pompous
Glass is easier but you wont learn a thing
I use what I learned in Sousa's class EVERY DAY. He's hard but well worth it.
You WILL use everything he teaches you. He is challenging, but well worth it.
Microbased Software. His superb way of teaching comes at a cost: you work your butt off. Always remember to set the focus!
He is the hardest teacher I have taken at this school and a **** in the classroom, but not outside.. But I would take him again. He is probably the best teacher at this school.
Dr. Sousa's class was the hardest I ever had at Bryant. It was the first class that required me to open the text. Very usefull information, but difficult class. IF youre not serious about CIS, skip it...If you are then take him and you wont regret it
This guy is a pompous maniac that uses his authoritative position to make himself feel important. His nature can be summed up in one word: condescending. Claims to know a lot about the real world yet seems to have never left Bryant.
Ken Sousa is the most self-righteous, disrespectful, coward I have ever encountered in my lifetime. He is an angry man who often taunts students about their inferior command of the subject matter. Do not be fooled, this man is a head-case!
Awesome, Hard but great
You need to show up prepared for class. If not, he is tough on you. I can't believe the beating he is taking from my classmates. Maybe if they studied or put effort into class, they would feel different. Prof Sousa is not the type of Professor you can
A little condescending but otherwise good. Makes us work very hard.

Sousa is a difficult professor. He will challange you. If you are ready to be challanged then take his class!!! His projects are unclear but his tests are OK if you study. I recomend him, but go in knowing that you must study very hard.

Never had him for class, but from what I hear he can be a pain in the rear. Regardless he's a good guy who definitely knows his stuff and if you take the time to get to know him you'll soon realize he's not evil. Will go well out of his way to help.
Better to have him then some others, you really learn things that help in later classes.
Great Guy Great Teacher. Pushes you to the limit, and you learn sooo much. A definate for all CIS majors/minors!!!
WORST TEACHER! Very condescending, and very unhelpful. Moves a little too fast to understand. Homework is very unclear and time consuming. Miserable man.
Not helpful at all and very sarcastic. He's better than you... so watch out!!
do not take
sucks
expects students to know material before teaching it; flips out when they can't figure out how to apply it. class environment driven by negative reinforcement - students only learn material to avoid being yelled at; my class's average somewhere in 60's
He has likes the classroom environment to be very stressful place for students to be in. But I am learning the material better than some of the other students in other CIS classes. So if you take him be ready to do a lot of work.
He can be difficult in class, as far as getting pissed if people don't do the work; will make you do a presentation if you answer "I don't know?" to a question; outside of the classroom he is nice; he seems to favor guys over girls...
Excellent teacher. Demands the most of his students. He will weed out the non-dedicated students the first week. He demands that the work is done and you have a grasp of the concepts before walking into class. Most I've ever learned in a class.
he sucks.
Expects all his students to undetstand the material, and works very hard to make sure they do. ALWAYS available and very approachable. Alot of work, but its worth it. A great guy!! A little hint, go for extra help! If you do the work you are rewarded
Youll see two types of opinions on him: "he sucks" and "hes great". He pushes ya hard, you HAVE to do all the work for this class to keep up. Hes nice guy and always there to help a lot outside of class, youll learn a ton, highly recom
Hardest teacher at Bryant, Run away! Fast! If you want to bust your ass for a C(or lower)or if you are really really lucky a B, then by all means, take him. He is so disrespectful and condescending to students that you feel like crying after every class.
Prepare to work like u have never worked before!
Awesome professor. highly recommend
Very difficult, but also very inspiring. He tells you exacly what is expected of you; the rest is up to you. Probably one of the best classes and instructors I have had at Bryant.
Wants to show off rather than teach. Wants to make mole hills into mountains. I was not impressed. Very poor communication skills. If you take a course from this professor you will suffer, your GPA will suffer!
Nice guy, hard course but does a good job explaining topics. Willing to help if you ask. You have to work to get a good grade.
Great professor, good person, and a smartass... but difficult course..
Awesome teacher! If you are gonna take him, take him for both 341 and 342, or you will be lost. Best teacher I've taken at bryant; yes theres a lot of work, but if you came to college wanting to get an education, Sousa will give you one!:)
he is an awesome teacher. you learn access inside and out but you need to do the work.. puts on a big tough guy act but he's really a nice guy. do the work and read for class and you will learn more than you have in any other class at bryant.

Prof. Sousa is the one to take if you want to learn! He is a tough teacher, but will teach you quality material and is very willing to help you understand it. As long as you read before class and do the work, it is worth your while.
be prepared to work. GPA may suffer, but in the long run what you learn in his class will benefit you in the work place (i graduated) and in other classes. highly recommended. got to have a tough skin though...
Graduated in 2000. Ken was probably the BEST professor I had at Bryant. He was very realistic and spoke in real world terms, which I didn't realize while in school but can appreciate now. He's fair and understanding and willing to help if you ask!
Pompous jerk who made me quit CIS as a major
Very ignorant. Had his few favorite pets, which he focused more attention on than the class itself. Lacks people skills and has difficulty understanding grown ups. Glad that nightmare is over.
One of those teachers that assign more hw than all my other classes combined. Droped my major due to him. The Only students that like him are those who are teachers pets and love hw. If you like to go out on thursday night dont plan on it cuz the only place u'll be is koffler or the lib doing HW-BAD
Sousa is the man. He is probably the hardest CIS professor in the school, but if you take his class you're not going to have as much trouble if you take Systems. I am now an Access guru because of Sousa and I wish I took him for CIS210... awesome guy... just filters out the people who slack off.
Nice guy but prepared to do TONS of work for this class. Very willing to help, gives lots of outside work to be done.
Sousa gives tons of work and challenges students. Coming out of his class you'll know what you are doing and its drilled into your head. Its alot of work but if you put in the time and effort you'll get a good grade. Be prepared for class! Participate often and it def. pays off in the end.
This guy knows his stuff. Great at combining business with computer concepts. However, accepts no excuses for late work, assigns more work the most classes combined and will expect you to know everything you read.If you have a tough work load, dont take him. If you dont take him, you will learn alot.
one word...HARD. he is a great teacher, and wants you to work hard so you learn the material, but at times his workload can become a little TOO much when combined with four other classes. if you want to learn take him, but your gpa will suffer. its a tough decision.
Just kill yourself now!!!! Very very demanding, not a walk in the park, if you are not a computer geek just drop it now!!!!

complete jerk
I had him a few times already as a professor. GREAT professor! He is probably the most challenging and most difficult CIS professor at Bryant, but in my opinion one of the best! He is very very demanding of his students, but you will learn so much in his class. He is a great guy, and will help.
One word, HARD but not impossible, though. In 341 you'll hate your life because he is so demanding and the material is DRY. In 342 the class gets more interesting and Sousa will appear less intimidating. A BIG GROUP PROJECT 35%! He tries to scare his students using his rhetoric. Outside the classroom he is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.
This guy is just really hard to deal with. What people say about him being a very nice guy is true, but his workload is literally the equivalent of 4 other classes combined; it becomes very overwhelming at times. He loves the sensation of feeling he has control over everyone in the class. Again, nice guy...but I just couldn't recommend him.
Great teacher! A little intimidating at first, but definately rewarding if you stick it out. I learned more in his class than I have *all* of my other CIS classes combined. Workload was a bit heavy, but there is reason to his rhyme. I would take him for all my classes if I could..
this guy is a ....head. he thinks he is real tough. if u have the chance drop his class. i hate him!
This prof is extremely hard, you have to be ready to work your butt off. He can be helpful if you go and see him but basically he makes the class really difficult and expects a lot of work from his students. I would suggest not taking him.
Yes, He's a good guy. However, his workload is the equivalent of all your other classes combined, and then some. Lots of work. Big group project where many weekends were spent in a corner working on this one case project. You would have to be an absolute genius to get an A in this class.
The way he designed this class works great for what we are doing in it. I have learned more and been more engaged in this class than I have been in almost any other class at Bryant. He is hard because he knows that we can do the work and he wants us to get the most out of our education as we can, and not be cheated out of an expensive education.
To all those naysayers who say Sousa is a jerk... yes, he sort of is. But really, he does care about his students and he will help you if you fall behind. He is even a pretty funny guy and his class is always entertaining. However, he will tear you apart if he sees you are just being lazy... Sousa is cool.

Sousa is the NICEST guy out of class and the MEANEST guy in class. He is very smart but he is just a bad teacher and he is not always respectful to his students. I would recommend not taking him.
Sousa knows business. You may hear that he's a hard teacher, and by no means is he easy, but you'll learn a lot. I would recommend taking him. Don't be a jerk to him and he won't be a jerk to you
very hard and demanding class. sousa can come off as a hardass but he does care about his students. he wants everyone to do well but at the same time challenges you and pushes you to your limit. in class he can come off as a jerk but outside of class he's a great guy. i learned more in this class than any others. highly recomend him.
This man is great!!! Guaranteed A!!!!! fo' shizzle
SOUSA is the man! He is *by far* the best CIS professor Bryant employs. He really knows his stuff, explains it eloquently, and is passionate about teaching. If you ever have questions, he is more than helpful. Take ANY of his classes, and you won't be disappointed.

This guy is intense. Hes demanding in class and will call on any student and expect a quick answer. Say 'i dont know' and he'll rip you apart infront of everybody. Sound like fun? ya right. His 8am class is the only early class that i did not fall asleep in because i was too anxious that i would be called on. STAY AWAY if you want an easy C, lol
This guy is the man. True he doesn't have the most respect for students, but he gives you your money's worth. If you are at Bryant for a real education and valuable knowledge, take him. If you want an easy A stay away.
Extremely intimidating and terrified the crap out of me. He wont let you say "i dont know" 2 times in one class period, and if you do then you have to do a 10 min presentation the next class..."idk" counts as a shoulder shrug and looking up at the ceiling as well. stay away if you can
This guy is a great teacher if you're lookin to learn in class. You deffinitely can't slack off, but it makes it a lot more worth it because you learn the subject a lot better the way he teaches. Make sure you know your stuff before showing up to the next class because he will ask you questions. Deffinitely take him if you're lookin to learn alot.

Sousa knows his stuff and will force you to know it too. He is very intimidating in class, but is a nice guy outside of class. I took him for BUS101 and didnt do well, but learned a lot. If your looking for a walk in the park, look elsewhere. Sousa's teaching style will force you to learn the subject material, but definitely worth it.
Sousa may be one of the most challenging professors at Bryant, but also one of the best. He wants to see his students do well and sometimes that means he has to be a hard ass. If you follow all the directions and see him if you ever need help, you will do fine. Show that you are trying and he will appreciate it.
By far one of the best teachers that I've had to date. If you do the work you'll do fine. He cares for his students...during finals stayed an extra 3 hours to help study. One of the best teachers at the school.
One of the hardest teachers I've ever had. I ask for help when I'm confused and he sends me back an e-mail that doesn't answer my question.
THIS MAN IS HARD. BUT DONT LET THAT BE THE ONLY WAY YOU JUDGE THE TEACHERS YOU TAKE. YOU NEED TO WORK YOU BUTT OF IN HIS CLASS. THE CLASS CONSISTS OF 8 QUIZES 2 EXAMS AND ONE VERY VERY LARGE PROJECT WERE YOU AND A TEAM OF EATHER 4 OR 5 STUDENTS CREATE A BUSINESS PLAN. I LEARNED THE MOST FROM THIS CLASS BUT HAD TO WORK MUCH HARDER THEN ANY OTHER.
HE'S RIDICULOUS!!! pretty much the hardest class you'll take. He acts like you have no other classes to take but his, and is very intimidating, and obviously hates giving out good grades.
wicked hard, doesnt teach, and thinks he knows everything there is to know about business... will not accept that he isnt the best in the world...If I were you, take anyone else but him... seariously, just switch out, you'll be happy you did... o lastly, the man dedicates his life to this class, and he expects you to do the same, and it just sucks!
Very demanding class and professor. He is willing to help though and obviously cares about his students. He expects for you to have no life except BUS101. You will learn and it might hurt but in the end its been very helpful. Take it if you want to learn a lot but you will be extremely busy.
HORRIBLE!! never take bus101 with this man. he thinks he knows everything so he is always right, no matter what you say. he's a jerk to students even when you go see him in office hours. doesn't ever tell you how you will be graded on assignments..but you are supposed to know according to him. get out asap!
Hard teacher. If you are looking for an easy A then not for you. He teaches you a lot though. You are going to get the most out of his class. Is really helpful outside of class too.
You will always be wrong, no matter how correct you are...the requirements and his ideas change on the fly to ensure that. He is very condescending both in and out of class. You must know everything before beginning the course and be able to look at things in extreme detail from 30,000 feet up. No grading details are released with assignments.
If you enjoy lighting yourself on fire, you will enjoy this class. This is a class for those who enjoy gaining no knowledge, while being told that they are wrong and receiving a low grade for hard efforts. If you want to make life hard, i highly recommend Sousa. If you want to learn something or pass, take someone else.
Ken Sousa is the worst teacher i have had at bryant. i have never worked so hard for a D in my life. he assigns rediculous amounts of work and accepts no lates or excuses. He doesnt care about students progess or understanding at all. i have never had a teacher who was so disrespectful to students. he trys to be funny but fails. if you get him drop
Professor Sousa is by far the best professor at Bryant University. He will treat you as an adult, but only if you do the same for yourself. His grading is clear and fair, and he is always willing to lend students a hand when asked. If you leave Bryant without taking Sousa, you are less of a graduate.
Yes, Sousa's class in challenging. It's also one of the most fulfilling. If you actually talk to him outside of class you'll learn he's incredibly dedicated to his students.
Tough Tough Tough class, very demanding, and at times, seems unreasonable. I've never worked so hard, but I learned what hard work is through this class. You may use what you learn from the book, but you mainly learn how to tackle and solve a problem. It helps that he has a sweet ass though.
I came in knowing that the bus101 class would be hard but sousa made it a whole lot harder. He will embarass you by callin on you in class. My group and I wrote a 100 page business plan with hours of work put into it. To which he gave us a C, my lowest grade yet in college. He gave another group a D. Informative guy but avoid if possible.
If there is one teacher you should know at this school it is sousa. Yes his class is by far the hardest you might have at bryant, but you learn how to be successful even though some things don't apply to what you want to do. He treats you as an adult and comes off a bit disrespectful but he treats you how a boss does. Be prepared to work hard
Treats you as an adult? You people have some serious problems. A teacher has never been so disrespectful or tried to make an example of his students the way he does. If he was my boss I would have walked into his office and quit after week 1. He is so unprofessional it is ridiculous. I cannot truly express how I feel on this filtered site.
the rudest professor I have ever taken at Bryant, he literally laughs at his students and is generally deeming. when I asked a question to a different professor in front of him he laughed. His lack of professionalism is shocking and I sincerely hope the school will not keep him. He was not helpful during office hours, in class or in general.
I was a bit anxious about the class before I started. I knew he was challenging and heard alot of things. After a difficult start, I really enjoyed the class. I never learned so much in my time here! I went to his office twice and felt better each time I left. Id take him again.
One minute he's your friend and he's insulting you. Overall, the class was interesting and very discussion-based. When it came to assignments and exams, his language was incomprehensible. He wants students to assume what he means through his vague wording. If you have to take his class, INCLUDE EXAMPLES even if it doesn't ask you to.
awful, definitely do not take if just trying to fulfill the CIS requirement.. he might be helpful if you're actually interested in the subject but WAYYY too much work for a basic CIS class.. he's rude and obnoxious too.. you'll be hearing about how easy the subject is from friends while you're doing more work than any other class in CIS
If you have Sousa as your professor either switch to another professor or drop the class if can't find another class. Taking CIS or any course with him is literally one of the worst mistakes you can make at your career at Bryant. He is unreasonable and incredibly disrespectful to students, so do yourself a huge favor and don't take him.
If you want a professor that will be like your boss someday, Prof. Sousa will prepare you well. If you want an easy A or want to be babied, go somewhere else. If you want to learn something and are not afraid to work for it, he is your man.
One of the best professors at Bryant. He demands that you do your work but genuinely cares about his students and wants you to succeed. His homeworks will be the most frustrating thing you will ever do.
The best professor at Bryant. Besides what people say, Sousa is honestly such a nice and genuine person. He wants to make sure his students do well and that they are prepared for the real world. I would take his classes every semester if I could. Not easy to get and A, but you can definitely do it if you put in the hard work. SOUSA IS THE MAN!!
Very difficult. Speaks about unnecessary stuff in class and talks nothing on excel. So basically have fun teaching yourself CIS. Also he tends to be very rude.
This class was one of the most challenging and rewarding I have ever taken. He doesn't hold your, he expects you to take responsibility for yourself and your education, and is brutally honest about his opinions. He knows more about this topic than any other, and if you want to learn, take his class. You'll learn.
While most say Professor Sousa is harsh and mean, he does it because he cares. He has very high expectations for students but if you go see him in his office he is very helpful and interesting. This man will be the reason I get a job after graduation.
He is one of the best professors at Bryant. He promises you a quality education from the first day and he certainly delivers this and more. Dr Sousa comes of as strict and a little intimidating but he's a man who cares about his students and wants to see them do well. His lectures are crystal clear and I promise you will walk out smarter
This man does not deserve the title of Professor. He is extremely rude & demeaning. Instead of teaching his first few weeks of class he rudely put down other professors, calls fellow students Stupid to their face in front of the whole class, rants at you in study groups. Want a lesson in Bad Behavior take Sousa. Shocking Bryant keeps this guy.
This guy is the classic professor you want to knock out cold because he shows you up in class
Doesn't teach excel wants you to read book and teach yourself.
Sousa is a very tough professor. He's going to make you work for your grade and will not hand anything out to you. He can be demeaning if you don't know an answer but it's because he wants you to be prepared for his class. If you want to learn excel this is definitely the best professor to take.
Not a nice professor. He's an incredibly hard grader. He thinks he's right about everything. If you don't memorize the guidelines for the project then he'll call you out if you ask a question that is answered in there. He makes you scared to answer a question because he makes you feel stupid if you're wrong. High stress level in this class
Sousa is a genius, and if you can get him to share his knowledge instead of beat it into your head I feel like he could be a great resource. Unfortunately, it's hard to have a thick skin while dealing with his criticism, he's pretty impatient and short tempered. Wouldn't round my grade up from a 79.8. He knows what you do on Thursday nights.
I have never I met a person that is more narcissistic. I went to get help from him once and he made me feel badly about trying to get help. Only if he likes you will you enjoy his class. He only wants to hear the right answer and if you are wrong he lets you know and is very degrading. He is very intelligent, but despite this he is rude. Avoid him.
Absolutely one of the best professors at Bryant, actually cares about his students and treats you like adults. It is a lot of work but you learn so much. I recommend Sousa to everyone who actually cares about their education.
Professor Sousa is tough, but he is one of the only professors at Bryant who actually cares about your education. I learned more in this class than any other Freshman or Sophomore class. Would recommend taking Sousa if you want to learn and if you take the time to get to know him you wont think he is all that bad.
This professor is horrible. He made students cry on the daily. He is so unbelievably rude to his students. He is the meanest teacher I have ever had. He does not deserve to work at Bryant. He is rude, inconsiderate, and is so unhelpful. He makes you look so stupid if you do not know something. He's HORRIBLE. I do not recommend him at all.
Sousa is tough, not gonna lie. He expects a lot from his students and can be very self righteous at times. However, he genuinely cares about his students and teaching. His lectures are very engaging and you will learn so much about excel. As tough as it can be you will come out with great skill set.
Sousa is by far one of my favorite professors here. He gets a bad rap but overall his student's success is his main priority and he just wants you to do well. His feedback can be harsh at times but take it to heart and learn from it, hes a very intelligent man and you will learn A LOT if you put the effort in the class and FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS!
TAKE HIM. Best professor I have ever had. Look, he is tough, but you will learn a ton from him. He treats you with respect and wants the best for all of his students.
Worst professor I have had. Made me feel that I couldn't raise my hand, constantly gives negative feedback and cuts you off while speaking. He thinks hes great at giving lectures meanwhile they are the most simple things that he turns into something impossible. Assigns like 5 things a week. Quizzes and exams hard. Never would take again
First day brings in a former student to talk then leaves the room. Student says if you can't devote all your time and effort to this class you'll fail and withdraw. Sousa comes back, says I provide a quality education if you are willing to work for it. Should've known to run out straight to advising to drop ASAP. Take ANY other prof, NOT WORTH IT
If you do not like to participate this class is not for you. Thinks he knows everything but he actually is a solid person if you go to office hours. He does think this is the only class you have and in the middle of the semester the work piles up.
By far the toughest professor I've met at Bryant. Unfortunately, if you're an ISA/Data Science major, you will take him for Database Management (he's the only one who teaches it). This course is hard already, but his attitude makes it even more difficult creating stress among students. Please be prepared for the workload and developing a thick skin
Very tough professor. Take his class if you want to be more knowledgeable in the subject matter, otherwise do yourself a favor and find another professor if you aren't willing to dedicate serious time to it.
Worse teacher Ive ever had. Condescending, rude, self-righteous. Aside from his terrible personality, he is a horrible teacher. Dont expect to learn a single thing in his class lectures. Highly recommend dropping his class. Clearly picks favorites based on personal preferences. Horrible teacher, even worse personality.
Sousa sends out an email at the beginning of the semester saying he is tough. I take this as just encouraging since the subject matter isn't too tough for me. Becomes the worst subject because he doesn't teach it well, his lectures don't mean much but you have to always listen. Egotistical and arrogant most of the time. Drop immediately
Definitely wouldn't take this professor again. Some of the class is textbook and some is Excel. Barely gives guidance on the group project. Gets mad when you can't answer very specific questions in class. Definitely made my anxiety peak and self esteem drop. Would recommend taking any other ISA professor if you're a business major.
Sousa is a good man and likes to joke around with students which makes him likeable. Teaching however, he makes the class feel incompetent if we are unable to answer a question and threatens to cancel class and wish us luck on the exam. Does not use anything but real world examples in class. This is the hardest class you will take at Bryant.
He verbally berates his students if they do not answer questions fast enough, almost brags about students dropping his class. He expects you to ignore your other classes to focus on his. Made a joke over half of our class dropping after the first day. Creates a toxic and unwelcoming class environment. So nasty to students for getting answers wrong.
Worst Professor you will take at Bryant. Cuts you off while talking and will make fun of you for saying the wrong answer. Do no take this professor very tough and arrogant. Thinks you only have his class and not 4 more. Just do yourself a favor and take another professor.
He was one of the hardest profs I had. I took him as a freshman (mistake). I learned so much in that class. One of my friends had him and my friend did very well on SAT's when he found out he told him that he "was like an 8" basketball player who can't dunk". That was the second class. He will insult you so make sure you have thick skin.
Loves telling his students how great of a person he is, but never demonstrates it. He insults his students on the daily as a "joke" despite nobody laughing, which would be fine if he wasn't such an arrogant person.
He does care about his students and gives you a lot of extra credit which comes in handy at the end of the semester. But he thinks his class is the only class you have work in considering he makes you write 6 pages of notes before every class.
I had Sousa for ISA201 and I will say that I do not recommend taking this professor for ISA201. The course itself is pretty hard as far as the tests and material go, you have to do a lot of excel, which he gives little direction or help on. The worst part by far is the rigor of the lectures, Sousa will berrate you if you incorrectly answer.
He is very strict, but he is a very good professor. He told us personal stories to help us understand that he truly cares for his students (which is true). He will make fun of you, but in a light way. He knows what he is teaching and I am glad I am took him in the long run because his class is an experience.
Do not take Professor Sousa if you can't take constructive criticism. All the negative posts you see are true, but he genuinely is the best professor at Bryant. You have to have an open mind and be ready to put in more work than you have in any other class. It will be the hardest class you will take but also the one you can learn the most from.
If you are a girl do not take this class. He is extremely sexist and misogynistic. He does not teach excel in class and is very rude when you ask questions. He will also make "jokes" about students in class that are not funny and makes class uncomfortable. No one respected him. During group project meetings we just made fun of him the entire time
Bros quite the goober. Entire campus hates him yet he walks around like Sir Charles. Drop him, or quite frankly, DONT TAKE HIM! Disrespects every student, walks around campus like he's the President. Didn't learn a single thing from Sousa besides how to ruin people's hopes and dreams. Just an angry ole boomer.
All of what is said about the rude comments is true, but if you have thick skin and can understand that these jokes aren't with ill intent. THE best professor that I have had by far and everything I have learned can correlate and I am being taught in other classes.
Sousa is not for everyone. I chose him solely because I wanted a night class, and he was a bit off putting at first but he cares for his students. He kind of forces you to care about the class, which as annoying as is, I learned so much about excel and real life application. If you care and try he'll notice, care and appreciate it.
I have mixed feelings, to be honest. I learned a lot of life skills and emotional intelligence from his class. Thanks to Sousa, I have begun implementing changes in my personality and thinking. In the real world, you will deal with a lot of prideful monkeys like him who will impose their will to the utmost to get whatever they want.
Taking Sousa's class was very difficult at the time, and truthfully I was not a fan of the guy. However, after taking his class, I realized just how much I learned, not only about Excel, but also about how companies operate and other real-world problems that will be useful in the long run. Take his class if you have thick skin and want to learn!
While during the class I wanted to scream at Dr. Sousa every day, once leaving his class you realize the value of his teaching style. I see information from ISA 201 in pretty much every class I currently take here. I have come to appreciate Dr. Sousa because he truly wants his students to succeed. Best professor at Bryant. Buy In.
I'll say this as nicely as possible. Sousa is the worst professor at Bryant. He overcomplicates simple concepts, and students end up having to teach themselves. He picks favorites, belittles students for wrong answers, gives no guidance on group project, and then tears you to shreds if you miss one small detail. AVOID if you care about yourself.
Sousa's class is challenging but rewarding. He can be tough, but cares deeply about student success. I found Unstuck ai super helpful for Excel prep - gave me the edge I needed.
This might be one of the worst teachers I have ever had in my life. He has the biggest ego on him. He likes to pick on students just to make him feel better. Can definitely see he was a young person who was either bullied or insulted growing up and this is his get back. Be littles you which is crazy coming from a person with 0 business success.DROP
NFL Pro Comp: Bill Belichick Coaching style is a bit antiquated in the modern era. Has trouble connecting to newer generations. Requires complete and total buy in for any success to be had. That being said, when given 100% effort, the reward is real. Not a great fit for everyone. Be ready to go to work.
Sousa is a very difficult professor and if you catch him on a bad day, you'll know through his temper and short fuse. However, he is very decorated and knows what he's doing. If you have thick skin and can sit through his outbursts, the outcome of the class will be well worth it. Somedays I wanted to drop the class, others I was thankful.
Class itself wasn't bad this dude was just a virgin who had a god complex
Probably the worst professor of all time. Dude does not explain any assignments and just expects people to know how to do them. He takes the class way to seriously. He doesn't teach you any excel you learn all of that from pearson. He thinks he's the funniest guy ever when in reality nobody thinks this dude is funny. He demands attention.
He gives me the worst anxiety, Tough grader and gets on your last nerve asking for participation. Honestly wouldn't recommend. You have to read to be able to pass and participate in class. It's true that he teaches you lot of excel that will help in your future, yet idk if is worth taking him for a whole semester.
Professor Sousa is an incredible, his Excel class is both engaging and practical. He explains every concept clearly and makes complex formulas easy to understand. His real-world examples and patience help every student improve fast. Highly recommend his class to everyone!
I signed up for this class hearing the horror stories about Sousa. Please listen to every single one of them. I literally have a 4.0 and am probably going to fail this class. I took this class knowing it would be difficult, but wanting to actually learn the material. He makes learning impossible and is a horrible person. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS
