Dr. White is not only hilarious, but informative and exceedingly fair on tests and assignments. His extra credit is huge in it's impact on final grades. Great guy to take a course with

The lectures are boring but helpful in order to pass tests. Use study guide to study, he uses very similar questions (since he wrote book). Easy to pass if you go to class and take good notes. Class is required.

Lecture is VERY boring, buy you need to come. BUY the sudy guide. The exams come right from it, even some exact problems. Easy class to get an A in.

Very funny guy, great stories, presents material in a very clear, straightforward way. Easy A if you go to class and study the practice tests in the study guide.

Dr. White is a great professor. If you study and go to class, you should have no problem. Grading scale works to advantage of the student big time. Use the study guide, test are the same format.

i hate statistics, but he is great!!! the studyguide is very similar to his tests. he is so nice, he reminds me of Santa Claus

Prof. White is a good guy. He REVIEWS the same material over and over many times. The tests are of medium difficulty. But if u take time study and DO the extra credit u can make an A.

Awesome teacher! Go to class, pay attention and it will cut your studying in half. Sit in the front b/c its hard to read his handwriting sometimes, but other than that the class is spiffy beans.

Good teadher! Go to class, take good notes, pay attention and you will get a good grade. Do the extra credit... 3 points does not seem like a lot but it is on his scale. The only thing is that he has awful handwriting... VERY hard to read!

The lectures are very boring and I found them pointless to attend. However, if you study the studyguide and learn that material you will be fine. The test material comes straight from that.

Dr. White is an excellent instructor. Come to class, take good notes, and be sure to do the practice test in the study guide. My only complaint would be that his handwriting is kind of sloppy, which can make the notes a little hard to follow.

Tests are easy when you study for them. There are one of two questions that are tricky. He is a nice teacher, but when I went to his office to ask him a question it seemed like he didnt want to be bothered because he was standing right by the door.

Easy class. I got a B cause I was lazy. I only went for his exams since the lectures seemed boring to me. But I caution you not to do that unless you have a good background with statistics. All you really need is the study guide and lectures after test 2

I think he is a cool old guy. His stories make lecture less boring and are applicable to the chapters. He has a very clear teaching style. He wrote but will tell u if u attend he can explain concepts better, this is true attend class and you will get an A

Cool professor. Enjoyed his lectures and real world stories which correlates with the chapters. If you attend class, go over lecture notes, and study the study guide you would definately get an A ... like me! Nice TA but not very helpful.

Ken White is the man, he sounds like Russell Crowe in "a beautiful mind." Buy the study guide and do the chapter problems, they help a lot. Go to lecture, no bonus points but its worht it, even if its a little boring at times.

No need to purchase textbook, but do purchase the study guide. All his exams are from the study guide and if you go to class, he will explain all information very clearly. Make sure to read the study guide and you will have yourself an A. One 3 pt Extra credit-very easy. EASY, EASY A.

I thought that this class was going to be a breeze. I still have an A but you have to watch out for careless errors. The study guide is a useful tool and the graduate assistant tends to make errors on the answer key (watch out). Dr. White is a nice guy with a calm disposition.

I have never had such an awsome teacher. he is EXTREMELY interesting, and his tests are very fair as they come from the lectures that come from the book that he wrote. Everything flows so smooth in this class. you want Dr White. I garantee it.

Although I can't exactly agree with some of the comments posted by the A! students (nerds) in here, I do agree that you should only get the study guide to help you study for this course. Nevertheless, Dr.White is very cool and sometimes he tells these silly but funny jokes in class.

The second test absolutely sucks, but his built-in curve makes it easy to get a good grade. The material is difficult, but he explains it very well. Make sure that you attend class to keep up. If you fall behind, it can be difficult to catch up. All in all, a nice guy and a good teacher.

Funny guy - great teacher - very very easy grader (89%+ is an A, 83%-89% is an A-. Gives you extra credit. Grade comes from three tests. His old tests are floating around.

Easiest class so far, got above a 100%. White is the man! Best teacher I had at UCF so far! remember to do study guide and there should be no reason to do bad on the exam! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Very helpful and very clear...great guy! Class stats may be discouraging but it was really easy if you tried!

Buy the Textbook and the Study Guide - follow his lectures in class - everything that he covers is on the exam. He is very clear as to what is on the exam and never tries to trick you with any questions on the exam. Take him and enjoy learning math again as I did. Study and good luck!

You can fail a couple tests and still make out with a final B grade based on his grading scale. It's the most forgiving one I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing here at UCF. If you don't pass this class, quit school now as there is no hope for you anywhere.

i cant explain how pointless this class is and how little i learned but i got an A- by going to the help desk and missing 80% of the classes. just use the study guide as the book is pointless except for the extra credit

Only read what White goes over in class. The study guide worksheet helps alot. I got an A, but studies pretty hard. White is fair and really goes over problems clearly in class. He is a good professor, and the class is fine.

Excellent professor, the class material is not easy however; his lectures are very clear which helps in understanding the more difficult subject matter. His tests are extremely fair and are nearly identical to the study guide, which I strongly recommend students using before taking the test.

White's class is a little boring but the material is fairly easy. Likes to tell stories and tends to wander from the subject often. He teaches straight from the book, so you don't really have to go to class. Tests are easy if you do the study guides.

White is a nice guy and very experienced. The class is tough and he teaches well so it isn't his fault if you don't do well. He sometimes goes off on tangents and super long stories. I'd recommend him though.

Straight foreward and fairly easy. Tells you exactly what will be on test and even provides formulas for equations on test. Just buy the book don't waste money on the study guide. Very, very, very nice grading scale. Easy to get an A.

This class is easy if you go to class, read the chapters (test questions ask for terminology he doesn't always talk about much in class), and do the study guide problems (you can't make an A if you don't). If you spend 1-2 hours during the week (besides going to class) reading the chapters and doing the problems, this class is a piece of cake.

Quant Methods is not the most exciting subject, but White doesn't make it that bad a class. The Study Guide that comes with the book is very helpful for the tests, VERY helpful. MiniTab is used (comes with book) to do printouts for extra credit and for some test questions. If you go to class, he will work problems that are same format as test

This class is pretty easy, just do the study guide and you should be fine.

White does his best to make the class interesting. You can do well with minimal effort, but if you want the A you will need to read and do problems from the textbook and not just the study guide. Generous grading curves makes it almost impossible to fail.

He is hilarious. Class is interesting, runs through concepts in a clear concise manner. Nice curves. Tests are exactly like the ones the study guide. Great class/professor.

Dr. White was very nice professor, if you do the study guide and listen while you are in class you can do good in class. He have a good grading scale.

Class is so boring. The material is not easy. He usually goes over problems a million times, so make sure you go to class. I dont see how anyone could pass without going to class. His grading scale is helpful. Make sure you practice with the tests in the study guide. First test is over 8 chapters! Its the most difficult so study hard for it!

Reminds me of Elmer Fudd. Very easy professor, grading scale makes it extremely difficult to fail. Get the study guide and study it, it will help you out alot and you should be able to pull a B out of the class no problem. If you put a little more effort, you will get an A. I recommend him.

I think the professor was great. The class was not interesting to me, but I did well. If you know some basic stats/calc you'll do great. If you don't know any stats or calc, make sure you attend lectures, he actually makes things pretty clear. Definitely, definitely do the study guide. The tests mirror the questions in there.

Dr. White is a very nice professor! He wants you to do well in the class. He repeats important points in class and gives you a great study guide for the test. If you pay attention in class and do the study guide you will be happy. I enjoyed the class!!

Very good teacher. Makes a hard class easy. He moves slow through the class and really drills in the important points. Also, it was hilarious when he yelled at students for asking him the same question twice.

Dr. White is god himself. He is hilarious and very unique. Although the subject matter is difficult I don't think you could find a better teacher. The lectures are actually very interesting with his random commentary about life. Oh, and it's also impossible not to get a C or higher with the grading scale. Recommended, even though I hate statistics.

He is quite a funny man. The material is boring but he makes it interesting with his examples. He has traveled a lot so he has a lot of interesting stories about his travels and work and it tends to relate to what hes talking about so its not entirely random. He can get repetitive though, but some people like that.

Dude, what an amazing professor. Ken White is fascinating. He teaches everything crystal clear, and tells awesome stories. One of my most favorite professors. Tests are easy, just know the study guide book, dont buy the textbook. I took 2 of the 3 exams and already had a C in the class. I dont like statistics but what a cakewalk. Watch the lectures

OK teacher. The subject of stats is kinda dry to start with, at least in my opinion, and he didnt do a whole lot to stimulate my interest. Really, really easy to get a C in the class, but very difficult to get an A. Only problem I had was his ridiculously expensive textbook that I barely touched. The study guide is great though, its a must have

Dr. White is a nice guy, and he lectures at a nice pace. Every problem is solved in the lectures, and the study guide is an essential item. There's no way around his class as far as I know for business majors - gotta take him. Not a very inspiring course, but Dr. White knows his stuff and keeps the lectures full of good and bad stories!

Nice guy, not a simple class but definately possible. Study guide is essential. He does curve if he feels it is necessary...our class had a one point curve overall.

Fairly easy class but dear lord the material is boring. Tends to tell lengthy stories that waste class time in my opinion. Get the study guide and make sure to go/watch the last lecture before the test starts. Don't buy the book. Like I said, easy class but hard to pay attention due to how boring it was.

Professor White is very clear about his expectations, and what will be on the tests, and he works on a VERY generous grading scale. If i didnt already have a solid stats background i might have found the course tougher. So if you aren't strong in math you will need to work pretty hard to do well!

Really easy class! Lectures can be boring but he has good stories and on good days is really funny. Kind of behind on technology, literally writes on notebook paper under the doc cam, but teaches you the essentials without the BS so it's a lot easier to understand. Every test has 2 extra credit questions, I ended up with 105%. I'd recommend him!

White = A+ prof, sleeper subject but interesting, used the study guide took notes for every class then fill in the study guide w/ ur notes, have to try for an A, but memory is most important of the formulas.

Very boring subject but he does a good job of making it bearable. I took his class online and got an A by listening to all the videos (although I trailed off a lot) and studying the study guide intensely before each exam. Don't get behind. Never used the book or minitab.

Quant. Bus Tools 2 is a pure statistics class. The subject is boring but Dr. White makes it simple, and his stories which serve a point will make you interested in the subject. He also wrote the textbook. Watch the videos, even if you don;t read the book and you will do OK. Got a B+.

This class has the potential to be very difficult. However, Professor White makes it easy to understand. I never found myself frustrated with the material as I did in previous stat classes. His point scale is very lenient. You have to buy the study guide if you want to pass. I wouldve gotten an A had I studied better for the first exam.

Great professor. Just go to class or watch his lectures. Make sure you actually do the problems and follow along in class and you will get an easy A. No HW, just do end of chapter problems before tests too, if you can do all of them youll get a 95% on his tests at least.

Easy class, great professor. If you have the chance to take it with him, do it, because he always mentions that this may be the last semester he teaches this class. Grade is solely based on 3 exams, and he curves the grading scale down so you can essentially get a 58% in the class and get a C. Watch the lectures and get the study guide.
