Took him for pseudoscience. Great upper level psych class, interesting yet easy. 50% of class was online quizzes which were open book (open ppt since class had no book besides a novel) other 50% was a term paper or doing a wikipedia editing assignment. Almost everyone gets an A. Small class so feels intimate. Very cool guy, take him/his classes!

Took Social Psychology over Summer B. Great class, interesting in every way. If you like psychology even a little bit you will love any class taught by him. Really personable and easy to talk to. If you go to class and listen to lecture you will get a good grade.

Had him for Social Psych. Great class! He makes the lectures interesting, just make sure you get a seat close up because he mumbles and talks fast sometimes! His exams are that hard, I got a low B and didnt even look at the notes at all before i took it. You never touch the txtbook so dont bother buying it. Oh and major hottie ;D

If you want to or have to take SOP3004 he is a great teacher!!!! He's funny for one, keeps you entertained XD. He may go off on tangents so he reminds us to stop him if he does! Test wise study the powerpoints and take good notes and you can easily get an A!

He is the perfect teacher. His class is both engaging and educational. There was never a dull moment with him. He made every person in that class of over 100 people laugh. It was one of those rare courses that you wish every teacher would model their class after. But I doubt anyone can be quite as entertaining as him. And it is an easy A!

The best professor I've ever had! Everyone always says how bad psych lab is so I was really dreading having to take it this semester; but it turned out to be my favorite class! You definitely need to study and work for an A but it's worth it! You don't use a textbook at all and should attend class in order to listen to the lectures.

Even though I had him for an online class, it was my favorite class. He is an excellent professor and very friendly and personable. Loves his job and psychology and his students. Go to his office hours and just talk to him! All you have to do is follow his to do list of readings each week and take a quiz and write a discussion per week, no exams!

Ken Swan is amazing! Favorite class this semester, and by far best psych class I've taken. He's so helpful and clear, and responds to emails in less than 24 hours. No exams, just weekly discussion posts and quizzes and a book review at the end. Easy A if you keep up with the reading!

Even though it was an online class, I found him to be a great professor! Very straightforward and clear about what we would be graded on. He was very approachable and helpful as well! His enthusiasm for the class rubbed off on me. Easy class as well!

There are not enough good things to say about Ken. He is absolutely one of the best professors at UF. This class is one of those dreaded mandatory classes for Psych majors, so it can seem like it's dry material, but Ken makes coming to lectures SO worth it. DR SWAN IS THE MAN! Take Psych lab with him, and you won't regret the decision. His exams can be tricky, but just try to think like him on the exams. Try and take Stats 2 before this class, and you will be at such an advantage. He made the material very interesting and would take another class with him in a heartbeat.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED PROF SWAN AND THIS CLASS. I was anxious about taking an abnormal psych class but this was one of my favorite classes in my 5 years of college so far. AMAZING PROFESSOR!! He made abnormal psych so interesting because it was obvious how passionate he was about the subject. He kept readings to the minimum and instead gave supplemental podcasts and fascinating articles. Quizzes were a bit difficult but they were word for word from the textbook, but not enough time to search book. No exams was a plus

This class is fantastic, Professor Swan is clearly super passionate about the subject and it makes the subject way more interesting to learn. He also gives a lot of great resources that allow you to go in-depth while reading things that are applicable and not dull. You do have to put in effort, but its interesting and Ken is really reasonable.

Professor Ken Swan is one of the greatest professors I've ever had. He really cares for his students and is willing to take the time to listen to your needs and help you out as best as he can. The class isn't tough at all just read the assigned chapters every week because thats what the quizzes are based on and complete your assignments.

He is a great professor who is in love with his subject. He definitely inspired me to explore psychology more. His quizzes are easy if you read (know where things are located so you can find them during quiz easily). Discussions are easy but annoying to remember when to post (Thurs and Sun). Overall, super easy class and he's really cute.

I've taken 3 classes with him so far and have loved each one. I took my first psych class with him and plan on taking the last with him as well. Best teacher I've ever had, in four years of college both at UF and elsewhere. He's absolutely inspirational, optimistic about the future, and very good at connecting with the students. I love his lectures, and every time he shares a TED talk or an article, it's bound to be interesting. He took a class that was mandatory and made it great.

Great, and interesting class. However, its not an easy A. Weekly quizzes and discussions, and you have to read a bit in order to pass. I struggled a lot with the quizzes, so you really have to take good notes or know the material very well. Other than than, Prof Swan is great and provides a lot of interesting material.

I took abnormal psychology (CLP3144) online with Swan. He is VERY passionate about the subject, and makes it very clear what he expects from you since the class is entirely online. He's very interactive with students and takes all of the students' suggestions and opinions into consideration. No final exam, just weekly quizzes that are fairly easy.

Very passionate about psychology as a science. He taught me to regard the media with a more critical eye than I already have, so I am less likely to be duped by attention grabbing headlines. He was always very passionate while lecturing, even during the stats section. Stats was a pain for me, but he provided a LOT of clarity!! :D

Abnormal psych has become very popular, and most of it is because of Dr. Swan. He's so passionate about the topic, and really encourages you to think deeply. His weekly video updates are the cutest, occasionally featuring his son and cat. Ken Swan is a beautiful cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure.

I've never met a professor who cares more about his students. He made every effort to make sure that we'd do well and actually listened to student feedback. He took a boring class and made it fun. That being said, his quizzes are tricky. But, the final exam is a godsend and can easily save your grade.

Super interesting topic, and while textbook is boring, he doesn't add to the boredom with lengthy lectures. Lots of articles and videos to supplement the week's topic instead. I only went to office hours once, but he was super friendly, and always receptive to feedback! Keep on top of weekly quizzes and posts, and it's an easy A. No exams! :)

Ken is the greatest teacher I've ever had. Took him for both abnormal and pseudoscience and loved both of them. His videos were also so interesting and he took the time to carefully explain everything. Expect an A in pseudo but abnormal can be a little tricky. TAKE HIM FOR EVERY CLASS POSSIBLE! Also extra credit is available for both classes.

He is very understanding, passionate about the subject, and is interested in his students thoughts. Quick to respond to questions and concerns, even on weekends. Ken is by far my favorite professor I have ever taken. He genuinely cares about you and that you are enjoying that material you are taking. Now disclaimer, this class is deep. Like question everything you ever thought to be true deep, but don't let that scare you. It is a learning experience that you won't get anywhere else with any body else.

His class is the best class I've ever taken in college. He is genuinely passionate about what he's teaching. Although it's fairly easy, I retained a lot of knowledge because he made it so interesting. He engaged us using many methods. We had to read a small book along with the class, but it fit very nicely into the lessons.

I loved Prof. Swan, he makes everything interesting and tells you exactly what to do to pass. At the beginning, there's a lot of reading from the textbook, but there's also a lot of supplemental videos, Ted talks, interviews, etc. I really enjoyed the class. No final, just a 15 question MC quiz every week, and some minor assignments at the end.

Ken is without a doubt the coolest teacher I have ever had. He will get you totally immersed and passionate about a topic you probably knew nothing about and presents everything in way that will have you sitting at the edge of your seat. For class you just have weekly online modules and quizzes and then a paper/project - - very fair and doable.

This is the second course I've taken taught by Ken, and I can honestly say that he is possibly the best psychology professor I've had. His lectures are great and really thought provoking. He's not big on super strict grading criteria, but his passion for the topics he teaches will still make you want to work for the A.

Dr. Swan is one of the nicest professors I have ever had. There was always a line at his office hours, usually because he hates ending a conversation and is a lot of fun to talk to. Dr. Swan is also very easy to relate to as a younger professor, and I recommend his courses to psychology and non-psychology students alike.

I took him for Abnormal Psych and because I liked him as a teacher so much I decided to take Pseudoscience. It is definitely by far my favorite course taken at UF. The material is so interesting and really changes the way you think. Most valuable psych class so far and I am so grateful for all that I now know.

I absolutely loved this course. The material covered was extremely interesting. It was obvious Dr. Swan was passionate about the subject. However, the quizzes are EXTREMELY difficult! There are no assignments where points can be gained to help your grade. Only quizzes and minimal point discussions. Get ready to memorize the textbook word for word.

I enjoyed this course as my major is Psychology. The quizzes were extremely difficult/tricky. Each week there was a quiz and discussion. Discussions are easy as you chose what to talk about, no given discussion topic. If it weren't for the quizzes being so tricky I believe I would have gotten an A. Be sure to read and listen to materials each week.

READING IS A MUST. If you have time or patience to read the chapter every week. Take the class. This is not going to be an Easy A. But probably an Easy A-.

I had Dr. Swan as a professor in UF 2nd times. I would love to take his class again again if i could. He is just inspirational and most caring professor i have seen.

This class will make you rethink everything you believe in. Professor Swan really makes you dig deep into yourself to question the things that you think are true . It is a very fun and personally challenging class. You will not regret taking it! This should be a mandatory class for most majors. Not too much work, put the time in and you'll pass.

This was the first class I ever took with Swan and, like most, was hooked ever since. Not like many online classes you've taken before since Ken makes sure he's present and listening. His passion for psych is obvious from the get-go and, if nothing else, that will push you to excel in a class that's not the easiest A, but worth the time and work.

This class (Lab Methods in Psych) is dreaded by most psych majors. However, leave it to Ken Swan to make it one for the books. He knew how students felt going in and did everything he could to spin it into a relevant and worthwhile course. No, not easy - I don't think there's anyway it could be, but a 10/10 experience with much respect to Dr. Swan.

Just take this class. Just do it, do the thing. The least regrettable professor/course you will probably make throughout undergrad. Not exaggerating, promise. Ken is such a freakin' gem and so is this course.

Ken is awesome! By far my favorite professor ever. He is very fair in grading and always finds a way to make things relevant and interesting. The class can be a lot of work, but it doesn't feel like too much. It's difficult to explain, he assigns a good amount of reading and material, but it all feels necessary and he makes the class worthwhile.

Every week you have a couple of videos and reading to do before Sunday and on Sunday there will be a quiz and possibly a discussion. Sometimes the quizzes get a bit confusing. If anything you can challenge your answer if you feel like you answered right.

Ken is the best! The class itself is super interesting (totally sucks it's online). He's funny and has no filter. Weekly readings and videos can feel long and quizzes can be tricky, but not impossible. Most docs are not command f-able, so you actually have to read & understand them.
