Presentation of the material needs work but if you pay attention you'll do well on the tests. The essay assignments are a snap.

He is a very helpful teacher that has well presented lectures. If you pay attention to him during class and read the book you will have an Easy A.

All you do is coming to class regularly, listen to his lecture. You will get A in the test for sure, his writing assignments are just a snap.

If you read the chapters, come to class every so often, and do the papers the best u can you should do fine. He is very informative and tries to make the class as fun as possible. Don't worry about the tests either, they are quite easy.

This class is hideously easy. He is the world's easiest grader when it comes to papers. I put a paper together in 20 minutes and got a 95%. As far as tests go you may need to study but he gives very thorough review sessions.

U can't skip class or you will miss information that shows up on the exams. 3 Multiple-guess exams and 4 short papers. Huffman is very interesting. This was a very interesting class. I loved the art we studied, especially the painting. The teacher did a great job of explaining what was most important for you to remember, but there is an auful lot of material in the book that he does not talk about in class. The review sheets he gives out before each exam are very helpful, but very detailed

He have sense of humor while teaching thats make people learn. Love the art works. in class their were only 4 papers and you can get all the points by have all the answers to the question. He's not looing for quantity but for quality. The test wasnt too hard + their were extra credit stuff for u to do also. Bottom line TAKE HIS CLASS IF U NEED HUMT

I took this class in the summer, and I was not real interested in the subject. But Huffman made the class interesting. Just be sure to read the book and take good notes in class. BEST HUMANITIES TEACHER EVER. THERE IS A LOT OF READING BUT IF YOU PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS YOU CAN PASS W/OUT READING A SINGLE STORY. HE GIVES REALLY INTERESTING LECTURES. GREAT LECTURES EVEN IF YOUR NOT INTERESTED IN SUBJECT.

i had him for both humanities classes. He is sooo easy and pretty funny too. He makes jokes about his wife. over all he is just a good teacher that doesn't annoy you like most of the other COD teachers.

I did not really want to take a humanities course, but I had to. Huffman made the class interesting--you did not mind coming to class because he is funny and makes the boring material in the book more interesting in his lectures. If you have to take humanities, take Dr Huffman. He at least makes it interesting. And he's not too hard.

He is a great professor, he is very straight-forward and helpful, really cares about every student, textbook and reading can be a bit difficult but do the work and it is an easy good grade, lectures can get a little boring but he is very clear and has a good sense of humor, i would most certainly recommend this professor to any student!

If you like reading mythology, take this class! You won't regret it. Huffman is enthusiastic and makes goofy jokes, which makes the atmosphere of the class really fun. He's helpful too - sometimes he even gives hints on quizzes if you ask!

Best teacher so far at COD. Extremely organized! He is very clear with the assignments! There is a lot of work, but he gives you more than enough time to do it and you learn so much about the material because of the assignments. The midterm and final are fair and he makes learning the material enjoyable. Almost the entire class stayed 'til the end

I only took this course because I had to have a humanities course to transfer. I thought it would be pretty boring, but Huffman made the course interesting. It was my favorite class last semester. You do have to read the textbook and the extra readings on Blackboard or you flunk the reading quizzes. But the quizzes & exams are not hard.

Best professor ever. Very nice, funny, and helpful. He explains everything really clearly, and there is no way you can fall asleep in his class. I would recommend him to everyone who needs to take humanities 1101. This class is not easy, but is fun. The the Mid terms are really easy and reading is a pain, but that is why is a humanities class.

I took humanities with Professor Huffman, and it was definitely not an easy class. But he did a very good job of thoroughly covering the information. His lectures were incredible interesting and very informative...but you have to pay attention and take good notes. But as long as you do that, you'll enjoy the class. Kent is a really fun teacher to have; he is always making jokes (sometimes really bad ones) and he is really into what he is teaching. He is very clear about what will be on exams and he's lenient with attendance but his lectures are important so don't miss them. If you do the homework and go to class you will easily get an A

This class isn't easy. His tests/quizzes have tricky questions and you have to know your stuff. Go through his study guide way in advance before a test. He explains things well but you should pay attention to details.His slides can be kind of wordy, so just copy down important stuff.

Mr. Huffman is awesome. Plain and simple. He cares about the students and the subject matter. Always tries to crack a joke and lighten the mood. Make sure you pay attention in class though because he'll call on you for an answer when you're not expecting it.

Kent is outstanding as a prof. He assigns some really hard readings, but he always explains them in class. The classroom is very relaxed, and if you don't know the answer to a question he asks you, he does not embarrass you or make you feel stupid if you can't answer it. Mr. H is a great professor. Really knows what he is talking about, and not boring to listen to during a lecture. Flexible with assignments, just as long as you do them as instructed. He is funny, though sometimes some of his jokes go over many students heads; though he always got a chuckle out of me. Highly recommended!

I'm currently in his online Mythology course and I think he's a great teacher. He gives constructive criticism and theres PLENTY of time to get your work done. The readings are also very interesting as well. I would recommend him to anyone :)

He's a fun guy, his essays suck but his tests are very easy and even gives you a study guide not very many professors do that. Before the class I had zero interest in art and I can easily say that he has taught me to many things about art and I've learned to appreciate it on some level.

Very nice professor. Hes lectures were always very interesting plus he has a great sense of humor. Basically 3 test 3 essays 10 quizzes which are very straight forward no extra credit but all you have to do is be there everyday and you'll pass with no problem. TAKE HIM!

Amazing teacher!!! You only have 3 tests, 3 essays, and he takes the 10 highest scored quizzes from the 16 you take online. Very funny teacher, some lectures can be boring. This is a class that you should have np passing. I did not try in this class, so that is why I got a C.

One of the best teachers I've taken at COD. I don't really think the book is mandatory since everything is online and on blackboard. I was never that interested in humanities and failed the first exam but I still came out with an A. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend him! You don't even have to go to the art institute to get a A on the project. Great humor!

If you truly dedicate yourself to the material, you'll easily get an A. The way to study in this class: Read all the blackboard materials, go through all the powerpoints. Only go in the book to write down information related to your study guide. Tests are open notes.

Mr. Huffman is a delight, he is one of my favorite instructors at COD. He loves to make jokes and he seems to really enjoy teaching. We had 3-4 papers, and about the same number of tests. A lot of very easy reading quizzes, He grades a little harsher than I expected but when I spoke to him about a paper he listened and fixed the grade. Take him!

4 discussion board posts (essays) on BB from the 4 units (800+ words each). Textbook needed 100%. Have to read about 30+ pages from chapters for the 12 quizzes, so it's a good idea to take notes! 2 exams, 1 final. I really enjoyed this class overall. He's super nice. He really knows a lot about humanities. He definitely tries to get you engaged. He's funny too. Lectures can be tough sometimes but it's just the material can be dull. Power points. You need the textbook and should read it for quizzestests. Weekly online quizzes and 3 or so tests. I enjoyed his class, I'd take him again.

Prof Huffman really knows his stuff. Although the lectures are really long, he makes whatever he is teaching interesting whether it be through his humor, kindness, or willingness to answer any question. He's a jolly old guy, sometimes slow, but definitely enjoyable! Every class he'll have a slide show and lecture which you really should take notes on. The good part is that he goes over exactly what you read, so reading from the book isn't SUPER necessary, but plays and stories really need to be read. Gives good grades if you prove you want them.

You can basically choose between just taking notes during lectures or actually reading. Both are very interesting though so time goes by fast! He's absolutely hilarious and makes the class fun. Quizzes are on blackboard and you have a time limit, but 30 minutes is usually enough if you have notes andor read. Take this class with him!

Kent is a jolly ole fellow who always has a smile on his face. He is hilarious and he really tries to keep the class active. If you show up for attendance then leave... you are still counted as present for the day! All of his quizzes are online and he drops 5 of them! He goes over the test question by question the day before the exam! MUST TAKE

He's always very nice, and he is fun to banter with. He'll leave you alone if you want to be, and says you can always pass on a question. Quizzes are online and you can definitely google the answers; not that you'd need to since you do not need the book since everything is covered in class. Tests are open-note so definitely take advantage of that.

Gotta love Prof Huffman! My older brother convinced me to take this class because he had already taken it. So glad I listened because he's FORSURE one of the coolest teachers I've ever had. Absolutely hilarious guy. Was late the first day of class and told me I could either dance myself to my seat or be beaten with my own arm.

Kent makes the class very easy to get by. You have to read the material to understand the following lecture, but they are pretty interesting some times. He is very funny, some times corny but you get a good laugh out of it because of his personality. Glad I took this class instead of regular humanities.

Overall I was fascinated with his lectures. There's a field trip you have to do where you go to the art museum to pick out a piece to talk about which can be inconvenient. Otherwise as long as you take good notes you should be able to get a good grade.
