Very easy going teacher, she cares about her job and is very clear on the assignments and expectations for the semester. She is a middle school teacher so that tells you all. I recommend taking her

Ms. Brown is an AMAZING Teacher. She may seem strong but believe me she cares about her students & want the best for you. She helps with everything and is always an e-mail away. There aren' many teachers like her now a days! If you have the opportunity to take her class, Do it! You wont regret it!!

Professor Brown will restore your faith in Community College Education. She's very dedicated to her class and her passion makes you want to do better. This is a great class and she keeps it interactive. She pretty much gives you everything on a silver platter so you can not only pass, but do so with an A. Two speeches count for most of your grade.

By far my favorite professor. The assignments may look hard at first but once you perform a few speeches, the work becomes much easier. You'll have to perform 4 speeches BUT, you can still pass this class if you're shy or not a great public speaker. She makes it simple and fun to study communication.

By all means take this class! At first I was iffy about taking this class because I am not a huge public speaker but she brought the best out of me. She is funny and very passionate about teaching. She is clear about she wants out of students and also makes the class fun and interactive. I would recommend her to anyone.

She is such an amazing woman. I would take her class every semester if I could. First day of class is pretty intimidating but that is how she establishes the respect. A good variety of group projects and solo speeches. She got many people to overcome their fear of public speaking. She walks through everything with us and not a day is wasted.

At the beginning she is really hard to comprehend and very strict, however after 2 or 3 weeks (when the careless students drop out or get drop out for not showing up) she became one of the most amazing teachers you can ever wish. Ms. K Brown at first has a bit of an abrasive personality, however she really does care about her students. She is funny and always has something interesting to say. Some of her assignments may feel silly but keep in mind she is required to follow a curriculum. If you don't skip her classes it would be very difficult to fail this course.

She can come off as abrasive and her facial expressions (when someone asks a 'silly' question) make you not want to ask questions. So pay close attention to what she says. She's not interested in excuses or explanations. She's a very fair grader. Come to class, do your work and you should have no problems in this course. I took it in six weeks.

I know a lot people think that she is a hard professor, but in my case I loved her method. I improved a lot my skills doing my presentations and she also help with her advises. The first class she was strict, but once you know her, she is a great college professor.

We had one test online and was all based on the chapters that she posts on blackboard, very easy as long as you read them. As long as you follow her instructions and become creative with the speeches you should do good in class.

Professor Brown give you everything to pass. Rubrics, take the tests at home, all notes and powerpoints, speech practice, lots of writing tho. Fast and fair. This class is COLLEGE level class and Professor Brown grades sooooo hard on writing. You have to study independently as she will give you the stuff you need and you dont need the book but she grades hard. I took the course in a 6 week period. it involved 3 writing assignments, 3 tests taken at home, and 1 speech. the writing is slightly difficult to do in a 2-week span but it is possible. she gives clear feedback

The high school students were God awful. I signed up for college not to be in a high school class. She is a good teacher but because the class is 8 weeks so these high school students gave her a really hard time. This is my second class with high school students and it really sucks. They are terrible. Lot of papers in this class!

I had this professor for summer 2021 and i loved this class , it was a 6 week term and we only had 2 video speeches and 1 final on blackboard . She grades attendance and gives super simple assignments. Easy A as long as you follow directions.

Three things show up, do assignments, and participate. Super relatable gives great feedback and the syllabus was clear easy A+ as long as you do as instructed. she played games in the winner got extra points but you really don't need them.

Good teacher! Easy work. You can tell the whiners who should drop out. This class was EZ!!!! Fun and you get points for playing stuff like Kahoot!

I think professor Brown is awesome, she has a strong personality which to some may come off rude , but she is just passionate and really wants her students to succeed . Ms. K Brown is an amazing professor. I took her class during summer and it was great. At the beginning I thought it was a lot of work but its only an assignment per week, and some video speeches. She reviewed the assignments in class, and explained everything pretty well. I truly loved this class.

Some of these reviews, in my opinion, are a lot too harsh. She is fun and down to earth. She doesn't lecture in a monotone way or do poorly. The assignments if you followed the instructions they weren't challenging. She provides excellent comments after you turn in your work, and she really looks everything over.

BLUF: Just do the work. Lectures can be interesting, but ultimately it comes down to the assignments/speeches. Just put in the effort and you wont fail this class.

Awesome Professor, she was really down to earth with her grading policy. The majority of the coursework is the 17 Quizzes that she assigns at the beginning of the semester that can be completed same-day. The written assignments can easily be completed during class-time, and there's only 5 or 6 of them.

This class was very easy. There are six writing assignments, and the professor is lenient with the due dates and grading. The assignments aren't complicated but time-consuming. There are a total of seven quizzes based on the textbook. There was one straightforward group project. The course has two speeches; the grading is very strict for them.

She's nice and gives you a lot of time for completing assignments. Don't play with her because she'll tell you exactly how she feels. Other than that since I took the class only we had writing assignments and two speeches. If you don't do the speeches you will not pass since it drops you a whole letter grade.

She has a tough exterior but honestly I think she is just tired but being treated bad by students. You can definitely pass if you just do the hw and participate. She will also try her best to make sure you get a high grade. The only bad side is that she does not allow resubmissions under any circumstance so keep that in mind. Overall decent class.

Professor Brown's SPC1017 class is manageable if you stay on top of the assignments. The workload is reasonable, and Unstuckstudy can be a great study aid. Just do the work and you'll likely get a good grade.

LISTEN: She has a tough exterior so you need to look through that, but is passionate in what she does and is very reasonable in her expectations. LENIENT late policy, she's not willing to be haggled by excuses. Tends to bring a bit of herself (interests/life) into the lecture which i appreciated but you won't get by if you don't try. I loved her!!!

She wasn't as bad as the reviews made her seem. There is no late work policy. She's pretty chill and didnt give me a hard time. Theres like 2 group projects, a couple writing assignments, 3 speechs and the rest is quizzes.
