Simply the best Math teacher I have studied under since grammer school! He actually cares about his students succes and or failure. His teaching techniques are geared for the students (which is most of us) who are not planning on going into rocket science
He explains everything in detail and is a great teacher. He is the best math teacher that i have ever had
This guy must be in charge of this site! I feel like I'm in the army. I might as well enlist.
He thinks he runs the school. I bet he hates rap music. He is a stiff. He must be constipated!
he is well organized and has a good system. he's also a teacher that knows what he's talking about and gives a damn if you understand or need help.
Explains concepts until they are understood. Encourages classroom participation. Very strict as far as homework requirements. If you have trouble in math he is great.
he is a very good teacher! he explains everything very well. you do get a lot of homework, but its easy!
If you ask a question, you get a ten minute lecture on how many points its worth. I don't care, I just want to know what a zero is. Lighten up.
Too regimant.
Worse Math teacher I have ever had. The man gives the class the wrong formulas and can not even do the homework problems on the board. Plus he is always being corrected by his students because he does the work wrong. He is facinated with points and simply put just doesnt know how to teach.
Teaches with supreme clarity, willing to help with a smile on face. Very demanding though! Enter class ready to Study, study, study. Difficult- yet- Altruistic Yin-Yang ;)
let's change game plan cuzx whatever your usin aint workin..I'd be surprised if ANYONE passed your CLASS!!!!!!!
If you can handle going to class everyday, and participating 20% of the time, youll easily get on his GOOD list.if you need help, just ask. he WANTS 2 help.great teacher.learned ALOT.be prepared to study, but its a GEOMETRY class, of course you have to study. it honestly wasnt that hard. you can do it!
He is willing to help, but he doesn't have the answers all the time. He is very concerned with points. You really need to work hard

Hard to pass, unless your on his good side and have a good memory.
He is reminscent of Ross Gellar from "Friends" because he over enunciates all of his words and tries his hardest to be precise as possible. He is helpful and his tests are not too difficult, but sitting through the class is a bit ho hum.
He is so anal retentive. He took over after the last guy was MIA. He was a great sub, but he's a horrible teacher because he gives pop quizzes and expects to bring the book everyday which is hard when you have 39423445454 things to carry with you and no where to put it. Very annoying guy, avoid him if you can.
BORING! He has an ear piercing voice which he makes it go higher when he's trying to prove a boring point. BORING! AVOID him as much as possible.
you know that scene in "marathon man" where that Nazi is doing dental work on Dustin Hoffman? This is like that, but with numbers.
very nice teacher, helpful,easy class
so boring and so meticulous. he is the worst math instructor I have had, and he's just so impish.

Nice teacher, very understanding and thorough. DO THE HOMEWORK and know it well and you will pass the class. Don't get behind in any ways or else you may fail
He is really nice teacher. I think the class is hard because he didn't really explain everything what we had on the homework, so it took me a long time to do homework. Oh! theres alot of homework. It won't take to long if you get the work, but if you don't then don't do it last minute because it will take forever! Overall he is a good teacher!!

He only focuses on TIME. If the class had a lot of questions on last night's homework and it would go into the "time" he would take to go over the next section, he would move onto the next section, leaving the majority of the class behind and still lost on the previous night's homework. HORRIBLE! Not helpful at all.. DO NOT TAKE HIM!
He doesn't go over everything and the only thing that he focuses on is the time that we have in class. One time some student wanted him to go over something the teacher got all pissed off about it and said "we don't have enough time to do it" he also has an annoying voice. DON'T TAKE THIS TEACHER FOR MATH!!
As many students said, he really cares about "time." You will have a chance to get extra credit at the end of the semester, but you have got to get all questions right. Otherwise, you never get any partial credit from that. But the tests are different. you can get a lot of partial points. Show him everything you know!! Overall, he is OKAY!!
He is a bad teacher. His tests are really hard and He doesnt give extra credit. I recommond to all students to not get any of his class because I did the work but I wasnt a good test taker and he didnt pass me by 5 percent. He also speeds up and looks at the time a lot. so DON'T TAKE HIM.
he means well but he is strict and hard. i did all homework, got C's on all tests. final was very difficult, got a D on the final and received a D in the course
This class was kinda annoying. He requried a lot of things, such as definition papers and so on. You will really need to study if you are looking for A. I had a hard time to memorize all the definitions on the book. I got A though.
Excellent professor as far as detailed understandable lectures go. He takes his class seriously, and his tests definately require full knowledge of the material. He is strict about starting class on time, and has set time limits on quizzes/exams. But he is extremely helpful, and takes time to explain things. He also makes time in class for questions
He is no joke. However, professional, communicates to be understood and thorough. Not to hard on the eyes either ;-). DO THE HOMEWORK! Follow his directions. Know it well and you will pass the class. Don't get behind or you may fail. DO NOT TAKE ANY MATH CLASS ON-LINE. I sat in on this class, repeated it the following week and passed. Thx Mr. C.
this guy was horrible. he teaches a hybrid class which the classes are really hard. everything is online nothing in this class is going to be easy, especially with this guy.
Great teacher, really nice guy... but his course is LOADED with work. Hybrid goes way too fast... if you're great at math, trake him, you'll really enjoy his class. But I am terrible at math and needed extra guidance... He was not able to prvide this. I sought mass anmounts of tutoring and spent my semester in the lab... but I felt like I couldn't
Please take my comment and advice seriously. Do not take his class. A lot of HW are given each day. I'm talking about 5-6 or more pages of HW.. and they are always due the next time the class meets. His exams are very hard. AND he does not believe in extra credit. There's TOO MUCH work in his class.. I am not exaggerating.
If you're a full time student and have job do not take this professor. He gives a ton of homework each day and it's due the next time class meets (which for me it's the next day). As far as answering the students questions, typically he only does half of a problem before he continues to move on to the next.
***** DON'T TAKE THIS PROF**** VERY HARD CLASS AND HE GRADES TO STRICK LOTS OF WORK HE TEACHES WELL BUT HE IS NOT SCARED TOO FAIL YOU. TOO MUCH HOMEWORK DUE AND TEST LIKE EVREY OTHER 3 DAYS [[[[ FIND ANOTHER PROF ]]]]
Do yourself a favor and don't take this class! Unless you have no life outside of his class and you plan on dedicating your life to math, taking his class will be a HUGE regret!
Don't take this class online. Impossible to get an A.
WORST TEACHER IVE EVER HAD. Cramm gave us WAY too much HW that only covered the basics & proceeded to test us on stuff WAY BEYOND THE BOOK! His lectures were him just regurgitating the easy book stuff while NOT preparing us for the impossible exams. Check this, I FLUNKED the final that was OPEN BOOK. Myself & other students are going to the dean.
Do yourself a favor, dont take this class online. There is a lot of lot of homework. Now, I regret have taken that class.
First this was online so unless you are confident in your math skills don't do it. I got a C becuase I seriously did not give it my entire effort. This guy was fair and gave more breaks then most teachers I have had. The class is seriously test based but he gives you a chance by letting the final replace your first test if it was below a C.
He is very helpful. He works with you to help you achieve the grade you want to earn. I took it online over the summer and it wasn't too difficult. There was a ample amount of homework. The quizzes were helpful. The tests were not bad either. The online book, videos, and sample questions were plenty to help someone understand the material.
This teacher was helpful and seemed to care about your grade, but DO NOT TAKE ONLINE!! It was really hard and I ended up dropping the class. There is a ridiculous ammount of homework and the tests had questions that were not covered in the homework. Do this class on campus.
i dnt take him if i were u. His tests are way too hard and he wont be very helpful since he is the kind of teacher that explains the easy stuff on class and leaves the hard part up to u. I dnt complain abut the homework as much as I complain about his teaching technique and his tests HARD.Almost everyone who took the class dropped
Hard!!!!!!!!! I couldn't agree more. He s a conceptual teacher. Do not take him online!! He shoudnt teach math 10 rlly u re gonna hate him even if u ve to sit on a class for half an hour
He is a hard professor, but he will not be the last. UCs and CSUs have equivalent standards so don't be scared of the level of difficulty. Study everyday, do the homework every day, and attend to as many tutoring sessions as you can even if you excel in math. He certainly taught me that I can't slack off even when the subject can be easy.
he's not so bad..... i got a B and it doesn't transfer to UCs so its not that bad
he's not so bad..... i got a B and it doesn't transfer to UCs so its not that bad
My first iPhone app input.. Sweeet. Anyways, I took Cramm for trig and it was tough. I'll admit I got lazy half way through the semester and did bad. His tests are hard and expects you to know your stuff well. He was in the military so don't expect him to go easy on u. Here is some advice if you are taking him study your but off, seriously.
He is a solid choice if you are interested in continuing into a STEM field, but he is kinda hard. The class is conceptual, which is good, but it requires more thinking. This class taught me that to get an A you must stay on top of your work, even if you already took precal. All-in-all he grades fairly.
If you are looking for challenge for Math 10 this is the teacher to take. Every HW assignment he grades like a test. The test are pretty hard and if you do not study that much you are going to fail. Mr. Cramm is a very good teacher and you will learn a lot from him.Going to your SI leader and going to the Stem Center for help is a must.
loved his trig. class as well as his precal. He challenges you more in the trig. class more than precal he expects you to know what you are doing in precal so he does not really go into much detail in lectures. He is not that difficult he just challenges you to prepare you for next level The test are college level and so you HAVE 2 STUDY to do good
PROFESSOR CRAMM IS THE MOST HELPFUL TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. Lots of homework and POP quizzes, he tests you on very high standards; you still learn a lot from him. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED HIM :)
Professor Cramm is quite strict, but also very fair and interested in the welfare of us students.
God help you. Just took his class for geometry. I failed. Not a slacker. two hours of homework a night. If you miss a problem, marks it incomplete gives you a zero for all your hard work quizzes make up 10 percent of grade. only 3, and 2 proplems each. he wont tell you what day they are either. so not showing up to 1 class can be -5% of totalgrade
impeccable homework is required and graded as tests. Unclear and confused at times by students questions. Exams are as long and thorough as midterms and unreasonable amount of problems with expectations beyond the taught material. Look out for open book exams, uncovered material is fair games.
Professor Cramm definitely doesn't make it easy on the students, but I found that if I did my homework consistently and studied hard, he would reward my efforts. He's very detail oriented and specific about what he wants: simply stick to his instructions and apply yourself to the course and you'll enjoy it.
Prof. Cramm is a very good teacher. He can be harsh, but he is very fair. Uses Web Assign for homework which can be a double edged sword. He goes in depth on the sections, explaining why things work the way they do. Don't let him scare you off during the first 2 weeks of class though, it's just to weed out the students who don't belong in his class
AWESOME PROFESSOR! if your one of those students that failed math 52 like three times, then take prof cramm. WORD OF ADVICE...PAY ATTENTION! if you pay attention and study a little, you will pass. great teacher!
He is a very good teacher. he tries to help at every possible moment. his class is pretty easy if you do the homework but if not then good luck! some questions on quizzes will be right out of the homework. homework is done online not textbook. his final is quite hard though. be prepared for it!
don't take him. it seems like he brings his military teachings to the classroom. He asks dumb questions during the tests as well that are like riddles instead of concrete math
pretty helpful, but his tests are terrible. Not hard terrible (although they are plenty hard) but terrible in that they dont check for understanding. You can know everything there is to know about the subject but fail the test b/c the questions arent clear or not even math questions. Having an A understanding of the course does not mean you pass
His exams seem so hard and if you don't have a clear understanding of the material or what the terms mean, then you are in for failure. He is so approachable and helpful during office hours. I enjoy the way he applies Trig to the real world. I love his group quizzes and I enjoy the course.
Unclear and unfocused lectures. Spends too much time on overly simple concepts, like what f(x) means, then turns around and gives an impossible test with no partial credit full of riddles. I saved myself at the end of his course by skipping lectures and using other resources.
His tests are completely different from what he teaches as well as what the book teaches. Only five students passed this class with a C or higher.
Do not take any courses from him. 1st test only 3 people passed. By the end of the semester only 4 people were passing going into the final. The final was 28 pages long, worth 40% and not a single person finished. I ended up with a C and went into the final with an 88%. Take another professor, not worth the hassle
Don't get me wrong, he is a GREAT teacher. But his tests are HARD and CONFUSING. He sets the test questions up so you get weird answers. This causes you to think you are doing something wrong, but you really aren't. If you have confidence in yourself in the subject, then take his class. If you are not a math person, find a different professor.
I have never seen a teacher care so much about his students. He did everything he possibly could to help his students and help them understand. He was very quick to reply to emails. Always available in his office. He was AMAZING at explaining everything he taught, really good metaphors. His class was always interesting. DEFINATELY RECROMMEND!!
Cramm is a good "instructor" not teacher. He is abrasive at the least and the test he gives are confusing. For example, you study but for some odd reason the questions do not seem to apply to what I studied and/or did in the homework. Its like he has personal agenda to teach math the "right way".Also, there is way too much homework.
Worst teacher on campus. consuming, ridiculously large amount of HW, unnecessary and time consuming, NEVER gives you enough time on exam. dont ever take this guy. He will take your time away, only to mess up your grade.
I took Trig with cramm. On the first day of class he tells everyone that his class will be difficult because he expects you to study hard for the exams. He al he assigns a great deal of homework but he does it to help you learn. Whenever I had a question i would email him and almost always get a quick response. Also, always check your email.
Not very good at explaining the problems and how to do them, which makes completing the loads of homework he gives out very difficult.
Way too much homework. Tests consist of things not focused on or clearly covered in class. He is rude and not very helpful. I would not recommend this professor.
One of the toughest classes i have ever taken. The lectures were easy to follow but the homework and tests were difficult. Final is worth 50 percent of your grade. 5 major exams a couple quizzes and daily homework. Professor is nice. I worked my butt off and received a B. I would recommend this class.
Amazing teacher. You will have to work in this class for your grade, welcome to college. He will help you out as much as you need but there is a lot of homework. Be prepared to earn this. You will be ready for the next class after this.
He is a great teacher but takes no nonsense. Your going to work hard for your grade and do a lo of homework, but the homework will help you do well on the tests. Also pay attention in class, he uses every minute of it to teach or review stuff. he expects you to know everything you learned in the previous class. hes also got a good sense of humor
I can't say enough good. I'm an older student; not a math person. I LEARNED because he's an effective professor who taught intentionally, with the goal of students' success. He's approachable-let him help you get through! Difficult material was made clear, pwrpts are great. Probably the best professor I've ever had. FAIR, kind, dependable, helpful.
Cramm can get a bad rep because of the subject he teaches, but he is a great instructor for it. He explains everything in depth and responds to any emails requesting help pretty quickly. He understands the subject matter thoroughly and it shows, giving you relevant context and explaining the formulas and where they come from; he has a way with math
If I take a class that requires students to learn most of the stuff by themselves before class, and the teacher can only provide assignments and tests, Why not just take an online class instead. To conclude, not helpful.
This professor does not explain much at all! I usually do not have trouble with math classes, but this teacher has made math difficult. Quizzes are assigned before he "teaches" the material. Tests are extremely hard despite him only going over a few examples. I would rather teach myself all of calculus or take an online course than take his class.
Good part: he always reply ur email fast. Bad part:We had a quiz on the first day of the class and if u enrolled late (like me) u will not get any info until u step into the classroom. He said he give a chance of getting 100%on hw but yea it only worth 5% of ur entire grade. He is so hilarious.
Dr. Cramm is a great professor; however, if you do not apply yourself you are destined for failure. I failed this course with another professor and i feel it was because or terrible communication skills. Dr. Cramm makes everything clear and never fails to provide reasoning for all his instruction. I plan on taking him for mat35 hopefully u will too
If you want to take m10 be sure skip this one. After whole semester I got a B and class average is 60.15% make your choice.
Fall 14', Mat-35, Dr Cramm has great communication skills, be sure to participate and ask questions. He might give you a lot of work but there is always a reason why. If you aren't afraid of hard work and you actually want to learn I highly recommend taking his class.
Definitely the hardest B I've ever worked for (our class average was 68%.) Cramm is very intelligent and his passion for math shows. Tests are crazy hard and every little mistake counts, but he does teach well and will push you to actually learn. He also makes you buy Webassign which has an online book so no need to purchase a textbook.
I did not end the class very strong, but my experience was pleasant. Professor Cramm has a unique way of teaching and truly cares for the success of his students.
Let me start off by saying Dr. Cramm is one of the best math teachers I've had at RCC. I've taken two others that were disorganized, and generally didn't care whether you passed or failed. Dr. Cramm is none of these things. He is clear, passionate, and interested in your personal success. He will make you a better student. Be prepared to work tho.
Very fair to those willing to work. I have taken multiple classes with him and plan on continuing. He is very willing to sit and help during office hours. During class he comes up with multiple methods to teach, allowing for different styles.
Cramm is a nice person but sometimes he doesn't exactly explain concepts clear enough and cannot find additional ways to explain them. He does give you and opportunity to reduce the amount of questions on a given test by two if you follow a few easy steps and also gives a reduced final for those that did well on the very last test.
Many students give Cramm a bad review because he makes you work for your grade. He cares about the students and wants them to understand and learn the material. He is big on math terms, know them pass the class. He replies instantly to emails and posts video of the exams showing how to do each problem. Really great teacher, you just have to work.
Dr Cramm only gets a bad rap only because he makes you work for your grade. Super tough class, grader and high expectations, but he's fair and very helpful. If you are a math major, take him. He will admit when he is wrong and is open to constructive criticism. He is religious to his office hours and the syllabus. Don't take him if not serious.
3 unit geometry class, he treats it as a 4 unit. Cram covers two sections a day. Class is only 1 hr & 25min, so he usually runs through the 2nd section quickly. Very few examples, mostly reviews definitions. If you procrastinate, THIS IS NOT THE CLASS FOR YOU. However, I have never understood math more clearly & he is a nice guy just so tough!
Professor Cramm doesn't like to finish problems as he is teaching them. He believes it's a waste of his time to finish them. He grades really heavy on the test and what he teaches you is not even on the test. He makes up his own concepts that contradict other concepts he makes up which confuses the students. He makes a lot of mistakes when teaching
Do not take , expects a Harvard level test taker, but is a third rate teacher... Fourth rate teacher! Just terrible, unless your looking for someone to irritate you with amature explanation and grand expectation , there is no point in this teacher's existence.
For the safety of your GPA, do not take this professor! It is the fact that his tests and quizzes are insane, and every little mistake counts. He takes away too many points for small mistakes, regardless if you know what you did wrong or not. Moreover, he doesn't finish the problems he started, and he will irritate you. Do not take Cramm.
Cramm is by far the worst professor I've ever had and the only professor I have ever had that was so terrible I decided that a "W" was better than spending another minute in his class. Horrible at going over concepts and organizes his homework/notes to aid him in grading, not aid the student in learning. Hardly teaches how to actual solve problems.
The worst experience I've ever had in math. He assigns way too much homework online, so you will be in front of a computer for about 30 hours a week. His exams are a lot more difficult then his examples and it seems like most of the class was struggling. If you are NOT self motivated he will push you; however, I would never attend his class again.
I didn't understand his method. He was very confusing at times. His teachings in class were not the same on the homeworks which made it even more confusing. Nice Guy but not very clear. Not the best experience.
I passed my calc 1A N 1B with an A and a B in his pre cal. be wise when u are choosing the classes guys.
It's definitely a really hard class, but I've learned more about math with him than in any math class I've ever taken. And although it's a lot of work, it's worth it because he really forces you to use your brain more. Not just for the sake of furthering your knowledge of mathematics, but for everything you do in life.
I loved professor Cramm. My experience in his class was definitely a good one. He is very clear when he explains thing. All the HW is online and easy to understand, multiple attempts. He explains everything very well. He gives alot of practice exams so that you are prepared for exams. I'm really bummed that he does not teach Math 37 or Stats
if you are struggling with math DO NOT TAKE HIM. If you need to take a math class for summer or winter DO NOT TAKE HIM. I have always struggled with math and he did not make it any better. He gives no study guide and LOTS of unncessary homework.
He's a very nice person but moves way too fast and gets frustrated when you ask for him to explain more! If you struggle with math like me, I advise you to not take him! It was NOT one of those situations where even though you have an A in the class (due to doing the homework and quizzes which were online) and bombed the final, you pass.
Cramm has to be the BEST math professor I've ever take . If you like math and like challenging yourself, this is the class for you. If you struggle with math or don't like math, I don't recommend you taking it with him. He is funny, caring and focuses on doing more than just the "basic" math. His test are hard, but he prepares you for the best!
He was a really good professor! Very thorough and easy to talk to. I have struggled with math for a long time and ended up taking this class during a winter semester.... BAD IDEA on my end. I would 100% take this class again during a fall/spring semester. The only thing I didn't like was his grading.
He doesnt care about his students nor his job. He wasnt interested in answering questions. If youre looking for help I suggest going somewhere else because hes not good at teaching/explaining either. He has unspoken rules youre expected to follow and hes a very tough grader. Things are his way or youll fail and hes not understanding
This professor was horrible he doesnt give you a vlear understanding on how to do the assignments and if you ask him for help he will say you all should have learned this which isnt fair for the people who havent and all of the test are horrible and could also make your grade drop pretty quick
One of the best professors Ive had at RCC! I was alittle nervous to take his class at first but dont regret it one bit. Hes very organized, grades tests really fast, and really knows his math. Although,be prepared to challenge yourself! Does give out a lot of homework, as long as you go to class and stay on top of things you should be fine.
I'm a 3.0 student and although math is not my favorite subject I have managed to get A's and B's in it by working hard and really trying. If you're planning on take this class thinking it'll be easy, then you're very much mistaken. It is the most difficult class I have ever taken in my years of going to community college. Not a very helpful prof.
If you struggle with math and need someone who will help you or recognize the effort you're putting in even if you are not grasping the subject matter quickly DO NOT take his class. He is not very helpful. For the final exam so many people failed he literally sent out an email stating if you email him about your grade he would not respond.
There's a large work load but math classes in general have a large work load so don't let that discourage you. Calibrate to his style of teaching, study at home, and you'll come out with a great understanding of the subject. He lets you retake any exam to replace grade and his test all together make a great reference for final exam. Good Luck!
The final was almost impossible to pass, it literally determined whether one passes or fails. The professor himself couldnt have possibly finished the final with a passing grade within the allotted time... out of 35 students, about 25 dropped his class... out of the 10 who did in fact stay, about 3-4 of those students passed his class (barley).
When asking for help with this professor he would say, "Look on the board, you should know this by now." If the professor picks on any student to answer a problem on the board he would get upset if you got the wrong answer. he would say, "REALLY BECAUSE THATS NOT THE RIGHT ANSWER." Don't take him choose wisely
Dont take his class he is very concern
No Comment. don't take him
No Comment on this professor. Just don't take him. PLEASE choose wisely
Prof Cramm was one of the worst I have ever had. His program that he used for homework and everyone decided to not let me complete any of the assignments, and it was not my fault. He left my grades at Fs and did not give me any chance to make it up or give me any leeway. I would never take his class again!!!
Fantastic professor that keeps you engaged throughout class. Very upbeat and cares that everyone KNOWS the content. There is a lot of homework and you cannot miss lectures. Many times the lecture explains 1000x better than the textbook and explains content that won't be in the book.
Harsh and inconsistent grader. Constantly and annoyingly defending his teaching style which I and many others found to be ineffective. I was tutoring my friend who had the same class with another professor. She got an A and I got a C. Final is half your grade so not many opportunities to succeed. Cannot recommend. Avoid if possible.
Hes awful always messes up when teaching.
Homework, and adamant about attendance? Yes. But he is also very caring towards his students. He gets excited about what hes teaching. If you struggle with math, go to office hours, communicate with him. If you show youre willing, hell do everything he can to make sure you feel confident, understand, and pass. Hes also funny once he opens up.
More than half of the class dropped. His hw does not help with the material you are learning in class. His way of teaching is very hard for many people to understand. His class is super test heavy. Does not help u review for tests or anything. I am usually a good math student but his math class was so hard to learn. Definitely do not recommend
I would recommend not taking his class he has terrible office hours and makes you teach yourself essentially. even when he does have his office open he only takes emails and half the time he doesn't respond. DO NOT take any of his classes horrible teacher 1/5
Pretty good teacher. I took him online during the summer and I liked is teaching style. We would meet up for only two hours twice a week. He gave us a bunch of tools to study that were not mandatory but useful. Had I used them or atleast tried to use them more I'm sure I could have done better. The actual lectures were okay too.
Professor Cramm gave so many resources for help and did anything he could to make sure we passed. There is a lot of homework but if you're taking a MATH class what else do you expect. He really is a sweet teacher and the other comments mentioned here do not give him enough credit. Great professor and cares for his students.
Professor Cramm's classes are very difficult and sometimes unorganized, but he explains things well and frequently hosts office hours. Linear Algebra with Cramm was by far the hardest class I've taken at RCC, but our class learned a lot. If you aren't able to attend lecture, you should submit notes of recorded lecture for attendance credit.
You have to be ready to put in a lot of work. I took it online and we never went to lectures, but he had zoom office hours. He is a tough grader so you need to be able to give exactly what he is looking for on tests if you don't write units, congrats you got a D on the exam. BUT He is very flexible with deadlines and helps however he can (HARD THO)
Dont register for his class if you struggle with math. Had to drop his class in the middle of the semester because of how hard this class is. Takes forever just to get through one example & sometimes goes off topic.
Prof. Cramm is pretty understanding if you make silly errors on exams, but man is his teaching style sort of intimidating. He encourages students to ask questions and to participate during lectures, but he comes off as sort of judgemental and harsh when correcting students. He means well, but his style is not for everyone.
Let me make your life easier: DON'T TAKE HIM. I could write an entire essay on why but I am too emotionally/mentally drained and only have 350 characters to warn other students needing to take Calculus. I was a Straight A student until I took this class. He failed me and now I can't transfer to UCR. Look into other professors with better ratings.
The final was worth 45% of our final grade (which was hard), all midterms are worth 30%, and the LOADS of homework and assignments are little to nothing. I wish I took this class when a better professor was available. I tried giving him a chance but that went out the window with how HARD he grades. If you don't do it his way, you failed, congrats.
Don't understand why this class is a requirement. Unfortunately, he's also the only professor that teaches it. Vague open test questions. Grading criteria is very unclear and confusing, as he is very nit-picky about answers and will mark you wrong over any little thing. Very tough grader, would avoid if I could.
