Mr. Yamauchi is by far one of my most memorable professors at PCC. He's funny and keeps the class alive all the way to the end. In the Summer class I had with him no one dropped. Great professor, I really miss his classes.

Mr. Yamauchi is very nice and funny but to be honest his class is easy as hell, and I don't feel I'm much more informed about psychology. He tells jokes to keep you awake but after a while even those don't work. Hmm. Must be the subject.

When I took Dr. Y's course, which was during the Summer 2003 intersession, I thought he was WAY too easy; however, I am amazed that I still remember a large amount of what I learned in his class. Now I realize that he only made it seem easy, but not at the cost of learning. He is great!!!

I enjoyed being in Dr. Kent. Even though his test are very hard I really learned a alot about pyschology. Dr. Kent made it easy to understand and very clear. What made it easy for me to understand his lecture is how he put it into everyday life and always had joke to go along with his lecture.

Absolutely the best teacher I've ever had the pleasure of taking at PCC. Dr. Kent understands his students. Lectures are entertaining and enlightening. Gives the easiest quizes and offers copious amounts of extra credit opportunities. Tests are easy (he tells you what's going to be on the test... jeezus). He's also very easy to contact and talk to.

AWESOME PROFESSOR, really loves teaching. Funny guy, love the little notes on his test. Tests were pretty easy as long as you pay attention in class. Do all of your extra credits and you should be fine. Reading the books helps too

I was totally bummed to have received a B+ in this class since I've received A's in even harder Psych classes. But I contribute the B+ to it being an ITV class, not the teacher. He has a great attitude and is clear/concise in his teachings. But with an ITV class, you have limited lecture and I think that hurt me. His tests are not easy either.

Great teacher who is straight forward but cool at the same time. 2 exams and about 6% ec oppurtunities. He has a great sense of humor to keep you awake and has stories from his USC days that make you laugh. Class chill but at times can get boring, but he still makes it worthwhile. WATCH the vidoes, they compromise about 30% of test

Great professor! Though, I rcvd. a "D" in class, I still consider him a great teacher. I plan to re-take his class inorder to improve on my letter grade. Highly, recommended.

He is a fun teacher, not too hard. His test are straight from his lectures and he gives you a study guide before the test. His multiple choice questions are tricky, but not so hard. I would highly recommend him.

ITV course during the winter was easy. You really need to watch the DVDs and read the book. Highly Recommanded if you need to work and can't attend a regular class.

Dr. Kent is a great professor. He plays music during the breaks to make his students feel at ease. You need to read the text and watch the videos in order to pass. He allows a crip sheet during exams....Doesnt assigns any homework.....

I took the telecourse with him, so there was a lot of independent study involved. In order to pass, watch the DVD, take notes while watching to reinforce what you are learning. I waited until he told us exactly what sections of the chapters he was going to test us on and then only read those specific sections, taking notes, etc. I recommend!

Wonderful Teacher!!!! Easy class. The tests are hard but with all the extra credit , quizzes and journals this is an easy A. I did not study or even do the reading for the final and still got a 95% for the class. He is also a passionate teacher and really cares.

I completely recommend this class. though his tests are really intense and require a lot of studying, i would (and am going to) take another one of his classes. he is very passionate about psychology and when he speaks it makes you want to pay attention and learn. he is very approachable too, so if you have questions, its very easy to talk to him.

i took his telecourse, and wish i hadn't not because it was hard because he's such an interesting teacher that i wanted to go to class every week instead of every 3 weeks. All quizzes were extra credit and Midterm and Final were easy IF you studied for them! SUCH A GOOD TEACHER, very funny and makes topics interesting! im taking him for PSYCH 1!

Fantastic class, fantastic professor. It's the first course I've taken where the professor actually cares about the student's well-being. I took ITV and it was great. Gives you study guides and you can take a crib sheet to class. You have to prepare, but with extra credit and straight-forward tests, an A is easily doable. HIGHLY recommend!

He was very helpful and always kept the lectures informative and interesting. Always trying to make the subject fun and keep your attention. You can really tell he loves what he does and in turn you end up loving it.

He's one of the greatest & most charismatic professors on campus. He's very organized in his lectures and provides resources from outside of the text. I don't want to beat a dead horse and mention everything that everybody has said already. I just want to add the fact that Yamauchi will still help you even after you are done with his class.

2 exams, 5 quizzes(extra credits). You can even bring a postcard size crib sheet for the exams. Differently need to study before the tests. He mainly tests you the application rather than definition. I studied two days for both exams and got an A!

Easy A. He will tell you what sections you need to know for the exam, I only read those sections and got an A in the class. He makes us laugh but since the class was at night I just want to go home instead of hearing him joke with us. Overall I like the professor I just wish I weren't so busy to enjoy his sense of humor.

Took professor Yamauchi this summer his great, his classes are very fun not boring, quizzes are based on vocabulary words and his test are multiple choice. He gives u the highlights on what u have to read for the test. His summer classes are intense but it's worth it. Take him for sure no regrets.

Funny and interesting, he has a few good jokes and likes if you're a nursing major. He's very generous with grades and gave us a lot of candy. Very kind man.

Tests are somewhat easy, but he goes in depth as well. So make sure to do outlines and study them. I got an A! (BTW, this class actually changed my life, so I'm thankful for that.)

Very straight forward class. Don't think that because it only meets every 3weeks that you don't have to keep up with reading. Knowledgable professor, wish we could have seen him more often. He gives lots of chances for extra credit so there is no excuse for a bad grade unless you don't study.

Very wonderful teacher, however I felt he was disconnected from his students just a little bit. He doesn't seem to interested when students ask him questions. He is not big on participation. however, the material was very interesting, and he told a lot of jokes. The tests are moderate, but you need to study.

He doesn't really encourage class discussions and he lectures the whole time, but the material is interesting. 10 question quiz every week (matching) very easy way to improve your grade. You definitely have to put in effort to receive an A in Professor Yamauchi's class. You have to read the book to do well in his class because he doesn't explain everything. He was a really affective Psychology teacher, and I would definitely take all my psych classes with him! However, he is retiring! Great teacher! TAKE HIM!
