Makes class interesting. One of the only science classes I've had where I didn't fall asleep half the time.
Awesome teacher. Very energetic & enthusiastic. Super helpful -- he'll bend over backward for you and get to know you personally. He tries to make class interesting and fun. I highly recommend!
He is the man a super nerd but still an awesome guy and really wants the class as a whole to do good.
So much fun! He shot himself with an air cannon and gave a lecture while sucking on helium. If tests are hard, he curves them. I got almost 5 full percentage points of extra credit in his class. Easy and fun.
I really enjoyed the class. Dr. Gee is fun and he explains the concepts well. The class is hard, but probably no harder than any physics class. He does curve the tests, so even if they are hard he makes it fair. I recommend taking his class.
So so so funny. I cannot get over what a cool nerd guy Dr. Gee is. Physics is not a fun or easy subject for most taking the class, but he made it so interesting and great! He was so fair in all of his grading standards and makes getting a good grade totally possible. I definitely recommend taking the class from him.
I loved this class! Prof. Gee is sooo funny and does cool experiments in class. He is way excited about physics, and makes it so much more fun to learn! The homework isn't bad, but if you have trouble, go to the TA lab. If you do bad on tests, he will curve it, and I think he even dropped a test grade. Overall, a great experience!! Take Gee!!
Dr. Gee is the coolest prof i have ever taken. I hated physics just becuase I have physics naturally but he made the class so fun. He is way fair grading and tries to help you in every way possible. Great professor!
I dare you to find a better teacher than Dr. Gee. He really cares about our learning. He is hilarious. He's a mix between Dwight from the Office and Conan O'Brian. Probably more like Dwight. This is by far the best Physics 105 class BYU has to offer. I have been in the other. I mean he actually tried memorizing all our names! Who does that?
Keeps class fun, with demonstrations and other ways of applying what you learn. Lectures are beneficial as the concepts from the book can be confusing and abstract. Overall, great teacher!
A very good and very funny teacher. His tests aren't easy, but he prepare you well if your willing to try. Excellent teaching style. Just don't try and ask a personal favor and you'll be good.
What a cool guy! I was really afraid to take physics in college because I have never had it before, but this was the guy to take it from. He is such a geek, but so cool. His tests vary from easier to hard, but you ALWAYS have to study. Is really fair and loves his students. Plus, you get points for his mistakes on tests...
One of the best teachers at BYU. Fantastic teacher, dang funny, very entertaining, great at explaining. Home work and reading quizzes each class period due before class. Requires constant effort, but not too hard. Go to the TA lab for homework 1 hr/assignment, & 1-2 hrs for reading each time, then tests will be manageable. I Highly recommend him.
Dr Gee is a great physics professor, full of energy (kinetic), interested in his students, would help after class if you were struggling, curved tests and wants you to do well. Dont be surprised to make between a 50-80 on the tests, especially the first one. study hard and do the homework
Acoustics class with Dr. Gee was so much fun! He is hilarious and made even the simplest demonstrations a blast. He uses helpful power point lectures, and creates "practice exams" that basically outline exactly what is going to be on the test! If you want to take a fun Physics class, take Acoustics from Dr. Gee!
Dr. Gee is an excellent teacher. Reading the manual before each class really helped me understand what he was teaching. Fun demonstrations. Quizes reflect the tests. Plenty of opportunities for extra credit.
Reading is manadatory, there are reading quizzes. Read and do the homework and Dr. Gee will help you LEARN physics. One of the best professors I've had.
AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! GEE IS soo awsome! I wish he taught 106. TAke this class from anyone else and you're an idiot. He shot himself in class and is way fair on tests. go to class and get tons of extra credit. way laid back class and super fun.
Dr. Gee is my favorit professor so far at BYU. Physics isn't exactly my best subject but I looked forward to going to class every week. The tests require a lot of thought but are managable. After the first test average was a 65, Dr. Gee said "Don't worry, if you took the test, you pass the test." He is really willing to help you learn.
Excellent Professor. Brother Gee makes class very interesting and does lots of demos. Not a very difficult class but you learn a lot. Probably my favorite this semester. As long as you stay on top of the homework and reading quizzes you will be set for the exams.
I loved this class! Gee is an amazing teacher! If you get help on the homework in class and complete the practice exams before each test, you should have no trouble making an A. This class was one of the best structured classes I have taken at BYU. Though you have quizzes/homework due almost everyday, they help prepare for the exam!Gee Rocks!:)
Gee is waaaaaay cool. Pay attention and don't fall asleep in class, like Cody, or he'll single you out. Lots of reviews and lots of opportunities for extra credit. Ask him to shoot himself with a ping-pong ball, its worth it. :)
By far the best class I've ever taken at BYU. The tests are take home but do-able if you follow along in class and do the reading. He's understanding about the difficulty of the material and is super approachable.
How cool is it to say you are getting an A in Physics? I don't know I didn't get an A but I loved going to this class. I think Professor Gee is the best instructor I have had yet. I still think about little physics problems daily.
this teacher is weird, my first class i was like what is wrong with him is he ok? or is he normal that way? he is always excited and trust me he knows everyone in the class (400) exams are devastating its ok if you get 60 thats an A. 4 exams and a final HW is exhausting reading quizes suck, other than that its ok class is FUN really he is funny.
This guy is a great teacher. He explains difficult concepts very clearly and won't leave you in the dark. He wants you to succeed and will try hard to keep everybody in the class up to speed. If you do the readings and work hard, your grade will reflect your effort. Homework and reading are worth a lot of your grade, so you can do well in the class
Professor Gee is one of my favorite professors at BYU!The tests are quite hard and the homework assignments are frustrating at times but if you work hard then you definitely can do well and learn tons along the way. He genuinely cares about each students he teaches and he loves what he does which makes it so much better! Take 105 from him!
Awesome teacher! Always trying to help explain things so everyone understands. Tries to make class as easy as possible for everyone. The subject itself is no fun, but he makes it enjoyable.
Dr. Gee really prepares well for each class. He doesn't just lecture and say good luck. He puts forth TONS of opportunity to learn the material. Physics subject is hard, but Dr. Gee makes it really fun and interesting. He is funny and devoted to teaching Physics and helping students learn. One of the best courses I have ever taken!
I cannot say enough good about him. probably the best professor i've had at BYU thus far. He'll lay on a bed of nails while someone hits him in the chest with a hammer to make sure you understand, LITERALLY! never goes on until he's sure you understand. If you must take physics, TAKE IT FROM GEE!
prof gee is incredible. i hated physics with every fiber of my being but he made it so much more tolerable. he gave phenomenal lectures and did a ton of awesome demonstrations. he is very student friendly. go to the ta labs!
Gee is hands down the best science professor (including Chem, Bio, and everything else) at BYU. Ample extra credit and tons of help. Plus, class was really fun. If you have to take 105, take it from him!!!!
He is a such a great teacher. You want to learn the material after leaving his classes. He has in class experiments almost every day during his class. He does a great job explaining all of the material. His TA are great too. He has clicker quizzes over the reading which aren't too hard at all. just do your reading!!!
Professor Gee is one of the most awesome professors i've had at BYU. When he explains things its easy to understand. Class is also really funny and a lot of his jokes help you to remember stuff, it's awesome!! Make sure you go to the review sessions the TA's have and you will do well on the exams. Take this class from him!!
Funny teacher, easy class if you've taken high school physics and/or chemistry.
Professor Gee is the funniest teacher at BYU. He makes lectures fun and entertaining. If you go to class and go to reviews you can get a good grade.
Great Professor who will only teach you what you need to know and make class entertaining in the process... Highly recommended!
Awesome Professor! Concepts are crystal clear after class and he is hilarious in the process! He connect science with the Gospel in amazing ways!
Good fun in class, and clear in his teaching, take him for physical science
Fantastic teacher and person. He's the type of professor that makes class fun and exciting. I never wanted to miss a lecture. He's very smart and one of the nicest professors on the campus. I had surgery during the school year and he offered to give me one-on-one help in his office if I needed it, even though the class is loaded with TAs. He r
Fantastic teacher and person. He's the type of professor that makes class fun and exciting. I never wanted to miss a lecture. He's very smart and one of the nicest professors on the campus. Has a good sense of humor that keeps the class moving along and keeps us awake. Even people who don't like science liked his class. Absolutely amazing teacher!
Professor Gee is the MAN!!!! He really cares about his students, even learning their names in the class of about 300 people. He only teaches what you need to know. You have to read the book to fully understand the concepts, but he will tell you what you need. He makes a boring subject interesting. We need more teachers like him.
Gee has never taught Physical Science until this past year. He was fantastic at it. He tried to learn everyone's name, and really showed interest in the course. He explained the basics of what we needed to know, and was always available when you needed help during his office hours. He uses power point, i clicker and presentations to explain.
Dr. Gee is the man. I pretty much had no interest in physics except that it is a pre-medical requirement. Dr. Gee was able to explain things in a great way that was easy to understand. He pretty much gives you every possibility to succeed besides just giving you the A. He loves what he does and can be seen by how he teaches.
Super cool guy. Pretty difficult class. Going to class is fun though. Use the TA lab!
Is very good at explaining difficult-to-understand concepts. I got near a 100% in the class, and all I did was go to class, lightly skim the reading, do the homework, and take the tests. Good teacher!
Excellent professor. Very fun and interesting in class. He knows his stuff and loves teaching it.
This was a super hard class- probably because I don't love physics. Dr. Gee(k) was a great teacher though. He certainly likes physics. I wasn't fond of the tests. 10 mc math problems, 10 or so conceptual (killer). I ended up doing pretty well in the class because I did all of the homework assignments. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised.
He was a great professor. I absolutely do not like physics, but he was so excited about it I could help but enjoy it as well. The material wasn't difficult just time consuming and lots of repetition of problems will help a lot.
I am definitely not a science person, but Professor Gee kept it interesting and worth coming to class. He is engaging so class seems to go by pretty fast most of the time. Great professor. Just go to a TA lab that you want to because some are definitely more helpful than others.
Piece of Cake class! Excellent Prof!
He is a great teacher. He is hilarious and really tries to help us understand the material. He tries to remember our names when we ask questions. I would recommend taking the class from him.
Professor Gee is the only professor to take Physical Science from. He makes sure to prepare you for the tests (which are done by the apartment) and tries to make class interesting. If you have to take Physical Science, take it from him
Quite simply: The best teacher I have had at BYU, funny, smart, kind, intelligent, clear, entertaining. The class was fun because of him. I didn't enjoy science prior to the class, and he helped me respect it. And getting an A was great as well. TAKE FROM HIM AT ALL COSTS!
Professor Gee is GREAT. His class is organized so that you can do your best, even if you're not great at physics. Very clear cut syllabus and schedule, just do the work and it will be okay. He wants you to have fun and learn. Demonstrations are great. TAs are really helpful. Never scared of going to class, knew I could always ask for help.
Prof. Gee is awesome! He loves doing demonstrations which make things a lot more memorable, and to be quite honest it is a relatively easy class. He will make sure that you are set up to get an "A", and anything less is entirely your fault. Also, he's the man! He cares about students, tests aren't hard, classwork is easy. Take this class.
Dr. Gee is perhaps the best professor I've ever had while at BYU. He is passionate about physics and makes it fun to learn for his students. If you put in the effort, go to TA reviews, and go through the review study guides, there is no reason you shouldn't make an A. There's TONS of extra credit opportunities. Best science GE I've ever had.
While participation isn't mandatory, if you skip all the time it'll hurt your grade. He gives LOADS of extra credit, and the study guides for the test are thorough. You have to study a little, but it is an easy class, and the teacher is hysterical. The class is the BEST for the SCIENCE GE. Take this. Seriously. Do it. I rate it 10 stars.
This class was my favorite! Professor Gee is hilarious and makes his lectures interesting. When the test arrives you feel unprepared, but the TA reviews really help get you ready for the test. I had never taken a physics class before taking this class so I was expecting it to be a challenge, but it really wasn't too bad.
Bro. Gee's lectures are entertaining and enjoyable. He explains difficult concepts in a clear manner, and is always open to answering any of your questions. The TA labs are very helpful and there are many ways to get a good grade in this class, including extra credit. If you need to take a physics credit and enjoy music and speech, this is for you!
Dr. Gee is fun and does a great job teaching. It's an easy GE credit for non-science majors. Go to the labs each week and you get a ton of extra credit. Two short, easy papers, three midterms, and a final. All are manageable. Honestly, you don't really need the textbook. Everything you need to know is from the lectures.
Awesome teacher
Professor Gee is one of my favorite professors I have had at BYU. He keeps class entertaining and fun and the material is super interesting. Awesome class to take for your physics credit.
Dr. Gee is such a funny guy and loves to have fun while teaching. He really tries to make class exciting and often brings in lots of cool demos. Homework is very simple, tests are extremely straightforward, and the extra credit TA labs are a really nice grade boost. Very interesting class
He doesnt put you to sleep at all with his lectures. He knows that he doesnt know it all so he works with us because we know less.
Everyone else complained about their physical science class but it was my favorite class this semester thanks to Dr. Gee. He makes the lectures fun and interactive, he doesn't complicate the material, he tells you what you need to know for the test in a very simple/easy to understand way. Would recommend 10/10 over any other professor.
Amazing teacher! Every class was fun and exciting even if the course material was not terribly exciting. Dr. Gee presents in a fun engaging way that makes clear and easy sense. He is well prepared for each lecture and I wish all of my teachers taught like him. Take PS100 from Dr. Gee!!
SUCH A GOOD TEACHER! He honestly cares about his students and their success. He understands how hard college is and teaches clearly. He does clicker quizzes to make sure we understand and will change the focus of the lecture depending on what we need more help on, which is impressive with such a big class. Also incorporates the gospel into science!
Professor Gee is great! I would recommend him to anyone. He is funny, and he makes the lectures interesting. The material can some times be tricky, but he will literally tell you what is going to be on the test and what won't be. He also has good spiritual insights.
Dr. Gee is my hero.
10/10 recommend taking PS100 from Dr. Gee as a G.E. The class was WAY easy. You read a chapter before each class, but you can retake the online reading quizzes until you get 100%. All other hw gets done in the TA lab, which is once a week. The midterms are MC & 2 essay questions, but you review in class and the practice test preps you pretty well.
Great professor, inspiring, AMAZING classes!!
My favorite class at BYU so far! Professor Gee made this class so interesting and fun to learn every unit, and explained everything as simply as he could. He is so caring towards each of his students. He made lecture so entertaining and connects science and religion in the most beautiful ways! Take this class from him!
Dr. Gee is a great choice for PS 100. He makes the information easy to understand and teaches what you need to know for exams. For every PS class, you read a chapter a night and take a short quiz that you can do up to a 100. Basically, if you do HW, go to lab & study, it's pretty easy to get an A.
All professors follow the same grading criteria and core curriculum for this class. So basically the only thing the professor is good for is preparing you for the tests- honestly feel like the 1 hour TA review before each test was more useful than the collective hours spent in class. Gee is funny though. didn't round up my 89.8 to an A though!
Professor Gee is amazing. He is very passionate about what he teaches and really tries to work the gospel into science which was really cool. The TAs for this class are also great. The quizzes and assignments that we did really helped to study for tests, and it is definitely possible to do well in the class if you put in the time.
Dr. Gee was my favorite professor this semester. He is so kind, funny, and entertaining to listen to. This class isn't too hard, everything is conceptual and once it clicks you'll do great. The TA lab is super helpful and Dr Gee loves to help any student after class, he's also just an amazing man who is very inspiring and uplifting!
Dr. Gee did such a great job making this class enjoyable even though the subject matter isn't really my thing. He changes his lectures according to your feedback on the quizzes that you take before class. You can do well in this class if you do all the homework and go to the reviews.
Kent is literally such a homie!! I went to a couple other Physical science teachers classes when I couldn't make his class and he is definitely the funniest and also teaches the material the clearest. I never read the textbook and easily got an A.
DO THE ONLINE PRACTICE QUIZZES (on the ps100 website, they are not graded and are an additional tool) They are incredibly helpful in preparing for the test and some questions are almost exact. Dont expect to remember everything just by listening to Professor Gees outstanding lectures.
Brother Gee is easily my favorite professor! I have never enjoyed a science class, but this was my favorite. He incorporated the gospel into his lectures, which was the COOLEST! You can tell that he genuinely cares for each of his students, even if he doesn't know you. Plus, he is funny! I felt the Spirit stronger in this class than my BoM class.
Professor Gee is easily the greatest professor to walk the halls of BYU. He explains the material better than anyone else, is hilarious and actually cares about students. His testimony is super strong. He has a couple of great discussions about the gospel, and relates them to physical science. If you go to the TA lab regularly you'll get an A.
Loved this class, even though I generally struggle with sciences. Dr. Gee tells you what you need to know to pass and will help you make it happen. He truly cares about his students and tries to make class as easy and interesting as possible.
Professor Gee is great. The class in general is pretty easy if you put in the time.
Professor Gee wants the students to learn and to pass the class, so it's not designed to break your back. The lectures are pretty funny and interesting, plus he explains things in a way everyone can understand. He always asks for questions to make sure everyone is getting it.
You have to read the entire book, but it isn't that bad. Professor Gee prepared you for the tests the best and he was the best lecturer by far and I was able to sit in lectures for two of the other Physical Science 100 Professors. I found the tests very easy and ended up with an solid A. If you have any background in science at all this class easy.
Dr Gee is amazing. His lectures are hilarious but also incredibly spiritual. He has such a zest for science and life in general, and he tailors his lectures to class needs. He cares about his students and their success, and he'll take your highest scores for your final grade. Do the online practice quizzes and read the book and you'll do fine.
I took Professor Gee's class my first semester at BYU and absolutely loved it. I always said I didn't like science... but this professor made PS my favorite class at BYU. He is funny, no-nonsense, and does NOT waste your time. You NEED to keep up w/the readings and the TA lab is your best friend!! Effort is required, but this professor makes it fun
Professor Gee is one of the best professors I have had. He genuinely cares about his students' success and lectures with direct correlation to will show up on the test. For all PS100 classes you just have to read the book and take the online quizzes (on the PS100 website) to do well on the test as many questions comes word for word. HE IS THE BEST!
Dr. Gee is such a funny professor! He is great at explaining content on a level for anyone to understand. The grading criteria is clear and there is a good balance of homework and tests.
Prof. Gee is incredible! This class can be difficult, but Gee makes sure to help you understand the material you need to know for tests. He also does spiritual discussions that relate to what we've been learning in class on test days. Lots of fun experiments! Homework isn't too bad, just some reading and answering questions.
I am definitely not a science student but Dr. Gee was a pretty good professor. There is a reading quiz due every class period as well as classwork to do each class period. About one test per month as well. He really tied the gospel into lectures which were really awesome!
He's a really good professor that makes the hard stuff seem easy.
Professor Gee was an incredible teacher. Almost reconsidered my major choice because he was so incredible.
Dr. Gee is a really funny and nice guy. The class requires a fair amount of reading and work every week, but the tests were doable. The lectures didn't help much, and we had to do group work that wasn't effective over Zoom. Other than that, this class wasn't bad and Dr. Gee definitely tried to make it as interesting as possible.
So many people that I know HATED physical science, but they did not take it from Kent Gee. He turned a class that people hate into a class that was fun and not nearly as stressful as expected. He truly wants his students to enjoy learning about science, and he is able to apply the principles that he teaches into things outside of physical science.
I procrastinated taking this class until my junior year and was dreading taking it, but Gee made it bearable and almost enjoyable. The class itself was a lot of work, but it's set up for you to succeed if you put in effort. TAs are your best friend. Tests are hard, but Gee did a good job of explaining difficult material. Lawler is great too!!
He was hilarious and really designed his class so if you showed up, paid attention and did the homework you got a good grade. Easy to pay attention because he is an entertaining guy and really opened my eyes by connecting scientific principals to the real world. 10/10 recommend.
I LOVED THIS CLASS!!!!!!!!! He understood that a lot of kids take it solely for the GE and made it interesting but not too hard. There was reading but you could just skim the chapter and take notes in class because he only lectured about what was important. Excellent at answering questions and guiding the class. Super funny and genuine guy.
Took this as a blended class. My advice: get ahead on readings and lessons. Lectures aren't mandatory with the online format, but he does go over the classwork during them so that's helpful, plus he's really funny. Use the PS100 website to help review for exams(your TA can help you find this). Study lesson questions for exams.
Dr. Gee is passionate for science and the gospel. He loves helping students understand the material. He's hilarious. Lectures were optional but I enjoyed them and they helped for the classwork. Reading the entire textbook is required for full credit each week which took a lot of time. Some concepts were hard to learn but tests were pretty easy.
Good class. Easy if you put in minimal effort
Great teacher. Really made a commonly hated class truly enjoyable.
Probably my favorite professor so far! He was super funny but always respectful of everyone. He made learning the material more fun. He was pretty lenient when it comes to testing and grading but not too lenient. He had a clear grading criteria and helped in every way he could.
Such a good class! Very doable, just keep up with your work and it's not bad at all. I loved taking this from Gee, even though I don't love science-he is hilarious and makes it so interesting! Very applicable to life, I find myself thinking about the physics or chemistry behind things all the time now! Take this from Gee!
I'm so glad I took from Prof Gee. From what I've heard, he's the best to take Phy S 100 from. He's super enthusiastic about what he's teaching, which made it way easier for this night owl to be in class at 9am. I'm not a huge science fan, but I had a lot of fun! If you read the textbook, do the homework, and participate in class, you'll do great.
THE BEST. He understands the class is a general and the workload is super manageable. With him and the TAs anyone can get an A. If you can feel the spirit in a science class you know you've got a good one. Take this class from Prof Gee if at all possible.
I don't normally rate my teachers, but Professor Gee is a real gem! I'm not great at science but he is so passionate and energetic about everything that I couldn't help but fall in love with physical science. He is so caring and relates the topics to the gospel in the sweetest way. I absolutely loved him and it was by far my favorite class.
Hes a funny guy but a terrible teacher, I felt like I learned nothing in the classroom and I had to reach out to outside sources to understand anything. Lots of people say its easy, but its not. Not recommended
Professor Gee is the best! He cares for his students and is really funny. Just get ready to read about a chapter and take a quiz on it every other night. Overall test can be hard, but just read the chapter, do the lessons, and ask people for help (TAs).
Dr. Gee is awesome! I loved going to class just to see his demos and hear him explain concepts, they helped me learn so much more than the textbook provides. Make sure to keep up with the reading and assignments, theyre not hard at all and will really help your grade. Also lets you take in a full sheet of notes for tests which is super nice.
I liked Professor Gee, I just was bothered that he started each class with "I don't know a lot about this subject." It made me lack faith in him. However, he is super likeable and relates the gospel to class frequently.
Gee is THE one to take this class from. I was just here for the credit so I could graduate. He made the class so much more understandable and way easier. I loved him!
This class is a flipped classroom so you do a lot of the work at home, which can be hard. However, Dr Gee is the best professor I've had at BYU so far. He really cares about your success and you can tell that he knows what he is talking about. He is passionate about his job and about helping students. If you do the readings you'll be set!!
Professor Gee is fabulous. He approaches his class with so much enthusiasm and energy. This course covers alot of content ground, but is structured in a way that makes it entirely possible. My only complaint was the Testing-Center hosted exam after unit, but they could have been alot worse.
PS100 is difficult but if you are going to take it from someone at BYU, take it from Dr. Gee. He makes the class fun and bearable. The classes are large for PS100 because it is a GE; however, he makes it feel like a small class. I highly recommend his as a professor. The class kind of sucks but it is not his fault. He tells you what is on the final
I hate Physical Science, but Gee was great. He's a great lecturer and his TAs are really helpful. Tests are manageable. Helpful tip for your final -- do the practice test!! A lot of the questions were the same.
Professor Gee is knowledgeable and really cares about his students. He does what he can to ensure you succeed in his class and it works. You still will have a decent amount of work to do as in all PHY S 100 classes, but Professor Gee makes it a great time.
Dr. Gee is a very funny man and he cares about his students. The problem is that he doesn't choose the material for his tests and the class itself is a ton of unnecessary homework. I did not get a lot out of most of his lectures either. If you're fine with taking two classes for this GE and don't like science, take one of the other options.
Prof Gee gives really good lectures and welcomes a lot questions. Each lab is taught by a TA where you do a weekly article and lab. I never read the devotionals but always got a good grade on the article assignments bc the TA always told us exactly what to write. The last few tests and the final were pretty hard.
Dr. Gee was a great professor. I am not a science person at all, but Dr. Gee made it accessible and fun during this class. The lectures are super helpful. The toughest parts of this class were the tests and the constant homework, but it's totally possible to do well in the class without killing yourself, which was really nice.
Prof Gee is awesome. Takes boring science topics and integrates them with interesting gospel topics. I seriously learned so much. He is super good at being specific at what is exactly on the exams. Such a nice dude who just genuinely wants to do good in this world. Much respect.
I am not science oriented and sometimes it's hard for my to understand. The homework and classwork is super easy, but the tests can be kind of hard. We were supposed to do reading from the textbook and apply what we learned to our homework but I didn't and I was fine. This will be an easy class for you if you consider yourself decently smart.
There was a decent amount of reading but I mostly studied using the TA review slides and I got A's and B's on all the tests. There's no essays in this class, just a few short writing assignments every once in a while (like a paragraph).
Great professor but this class is managed by the department so class isn't really his own. Be aware there are 4 midterm tests and a final that's comprehensive. The homework is easy to get a good grade on since it's submitted multiple times. No extra credit is offered. If science isn't your thing get ready to work. Go to the TA labs!!
If you just do what you are supposed to, you can easily pass this class. Dr. Gee is very kind and great at explaining things. I love that he ties science into the gospel. He tells you what concepts will be on the test. The course itself has so many resources to help you succeed. There are TA's, videos, practice questions, review room, etc.
THIS IS THE BEST PROFESSOR AT BYU. Take this man if you can, if not, you are missing out. One day he jumped up on the table..
