
He's a really good guy who knows what his stuff is. Highly recommend. If you do the study guide and go to class, it's very easy to get an A
Undoubtedly the one of the best professors at UNI. He speaks crystal clearly and his deep voice is one you have to here. His jokes are great and the fact that they always have to do with Economics make them that much better. A lot of his questions for the tests are on the study guide and if you put in effort you'll get a good grade. Hes the man
Good teacher, lots of notes but very useful, studying needed for tests, not boring, kinda funny
This guy is hilarious! He's always in a good mood, and he's easy to listen to. You have to take a lot of notes, but he explains everything very well. Tests aren't too hard but you will have to do the study guide or homework
McCormick is awesome. He writes everything down on the board and he's fun to listen to. Always in a great mood and is very good about explaining what he's talking about. Tests are a little hard, but study and you should be fine. Takes questions from the study guides also. Take him if you can.
Great teacher! I highly recommend taking his classes.
GREAT teacher. He actually comes up with economics jokes that are semi entertaining!
He is a very great and helpful teacher! He explains things well and love his crazy shirts he wears! He is willing to help you with anything and I would definitely recommend him if you aren't excited about taking Macro!
Very interesting class. Prof. McCormick is a wonderful teacher. He really made the difficult material much easier. Definitely take him if you are interested in Economics. Great semester!
Very great prof! Gives you all the notes you need for the tests. Hardly used the textbook but the study guide comes in handy. He will use questions straight out of the guide on the test.
Interesting class if you are into Econ. Two take home tests and 3 book reports. Lecture is good...everything is written on the board. Take home tests come straight from notes. Would reccomend for an econ elective.
Macro was defintely a tough class for me.. it was all about learning how to study for his tests at first. I had to go in for help all the time throughout the semester and mccormick was VERY helpful and nice. He reminds me of a grandpa how he's always in a good mood and wanting to help. Study guide is a must, I liked having the book too.
Nice professor. Not easy, you need to study study study for the test. Not many points available in the class.
McCormick is awesome. Definitely one of the best Econ teachers here, my friends were jealous that they didn't have him. He explains and writes out EVERYTHING which is great when studying later. Laughs a lot, hilarious guy and good sense of humor. Can easily buy old edition of textbook, it's the exact same for way cheaper. You'll love him.
Great teacher! I was in a macroeconomics class with 180 students so every class was a lecture, but I didn't care because he made it really interesting. He takes at least 10 questions of the 40-question tests straight from the study guide so make sure you get the study guide and do it! He can be funny sometimes and you can tell he loves economics!
One of my favorite professors. He explains everything very well, and if you have any questions he's willing to answer any of them. He relies heavily on the study guides. If you do them, you will pass the tests.
Studies in Economics. Discussion course. Great class, unique structure. Moderately high volume of reading. Almost impossible to get a bad grade.
Great guy. Loves teaching. Tells lots of jokes and laughs a lot. Really a great guy. Take lots of notes but he goes slow and in depth on them. Highly recomend!
Great proffessor, really enjoys economics and is extremely smart. He is very willing to help students. Also he offers a $100 prize to the person with the highest grade in the class.
Professor McCormick is an excellent professor. I had him for Mathematical Economics. He put all of the notes on the board and explained things very clearly. It was easy to tell that he was passionate about the subject. He was always willing to help students with the course material. Lecture was always interesting and he has a great sense of humor.
History of Economic Thought. This guy is the best! Although attendance is optional, lecture is very entertaining and worthwhile. This is a great elective for Econ majors or anyone interested in the subject.
Lecture: writes everything on chalkboard (WRITE ALL OF THAT IN NOTES) and he also tapes lectures so you don't have to show up for class Tests: study notes, do the study guide (questions are verbatim) you should be alright - It is a tough class, but he makes it possible. He is very laid back and he knows his stuff!
Great guy, always laughing about something. Class is difficult and boring at times, but McCormick is a great professor, and knows and cares about his stuff
Great Professor. Tries to make the class entertaining, but the material is hard. If you have to take Macroeconomics you should definitively take Professor McCormick. He does a good job explaining, and is one of the best ECON Professors. Plus, he lets you use a page of notes during the final!
He writes all the notes up on the board, for students to copy, which is good but his test are super HARD. I have studied a week before the test, with the text book, his notes, and the study guide and still never not over a C- on tests. For the tests, it doesn't matter if you study or not because most of the time its over things not covered in class
This guy is probably the best Professor to take Macro with. He makes the subject very clear and easy to understand. The tests are exactly what we cover in class and if you do the study guide, read the chapters, and glance over the notes you should have no problem getting a decent grade in his class
Great and interesting professor. Makes some pretty decent jokes, easy to listen to, and makes lectures not seem so lecturey. Everything in the tests is not only gone over in class, but also taken from the book and sometimes questions verbatim from the study guide.
Large lecture class. He literally copies his notes onto the board. Write down everything on the board. DVDs of his lectures available in the library the next day, if you miss. Study guide is essential since he pulls verbatim questions from it for the exams.
If you attend class and copy everything from the board you WILL understand the material. Make sure to buy the study guide (it's a workbook) because the test questions come from that verbatim.
Ken is a great professor. Attendance is not mandatory, but if you skip you'll likely miss something important. He's very approachable and very willing to help! Do the workbook practice problems and you'll do fine on the tests. Difficult class, but if you keep on top of the workbook, you'll be alright.
I love Ken, he's a really good professor and cares a lot about having his students understand the material. I would gladly take another class with him if I could.
He is a really great professor. He explains everything well, and writes everything he says on the board. Also seems very approachable if you have questions. Study your notes and you should do fine.
Macro is a very tough class regardless of who you take it with. However, if you have to take it, take it with Mccormick. Make use of his office hours, it will boost your grade immensely.
No need to buy the book, just get the study guide. The study guide makes you learn the chapter and he pulls questions from it and puts it on the test. It's a weed out class but not hard if you put the time in.
I can say with near certainty that he will be the coolest professor you will ever have. He laughs at all of his jokes and is always in a good mood. Make sure to use the study guide, though.
Best professor I've had so far here. Class is tough, but lecture is informational and fairly interesting. Ken is the flipping man, which makes the class not as drab as the average econ course would be.
Absolutely extraordinary. Hilarious teacher who is incredible at teaching. He cares deeply about his students and posts videos of all of his lectures online. Best teacher I have had in college.
Very good professor. Macro is a tough class regardless of the professor, but if you go to class, take good notes, you will do well. I would strongly recommend him for Macro. I wish he also taught Micro.
He is awesome. Very cool and pretty funny guy with great energy. Writes everything that comes out of his mouth on the board. The notes from class are enough--I used the textbook once. The material is kinda hard but going to class helps. Lots of notes but they are clear. Also posts lecture videos so if you miss class you're good.
Requires you to know the material, but goes very slow, likes questions, and makes it clear what you need to know. Easiest macro teacher.
Professor McCormick is fantastic. He wrote the textbook himself and gives you free access to it online. I recommend skimming through the chapters before each test because he occasionally takes questions from the textbook. He posted a video of every lecture online so if you missed class you had a way to get the notes. Overall a great class.
Great professor, the class, however, is difficult if you don't study a lot. but its required for business majors and Kent is definitely the best person to take it with.
By far my favorite Prof. If you're going to take macro you have to take it with him. Take good notes and do the chapter questions and you will do fine. He also likes to crack a joke here and there, very laid back guy. He also makes everyones final score out of the highest score total in the class which helps.
Ken is a solid Macro professor. He is very lecture heavy but he's pretty funny so it's not too bad. He never assigns homework so that's a plus, but you have to spend some time outside of class reviewing the lecture notes in order to do well on the exams. Attend the Supplemental Instruction sessions if possible... they were super helpful!
Ken is a great guy and an even better professor. The text book is online and free so you won't have to buy one. Macro is a challenging class but he explains the material well and tells you exactly what to study in order to succeed.
Ken is the man. He is the goofiest dude ever. He is incredibly knowledgable and caring. His lectures are clear, and if you don't understand something he is happy to help you. He taught me not only a lot about economics, but also about life. He's kinda like a grandpa. I added an econ minor because of him. Take his class. You won't regret it.
Loved having him as a professor! Econ isnt really my thing, but he taught it well. Textbook is free & he puts all of his lectures on e learning. Your grade is based on quizzes and exams & is curved. He ran out of time & ended up giving everyone full points for our last 3 quizzes which was cool. Tests arent bad if u do practice problems for each chp
Ken is passionate about Macroeconomics. He writes all the notes on the chalkboard. Wrote his own textbook. Records each lecture and posts it online in case you miss class. 4 Exams (180 points). 4 quizzes (20 points). 200 points total. Do the homework questions and study your notes and you will do well. Do everything you can to get in his class!
Ken is a great professor! Although lectures can get long he tries his best to keep macroeconomics interesting. His tests arent too hard and the book is free online.
Best professor ever! I suck at economics and he made it so easy to understand. He loves his job, cares about his students, is super funny and engaging, and makes his lectures super easy to understand for people who have no previous knowledge of the topic. 10/10 Ken is the man!!
Ken keeps things inserting with Macro. He is a funny guy but class is very lecture heavy. You can skip class and watch lectures online if you want to. Graded by 5 quizzes worth 5 points, and 4 test. The final is half comprehensive, half chapter. Fairly easy for Macro.
Professor McCormick does a good job at trying to make macro interesting. It is already a more difficult subject, but his lectures help the understanding a lot. We ran out of time in my class so he gave us full credit on two of the quizzes. The book is free online, but not really necessary. The class is also curved at the end of the year.
GOAT. Laughs at all his own jokes. Very transparent about material on exams and quizzes. Super friendly and understanding.
Ken's super funny and definitely was one of my favorite profs at uni. Though the class is kind of tricky, he is great at explaining and is always willing to help.
