Dr. Evans' class is very challenging. She is a clear teacher and is always willing to help. The online homework is time-consuming but extremely helpful. The quizzes and exams are difficult but fairly graded. She gives a lot of partial credit.

Dr. Evans is a great professor. She takes time to explain the information presented in class and she always answers questions. She is passionate about teaching and she genuinely cares if a student is learning in class or not. I have learned a lot in her class and I would recommend her to anyone taking chemistry.

Dr.Evans is a fabulous teacher, who really wants students to understand the material. Although the tests are sometimes difficult, she grades fairly and gives points for showing your work, which she uses to determine if a student understands the material or not. The recitation quizzes are also very helpful and are a great test prep.

Professor Evan's general chem I class is ALOT of work. Expect 4 moderately difficult exams, a midterm, a final, a group research project, online homework and weekly recitation quizes at 8 AM. However, she is a good professor that teaches material quickly, but well. Cares about her students and is always willing to help with questions.

If you want a professr who's real? Go with Evans! Yeah she does ask a lot of you, BUT this is college! Yes you have to study to get a good grade and the night before won't cut it! Her exams are fair representation of the material and she really prepares you for organic. Honestly, i didn't even study gen chem for the MCAT and got in.THANKS DR EVANS!

Best professor I have ever had. Extremely smart, fair, friendly, and passionate about her students and subject. I learned so much in her class. She was always more than willing to meet and work with students. I worked really hard to earn my A, her class is not easy. But it is fair and reasonable Help is always there for those who ask. Great woman.

Dr. Evans does a very good job in giving you exactly what you need to know for the exams. If you pay attention during her lectures and at recitation, you will get the material and probably get A's on the exams. She is always ready to help and wants her students to succeed.

As a freshman, I was admitted directly into CHM 1070 and I must say it was a struggle. I came from a no Chemistry background and I just felt overwhelmed. Dr. Evans was ALWAYS there for me. She truly is such a good-hearted professor. Although I did not get an A, I have no regrets taking her class. If you put in time and effort, you will do great.

Evans was very fair on grading and extremely nice. Do not buy the book code from the bookstore. You can get it for cheaper from the sapling website.

Dr. Evans is a great professor overall. If you have any questions, stop by her office during office hours for help. She grades partial credit on the exams, so at least try the problems! Her PowerPoint slides are very clear, and the Sapling homework reflects her exams well. The final is a standardized exam, so having that extra curve helps greatly.

Really great teacher, she was super approachable if you ever needed anything. Made me feel comfortable in the classroom. Not going to lie the power points do get a little boring at times, but there really is no other way to teach and she really tries to make you understand. One of the best teachers I've had!

You should definitely take her if you have the chance, she is an amazing professor that teaches incredibly well. Dr. Evans cares about us and wants us all to do well! She is always willing to meet to go over questions. Homework Qs are hard and exhausting but if you do them and know them you'll get an A. She gives a lot of help on manuscripts and other drafts so you get the best grade. Lectures are clear and helpful. Dr. E. is the best prof at the university!

Dr. Evans is a VERY caring and responsive professor. She truly loves chemistry and it shows. She is willing to go out of her way to help you succeed. However, CHM1080 was a very difficult class for me. If you chemistry is not your strongest subject, take it with her!!

Dr. Evans is one of the best instructors at UDM. Her lectures are clear and she makes Gen Chem 2 very understandable and memorable. I left her class feeling that I could answer any Gen Chem 2 question presented to me. Her exams are very fair and straightforward. She is also always available in office hours and is happy to help.

Dr. Evans is so sweet and truly cares for her students. Even with online lectures this year, she was accessible and helpful. There is 5 exams, 2 being midterm and final. To do good in her class, you have to do good on her exams. Also do sapling, pre-synch, and attend the lectures. She offers extra credit, do it ALL!! I love her and would take again

I loved Dr.E because she made difficult concepts in chem very easy to comprehend. She also likes to give lots of extra credit! Despite this I did not like how her exams were very rushed since you would have to finish it all in a short period of time.

Prof Evans is one of the best chemistry instructors I've ever had. She cares about her students and is always more than ready to work with you. The tests are fairly easy if you pay attention in class, understand the problems, and do the homework. Her recitation covers material on the test and she provides so many resources.

Professor Evans is very nice and always willing to help. She goes very fast during lecture and gives a lot of homework. Her exams are only 13 questions, 3 free response and 10 multiple choice. Her teaching style is sometimes hard to follow along, having the students to teach themselves in their own time. She gives A LOT of extra credit thankfully.

I loved my semester in 1070 so much that I am taking her again for 1080. Listen to her guidance and suggestions in the beginning of class on how to approach the homework and assignments. Its a lot of work but you will do well if you put in the effort. She is willing to help so be sure to email her. Exams from notes/homework problems so study those.

Dr. Evans is the best. She provides endless examples of the content she is lecturing and also gives many assignments to make sure you understand the material. She answers emails very quickly, and deeply cares about her students. As long as you do the work and practice, you will pass. Take this professor!

I wish I had more space to write because she is seriously so incredible, I'm a bio major and chem is not my forte, I told dr. evans I was worried about passing and she went out of her way every week to make sure I understood material and always re explained anything I didn't understand. Use the notes she gives and study them and you'll pass!

BEST CHEM PROF. Take Dr. Evans if you can. She truly made me love chem and I wish she taught organic chemistry. She really cares about her students success and will do anything to help you. If you can keep up with the pace of the course, you will do great! I highly recommend her.

Dr. Evans is a great professor! Her lectures are very fast-paced which is a little hard to keep up with. She gives problem sets that are identical to the short answer on exams and exam review sheets that tells you everything you need to know for the multiple choice. There are 6 exams, but she lets you drop one.

Dr Evans is AMAZING! Do the problem sets & achieve hw,you will be WELL prepared for exams.The exams are easy & she gives 4 extra credit point per exam. She has lots of other extra credit too. She truly cares about the success of her students & always offers help if needed. Lectures are fast paced & its overwhelming at first but its not bad at all.

BEST CHEM PROF AT UDM. She prepares you very well for exams and offers SO MUCH extra credit (maybe too much) ... Go to class, do the achieve, do the problem sets, do the follow-ups and you will have sucess in this class. She is also very apprachable and WANTS and LOVES to help when needed.

I hate having to leave such a bad rating especially when the professor is very sweet but unfortunately she isn't the best fit for this course. She's great she understands the material pretty well she can probably ace her own exam but for us students who are working day and night to afford tuition it's very sad and humiliating being her students

She always answers emails and her exams are not that bad. theres hw and problem sets that rack up points too You need to study but you can definitely get an A in the class ignore the spam bad reviews theyre probably from people who didnt like her acs final but big curve on it

She gives extra credit and is very accessible outside of class. She does give the ACS which sucks but it's curved heavily.

Dr Evans is a great prof and has many office hours Theres 4 exams a midterm and ACS final and a lot of extra credit i think she gave us 18 or 20 points the unit exams are mid and the midterm was all MC the final wasnt easy but the curve was huge and it brought my grade up somehow
