Best teacher I've ever had, took him for 152,254 and 255 and got A,B,A. Very clear, explains everything, wants to make sure you understand the material, great sense of humor. We need more like him.

When they made Ken they broke the mold. If you take a math class take him, he is very student friendly and will help you make it. He allowed me to take several class test late, like a week or two late and didn't even change the test.

He made the class easier. great teacher.

Great math prof. He does a wonderful job of explaining tough material. You might think he's too easy, but that's only because he did such a great job of teaching you :o)

I took his class awhile ago, but I'm still impressed. One of the very best teachers I've ever had. I had dropped the class once at Miami U. and twice at OSU before taking it at CSCC. I ended up getting an A. :) I would recommend him to anyone.

He is such a nice person. Af first, I thought that he wouldn't be able to teach Math 285, but I was wrong. He isn't only a good instructor but also a very cool guy. Take his class and see what I am saying.

Math by far is my least favorite class, but this professor made it amazing..he is by far one of the best professors I've ever had!!!

He was such a great teacher. He has a great sense of humor about him. He loves to laugh and teach math. He will do the same problem over and over until you get it. He is one of a kind.

Best teacher ever.. i wish all math teachers were as clear and as good as he was. he really taught math not lectured and he was only happy when u got the good grade. believe it or not, i got D's in almost every math class i took, i got an A in calc 2..!!

He is the BEST math teacher ever!!! He is also probably the single best teacher CSCC has next to Karsten Look. He's upfront with his expectations; he makes learning fun, and he makes himself available to his students. I've never heard a bad word about him from anyone on campus. Truly excellent!

best math teacher i ever had, i took him for statistics and then 152, and am telling you i had an awesome time. his lectures are good, and he realy wants everyone to do good in his class that's how kind hearted he is i will miss your class big time seidel! don't let this opportunity of a life time pass out on you if you get my drill people.

The best class and funniest class ever. He made math look like ABC. He knows his teaching and he listens. He has every quality that makes a good teacher. However, somethings he do skips some hard questions in the text ( who cares).

i took two classes with this profesor 151 and 152 so far he is the best I ever had very kind person very funny very smart will give you the smart methoeds to solving problems. thee is no way you will get a grade less than u deserve I strongly recomend him to all.

I never was able to enjoy or learn from a math teacher until I had this teacher. He was will to work with the class when we had problems and was very easy to listen to and learn from. I would recommend this teacher to anyone taking MATH 104.

An excellent teacher. I don't know how I would get through Calculus with another teacher. He makes it easy to understand. Great if you have math anxiety.

I think prof. Seidel is a great teacher. He really wants students to do well in his class and understand the material. His tests are fair, it is all up to you (the students) whether you want good grade or not

Really great guy. He makes class fun and doesn't obsess over things like most math professors. I recommend him to anyone at Columbus State.

By far the best of the best. I'm currently at OSU, but I'd definitely reenroll at CSCC if I needed to take Calc3. I've never had a better teacher.

I took my begin stats class with him. I heard it was really hard, just the material, so I was pretty worried, but he was, by far, one of the best math teachers I have had yet. I really hate math, but he made it enjoyable. He liked to try and make math exciting, but we all knew it wasn't, even he did, but it was good to see him try. :)

Possibly the best math teacher alive today. Very funny guy. Ask him to tell you some of his horrible math jokes. Ken's ability to teach puts OSU's math department to shame!

He was a great teacher! He made sure everyone understood the material. He gives partial credit on tests and quizzes. Everything that is on the tests is covered in class. He is by far the best math teacher I have had.

I took two of his math classes several years ago and still remember his name. To date, he is not only the best math teacher I have ever had but probably the best teacher, period. He made learning (even math!) enjoyable and his classes were fun. His love for teaching was refreshing and his willingness to help all his students was extraordinary.

Extremely patient, especially during office hours (9 hours/week!), kept a MATH class fun...Im taking 153 this summer so I can take 254 from him in the fall...Took 151 at OSU, made a C and hated every second of it...took 152 with Seidel, made a 99, and cant wait to get back in his class...Been to 4 colleges over 5 years, BEST OVERALL PROFESSOR YET

Mr Seidel is AWESOME. I had another teacher prior and dropped to be in his class. I am glad I did because with his great teaching skills I actually understand a difficult subject!!!

A bit soft or easy on grades and expectations, but he communicated the concepts so well, which is all that is important. He's fun and light-hearted, and it makes it easy to enjoy the class. I'm a math major - I recommend Seidel.

One of my favorite teachers by far. Made such a difficult subject a complete breeze for me, to the point where I am possibly making it a major or minor when I transfer. Fantastic professor and extremely willing to help and is patient.

He likes to make jokes, but that's what will keep you coming to his class. He knows how to grab your attention. Hw is not required but i suggest you do it. His reviews are just like his tests. The homework quizzes are a big help. Always willing to help. One of the best math teahcers I've had.

WOW is all I can say, never had a teacher whom I adored so much! He is laid back and fun but at the same time he is great at delivering the material in a way that you understand. This guy should be a role model for teachers everywhere! Love him!

Tell me why I took this class with another teacher almost got an F lol and now I almost have an A in this class. It says something. I love math. And he made this class fun. He's funny and doesnt make things complicated. if youre taking math 135 TAKE HIM!! I'm made I didnt take him the first time...

WONDERFUL professor. I HATE math but he made it so easy. Just go to class, take notes, and listen. I didn't even open the book or do homework and I got an A. He actually manages to make the class kinda interseting and fun. Tells jokes, very upbeat.A girl in my class had struggled w the same class with a dif prof but found it VERY easy with him.

Still doesn't beat Prof. Yang as my best-ever teacher, but comes close if for no other reason than being so accommodating to students' needs. He is very flexible on due dates, his tests all have a take-home portion for the long stuff (extrema for example). My complaint is the total lack of proofs. I like like to see *why* we're using a formula.

He was always upbeat and easy to understand. He goes step by step on the board and is always asking if we understand. If someone said, they did not understand he found a way to break it down more for them. He was willing to answer questions, was very clear about what we did, and did not need to know and the study guides before his tests helped.

I love this teacher! I've heard horror stories about stats class but he made it so easy to understand. He's very fair, he's funny, has a great attitude, and always tries to make sure we all get it! DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND!!!!

I really do love this man...LOL, if you go to class and review the homework it?s a win, win. I didn't have my book for the first two weeks of class and still made a B. He is so willing to help if you just talk to him. But don't ever lie or cheat because ?Wow? if you get caught....Test are copies of the reviews and in class work. Please take him!!!!

He is just a really awesome teacher. After a hard won C in 150, I worked my butt off and got an A with his teaching. What more can I say? Oh, the three things I did to get it the A - go to class, did all homework and asked when I didn't understand. He is more then willing to help you if you ask.

Was afraid of this class (statistics)but he made it seem so easy! He's always positive and making funny jokes. He makes class fun while learning! Best teacher.

Great professor! I was freaked out by the class before I took it with him. He is very clear, fun, and quizzes (H.W.) and reviews are exactly what comes on all the exams. He even has a take home section for each exam, other than the final obviously. If you don't take it with him, you're a moron. He is my favorite Math instructor by far. Take him!!!

Took his class online and he is totally helpful as long as you ask respectfully for help and act like you care. Not an online teacher that ignores you and is rude.

TAKE THIS GUY!!! One of the best math prof ever! Wish I had him for every math class Iâ??ve taken! Keeps you interested in the material, funny, awesome! His MTs are VERY similar to the review guides, each MT, has a takehome portion! REALLY VERY helpful & clear! Final consists of few must do prbs, and then u have a choice which ones u wanna do(A or B)

Ken is one of the best instructor out there. I was very amazed when he lost the class with a concept and look at his students, he know exactly where he lost them. Calculus is not easy but Ken made it simpler by using different approaches when the concept has hard to understand. If you have to take math classes, Ken is the teacher, you want.

This guy is awesome. He helps you learn and is very helpful. If you don't get the material he will go over it until you do with out slow doing the class. Super easy on grading. You will learn so much from him the easy grading won't matter. Best teacher ever!!!!

BEST TEACHER! He's explains all the math in a very clear way and it's easy to understand what he's teaching us. He's really funny too which is great because it doesn't make the class so dry and boring. He does a great job keeping the class interesting. He throws extra credit at us for fun basically, and you DONT NEED THE BOOK OR MY MATH LAB! :)

I took Math 1152 and 2153 with Ken Seidel. Hands down best math teacher I've ever had. He maintains a good pace and can read the class very well for whether students understand a particular concept or not. His tests can be a little challenging but they're fair and it's for your own good! Take math with Seidel.

Pretty good at recognizing when people are lost, if you participate and speak up when you don't understand something in class he's happy to go over it again. We had entire class periods where we just reviewed before tests by going over test level examples. He's clear of what will and will not be on tests. He clearly loves what he teaches.

He's one of the best math teachers I've ever had. Organized, super clearly, and helpful teacher. TAKE his class, he's amazing.

Professor Seidel is a great professor, he is HILARIOUS, and very good at teaching the material in a way you students will remember. Tests are 5050, we had a couple tests where the material was all expected and a few that the difficulty was not comparable to class. My only complaint is he takes FOREVER to grade, so don't expect tests back quickly.

He is a fantastic professor and an even better person. Extremely helpful, his lectures are very funny and clear. He answers any question until you understand. Very respectful and funny. If you have the chance to have him as a teacher, DO NOT PASS HIM UP.

He's an awesome professor. Really down to earth and explains things without all of the theory and crap behind it.

Exams can be pretty intense and they count for the majority of your grade, but, he is a great teacher who wants students to do well and understand the material. He is very accessible during his office hours to go over any concepts you're struggling with. If you get the chance to take his class, DO IT!

I really love this professor. He is funny and cares about his students. Always asking our opinion and make sure we understand what he is teaching. Tests are not hard at all and fewer homework.

This is the best professor I can remember having. By far the best math professor I have taken because he will go over ANY part of a problem again and even re-phrase his answer for clarity. He is so easy to follow that I honestly think a child could learn calculus from him. Take his class and do this man a favor. He earns it. I'd pay extra to take.

Kenny is an amazing math teacher. He made the material in this course so easy to understand and his lecture style is very conducive to student learning. It's clear he's been doing this for a long time - he knows how to teach each concept and how to relate concepts so that student's never feel lost. Super accessible and willing to help anyone.

Ken is amazing! I would take him again in a heartbeat. He is very accommodating. I didn't buy the book, I purchased the online program instead. Honestly, do not waste your money. His lectures are so good and so simple that the book and online program will just confuse you. He thoroughly prepares you for all exams. I'll miss him!

Good math instructor!! I am a very MATHY student. He makes the concepts easy to understand because he boils every problem down to the nitty gritty. Also he has few quizzes, which means you can focus on learning the material and not worry the next quiz.

If you take any of his classes once, you'll definitely want to have him again. Reasonable, engaging, and caring. If you have honest obligations to take care of, he is not one of those professors that puts their class above you. I was not compelled to skip any of his classes as they all pass by so quickly.

He's an amazing and knowledgable instructor!! His in-class lectures are very helpful and the key for quizzes and exams. He doesn't give a lot of quizzes and homework, if you attend his class consistently, you'll do amazingly in your tests and final exams.

Best mathematics professor at CSCC. He's been at CSCC for 30 years and this dude knows how to teach. I took a summer class and 3:30 feels like barely 2.

If there are any negative posts about this Prof ignore them. Take his class and you won't regret it. He is the best math Prof you'll ever have.

TAKE THIS PROF!!! if your great in math OR if you hate math, this prof is AMAZING! literally will explain the most complex concepts in the simplest ways. it's an easy A. just listen to his lecture, ask questions (he is VERY friendly) and you'll do great! He is always willing to help students succeed!

Mr Seidel has been teaching for a long time. I have taken other classes (STAT 2470 and MATH 2568) where those professors were actually taught by Mr Seidel as well. He is a very fair partial credit grader, clear about his expectations and classwork. Lecture is fun, quizzes and homework are given and studying those will get you an A on exams.

Very good professor, clear on material and helps student understand what to learn. Also asks class what they want on quiz/exam as agreeable method before taking it.

Ken is awesome. I used this website to see his reputation, and the rates are true. Ken is funny, caring, and always puts his students first when teaching. Easy to approach with questions, and he will even run-over concepts again in class if you're confused and need another example. I couldn't recommend this instructor more.

Lots and lots of homework. Different style of teaching but will do everything he can to help you out.

MATH2177 Professor Seidel is very kind, funny, and patient. He loves when students ask questions, and he always does his best to give clear answers. He takes some time to grade homework, but he has strict deadlines for it. His lectures are informative and very easy to follow. Seidel became my favorite math teacher.

Seidel was a wonderful professor to have. He loves the content he teaches and it shows. Questions are welcomed during lecture and investigated.
