Normally I'm pretty good at Econ but this class is impossible. His tests are over nothing he teachers in class and only includes really specific information that's found in the textbook, including random facts that don't have to do with the material. Pop quizzes are also super hard and are only over stuff in the book

WORST PROFESSOR EVER. I lost my Zell Miller scholarship and almost didnt graduate high school because I took this as a dual enrollment course and almost failed. I went to his office worried about not passing/graduating; he told me "just keep up and I'll do fine." Only 3 tests+final and a couple quizzes. NO TAKE HOME/PARTNER QUIZZES. DO NOT TAKE HIM

Dr Gilliam is very knowledgeable & has a good sense of humor. Go to class, stay off your laptop & phone. He takes random attendance and gives pop quizzes. He's very fair in grading and gave opportunity to make up a poor test grade. He gives study guides for tests, but make sure you've read the book. I enjoyed class & am taking him for 2300 also.

You will need to go to class everyday! Make sure to practice and study when you don't have class, as well. He does take attendance at random, so it's best to always attend class. If you do attend class, he will notice you and begin to learn your name, which will be in your favor. His tests are hard and no cheat sheet but he does curve.

Professor Gilliam is one of the worst professors i've ever had. Tests are based off who he likes and he has complete control with the points. A person next to me received full credit for the same answers I wrote down and got wrong (even with work shown). Never emails back. Grading is very unfair and dishonest.

I studied for hours for his tests and they are so hard and look nothing like the study guide he provides. The class is so unorganized and does not follow the syllabus. His lectures are nothing like the tests. I do not recommend him

He is my favorite professor at KSU. He teaches difficult subject matter, but if you show up for class he does go over exactly how to do it and will explain what may be confusing to you. He does give study guides that help a lot! The tests are out of 150 point (or something of that nature) and if you get 98/150 points on the test, your grade is 98.

I had him the second time taking 2300, i got a D the first time. And he was a lot easier to understand. Also, he listens to his students. we convinced him to make the final open note in my class.

Gilliam can be extremely rude and belittling during his lectures. His lectures themselves are pretty unorganized, and he speaks quietly and mumbles all the time. If he's your only option it's totally doable to save your GPA, but you'll have to teach yourself some outside of class and make a point to get to know him because he does pick favorites.
