He was well-prepared, well-organized and very clear in lecture. This is a hard course anywhere you go but he made it fun and easier to understand. I would highly recommend him to anyone. No homework and the tests consists of the material discussed.

He had clear-cut lectures and a good sense of humor. Labs were challenging. He was always there to help students if needed. Very nice guy, highly recommended for a difficult course.

I absolutely was not interested in organic chem before taking this class- it was a prereq for school- although I still do not want to be an organic chemist I can honestly say the class was enjoyable! I learned a ton and had fun doing it. Dr. White applied many things to our everyday life, which made all these little things we learned more real!

If you need to take CHM112, I recommend taking Dr. White's course. As long as you attend class and complete the assigned practice problems, you will do very well in this class. He only expects you to learn things he thinks are important, instead of memorizing every formula in the text. The course is designed for you to succeed.

Dr. White is my number one favorite science teacher. Science is my weakest subject but he made it so easy for me.The first day he will talk about 6.02 X 10 to the 23rd power! over and over again. Dr. White is one of the best Chem teachers around! He covers the material at least 3 times before you take the test, so you definitely will be ready for anything. We joke that he's a super hero because he has so many stories about saving lives in a chem lab, or saving companies thousands of dollars from something he came up with.

This man is a king among men. Huge breadth of knowledge from working in the industry, and incredible stories to keep class fascinating. A book was not used this semester, which reduced costs. Lectures and expectations are transparent. O-Chem is usually feared- White makes it accessible, fun, and practical for daily life. Take this professor.

I took him for CHM 112 & 170. He is just that good! He has practice problems that will help you do good on his tests... There are no surprises on his tests. If he went over it at least twice it'll be on the test. Did I mention that he makes his own labs for CHM 170?!? So that will save you some $$$ cause you won't need to buy a lab book!!!

Taking CHM 112 now. Amazing teacher! Need to attend lectures because you won't have to read a single word in the book. Very straight and to the point and practices what you need to know over and over so you get the hang of it. Pretty funny. He always says, and means it, "There's no such thing as a dumb question."

Dr. White explains things clearly & goes over several practice problems ALMOST making it unnecessary to do any studying outside of class. Unless its lab day-you wont leave early.

If you are scared of Orgo, good class 2 take. He breaks down the concepts to very manageable chunks. Appreciate his care for students and willingness to help. Dr. White knows his ORG Chem. He gives exam guides and practice problems geared towards the exam. If you do those and take notes during class, you should ace this class. I also like that he ties the subject with the outside world. I really enjoyed his lectures and he made this subject less daunting and more manageable, even fun and interesting.

He made Chem seem so easy. He takes the time to make sure everyone understands the material and will stay on a topic however long the class needs. Barely any homework besides your to-do lists and lab worksheets which can easily be done in class on a lab day. Never used a textbook.

I did his class at COD. But he is honestly such a good teacher I thought I should rate him here as well. But the class is such an easy A if you put in the work. You can access all his videos anytime, responds to his emails super quick, and is willing to work with you if needed. I cannot express how much YOU SHOULD TAKE HIM. you will not regret!

Took this class after graduating high school for college credit. Course was very easy (online, self paced). The only thing I did in this class were labs which he graded easily. Tests were easy as long as you reviewed his practice problems / quizzes (which were easy too). Responded to emails quickly and always let me reschedule when I was busy.
