Amateur comedian who teaches, writes and does anthropology in his spare time. Feder's the man! Knows his stuff too, but'll spend the first 5 minutes of class talking about his cat's litter box. All part of the charm.

Feder is Awesome and Amusing! He understands his students and is one of the few teachers who wants to see all his students pass!

Not even my major but I take his classes for fun. He is my favorite teacher in this school. Ask about his cat groucho.

There isn't anything bad I can really say.....just take his class, even if you don't need to...take it as an elective or something!!!!

Very funny and different from all other teachers. The subject matter isn't always clear (on whether or not it is important to know for a test), but a very fun and generally easy class. Feder is an experience, one of the few classes I enjoyed going to.

interesting class. he is funny and makes many things clear. tests were pretty easy, just study the book and notes and itll be fine. make sure you take the notes though. good luck

extremely personable guy, you can tell he loves doing what he's doing. lectures are interesting and humorous. he's a tough grader but it's because he's really smart--just go to class and pay attention, the material isn't hard. the only class i look forward to going to.

He is an awesome teacher!! Tests are difficult, but as long as you pay attention and take notes you'll do fine! This isn't even my major and I loved the class, take a class of his!! The only way you will not like this class is if you're looking for an easy A.

Ok class, the exams you have to study for. reas the book, he wrote it. He tells a lot of interesting and funny stories that have to do with the class. I would recommend him to fullfill your requirments. Read the book and do good on the project. I hardly ever went to class and got a B.

Excellent, All teachers should learn from him on how to teach. You learn something, you laugh, and tests are reasonable. This man should receive an award.

Last semester was my 1st semester at CCSU and he was probably my favorite teacher ever. I've taken well over 30 college courses. He made the class fun, entertaining, and easy to understand the topics. I don't think that I've ever "enjoyed" a class before his. I definitely recommend Professor Feder.

He is a great techer and the class is fun. He is very interesting and makes the class worthwhile. IF you have a chance to take him do it you wont regret it.

best professor ive had yet

Probably the most entertaining teacher I've had yet. The tests are a little tough but if you read the book and come to class, you're good. Great sense of humor, makes things that normally wouldn't be interesting, interesting. I looked forward to his class everyday.

My favorite teacher ever! Funny as hell! Love the stories, and, YES, they actually relate to Archaeology. His multiple choice tests were a bit difficult though but I still loved the class. My second class with him and I'd definitely recommend him to everyone else.

Tells some pretty funny stories, but you better listen to them, because that is your notes. He integrates his lecture with funny jokes. The only thing I think I had a good grade on was his project.

I enjoyed this class a lot. He tells really funny stories and is very interesting. The tests come from the reading and lectures and as long as you do the work you will do well.

Very funny teacher - Doc Brown meets Comedy Central. Great stories, very helpful. Only three exams; two "midterms" and a final. One project, that doesn't sound fun at first, but ends up being fun. Make sure you attend the second class, or else you will regret it!!!! Easy A, fills Study Area II requirement; worth it!

What a fantastic teacher. So great to listen to, will make just about anything interesting. Same as below, 3 tests and one project. You need to read the book to do well on the tests though. He wrote it, so there are things on the tests that are only in the book. I would recommend him to anyone.

Amazing teacher! Second time taking him, and he was awesome as usual. He always keeps class interesting, and is really good at splitting up the grading between papers and tests. DEFINITELY take him if you have the oppurtunity. Great guy.

excellent teacher. i havent heard a bad thing about him. The only problem i have had is that he has so many students that enjoy his class and want to be his friend that he will not know you by name unless your in his department.

Kenny Feder is awesome! I took this class to fulfill a gen ed and he made me want to change my major to Archaeology. He is funny and lively and makes class interesting. Attendance is not mandatory, but you need to go most of the time if you want to do wel on the exams. Very fair grader, very reasonable. Take his class if you get a chance!

attendance is not mandatory, a cool guy. there are only 3 exams including the final and a project final is not cummulative. he definatley makes things interesting

He is a great teacher...funny jokes around alot ...makes everyone have a good time just an overall great teacher there should be millions more like him he is just a great start if you have him in the morning it makes the rest of your teachers seem boring and time flys by...attendance is not taken but you need to know the things gone over in class

This is one of the classes I was excited to go to each week, even if it was to see pictures of Loch Ness or hear about Kenny's "love" for von Daniken. You learn a lot about what you already thought you knew in this class. He really knows what he's talking about because he's been there or has talked to the people who study it. Great class!

This class was the most interesting and fun class I have ever had. He is extremely funny, helpful, understanding, and cool. I always looked forward to coming to the class. Attendance is not mandatory but the classes are a LOT of fun. Just pay attention in class, do the assignments, and read his textbook and you will ace the class. Only 2 tests!

Really, not as funny as many have previously said. He thinks he's much funnier than he actually is. He knows the subject matter, but sometimes he keeps repeating himself. Also, four classes were spent watching videos. Overall, pretty good, but nothing to get excited about.

Feder is the nicest coolest professor. His class (Anth 150)was really easy as long as you pay attention. He's always open to extensions. Really funny and kind. I definitely recommend taking him!

Amazing class, and much easier content than expected. He presented it all with powerpoints, and if you missed class discussions, just read his book and you know everything you need to know to get an A. Lots of hot girls seem to take his classes as well, yet another reason to sign up.

Excellent teacher. Interesting, funny, keeps your attention, down to earth. Presents everything in the power points and if you read the book your golden. I actually really enjoyed the book a lot. Very lenient and knows his stuff. I definitely recommend him, and the class.

This guy is hilarious. The whole subject of Archaeology isn't really that interesting, but this guy makes it funny. Very easy class. There's 3 tests and a simple project. If you study for the tests you'll do fine. HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED

Professor Feder is awesome, most laid back guy, he is EXTREMELY funny and puts jokes into everything he does. Lectures can get dry, but the material isnt that interesting to begin with unless youre into that. Attendance isnt mandatory, but he puts alot questions on the test that have to do with what was said in class. 3 tests 1 project, recommended

Teaches this class with Dr. Larsen. There's so much good I could say, but I'll limit it to this: Dr. Feder is a great professor, very interesting, very nice, very cool, an easy grader, and he's hilarious. I swear if he wasn't a professor of anthropology/archaeology he'd be a comedian. Makes me wish I was an anthropology major. HIGHLY recommended!

If you have a chance to take his class and don't, you'll regret if for the rest of your life. Seriously, I'm not exaggerating. It's impossible NOT to get an A in his class. It's also impossible for his class not to become your favorite one of all time. Stop reading this and go register for his class before it fills up.

I took the Intro to Archaeology Lab with him, and even though it was an independent project, Kenny was always available to answer any of the questions I had. He even took the time to look over my final papers before i handed them in to make sure I had everything. Fantastic teacher!

Best professor on campus, hands down. Taking a Feder class should be a requirement because they're that great.

Federrrrr! Such an awesome guy. He's really hilarious. PowerPoints are mainly pictures. Take notes from his lecture! If you do that, it's no problem. Textbook is only used for extra credit questions on tests. 3 tests and one project. Not too bad at all. Go to class though! He's a really funny guy!

Amazing guy. He's been teaching for over 20 years, he's got it down. You'll have a great time in his class if you don't hate archaeology. The book outlines 5 of the 35 questions on the test, so its not too important. Kick back and listen to his stories during the lectures, take some notes, and you'll do fine

Here'sssss Kenny - The Tonight show starring Kenny Feder - in other words, this guy is hilarious. An amazing lecturer that gives great stories on archaeology. Fun and laid back class. Not alot of note-taking. 3 exams that are mult choice (around 50 questions) and a fun easy project. - Kenny is the man!! The class was a breeze, insightful,& fun

Hands down most enjoyable courses at CCSU with this professor. Great teaching style, funny stories, very experienced in his field.

Loved Archaeology. The tests are fairly easy if you take notes in class and listen to his stories. Attendance is not recorded, but very important to know details discussed in class. The tests work around his stories in class. The power points he gives you on his website do not have descriptions that you'll need. I would take this again. 10/10

Even though attendance isn't recorded, you do have to show up. There's very little to take notes on, so if you wish to be well prepared for tests don't miss many classes. If you do all that and pay attention, you'll do just fine. His stories are also very worth listening to.

Unbelievably great professor. Hands down favorite prof at CCSU. Lectures are interesting and keep your attention. He makes class funny and the material understandable. Made me want to learn more about archeology. Assignments are clear and he is there for help. Tests are essay questions. Definitely take this professor! fantastic guy all around.

Don't take this class if you're not interested because you willl dread it. He's an awesome profesor but if you're not going to want to follow. It's a lot of information and the lecture is long.

Love his classes and him as a person. his lectures are long, but he puts them on blackboard ahead of time.

Feder is my favorite professor, he makes sure to keep the lectures interesting & funny. Wish I could take more classes with him honestly. Only had two exams (midterm and final) and they were all essay questions. Extremely interesting class and his sense of humor made it even better. He wrote the textbook that honestly feels like reading fiction

Awesome guy, very fun class. It's basically a few exams (multiple choice) and one group project, but everyone in the group gets different grades based on their work. Try to go to class tho bc it's pretty hard to get the notes any other way and it's way more fun than reading the book. I would definitely take this class again!

Kenny is an awesome dude. He has a cult following and I totally understand why. He's super down to Earth but is also super knowledgeable on the subject matter at hand. I would definitely take a class with him if he were in my major.
