He is an excellent professor. He tries to make the material as interesting as possible. You do have to read a lot but that should be expected. I would definately take him again.

This professor is good, but he does give alot of work. He gives four essays which are very difficult because he is strict on how he grades and is not very lenient. Take plenty of notes when he is lecturing because all that stuff is either on the Final Exam or quizzes or homework assignments. Overall, you will need to work hard to get a good grade.

Great professor if you are a good student. Demands endless hours of homework, note taking, essay writing, and research. If you are a dedicated college student with a strong desire to learn he is highly recommended. If you are taking college as a free pass and dont believe in homework i would recommend finding a professor more accomadating.

You will learn a great deal from him especially on proper essay writing and do****entation. If you want an easy A get another professor. Lots of work but this is college. Very laid back guy and understanding. Show him respect and do the work and he will help you out as much as he can.

Great teacher and knows his stuff. You do have to do a lot of witting and research. He does not give an easy pass. You have to work towards it. I took him 3 years ago and you didn't have to take the final if you got an A in the class. I do not know if he still does this or not. This made me try harder. I loved having no test.

I took him for an online class and it was pretty easy. He had weekly reading assignments that at some times seemed like a lot of reading but his short answer questions were short and simple thinking questions. Whenever I need to talk with him he was always available in his office and replied quickly to e-mails. I would definitely take him again!

Ok this teacher is ok, but man he is really really picky on the essays. He doesn't clarify much but when he grades it's tough to get an A. You should pick another teacher if you want an easy A. Weekly assignments isn't too bad but some of it is confusing!!!!

Professor Poff is very good at what he does. Always pay attention and please read the assignments carefully because pop quizzes are assigned.

I took Poff for 1301. It was easy. My essays were easy. You will need a book. He assigns chapters to read as homework, I dont like reading. He always has a smile. I would take him again.

I just took him for an online class. This is not an easy A. You will have to read every story, write essays, term paper, final, tests, and web review. It's alot of work. Probably easier if you went to class. He gives lots of feedback and answers any questions. One of the few teachers who teaches with an online class. Be prepared to do lots of work.

You have to read the assignments because he quizes you over them without telling you. There was about 5 essays in the semester. I passed with a B. It was ok.

I took Poff my FIRST semester of college & I passed! It can be easy when you do your essays. We used the book almost everyday. We had homework. Poff is always in a cheesy mood trying to be funny, but he's a good teacher. I would take his class again.

Excellent Professor! He gives plenty of feedback, you will learn much. I've taken him in the past for 1301, 1302 and just took him for an online course. Explains expectations and doesnt give grades,you will earn them. Highly recommend him for the seriuos student ready to learn.

He has been one of very few online professors that are so well organized with their online class. I, truly, enjoyed the neatness, well thought out modules and the ability to move through the course at our own speed. He gives opportunities to earn extra points if you just be sure and read his module notes.

There is a lot of work in this class. You will have to work hard but he is a great professor. I took him online and he was prompt in answering any question I had. Take one of his classes, you won't regret it!!

Mr. Poff is the best Literature prof. you can ever have. I took him online and was pleased with how organized he was. Assigns weekly readings and modules but it's not hard if you're dedicated. He's funny and smart and really knows his stuff. Wrote four essays in his class and got A's in all of them.

He is awesome and Soo funny, However if you are looking for an easy A this is not the professor of choice.He makes you study and actually love to study his materiel. I took Amer Literature in Summer I on line. Not an easy A. So if you do not like to read and write, then write some more in a short time frame. This class is not for you. Mr. Poff is very organized, easy quizzes, helpful and gives feedback. Do not take this class on-line if you are not a strong writer! Did I say there is a lot of writing!!

I didn't realize that this cureas so heavily based on literature and not esay writting as ENG 1301. At first the course seemed overwhelming but he gives you resonable due dates and he is extremely helpful and understanding. I never actually went to a class or spoke to him in person but he makes any interaction humaitic. Lots of reading!

He's very good at responding to emails, always giving feed-back, and gives great detailed instructions and notes. Makes you work for your grade, but critical thinking and deep reading gets you an A

Everything spelled out very well. There is a LOT of work to do but he breaks it down into manageable assignments. He gives you everything you will need to succeed if you read it. His materials and insights are thorough and organized. Comments on assignments are helpful for improvement. It is not an easy A, but it is an attainable A. Learned much.

Great Professor. EASY A if you put in the effort. Dedicate one day a week for this class and you will no doubt get an A. EXCELLENT at responding back quickly and grading work

Professor Kenneth Poff is the best online professor that I have had to date. His class is very organized, you can find everything in the class. His grading is fair. He provides excellent in-depth feedback on module questions and essays. He responds to questions in a timely manner. Finally, He is willing to work with you if you need help.

Online course. Super easy, gave clear expectations of the chapters. You know when papers (two of them) were do. Plenty of time to get them done. Gives extra credit for staying on track. Random extra credit throughout the semester for random things. Definitely would take again. Highly recommend for busy student.

Professor Poff is one of the good professor at St Philips. He will work with you to ensure you get a good grade. He is always available. I enjoyed his selection for reading. It was a varied and vast selection covering many great authors and subjects. I strongly suggest taking this course online.

I took his online class for composition II, he was very good, by far the best when it came to online courses. Great feedback, plenty of incentive to read his notesmaterials, offers extra credit, his grading was very clear, he lays out exactly what he expects, and he is always responsive to emails and questions and available for clarification.

Mr. Poff does an AMAZING job at teaching online. Everything is clear and organized. He gives tons of extra credit and has really good feedback. The examples he uses in his comments are pretty funny too. I would definitely recommend him for anyone.

I love him! I took his class online and there's a lot of reading and hws to do but I love English so it was not hard for me to keep up. It was easy for me because I enjoyed doing the work. The quizzes are easy. It's simple questions from the readings. He assigned 3 essays and gives a whole month to complete them. A++ teacher.

I absolutely loved this professor! He was always clear on every assignment and always gave reminders of the assignment due dates! He is very helpful and is always there for you. He also makes the class fun and gives extra points for keeping on pace with the modules! I definitely recommend this professor.

I loved this class the only thing i struggled with was his grading i can't say he's a tough grader but you'll have to work for a good grade. He gives a lot of extra credit up to 30 points which is amazing and always read his notes and feedback on assignments there's hidden extra credit but Overall he was great and i actually learned a lot.

Take his online, he is very specific & clear on what to do. I took his in person course but basically wasted my time, I had to do everything online: quizzes, test, etc. so just take the online or you'll hear him repeat what you had to read. He's a good teacher & easy going, loves what he does.

I took Mr. Poff online for ENG1302 and his modules are self pace, but if you do them early enough he gives you extra credit points towards your final. He is very helpful and response quickly to emails. Easy class as long as you do the work. Book required and gives get feedback. I would recommend him for other students. EASY!!!

Professor Poff is a very respectful, kind and humorous teacher. This was my first time taking a college course and he made it all worthwhile. Though Professor Poff's class is challenging, he is very encouraging and I would, without a doubt, recommend Professor Poff as a teacher. The world needs more Professor Poff's.

Professor Poff is very communicative. He responds to your emails extremely quickly and would take his time to answer your questions thoroughly. I strongly suggest taking his class, specifically for dual credit students. His English 1301 course is a great introduction to college.

He gives you til midterms to complete half of the class assignments. Then finals for the other half. Assignments include one quiz, one paragraph And reading a something specific per module. Writing assignments have multiple options to write about every week. Also three essays and ton of extra credit for turning things in early.

Professor Poff was a great teacher in my opinion. Yeah, you have to read a lot since it's a summer class thats condensed in 5 weeks, but it's manageable. You have modules with readings and quizzes but the quizzes can be taken with notes on you so those are easy A's if you read the content. One major paper and a final.

Prof Poff is excellent. I took his class online over the summer so it did require a lot of reading in a short time, as to be expected. He allows essays to be turned in late for a minimal penalty and will message you to be sure you turn in your work. His feedback is excellent and truly helped me. I got an 88 in the class and he bumped me to an A

Prof Poff is the greatest teacher to walk the face of the planet! Very funny lessons including humorous YouTube Videos. Not only are these classes enjoyable, but very informative as well. I would definitely recommend that as long as there are spots left, you should register for his class right now!

Professor Poff is fabulous! Tests are straightforward, and if you did the reading, getting a good grade isn't hard. He uses interesting materials and is very easy to reach on weekdays through email (I take the course online). I can't wait to take another semester with him!

He gives the grade that you deserve. You do have to read the stories and take the quizzes, but they are all fairly short and easy. It looks like a lot when you first start the class but a lot of material you don't have to read. He will tell you exactly what stories to focus on for which tests. Extremely easy if you put in a little bit of effort!

The quizzes are all easy and even throws in 1-2 freebies in there which he gives the answer for subliminally. Class is very easy but you do read ALOT, so make time to read. He gives you plenty of time to do your assignments and is always in communication with you. just do your work and pass with an A.

Professor Poff is a great professor for students who might not possess the best writing skills. There are thirteen short 250 word essays and one 1000-1200 word essay. He talks about this essay from day one so if you follow along and prepare your essay each week based on his tips and requirements the rest is really easy.

Prof. Poff was an amazing teacher! I struggled at the beginning of the semester, but after speaking with him about my issues, he was very understanding and allowed me to submit an essay that was late. He's very open and gives great feedback on the submitted assignments. I will definitely take him again for other English courses.

Prof. Poff runs a great course and is also funny. He provides lots of resources and useful feedback. The assignments are spread out well and there is only one required discussion! The only knock is that things are SO self-paced. Although he was GREAT about sending reminders, I didn't manage my time well and forgot what was due.

This is not your average class. Prof. Poff has the best organized online class I have ever taken. There is lots of reading but he makes it fun and breaks it up with some humor. Took him as my first dual credit teacher and I loved his class! Will answer any questions and responds quickly, gives great feedback, he's funny and the work isn't hard. As long as you follow deadlines and pay attention to the readings, the exams are easy. I loved his class and would definitely take him again. He's been my favorite teacher so far

I take this class as a dual credit student in high school. He is very helpful and gives you everything you need to pass. All you have to do is show you are trying and for the most part he will be helpful when you need it. He gives many opportunities to get extra credit points. But it is a lot of reading be ready to read!

I took his class for dual credit. Although it might have been a lot of reading, I can say that he wants you to succeed. I hate reading, but all the stories he selected to read were all very intriguing. If you have questions feel free to ask him anything and a majority of the time, at least from my experiences, he will respond within the hour.

I just finished taking this course as a dual credit student and I must say, Professor Poff sure knows what he's doing! His feedback on essays and other writing assignments is very helpful!
