One of the best teachers I've ever had...and as a senior, I've had a lot of teachers. Always willing to clarify whatever you don't understand. Leaves it up to you to read the book and if you don't, then it's your loss.

Ken Vehec is probably the best teacher I've had throughout both high school and college. His brutally honest-yet-lovable personality combined with unmatched wit makes his lectures a pleasure to attend. Expect to think in his class.

He comes off as a toughy, but he really has the student's best interests at heart. He also managed a way for everyone who showed up to class to do a good job. He's a caring, and smart teacher with real life experience that he can draw upon. He's great.

Discussions in class can get useless b.c he can get off track... however the tests arent very hard, but arent extremely easy. if you go to class, you get rewarded, big time. funny, good sense of humor and is willing to help you out.

i loved this class! i learned a lot about tons of diff topics.. rewards those who actually care to come to class, hi-lights almost all the test questions straight from the book, easy and fun!

Class was interesting, but his system of passing out tests and passing back work needs an overhaul. It takes him forever sometimes to start class, but as long as you read the text and participate in class, you'll do fine.

It's hard to tell when he's telling the truth. He has a very sarcastic personality which can get annoying. But his class is pretty easy!

Offers tons of extra credit. Not too many tests. Decent writing assignments. Cancels friday classes a lot. Starts class late, and sometimes doesn't teach, so bring something to do so you're not bored.

Very easy. He wants you to have fun. Don't ask for extra credit and he'll hand it out like water. Always take a test early, he'll make it super easy. Sometimes he can be a jerk but just be a jerk back in a fun way and everyone will have a good laugh!

Dr. V really taught an amazing class. He was fun, energetic, and made the subject exciting. He never gave homework, and there were 3 or 4 articles (5 sentences) due for the semester. TAKE HIM!!

I was a TA for this course and Dr. Vehec is certainly one of the better professors at UCF. His course is very fair for a general freshman psychology class. Reading the book, attending class, and doing all of the assignments and EC will land an "A". As he puts it, he's "not out to hurt anyone."

this was an easy class. you dont have to go to class but just make sure you get the review pages for the test.

Awesome class and awesome prof. His midterm and final were both take home (a.k.a. very easy) the other tests were also easy, one of them was just the review questions at the end of the chapters. Also his lectures were very entertaining. Take him if you can.

Fantastic! Great great teacher and made me love the subject! I went in with no interest in the class at all and ended up wanting to learn more! I loved the way he taught. I went after class to his labs to learn more because I honestly grew a bond for the topic.

I adore this man. He's who I want to be in 30 years. Clever, funny, and experienced in pretty much anything and everything. He's friendly, but he plays mind games, so stay on your toes. Read the chapter before going to class and it'll be a lot more fun. The book he assigns is an easy read, anyhow. Be respectful because he deserves it.

Comes off as a hardass in the beginning but quickly loosens up. Read the chapter before class because if you participate he cancels the paper and presentation you were supposed to do. Lets you win back points on tests. Attend class because he gives extra credit. Extra credit for community service. 4 tests 50 questions, and cumulative final. Easy

Best professor by far! He keeps things incredibly entertaining and energized but it is still structured. Applies the information instead of just speaking. Definitely read before lectures and definitely them, he often rewards the students who show up. All around a great guy and I would want to take another class from him.

Amazing teacher. I think every other professor should give up because professor Vehec is the best, without a doubt! He keeps his students entertained and is truly out to facilitate learning not just give students a grade. This psychology class was entertaining and informative. I wish I could take it again. You have to try really hard NOT to get an A in the class. He is very passionate about psychology but very easy going.

He is crazy, but in a completely funny way. He has a good heart, and wants everyone to pass. Show up to his class, he gives extra credit. And If he's too tired, he puts the exams online or just tells you the answers. RAISE YOUR HAND during the exams, he will give you the answers if you ask!

Class is actually interesting and even though it stunk that it was at night it was always fun to go and sometimes he gives extra credit if you stay in class (don't ever leave early). His exams are easy if you read the chapter.

GREAT professor. Took his class on a Wednesday night and I am not a night person, but I actually looked forward to his classes because they felt more like a comedy show or a magic show than a lecture. He is awesome. You do have to study for tests, but the material is interesting and easy. He is very clear.

Dr. Vehec is a good professor. His lectures consist of him reading from the textbook and having discussions on the topic with the occasional video. The tests were slightly difficult, but offered "debates" to gain additional points back on exams. Assigned a paper and presentation and then dropped it for most students. Would recommend him to anyone.

I am trying to schedule my next semester by any courses that he may teach. Definitely the best professor that I've had in my 3.5 years of college. He makes the long lectures interesting, he has experience in fields other than just psychology and gives great participation credit. If you take his class read and participate!

I've been at UCF for 3 years now, and this was my last gen Ed. I have to say this may have been my favorite class so far. Vehec is interesting and really makes class a lot of fun. The lectures can be a little dry, but he still manages to keep students engaged. Always stay for the entire class! Can't say enough good things about him and the class.

Dr. Vehec is an incredible professor, and solidified my love of psychology even more. He's super fun, easy to talk to, and likes to "stir the pot" to get a discussion going. I had him for a three hour class and it got more comfortable and he loosens up as it goes on. STAY FOR THE WHOLE CLASS it's hard but he gives extra credit and exempts you from the ten page paper and presentation and tests or gives a study guide. My favorite professor so far. Great guy!

Amazing professor. If your class is engaging in the beginning of the semester, the rest of the class will be a breeze. He liked our class so he took away our 5 page research paper, changed all of our exams to online, and he would randomly put up a quiz on webcourses for like 15 minutes that would give you extra credit and a 100 on the exam.

I love this class! To be honest, if you read the book you'll be fine. He makes his lectures very interesting! He's funny, and makes it easy to relate to the material. Beware though, sometimes he'll give random attendance quizzes that are only open for a few minutes & based on that class. He liked our class and took away our 5 pg research paper!

Best professor ever! He makes you feel like you are actually doing something with your education. Make sure you go to class (there will be perks). I looked forward to attending this class every week, and just to show how much everyone loved him, there was a line on the last day of class just for people to hug him. Prof. Vehec is a funny, easy-going guy. He gave out extra credit like candy for going to events, Burger U, and showing up to class. Also, half way through the semester, all the tests became quizzes he posted online. He makes sure to make his lectures fun and entertaining. The website Flashnotes has student notes for tests.

The more the class reads the material ahead of time and participates, the easier he will make the class. We went from in class tests on 3 chapters to online tests with just 1 chapter at a time. Show up, some test material is from lecture only and if he notices a lot of people missing will do an attendance quiz.

Very hard to read his teaching style. READ and SPEAK UP in lecture and you will go far in this class. Don't skip class or leave early because he gives out extra credit. If he gives a 10 page paper, DO IT and don't forget to cite as many sources as he asks for.

He has an ego through the roof and constantly enjoys talking about himself. A lot of his stories were; however, interesting. My class participated a lot so he got rid of in class tests and instead, put them online where the answers are easily accessible through Google. Gets students involved and makes you want to come to class. Would take again.

Really awesome class. If you participate, he gets rid of all tests. You will have about 1 online quiz per week and you can google all the answers. DO NOT SKIP CLASS. He will cancel most Friday classes anyways, but he will randomly do attendance quizzes. Have an open mind because he does discuss touchy subjects like religion and sexuality.

This is the easiest class I have ever taken....... all you have to do is show up and pass. Even though he sometimes does surprise attendance quizzes, showing up to class is so worth it because he tells the funniest stories and you really do gain a different perspective on life. My final grade in the class was a 99%!

Doesn't take attendance but GO! He sometimes gives quizzes with a password at the end of class and if you don't go to class you'll get a zero. There is only one 5 page paper assigned and he didn't tell us at the time but if you were there for all of the password quizzes you didn't have to write the paper. Also super funny! Easy A!

This guy was great at entertaining the class and keeping it fun. Made the material interesting and you'd learn things without even realizing it. No tests, some short essays that you could write an hour before class if you wanted to. Biggest key to his class is to ATTEND and participate. Don't ask for extra credit, or he won't give it out. Great guy

Vehec is an amazing professor. He actually made it so our Department Final doesn't count if we bomb it. This class is super fun and he offers a lot of extra credit. Attendance is optional, but he does attendance quizzes with passwords given out at the end of class. Best professor I've had so far. He truly care about the success of his students.

Show up to class. If you're there on certain days, he exempts you from the final and the paper. I didn't even bother buying the textbook after I saw how he did the quizzes. The questions are from Quizlet sets so you can just google them. The lectures themselves are very entertaining. Would definitely take again.

Professor Vehec is an AMAZING professor! You WILL NOT regret taking his class. He makes his lecture fun and interesting unlike a lot of teachers. The overall participation of the class matters and if your class participates overall you won't have a final exam. Show up and you'll get points just for coming to class. Professor Vehec is definitely an unconventional teacher. He makes class fun and lectures based on what he likes rather than textbook-limited material. Overall, there's no reason anyone should fail this class. Quizzes are online and there are plenty of extra credit assignments.

One of the most interesting teachers I've had at UCF. He's so funny and outgoing, the whole class is a discussion. Not one test because we kept up conversation in class. Only has to write current events ever so often. This class was an EASY A+ if you just show up to class (he makes quizzes with passwords in class)

I personally enjoyed Dr. Vehec's humor although some people would not. He's very upbeat and excited when teaching so it's very easy to become interested in what he's saying. He doesn't take any bs so don't even try. Tip: If you take him for Developmental Psych., beware his gender role lecture. You've been warned.

Overall good professor, great person to learn from. His grading rubric isn't too clear, pop quizzes and if you skip, you're bound to miss something. Okay Dr. Vehec is a good professor. He is funny and lectures are always interesting. BUT ! Here are some advice to survive. 1. turn your phone off or on silent; or else 10 points off your final grade each time a phone go off, and that's off everyone grade in the class, NOT JUST YOU ! 2. Do the extra credit, it will help with the -10 phone grade.

Loved this class, professor is very flexible. Attendance quizzes are given randomly but if you regularly attend class you'll be fine. There were no exams and NO final. The grade is based on quizzes and articles only. He gives plenty of options for extra credit. Great class! I ended with a 97

Seriously the greatest professor of ALL time. Somehow finds away to take away the 100 point essay he assigns by either: coming to class to watch the videos on a random day assigned, donating to Knight Thon, etc. You'd have to be insanely lazy not to get an A. He gives NO FINAL for both Gen Psych and Dev. Psych (I took him for both)textbook required

Great professor. Show up to ALL lectures, he gives out participation quizzes/exam excusals frequently. Read the chapters and PARTICIPATE in the discussions. 10-20pg paper is optional if you donate to Knight-thon. I took this class as an elective. Overall a really fun class that I thoroughly enjoyed. Says attendance is important but gives pop quizzes for attendance purposes on random days. Really funny, interesting lectures. Helpful when you need it. Online quizzes. Lots of extra credit options. If things go well you won't have any in class tests or a final. Do quizzes on time and you should pass easily.

Easy class. He didn't give any tests because we participated during discussion. He just gave a few quizzes, and four one page article discussions. He assigns a 5 page paper but gives you a lot of opportunities to get out of it. He made the department final count as extra credit so it didn't effect our grade. STAY UNTIL THE END FOR EASY POP QUIZZES!

I took this class in freshman year a few semesters ago, Vehec is FANTASTIC. My favorite professor by far. He will genuinely help you in your grades and any other issues he as a doctor can assist you with, and wants you to make an A. Hilarious, used to be a comedian. I had him for Developmental Psychology and everyone is always scared of him at first because he comes off as tough. But he really cares and softens up with time. He's super chill, nice, and keeps lectures interesting with new material. The quizzes are straight out of the book and if you really don't want to go to class you can pass without it.

He covers a chapter a week (from my experience) and then you take an online quiz on that chapter, If the class as a whole does well, he won't give you a test on it. There is a 20 page paper, but you will get a chance to get out of it, by donating to a good cause

I'd take any class this man teaches. I'm looking up other classes to have him again. Amazing guy, amazing professor. Easy class, weekly quizzes online right from the book.

I've never met a professor that shared my same beliefs until I had Vehec. He values hard work, dedication, and being politically incorrect. So in other words, he's freaking AWESOME. As for the class itself, its easy. Just keep up with webcourses for due dates on quizzes and articles and you'll be fine. Oh and he was in the Navy!

This class is very easy. The class looks like it will be hard at first but, but theres very little work at all. Quizzes were online and there were no tests as long as we participated in discussion. The lectures are funny, however usually off topic. Super easy to get an A.

It's a very easy class as long as you participate in discussions. Don't let your phone go off or he'll deduct points from everyone's grade, and ESPECIALLY don't wear your hat backwards. He hates that and will not hesitate to embarrass you in front of 300 people. He's politically incorrect and not afraid to tell it like it is which I loved.

Very easy to get an A in. as long as you discuss during class, you will not have a test, only online quizzes that you can do at home. He makes psychology fun. he knows a lot about psychology. goes off topic but when he does, it is interesting. Gives a lot of chances for extra credit

Great professor! He loves what he teaches and loves including students! He offers extra credit many times throughout the semester. Honestly, I recommend reading the textbook before class that way you can participate in his activities. Attendance was not mandatory but I loved class! I'm taking his sports psychology class next semester for fun!

Professor Vehec designs his class to be interesting and easily to pass. He is very sarcastic and I actually enjoyed going to his class. He knows how to keep students interested. You are asked to do very little so if you do what's assigned you'll do great.

Interesting class, never wanted to skip class ! He tells you what to do clear and cut and how he grades it ! LOTS of extra credit opportunities and especially if you volunteer in class! Take this class, you won't regret it !

Vehec was an easy A. Vehec is a great professor! His class is very fair, if you show up and pay attention you'll pass. Make sure to do the chapter readings before class otherwise he will give a pop quiz. He is very funny and can come across as "full of himself" but that is because he is psychology professor! He is full of knowledge and you can learn a lot!

By far the best professor I've had at this school! Very engaging lectures and very funny. The quizzes are relatively easy and he only gives tests if the quiz grade averages start to drop. Despite being in a large lecture hall, he keeps his lectures discussion based, so it's nice hearing opinions from all around the room.

Don't really have to go to class or read. Beware: there are a few pop quizzes that are only accessible by a password he says in class. As long as the class participates, there are no problems. When he found out my class wasn't reading, he assigned a pop exam in class. Eventually removed it from webcourses because he was just teaching us a lesson.

Best Professor hands down. If you are sensitive this is not the class for you. He makes jokes all the time, lectures are fun. Quizzes come from the lectures 1-3 times. Gives random in class quizzes, so beware of the days you decide to skip. He is a great guy, easy A. LOTS of extra credit opportunities. like four 1 1/2 page essays for psych depart

Vehec is funny and helpful. His demonstrations are great and his stories are even better. Make sure you give input and be engaged- he will be willing to help out if you help make the class interesting. The whole class went to hug him at the end of the semester- that's how great he was.

An war vet that's a comedian, radio host, and has several letters after his name. The guy is hilarious and doesn't care what people think. It's a shame he got fired from UCF, but he was selling grades for donations to charities. Beware of pop quizzes! I missed one quiz and my grade dropped twenty points, but he ended up helping me out about it.
