Definitely worth going to class just to look at. By far the hottest prof on campus. Highly recommend this class to anyone, even if it's not related to your degree. Very intelligent and helpful answering any and all questions. Don't ever change!

he isn't an expert in bacteria and lichens (he said so himself!) which is good, because he doesn't make the slides too in depth and hard.... his portion of the test was EASY!!! the others are ick though.

Extremely helpful and doesn't teach anything over our heads. Test was pretty easy, but you still have to study for it.

He's funny (example: question on test was what is a chloroplasts? multiple choice answers included "Wilson's favourite organelle," etc.) He's also not very hard, and is actually quite CUTE. If you're looking for the best bio110 prof, he is the one. It's the consensus between everyone.

Ok so probably one of the easiest profs in the biology department! But he is awesome, he's super cool. Tests are fairly easy (common sense). Most of what he talks about in class is on the slides.

So we had 3 profs teaching our Bio 110 class. He was definitely the best one. Likes to joke around and makes his lectures enjoyable to sit through. His exam questions are almost all from his notes.

Fair and Funny. Great guy. Three years later I can still remember some of the material from his class (which I think is impressive for an intro class..).

He is a MUST for any student who's a little scared of university biology. He made everything that confused me in a high school a lot more clear. He skipped a lot of difficult concepts and said that if we wanted to know that stuff we could take an upper year course. Made the material easy to digest and was also very funny. He does podcasts too!

In the first half of class I wasn't a fan of his teaching style. The midterm did not help. After I definitely enjoyed his class. He cleared up a lot of concept and worked through things to give good knowledge overall. Makes class interesting with tidbits as well. I would suggest him for first year bio. Very good! Great final as well!

Dr.Wilson has made me love 8:30am. He posts notes which is soo helpful. Workload is very reasonable and marking is fair. His class is more enjoyable than biol226 and way more interesting. Favorite prof ever.

Great prof! Really easy to understand. Keeps lectures light, interesting, and relaxed. Goes through notes much faster after the midterm, although still allows time for questions. Gave us a 3+ hour extra Q&A session before midterm. Exams were not a breeze, but if you take notes and skim the text, you will pass with 75+. Take this class!!

He i one of not many bio profs that teaches the whole class himself, makes for a really easy class and more comfortable asking questions. If you have the chance to take the class with him, take it!

I LOVE THIS PROF! Ken made me love biology and his teaching style is amazing. He has sample questions to use in class to make sure you are grasping what he is teaching and give you an idea of what type of questions will be used on his tests. GET THE MIDTERM from the previous year because a lot of the questions will be repeated. TAKE IT WITH HIM :)

A fantastic professor. Taught Bio 120 in a clear, simple, straightforward way. His exams are not super easy but are fair - all questions are covered in class (take extra notes based on what he says!). He is very approachable and knowledgeable. His classes are interesting and fun. TAKE HIS CLASS!!! You won't regret it!

Ken was an amazing prof. He loves when you ask questions, and will always make time to answer them. His tests were brutal. STUDY! Don't just read over your notes because his questions are applied. If you work hard, I'm positive you could achieve a good mark.

Final was super easy, everything was directly from the notes or in class. He posted everything, but sometimes went into detail in classes, so attendance is pretty helpful, BUT he did lecture capture so if you missed you could just watch at home. Took bio 120 with Ken last semester. Although his midterm was fairly hard, his classes were usually pretty interesting - and it definitely helps that he's easy on the eyes! I would recommend him for sure. Just make sure you're ready to read lots from the textbook!

Dr. Wilson is probably the nicest prof on campus. He is super helpful when it comes to any questions you may have. The content is a bit vague at times, but if you ask him for help, he will always give it to you. Great guy (and he's cute for being an older guy)

He's helpful, tries to be entertaining and keep lectures interesting. Very approachable and is very down to earth. Probably one of the easiest classes I've taken. Midterm was mainly hypotheticalsituational questions, so be prepared. Can't regurgitate info, need to know how to apply it. OLI was more useful for notes than lectures usually

Dr Wilson is a very experienced prof. He really breaks biology down and cares wants to know if you understand. He does get annoyed if people come late or leave early because it distracts him. But all in all, a recommended prof!

weekly quizzes really help

Make sure you show up to class. The course material is a bit tough, but he makes it as easy as possible. Clear lectures, generally funny guy. Lots of little online quizzes which are good mark boosters. Very, very good professor. If you have any difficulties in biology, definitely try to get in his class.

Ken is a great prof. But being in a class of 500 kids makes you more of a number than a person. Funny and helpful. Warning: if you do make noise he will flip so be careful. Try not to leave early as this also sets him off.

Ken Wilson is an excellent lecturer. Had a split biology class between him and Dr. Chedrese. This didn't bother me although their notes are pretty different which was weird to study off of for the final. Gives excellent problem solving questions which were really nice to study off of. Probably the best prof for bio 120.

Dr. Wilson openly admits to not knowing a lot of stuff that people ask in class, which is great because he's honest, but kind of sucks cause sometimes answers are nice. His lectures are fairly heavy, but good. Lectures, OLI quizzes, Mid-terms/finals, and labs all have different information, so you have to study all around. Be prepared to study.

Amazing prof! He always adds humor to the lectures which make them a little more interesting. He records his voice and uploads it with the powerpoints, so if you miss class it isn't a big deal at all. You go through a lot of info in the lectures but it is a very busy course so that can't be helped. Usually lets you out of class early as well!

Loves plant biology and is proud to see his students motivated to succeed. Gives tips for his exams and the textbook is good for clarification. There was a lot of genetics/mitosis repetition from high-school. Enjoyable course overall and not too difficult if you actually studied frequently. Lots of high-achievers in this course.
