I took this class expecting to have "God bless America" drilled into my head. Prof. A. made it easy to do well with a moderate amount of effort but didn't overburden us with tons of reading and HW. The lecture on the FISA Court is worth taking his class for. A good choice for this class.

He teaches both gov 1 and 2. He gives test reviews that make up 95% of your test. answers to test review comes straight off your notes. Extremely easy class. lots of extra credit. only three tests...but they come with a test review!!!

Prof Abbott is by far the best professor ever! He's really nice and easy-going and he doesn't want any of his students to fail. He gives lots of extra credit opportunities so it is possible to make an A in his class. He also tells funny stories and keeps his lectures short so you don't get easily bored. DEFINITELY TAKE HIM!!

Professor Abbott was a really cool teacher. His test were just like the reviews. If you take notes everyday you'll be able to pass his class with an a. And he never assigns anything from the book, so you don't need one.

Took him for both 2301 & 2302. Abbott is definitely the best government professor to take! For most of the time, you just come into class and copy the notes he provides. His reviews are exactly like the tests, so the only way to fail is to not copy the notes and not do the review. Take him and you will not regret it! Easy A!!!

Seriously one of the best teachers I've ever had. Finds ways to make class fun. Plays game, and tells funny stories. Gives a good amount of quizzes which range from easy to moderately hard. Gives a review sheet for each exam which is almost a carbon copy of the exam. Do the review, get an A. Highly recommend. Go Cougs!

Dr. Abbott is an awesome professor. He makes govt interesting. He has a broad knowledge. The best thing I like in his class is the daily game in which he asks all kind of question in nature, sport, society...It's is too easy to make A+ on the test if u study(do the review). He gives alot of bonus but he asks outside govt. Dr. Abbott is the BEST.

Excellent teacher. Attend class, take good notes (also note things he says in class that may not be on the slides, he will usually use as extra credit or question on test). Does give Quizes and Daily grades however, he takes the best 10 out of 12. Quizes you will have to read chapter for and they are spontaneous. Very funny guy, enjoyed it!

He is the easiest teacher you'll ever get for Am.Gov. If you are a poli-sci major or a gov major, don't take him because he's not challenging enough. Quizes come from chapters from the book but they're not worth that much. You'll nail his tests if you do the review and study-it's straight from the power points, very easy! and class is so sfun!

he is the best lecturer ever.i mean his lectures and easily understandable, he makes them interesting, he tells you stories about his experiences to make you laugh, his exams are pretty much all he gives you in the review sheets.

Very Easy teacher! Doesnt care if you dont come to class but he gives pop quizzes and in class activities randomly so if you miss any its a zero,you have to do a debate, gives you study guides b4 the test which is pretty much the test. Very helpful and also gives extra credit.

fairly easy to make an A, there are pop quizes so beware. lots of notes, and some book study. he makes up for it by giving an awesome review sheet. if you answer the 30+ questions on the review you will get a 100 on the test, highly recomended

This is by far the best class i have taken at Cy-Fair College! Prof Abbott is awesome and knows a lot about government and doesn't force his views like most profs do. He gives a review that is exactly like the test. Although, he does give pop quizzes so do the reading. i enjoyed his class so much i'm taking the mini-mester with him!

He is an awesome professor, he has really good stories, but does not do it too much...he is willing to help, if you study for the test what he tells you, you will pass! i normally hate classes like this but he made it a good experience

I love him!! He gives you all the tools to do good all you have to do is use them. He is really laid back and has been one of my favorite teachers ever. he also gives study guides for the test so there is no guessing on what is going to be on them. as long as you put effort into it you will pass with atleast a "B". i highly recommend him!

Finally a Prof that has fun in life. He loves to play little games but they always help your grades. If you do his reviews I promise you will get an A on tests. Take the notes do the review play along with the little games and you will leave with an A and a smile.

This guy is very easy, if you just care about passing the class and getting your degree without learning anything, this is the guy to get. Very easy, laid back and sitting in one of his classes will take you back to your freshman year in high school. Not very intersiting and his class is not at college level.

Professor Abbott is a wonderful government teacher. I just took him in the Summer mini semester. If you take him you will learn a lot in government and law. As long as you do the reviews you will get an A on the exams. Furthermore, he will give you a hand as long as he believes you actually care about your academics. Abbott?s class is interesting.

I took Prof. Abbott in the summer of 08 at cy-fair. BEST PROF I HAD THAT SUMMER! and i took 6 classes. First of all, if you are lucky to get him, take him. Second, IF you do his reviews, you WILL GET AN A. PERIOD! HOWEVER, this class is not a blow off class. Give him and yourself the respect as this is a college level class and you will get an A/B.

Very easy teacher. He is also very funny. He likes to talk to students about things other than GOVT (especially TV shows and stuff). He gives out a review before every test. Just studying that review will get you an A. He has easy quiz/daily grades and one easy group presentation. Highly recommended!

Mr. Abbott was great! He gives a quiz over nearly every chapter, but if you read the book and the summary at the end you're sure to do fine. He also gives great reviews prior to the test and the questions are directly from the notes you take during class. Highly recommend.

This guy's a great teacher. He is funny and uses his own experiences when teaching. Tests are very easy and are exactly like his reviews. Questions are only over lecture notes. Quizzes almost every week over chapters in the textbook but all you really need to know are the vocabulary words and you'll do fine. I highly recommend him!

He is a great teacher. His classes consist of taking a quiz over chapters you read for homework and then lecture in class with great stories to go along with the lessons. He also gives reviews for the exams and if you do them you should do well on all his tests.

Great professor. Very nice, helpful, and funny. Lots of experience outside teaching so he brings those into lecture and they are often hilarious stories. Really wants you to do well. quizzes over the assigned readings are the only thing that hurt you. Do your work and you can't fail!

Professor Abbot is awesome! He either will write on the board or do a power point for the notes, so you wont miss something. He gives real life examples of government terms so they are very clear to understand...he has a good sense of humor with these stories too :) If you do the review sheets and come to majority of the classes, you will get an A.

I didn't realize till the end of the semester how easy it was to make an A. It made me kinda embarrassed when I made a B. I didn't go t class regularly but as long as you do the study guide you'll ace the test.

Professor Abbott's class was very easy. All that was required was to take notes during class, and the notes would coincide directly with the tests. His lectures were really easy to understand and the the tests were right from the review. all in all very easy class if you pay attention

Professor Abbott is a wonderful teacher, he is an expert at what he is teaching and has a law degree. His lectures are very detailed and you want to write everything he writes on the board. You are supposed to read the textbook a lot which I did not. His reviews are very accurate to the test. I got a B without opening my textbook.

Good teacher. His lectures can be a bit boring, but towards the end of the semester he decided to make powerpoints of his lecture rather than just standing infront of the board and talking the whole class. Tests are just like the study guide! 3 test the whole semester. 2 regular test and one final. Overall I'd say he's a good professor.

He is a great teacher always on time and cool company but hes notes sometimes aren't like the test. You have to be in class to get the notes because he does not post them online. the test seem to be harder than the review; but the review helps

Really nice guy, all you have to do is make sure you take notes and listen. You study the review thoroughly and you will do fine on the test. Overall, no homework, just 4 grades so don't screw up. Its a really easy class, even got me a bit interested into politics.

Took his class as a winter mini. Super easy-- just pay attention. Attend class because he gives LOTS of extra credit as incentive to attend class! Doesn't post notes online (unless not covered in class), so that's another incentive to attend. Definitely one of those teachers students need more of.

Had a great experience in his class. If you do the work, which is very little, you will pass the class with flying colors. He lectures the whole semester but he clarifies all the information that is needed.

Professor Abbott is awesome! TAKE HIM. I took a 6 week course and most people in my class passed with A's and B's, just have to show up to class and study for the exams. Pretty easy course:2 exams, group project, and final. Provides study guides and plenty of extra credit opportunities! He cares about his students! Definitely recommended Abbott!

Good teacher

He's nice but all through the semester he would always talk about Political Science and we weren't a political science class. The only reason it sucks is because he takes grades on political science assignments! BUT he is a nice professor and the assignments are super easy! Plus he made us buy a textbook that we only opened once!

Abbott was such a good teacher! If you did the work then you passed He's not a very hard grader he just wants you to get the concept of things His lectures weren't boring He cared if you came to class, but tardies don't really matter just be there, not extremely late either His FINAL exam was easy as heck! The review was practically the test!

The work was easy, the presentations were Easy. This was a Easy A class. I highly recommend this class for anyone who wants an A. He follows the syllabus. He's great. Basically if you show up and do the work you get an A.

Took him for my EDUC class. Awesome professor. Everything he teachers is very clear. He won't try to trick you or make your life hard. Easy A, but DO EXPECT to do some work, won't kill you though. Would def take him again.

This guy is pretty chill, only thing is you have to go to class in order to pass the exams. Also, theres very few grades which I like. Just a few online quizzes, and 3 exams that you get to take online.

As long as you show up, complete and turn in on time work, this class is easy.

He cares for you to do well in his class. He takes late work and is very understanding. His grading is not hard. Turn assignments in on time and you will pass the class with an A.

Attendance Policy Required Participation

This was a late start class for me, so there were assignments due every week. Youll have like 1 or 2 group projects and 2 career projects to do and present. Its an easy A class as long as you show up and do your work. He is really flexible if you turn assignments late too and if you finish everything on time, hell let you leave class early!

Honestly, there was a paper and/or presentation due each week. Definitely not my favorite professor, but I would take again just because as long as you turned in the assignment you got an A. Bring homework from another class that way class-time isn't a waste of your time.

Professor Abbott was a pretty cool professor to have for EDUC. His class obviously was an easy A, just as long as you listen to his lectures and do the homework. I would recommend taking him if your are a first year student attending to Lonestar :)

Best professor hands down, seems like he cares about every topic he was teaching.

His class was easy since it consists in reading the textbook and completing the assignments, and sometimes you'll have to participate in some discussions. I just did not like the class since sometimes you have to work in group, the rest of the lectures were fine because you just have to read and write.

This professor makes EDUC very easy if you show up to class and do your assignments on time, also he gives you chances to complete your assignments after the due dates if you talk to him and let him know why you couldn't do it before the due date. I recommend you to take this professor because he's very chill with everything.

Professor Abbott is a fantastic professor when it comes to constitutional law. You all will learn so much from him regarding the subject. I recommend doing all the assigned readings and finding a good group that way, you all will do well on the group project assignment and get good feedback from each other.

Everything about this professor is amazing, he is really clear with instructions and understanding and as long as you are willing to do the homework (which is not a lot) you will for sure pass his class, there's no reason why someone fails his class. Attendance is not required but I would recommend it. Overall and amazing professor
