She is the best teacher I've ever had and for such a hard class (esp, for the summer!), she made it possible to get a good grade. She's incredibly helpful and always available for questions or clarification. I fully recommend her and only her for this class! I also plan to take her for Physiology. She's an awesome teacher!

Keri makes a hard class seem easy. She makes sure that you understand the information and is always willing to help if you don't. I highly recommend her. Her classes fill up quick but she always tries to add everyone that tries to add.

Study your objectives and you'll do fine. The last test seemed to be the hardest for me. The lab test are VERY easy. Ask questions and study everyday, you don't want to get behind in this class. Hard class but I did it with Micro and got an A. Keri makes the class fun and bearable!!

She is AWSOME! Had her for both bio4 and 6. Alot of work in 6 but she made it easy to follow, stay on top of work, impossible to cram. Recommend her to any and every person. Wish she taught every class I have to take.

Keri takes the time to answer every question asked, ensuring understanding.She is meticulous but if you study you'll get it.By far one of the only teachers that utilizes all four learning styles. She has a funny quirk as well, she always says,"M-Kay" like the teacher in southpark, cracks me up.

Totally an awesome teacher! So funny in her excitement for science! She does tend to rush through her power point lectures, but they are posted on blackboard. If you do Bio 56 make sure you take the lab it will help with the whole learning process. And guys she’s pretty hot in that whole nerdy, teacher kinda way!

Great teacher, reminds me of the scientist in the movie "The Saint" she gets gitty about science its funny. Does everything threw blackboard. Don't bother taking notes just print out the power points from blackboard. Class can be boring at times, but what class isn't. Some homework, some little quizzes 4-5 tests. Take her lab too.

Great teacher! She has a love for biology and it shows. Powerpoints are posted every week so taking notes and studying for exams is easy. She also lets you have a 3x5 index card, which is a nice little treat since there is so much to know. I also recommend taking her lab!!

She is an awesome professor and makes science interesting because of her excitement for it! She is willing to work with you and helps you in studying for tests! The class can be a bit hard so be prepared to study but you learn sooo much and she posts all of her lectures up and you can use notes on tests. Her lab class is great too! Helps in class!

I took her bio 56 class, for non science majors, don't go into the class expecting an easy A, it's a LOT of studing, her tests are hard, and theres a lot of reading...she's very clear and very organized. she's a great teacher just make sure to read! and come to class every time...hardly ever homework and not much in class work either. labs are toug

Keri is a great professor! This is a hard class, IMO, the hardest of Bio 5, 6 and 4. Those who complain just don't know how to study or are not commited to their major. Keri does a great job of explaining the material and being straight forward. The tests are super hard and you can't just memorize the material, you have to understand it!

Keri is bright, organized, professional, and enthusiastic about teaching. She treats students w/ respect and expects them to earn their grades. That being said, if your goal is to skate thru and receive an A, forget it. Put in the necessary time to truly understand the material and you will find Keri is challenging and fair. I took her class and it was great!!! She is awesome. I put in the work (and a little extra), and got a good grade accordingly. I studied hard for the tests, did all the homework and still had lots of free time. If you need a Bio class you'd be crazy not to take Keri....

Keri is a good teacher. She knows the subject matter, is very organized, and very friendly. Her tests are hard, but fair. But... her lectures are very boring and hard to stay awake through. She doesn't have a good technique for making things interesting - rather, she plows ahead, just like she is a textbook. But she is nice, and approachable.

In Sierra you dont have much choice, take her if you can register. Lectures are from the book, tests arent so hard. However, some teachers do better job at helping to organize knowledge to make it easier to learn and know, not just to pass the class.

Online class. Really organized, both lectures and blackboard. Lectures are easy to read, and short. Exams are fair, if you read book and lecture, you should be able to do it. Discussion board is pretty easy. Nice class

Keri is a wonderful professor. She is extremely helpful, fair, and straightforward. If you use the lecture objectives to study for exams, and put in the extra time in lab, you can get an A in this class. Keri will help a lot, but it's really up to you.

Very detailed DB questions are mandatory, and test questions are directly from the reading. The book was fairly inexpensive (4 dollars on Amazon). The teacher is very nice, my computer crapped out and she let me reset my test w/out coming into school. An A is very doable :)

I took bio 5 and 6 with Kerri! All I have to say is what YOU put into the class is what YOU will get out of it! I honestly work FULL TIME and have other responsibilities but put the work into the class and got 95% in both classes! Kerri is very approachable and her tests are straight forward! Just study!

Hybrid course.Nice lady.Annoying voice. Deplorable videos with no editing so you get burps (excuse me!) and sneezes and erroneous wording (it gets corrected after said but that's what vid editing is for),terrible considering the lecture is done online thru vids.Like any bio, easy and a fcn of how well you memorize a considerable amt of material

Great professor. Hybrid class with online lectures and in class labs. Online lectures were a bit dry but straightforward. She is always available to answer questions. Lecture Tests are challenging, especially the last test Lab tests are fairly straightforward and easier. Great at explaining materials. Summer class was challenging but doable.

Took the hybrid option and highly recommend it (exactly the same thing as in person, but with a pause button, and you can go back to them whenever). Lectures are very clear and are exactly what you need to know; no surprises. Both lecture and lab exams are straight forward, but KNOW EACH LAB MODEL WELL. Very compassionate and helpful.

Hybrid BIO 6 class (one lab per week). Crystal clear lecturer (online lectures help; can pause whenever). Quizzeslecture exams very easy and multiple choice. No tricks; you either know it or you don't, and everything you need to know is in her outline. Labs fun and easy. Follow study guides for easy lab exams (half m.c. and writing). Very caring.

Keri is very nice as a person and instructor. I would recommend her. Her hybrid class was fun, and easy to follow. Obviously, you have to study in order to get a good grade. Labs were interesting, but you have to prepare for the following lab. Give yourself time for studying. Don't study all material in one day. I've got high A.

You have to be ready to study, but there isn't anyone better to take the class with. Be mindful that there are only a few tests which means there is TONS of info on each test. She is awesome, and the best bio professor Sierra has, always willing to make time for students who ask, and is very clear/straightforward, no trick questions

Professor Muma is a really good teacher. She is very clear in her explanations of difficult concepts. The anatomy class is 4 Lecture and 4 Lab exams and on the same day first lecture multiple choice 75 question then the from model lab one. Its is very doable and enjoyable class. Consider taking her for your teacher especially physiology.

Keri is an excellent person and teacher. She is always available to talk outside of class. I wouldn't, however, suggest taking the hybrid class. It's nice if you need an open schedule, but thats about it. Learning from videos can be hard, but go in and ask Keri about the concepts and she will explain them. I would choose in class over hybrid.

very positive/ sweet! being in class one day a week has been very hard with the hybrid class. for lab exams: know the lab review she posts inside and out and your guaranteed an A. For lecture exams: these are much harder, start studying weeks in advance, figure out the best way to repeat the info over and over. USE THE TUTORING CENTER! lifesavers!

Keri is an amazing professor! She explains things so well and is very understanding. There was some extra credit here and there. Anatomy is a tough class but Keri makes it enjoyable! She's very approachable and funny. She didn't give any homework for the semester so you can focus more and have more time to study the lecture and lab. There are only 4 test so get ready to study a lot!!! The class was fun and interesting.

Professor Muma is one of the best BIO professors at Sierra hands down. She is willing to help you in any way she can. Her syllabus is true throughout the semester. She is caring and passionate about biology. I would take her class over for sure! She is an awesome teacher, definitely making a difference!

Last summer I took physiology with Keri. She is super easy to talk to and gives good advise on how to do better. She helped me with ways on how to study for exams. She is excellent when it comes to communicating with students via regular convas announcements. Extremely organized with materials, lectures and day to day agendas.

Anatomy itself is a really tough class, so if you are not willing to dedicate yourself to reading and studying alot, this class is not for you! Keri cares about you understanding the material and doing well in class and does whatever she can to make you succeed, but if you dont try hard and don't put in their own efforts, you likely wont pass

Keri is a great teacher! Her online lectures have a lot of good info that comes into play at the lecture exams. There are four lecture exams and two lab exams. Study every week and do not fall behind. The professor wants you to do well. If you need help ASK FOR IT. She will help you!

I LOVED her class. I was so afraid of going into anatomy but she made this class doable for me. I studied a lot so this is nowhere near your easy A so get prepared to work. There are 6 big exams with a lab quiz after every lab and a lecture quiz here and there and they're all easy as long as you study your models and know your material.

Had her for anatomy; loved her so much I came back for Physio. Had hybrid both times & love her lecture outlines & study objectives which makes it clear what she expects u to know. She's enthusiastic about human biology & teaching. Bio5 was the hardest class I've ever taken due to volume of material but she gives u everything u need to succeed.

This class is not easy but she gives you every opportunity to succeed. Shes the dream professor; you can get so much out of this class and you will get an A if you put in the study time. Only tests on what was in lecture. 4 lecture exams, 2 lab exams. 1 or 2 homework assignments. Weekly quizzes. I didnt use the textbook. I took the hybrid class.

Prof. Muma was my Bio5X tutor but she spent more time with me than my lecture professor. After getting a C+ in my first exam i approached Prof. Muma any chance I could get with her for study technique advice to explaining lectures to correcting my answered study review questions. I got an A in anatomy because she always had time for me. Thank you!!

Teacher makes class very transparent and easy to follow. Keri is always available and willing to give any help needed if you reach out. The online summer course was definitely doable. 6 Units with each unit having a lab and lecture exam. Making it 12 exams total. Keri offers 2 pts extra credit on each test and would periodically offer extra credit.

Keri was amazing!! You have 6 lab tests and 6 lectures for a total of 12. She has amazing lectures and goes over her labs throughly. With the online and all the craziness.. Keri did amazing with handling it and got grades back in a reasonable time. Quizzes are basically the lab and you will have a bunch of anatomy pictures from virtual anatomy.

I took Anatomy Spring 2021 online. Lots of memorization so get your brain ready. Online lab is SO much easier than in-person, you just memorize labeled pictures. Lecture exams come from her lectures & the questions come straight from her lecture objectives. She gives extra credit on both lab and lecture exams. Never got below a 94 on a test.

Anatomy is a hard class period. However Keri makes it doable, she truly wants you to succeed and is always available via email. She held a 1 hour zoom session once a week to review material. She also adds in a lot of physio to this course which will really help you once you get to bio 6! Wish I could've also had her for physio

I had Muma for Anatomy in the Fall 2021 semester so it was a fully online course. She was amazing! Her lectures are clear and easy to follow. She gives extra credit on her lab and lecture exams. She also made drop-in zoom sessions a couple times a week for review and her study guides were exactly the test. Definitely take her if you can!!!

Anatomy is a hard class, although Keri makes it approachable. She wants students to succeed. There were a lot of points in the class. The exams are straightforward and have extra credit questions. As you keep up with homework and studying, you should be okay.

She's the best. I took her for anatomy it was a hybrid class and she had the best pictures for studying. She does have a lot of quizzes but everything is in the book so you can just find it that way. Anatomy is hard, but she is fair and caring so the only obstacle that you'll have in her class is the course itself.

I took her hybrid class during fall 2022 and she makes anatomy so much easier. Her lectures can be a bit long. During lab she would make sure to explain everything if we didn't watch the pre-lab videos before lab so nobody would be confused. She cares about her students and will answer any questions you have. She has extra credit on her exams.

I'm being so for real, if you get a bad grade on a test, the only person you can blame is yourself. Muma is genuinely such a great teacher who literally gives you all the resources to succeed in this class! Just know that this course is very material heavy, and you should expect to be spending a decent amount of time on studying.

Professor Keri is an amazing instructor and is very clear and explanatory in her teaching. Her class requires a lot of study hours outside of class time but not many assignments. She offers extra credit on exams. She is very kind and understanding.

Took her last sem, amazing! I initially came in extremely worried about not doing well in the class, but she makes it easy for you to get an A+ on every test. Take her practice exams a couple times before a test and you're set. I've never had an issue with her and anatomy ended up being my absolute favorite class because of Muma :))

I took her last semester. She's a great instructor and is always willing to help. The lab manual, lectures, and quizzes explain the content very well. Although her lectures are long, she will ensure you can understand the course material. The practice tests are a must-do because most of the time the questions show up on exam day.

Good professor which goes in depth into the details, however do not take her anatomy or physiology classes if you have full time work outside of this class you will most likely not pass. She is pretty accessible and nice but really wants you to earn your grade by testing your knowledge in depth on her unit exams. Lots of online lectures.

Prof. Muma is amazing! I had to drop for other reasons, but I wish I could have stayed in her class. She's so kind and truly cares about how you are doing. Very accessible outside of class, she quickly responds to messages and will help you one-on-one. She always encourages students to do their best. I highly recommend her for any of her classes.

I would highly recommend professor Muma, when I struggled she offered so many days I can come in and get help, and I was able to stay as long as I needed. She wants all her students to succeed and will do her best to help everyone. This was a hard class but she set everyone up for success with all her videos and practice exams!

She makes it passable for those who are entering other medical fields .she gives examples of how she ask questions on test, her take home work for lectures are called CFU (checking for understanding) worth 25 extra points LOOK FOR ALL THE EXTRA POINTS SHE GIVES OUT, AND SHOW UP TO CLASS AND YOU WILL PASS. I'm so glad i took her, now i can move on.

There's tons of information but she goes over everything in lecture and our discussions in person. An A as a grade is definitely achievable if you know your study habits and don't wait till last minute.

8 week physiology is very time consuming and can get complex, but I honestly couldn't have asked for a better professor. She is very personable and provides all of the resources you need to succeed. This class felt very laid back and was a great environment to learn in! I would recommend this professor to anyone in a heartbeat.

Prof Muma was the sweetest prof I've ever had. She wants you to succeed so she offers plenty of extra credit. Exams are pretty easy if you study. Her online lectures were kind of tough since they're older but just watch on 1.5X Minimal homework but lectures take up time! Labs are tedious but fun. The person on the bottom clearly didn't use their time wisely and study for this class. They didn't pay attention and didn't ask for help. She goes over everything and will help give you ways to succeed in this course. She helps you understand how you can memorize names and lets you study. I highly recommend her.
