Just do all the work and you'll be A okay!
Inspirational, interesting, open and challenging. She is a refreshing presence at UCF. She challenges your views and at the same time, she is open to be challenged. My learning experience in contemporary art had many levels: looking at art, reading about different issues in contemporary art, writing, talking about it, and reflecting on it. Awesome
Going to class did help, but wasn't really mandatory. As long as you read the chapters and the PowerPoints (and took the practice quizzes, available if you bought the book through Pearson's MyArtsLab) then you should do fine. Was able to use 4th edition textbook for class.
Quizes are based off lectures and textbook(more on text) so prepare to do a lot of reading. Good teacher, and her class was easy overall. She is open to peoples opinions and is good at explaining and clarifying
I had this class online and it was very easy! Super easy A, all you need to do is actually read the chapters and write notes for it. The tests come word for word out of the textbook. She was really organized and I would definitely take her again.
Dr. Watson presents materials in an orderly way, without distraction or complication. Follow the rubric, do the reading, and keep on schedule and you'll do fine. This class is a great example of the perfect online class. Discussions are important and simply repeating class material won't be enough.
Not inspirational, does not encourage creative thinking. She wants you to regurgitate information back from the text in your 'homework notes' without processing them through your head. Basically writing outlines of what you just read. As long as you don't want to think, but simply in-put and out-put information from texts to exams, you'll be fine.
Overall did learn and was an easy class, did have a group project but was not too bad.
Great teacher overall, had a good experience with her and did well in the class. She is helpful and clear in her instructions.
Very caring & sweet Dr. You can tell she loves what she does. Not sure if it was just me & the material, but the lectures were not very captivating and sometimes dragged.
The book for this class is absolutely necessary, but it's actually a fun read. Make sure to read the "welcome" section of the modules and test questions carefully. Watson was very cheerful, helpful, and responsive-- but be careful. The first article up for discussion (at least in summer session) is ONE SHE WROTE under her maiden name.
I would not recommend taking this class unless you want a history lesson on Racism and Sexism rather than information about the actual Art of Walt Disney, which is what the class is titled. This teacher clearly trying to push an agenda and will not let you have an opposing view. Took class for Disney, left with only a little more info then started.
Took the art of Walt Disney class and all we ever discussed is racism of the 1960s. We never really wrote or studied anything about Disney's actual art. Would not recommend.
Very funny and sweet and easy going(this is the second class i've taken with her). Went to lecture to listen to her take on the art but the quizzes are from the book and timed for an hour. She always involves a group project which is quite clear and an individual project (this class we did role play, it was pretty cool). Overall, good class
This class was very enjoyable. It is more project/assignment based than I was used to, but overall it was a good experience. Dr. Watson is knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about the material. I would recommend this class!
Took the class online with Watson. She's very kind. I found the class to be very easy and clearly graded- read the textbook, read the extra article, write a discussion post, and take the quiz. It's a lot of reading, for sure, but straightforward. As for the class itself, loved it. Loved learning about the history of Disney, not just the movies.
Professor Watson is super caring, and will help you out when it comes to personal issues regarding assignments. Reading and outlining the book will help you better than her lectures, and group assignments are a for sure. Overall, easy grader and not a bad class.
Great professor and clearly states what is expected. She gives great feedback every week so you know what to fix from week to week. There is a discussion and a quiz every week and if you do the discussion and read the chapters for the week the quizzes are a breeze.
Great teacher. Pretty easy grader and an easy class. Every week there is a scholarly article to read sometimes up to 50 pages on top of your book reading and then a 500 word discussion and quiz. It's not too difficult at all though. Every week copies and pastes a "good job" email to everyone. overall interesting class, just a bit repetitive.
I took History of Walt Disney and the focus was more on history than the art but was still fascinating. There is quite a bit of reading (articles and textbook) and 500 word weekly discussions and one quiz a week. For an online class it was solid and I did learn but you have to be motivated. Watson is kind, a REAL fast grader and lenient.
ARH4430 Great Professor. Her lectures are very well prepared with lots of detailed information. Her style is entertaining and easy to follow. She is very kind and has a great relationship with the students trying to make them feel comfortable with new concepts. I would highly recommend her 19th century art class.
I've taken Watson many times, both online and in person. A really fast grader and super bubbly and very friendly in person. Reading the book is a must as quiz/test material comes straight from the book. In her 19th class, you play a role playing game that sounds worse than it actually is. It ended up being really fun! Not hard at all.
I love Watson. She's so passionate about what she does and she really knows her stuff. I've taken a bunch of classes both online and in person & I always come away having learned and having laughed. Her assignments truly reinforce the knowledge of how the art culture works & how to apply the knowledge in the real world. She's straightforward & fun!
neato cheetos. I like her. lots of writing but if you can write youll do great
Professor Keri's Art of Walt Disney class was so fun! Simple weekly assignments, with no exams or projects. She offered extra credit opportunities, although I felt they weren't needed with how simple the class was. If you need an interesting and simple online elective, take this class!
The Art of Walt Disney class was alright, I was disappointed though thinking this would be more about the actual art of Disney animation. Some of the articles were interesting, but not all. I wish we discussed the art style more. Also, commenting on other's discussions was talking about the same thing we just talk about in our own discussion.
Easy and understandable grading criteria. Weekly discussions, quizzes, one mid terms and final exam. Read, keep up, and you'll do fine.
Fairly simple in what you need to do. Discussion posts and quizzes weekly. Personally did not like the class at all. If you like writing a lot, this is the class for you.
Prof Watson was a very nice and interactive teacher. Her Art of Disney class was so much fun! This was certainly one of my favorite classes at UCF. I would highly recommend having her as a teacher!
I took her Art of Walt Disney class and really enjoyed the content. The modules each week are simple: read an introduction, write a discussion, and take the quiz. There is a lot of reading and writing in this class though, and I suggest you read the book.
I thought the Art of Walt Disney class would be more about the art of Disney's individual artists rather than mostly reading about art critics, social critics, and people with boring theories on theme park design and writing weekly essays on that. The required book was pretty good and fair even though it was a biography and not about art.
I love Dr. Watson! She is so funny and her lectures are actually interesting and I never found myself bored or not paying attention. She doesn't always take attendance but lectures are obviously important for test information and they're fun so you won't mind attending. You definitely need the textbook as the discussion posts require you to read.
Dr. Watson is creative, enthusiastic, and clearly wants her students to be successful. Her lectures are engaging and are designed to deepen your understanding of the text. She constructs assignments that allow room for creativity and exploration.
Dr. Watson uses a lot of lecture, but I'm not sure what else you're expecting from an art history course. A bonus is that she truly knows what she's talking about, and she enjoys teaching it. We did a curation project that was fun and cultivated good life skills. We also played a 5-week long game that's fun granted you actually participate and try.
This class is actually really informational and focuses on how Disney and the art world interact. My view of Walt Disney as a person has definitely changed, as well as the way I view the company. Mostly it involves a discussion post and reply as well as a quiz based on book chapters each week. Thought-provoking prompts, and reliable week-to-week.
Take her if you're not interested in graduate school, I guess? I've taken several classes with her but this was my first in person one; all I wanted was engaging lectures and perhaps the opportunity to write a paper to use as a writing sample but neither happened. She's relatively easy and the class is decently entertaining but I didn't learn much.
Her mixed mode class was much to be desired, it'd be much more worth your time to take a class with her online since it's far easier. In class she assigned four projects that don't really fit into the subject, and one of them is actually her job just being handed off t0 us. Her quizzes are due prior to lecture so there's no point going to class.
I'm about to complete her History of Non-Western Art with an A. This class is completely online and she makes you purchase her e-textbook ($85). be prepared each week to: read the chapter, post to the discussion board and take the quiz (open book/notes and 1-hour time limit). Ctrl+F is your friend.
Read the material in the book and about the spotlight artist, it helps a lot. Easy class if you read the material and do the work
The class was easy to pass, and the online format was super clear. There was a discussion and a short quiz due each week. You have to buy the textbook to pass the quizzes, but the discussions are easy enough and generally interesting.
I loved this class! It was probably my favorite in the semester. It is Art of Walt Disney so it is interesting to begin with but it is clear she cares for her students and is willing to help. She gives very supportive feedback. It's easy to do well in this class as long as you do the reading, and there is a lot. Really hope I can take her again!
The professor is amazing. She's clear on what she wants and her grading is fair. If you don't like to read, you probably won't enjoy this class. There's a lot of reading for each module (which you need to do for the weekly quizzes). The discussions are pretty simple too.
I wish all my courses were this structured, with a caring professor who gives genuine feedback and opportunities in and out of class to expand your art knowledge.
This was the easiest Art History course I've ever taken. The entire thing is online; you grade is made up of 11 quizzes (of which all the answers can be found in the book) and 11 corresponding discussion posts. My only complaint is that a lot of the discussion prompts came off as preachy, social justice warrior crap.
Professor Watson is super chill, just do your work and she will do hers. I wish I would have taken her for ARH 2050, the prof. that I had for that course almost ruined online classes for me. I am so happy to have gotten to take Prof. Watson's class!
As long as you read carefully and take the quizzes immediately after you'll do fine in the class.
Professor Watson is very nice and she tries to help students to succeed in the class. Entirely online and each week there's a quiz and a discussion. Just read the textbook online and you'll do good.
Really kind and thoughtful professor! It's a pretty interesting course if you're interested in Disney Art and it's history. Just keep up with the readings and discussion post and you'll do well.
Read the textbook and the small exerts the professor adds in and you will get an A.
Professor Watson is one of the best Professors I have ever had. She did a great job with her book and the writing assignments. Post on classmates posts to get full credit. As long as you read the book and do your writing assignments, you're good. She replies to messages very quickly and is there to help. I'm taking her another class with her soon
Very interesting class. Professor is very kind and helpful, also offers extra credit.
Took online Non-Western Art & it was def an easy A. Grades are 50% weekly discussion posts (with replies to 2 students) & 50% weekly easy 20-question quizzes with all answers in online, interactive textbook (open book & gives an hour to complete). Extra credit opportunities by going to artsy events & showing proof of attendance. Highly recommended!
At first, I was a little bummed about the online textbook we had to purchase but it ended up being extremely helpful and I'm honestly going to refer back to it in the future. Also, Professor Watson gave us interesting discussion topics which made the writing portion very enjoyable. I'd absolutely recommend taking her class!
If you read the book you'll get an easy A . 50% quizzes and 50% reading responses, make sure you do your work.
You are graded solely on discussions and quizzes. The discussion topics are rather simple, but allow for good conversation between students. It is mandatory to post a response to a fellow classmates post, which can be easily done with the topics each week.
I love Dr. Watson. Her classes are always so interesting and thorough, as long as you keep up with the readings, you should be fine. I also took her for ARH3610 -- which was great as well. (pay attention to deadlines!) I'm taking her for art of Walt Disney in the summer semester. Hands down one of my favorite professors, 100% recommend!
Excellent!
her class was very easy, just one written response and 20 question quiz a week, everything u need was in the textbook or given to us on canvas.
Professor Watson is very nice and tries to help students to succeed in the class. ARH 2500 is an online course which requires weekly quizzes. I have also attended her ARH 3610 course - History of American Art. She was amazing in making the course very interesting bringing up lots of analysis and anecdotal information. I strongly recommend to attend
While Dr. Watson is a good person, she is not as great a teacher. It is easy to get an A in her class, so if that's all you need look no further. I still know nothing on 19th century art, and we spent an entire half of the semester doing a reenactment game that taught nothing. All of her assignments seemed better suited for a different class.
As far as my online class went, Dr. Watson really didn't do much. Class graded on one discussion + one quiz per week. I never bought the book and ended with an A. I think she was a little tough on the discussion gradings. Class might be online but most of the answers for the quizzes are not - read the PDFs she assigns every week.
Dr. Watson is exceptionally caring and will go out of her way to help if you come to her. Her online classes are very clearly organized and consistent. I would recommend her class to anyone.
Awesome professor! Super attentive to students and makes her online classes very interesting. Content and objectives are very clear.
I took this class during the fast-track Summer A period, expecting to be drowned in work, but was pleasantly surprised by the workload of this class. There was a discussion and a quiz due each week, which were both very easy as long as you read through the modules before hand. The textbook was only $15 but I didn't find myself needing it as much.
Get ready to read the book AND be quizzed on it!
Took her class online over the summer. She gave us the code for the free online book. Class consisted of quizzes and discussions and she always personally emailed you after reading your discussion post. Overall interesting material and easy class.
This was my third Keri Watson class and as usual, I was not disappointed. Expect weekly readings, discussions, and quizzes!
Everyone forgot mention you have a 5 page essay and discussions have a word count as well as responses
Dr. Watson is an amazing professor! She really cares about crafting a class that will give students experience in different areas of art history such as writing exhibition reviews, curation, group work, and research. Her class was challenging but incredibly rewarding and would be beneficial for anyone, even non-art history majors.
Class meets 1x/wk, attendance only taken occasionally. Class setup is very organized and straightforward. Weekly article reviews (30%), one exhibit review (20%), two timed online exams (25%), and a final presentation (25%). Lenient grading and extra credit offered. My only complaint is the weekly articles she picks for review are LONG and wordy!!!
This class was the biggest waste of time and money in my undergraduate career. I have learned nothing about Non-Western Art that I had not already gleaned from other courses, extracurricular readings, or just lingering on the Discovery Channel for a couple of minutes at the age of 10. If you just care about an A, then this is the class for you!
Dr. Watson was a treat. She is funny and high energy, but I'm not sure if I'm just illiterate or I genuinely have a hard time following the vocabulary that her readings use. American art history isn't as interesting I guess ,but she tries her best to make the subject worth learning about.
Average instructor for a 2000 level online course. Content is recycled which doesn't require much engagement, but she's quick to respond when needed.
Great course
This is my fifth class with Dr. Watson and it was great! Per usual, she was passionate about the subject matter and extremely knowledgeable when giving lectures. Weekly readings and 10 question quizzes were not difficult to stay on top of, and the final project provided an opportunity to do something really unique. She is kind, smart & very funny!
This is a very easy class. There are 11 online modules, each one only requires reading the chapter, a discussion post, and a short quiz. There was no midterm or final exam, but there is a final paper. Professor Watson made the course very easy to follow and pass.
Good class overall
All around very great professor! You can tell she actually cares about what she's teaching and that brings energy and makes the class more enjoyable. Would recommend for sure
Very nice class, easy material but also very informative. Sometimes Art History can make your brain feel like mush even if you're interested in it. This conveys the facts in ways that kept my attention!
Love this professor, If you can read you will pass
Great Teacher! Feedback is very prompt and assignments are straight-forward. Weekly reading assignments and quizzes.
Very easy to comprehend material; mostly just quizzes and discussion posts. A very comfortable and enjoyable class!
Great professor! she gives you the lecture and makes it interesting and she also gives you articles to read and you take quizzes from the articles and lecture that she gives you. Quizzes should be easy if you pay attention and read the articles. She is also very friendly professor!
Great class! Very easy, although her discussions can be quite thought provoking. Enjoyed it!
I really enjoyed Prof. Watson's class. It wasn't super difficult, but there was a lot of reading. Each week had a chapter to read, a discussion post to do, and a quiz on that chapter. The class was really interesting and I never found myself bored. The only issue I had was the due dates. Sunday is usually it but her's are Friday and Saturday.
I've taken multiple classes with Watson. Her classes are easy and you really don't even need to attend to pass, but god are her classes miserable. It's lectures that she doesn't stay on topic, she reads directly from the textbook, and brings in miserable people to present off topic material. If you want to learn something, do not take her.
Took an Art of Walt Disney Class with Prof. Watson and would highly recommend for any animation or theme park enthusiasts out there. Weekly discussion post and quiz based on the book (that you can access for free) and extra articles/videos. You can get away with skimming a lot of the material. It's a go-at-your-own pace type course, pretty easy A.
I've taken 2 online classes with Dr. Watson and neither were hard. The textbook is required but it's written by her and quiz questions are taken directly from it. The course material is organized nicely. I didn't find myself having to read as much as I've had to in past art history classes. Discussion + quiz every week, technically a 12 week class.
Super easy course, just a discussion post and a quiz at the end of every week. Some weeks harder than others, depends on what the topic is/how much reading needs to be done. I read from the textbook maybe twice and still got an A, there's a free pdf on google of it anyway for the few moments I did need it to find an answer ref. in the text.
Shes awesome!
Two things due by the end of each week, her class is completely open from beginning to end on the first day of class. The content is cool if you have an interest in Disney and the time period, otherwise it will be extremely dry but overall either way the class is really easy.
This class is super easy and very fun! We have one discussion post and one quiz due every weekend, but they are extremely easy. The quizzes are only 10 questions, and if you do the discussions you'll do great on the quizzes. The discussions are typically only 200 words and you only have to respond to one student. Highly recommend taking this class!
Professor Watson is clearly very passionate about teaching this course, and it shows through in the tests. As long as you read the chapters and take notes, you will do fine. Open-textbook and open-note quizzes, but you will still have to work to pass.
Not a tough class, but you will need to read a lot The information is interesting though, so it's not so bad! Professor seems responsive, attentive, and fair.
She was a good teacher. It takes awhile to get feedback response though. As long as you complete your discussion work (from textbook/given article) and quizzes (from overall module of the week) on time, you should be able to pass this class with ease. This was a pretty fun class, learned a lot from the subjects that were shown each week.
She seems like a good professor. Unfortunately the self-driven pace of the online aspect leaves an absence of particular instruction techniques that I am used to (ie. in-person), but I have no reason to suspect her to be a less than competent professor. She accommodates a hindrance-free path to academic success in this class. That is substantial.
Great professor! Easy access to discussion posts readings for the week. I did not have the funds to buy the textbook but with the readings provided and doing extra research online, I was still able to pass the course with an A! Love the professor and how organized the schedule of class assignments were and having clear understanding of the rubric.
The course was only weighted by three grades (Midterm, Final, and one project). The course was incredibly text heavy, I often found myself falling behind on reading, being a full-time student. There are no quizzes/ guidance on the material, making it much more difficult to digest. I would not recommend this class to anyone.
The description for Art of Walt Disney sounded super interesting but the book used was sometimes a chore to read. I did learn quite a bit. Expect 20 - 40ish pages of reading from the book plus another 20ish pages from articles. Very easy class, no written assignments. Weekly quiz, required discussion posts, no final exam, free book access.
Not much interaction with the prof, but super simple class. The discussion boards are 250 words and you have to reply to at least 1 peer which is 75 words. The test are super easy. No textbook needed, prof gives you everything you need to read to pass the discussion board and test. Easy A.
I took the art of walt disney and all late work is accepted. The textbook is provided online for free through the professor. Easy discussions (200 words), reply to one student. I actually really enjoyed reading the textbook, which is rare. Disney was a huge entrepreneur and I learned a lot about the history of him. Easy A, and great communication.
Each module was prepared by the professor and separated into easy to follow parts. Using the book was not required which saved time. Each quiz had all questions from the module that could be completed in reasonable time. Since all the module assignments were open the whole semester, all assignments could be finished before the end of the semester.
Took the Art of Walt Disney class and it was super easy. There's no midterm or final, its just a discussion post w/ reply and quiz every week. Gives you all the links to the articles or videos she asks information on. I believe there's a free online version of the textbook thats available! 100% would take this class again!! Easy A
Very simple online course without a final exam. Only quizzes and discussion posts weekly.
The professor was very respectful and nice towards the students. Gives good feed back on discussions. Although, there is a ton of things in this class you will have to do like reading a lot the textbook, but she helps by giving a summary on the modules.
Super easy course, focused on learning rather than assignments
she is so nice and really understanding with late work. All of the answers to quizzes and discussions are in the readings.
This class was really interesting. I liked learning about the history of Walt Disney. She provide a PDF copy of the textbook. There are weekly group discussion posts on an article and a quiz based off chapters in the book and the article. Class is open so you can work at your own pace.
Very easy class, it's structured nicely and easy to follow.
Watson is a great professor. The workload is quite manageable and the class was fun
The class was ultra easy. Read and respond, take a quiz, that's it for each week. The online class is self paced, so you can finish early if you want. There is no feedback provided for anything. I'd take this professor again if the format is the same.
Learned a lot about Walt Disney through his animation, films, and theme parks. Professor Watson made assignments open to work ahead of schedule.
Incredibly sweet and supportive professor! The class was extremely easy and I always enjoyed learning a little bit more about Disney every single week. Very enjoyable and I never had a hard time in this class.
Professor Watson is very kind and caring. The class is very easy to follow and you can work ahead. She is a fair grader and there is a quiz every week along with discussion posts. Very interesting class and I would take her again.
Easy class. Super interesting. Would absolutely recommend!
I enjoyed this class because I was able to learn without worrying so much about my grade. This professor gives quizzes and discussions. The only way to get a bad grade is to not submit anything. I missed 2 discussions due to a busy work schedule, and I still got an A. You will not regret taking this class! Easy A :)
In-person class discussions are open for any questions and she will answer. She's also available to contact after.
I loved this class. There is reading/watching videos every week and discussion boards and quizzes that follow, but nothing difficult. The history of Walt Disney was so interesting and this was absolutely worth the 3 credits for an elective. Take this class for an easy A.
Such a fun class and I actually learned a lot about the history of Walt Disney and his animation. This class consists of a quiz a discussion every week. Nothing crazy hard. You cannot fail unless you absolutely do not turn anything in. She takes late work as well for full credit! Take this class for a very easy A!
The class is made up of a weekly discussion post and quiz. Everything you need to know can be found in the text and modules. Interesting and stress free course!
Great information provided and be prepared to read.
Great Professor. Interesting material makes the required reading a breeze!
Awesome Class, The professor makes all the assignments available from the beginning so you can take the class at your own speed. Interesting content and stress-free assignments. Usually writing on a discussion post and one quiz per week. I am a lazy student and I enjoyed this class because it is straight-forward and a manageable amount of work.
Very nice and accepts late submissions
Professor Watson is awesome. The class is very interesting and the work is very straight forward. 6 discussions and 6 quizzes. It is all open from the beginning too, so you can do everything at your own pace
Professor Watson's class was very interesting and a great opportunity to earn upper level art history credit. She always responds to emails quickly, and I learned so much in this class without having to stress about my grade. The assignments and quizzes are very straight forward as long as you keep up with the reading and stay on top of things.
All the modules were open so you could work at your own pace. Love the book as accessible for free as well all that is required is short quizzes, a weekly discussion and response.
My favorite part about the class was that all of the assignments were open immediately, which allowed me to work at my own pace. It was immensely helpful and I wish more professors would do that. The content was interesting and she organized the material well.
Online summer class with 500 students. PDF textbook, so nothing to buy. No deductions for late work, just get it done by the end of the semester. 1 easy quiz each week & 1 post weekly on the topic. The class is dry, not like I thought a Disney art class would be...NO TEACHING--watch film clips, read boring articles & do the work, but an easy "A".
I took Dr. Watson for The Art of Walt Disney, for elective credit. Dr. Watson is 10/10. I loved her class, it was mostly self-led and had one short weekly quiz and one discussion. Super manageable and fun. The textbook was completely online - and a really interesting read!
Professor Watson's class was very interesting and was taken as an elective. The book was free online, and it was mostly self-led with a weekly quiz and discussion posting. I thoroughly enjoyed the class and would highly recommend taking it in the future.
I took the ARH3888 course The Art of Walt Disney during Summer A in 2022. The course was entirely online and is fully open. You learn a lot about Walt Disney and the decisions he made for his movies, animations, and theme parks. the professor is a very fast grader and gets your grades back to you within a day or two after the assignment.
Great teacher. Watch videos and read articles. Great Summer class!!
This class does require reading but is very straight forward each week. Sometimes you read a little more than the previous week but all in all it follow the post. Answer the questions about the topic. You can work ahead if you would like just remember to go back in and participate. Take this course.
Great class and very organized! The quizzes are easy, and all of the content is straight from the modules.
I loved that the course was completely asynchronous. You can submit assignments whenever is convenient for you, but she also adds suggested deadlines to help keep you on track, which is super helpful. There's a lot of reading, but it isn't hard, and the tests are straightforward and untimed.
Caring and understanding for her students. Not a heavy course load at all, easy to complete assignments and a great grader. Highly recommend taking any of her courses
Clear and concise. All the information you need is in the modules; and she always gives feedback on your discussion posts. I really like how attentive she is!
Extremely easy class and great professor. Taken her for multiple art history courses and they've all been a breeze. Textbook not needed, only the modules (exams and tests all taken from them directly). Passionate about her subject! Make sure to take some time to attend a live lecture when she announces them, very interesting!
I took this class because I needed one more class until I graduate. This was a nice easy class. It did require quite a bit of reading. I took this class B session during the summer so there were only six weekly quizzes and six discussion. Everything was open at the start of class, so you can finish the class in a matter of a week if you choose.
Professor Keri Watson is fair and honest, she gives great feedback and the subject matter was presented well. She was encouraging and positive, I would absolutely attend her class again.
This class is a refreshing break away from the heavy workload of the other courses I've needed to take. She gives simple assignments and you just need to do them. Even in the condensed Summer semester, the class was still simple enough and a worthwhile experience.
This is a fun class! I enjoyed the media, essays and required book. I learned a lot! The Professor is great with communication and gives good feedback.
This is a really fun class! I am a fan of Disney already and the art and media of the company, so it was a fun little deep dive into the history of the company. I was lucky enough to take this as a part of my degree, but if you need a credit filler, Keri Watson is a fantastic option!
This course (The Art of Disney) covers interesting topics that are fun to learn about. The class was well organized into weekly modules. It was the easiest class I've taken by far, each week there is only one discussion board and one quiz, no more and no less!
Professor Watson was great. From the beginning, she provided clear instructions on how to complete the coursework and always offered amazing feedback on completed assignments. Even though it is an online course, it felt like she was involved and wanted each of us to succeed.
Best class at ucf by far
Good professor, I took 19th century art and it was straightforward, do the readings and post or attend discussions and it was easy to pass the class. The class was well organized and the professor was nice, I enjoyed going to class for discussions.
I took Southern Folk Art online with Professor Watson it was an easy and interesting course. There is a discussion and quiz every week and one final project at the end which is also easy. She leaves feedback with almost every assignment and is very communicative. I would definitely take her again!
This professor was very responsive and made clear all instructions at the beginning of the semester. You can complete this class at your own pace! Best professor!!
Professor Watson is amazing! I learned so much about the history of Disney in this course. There is a quiz and a discussion post to complete each week. Do the work and you will pass!
Good class!
This professor was amazing, she is very kind and responsive. She made clear all instructions at the beginning of the semester. If you complete all the assignments you will pass. Best professor!!
Teacher was very sweet and the most effort you have to put into the class is reading the textbook and pdf the teacher provides you. Textbooks are easily accessible and quizzes are short, simple, and multiple choice.
Keri Watson was a kind and wonderful teacher! I took Art of Walt Disney online and it was a very fun class. It was a lot of reading, but it wasn't difficult or boring and the quizzes weren't too hard. And if you like animation/disney/art in general, you'll love the discussion posts. Just keep on top of the homework and you'll do great!
BEST PROFESSOR EVER.
Great professor! The professor provides the textbook link, so you don't have to pay for it. The assignment for each week was reading 1 to 2 chapters, discussion post with an additional article (max. 200 words), and a quiz. The quizzes were easy. The professor grades the assignment fairly quickly. Keep on top of the work and you'll do great!
Professor Watson is awesome! The class has easy quizzes and assignments. Just stay on top of the work and you'll do great. I found unstuck ai super helpful for study prep too.
Very easy going. The class was super interesting even for someone who is not an art major.
Very kind and sweet and is very respectful. If you have any questions she is always there to help and is very fast at responding. Her assignments and quizzes are easy as long as you read the modules. Her quiz questions don't trick. Love her and would 100% take her again!
This professor is one of the gems that I have had, and the class is structured to pass and also gain some fun and interesting knowledge to keep with you. I have had her for two classes now, and try to search for her name specifically when it comes to ARH classes because I trust her as a professor and prefer the class structure she creates
Great professor and a simple class. Only one discussion and quiz a week. There is also a final project but it isn't too bad. The material is interesting and the professor cares. She also accepts late work and is considerate of her students. I can't wait to take another art class with this professor!
attendance was optional if you preferred class discussion over an online discussion post with one quiz per week. really funny and easy to understand. tries to answer all questions thoroughly.
I have taken her for two semesters straight. She's amazing. Recommend 100%.
Great professor, you have the option to do in-class discussions or participate only with a 500-worded response. Honestly, the seminars are great and easy to do since all you have to do is read and annotate the text and talk about your inputs about what you've read. It's an engaging and an easy grade overall, I learned a lot! Wonderful professor :)
Amazing professor and class. Textbook was free. Gained lots of knowledge throughout. Would definitely recommend!
This class was great and easy. The only thing I will say is that the final exam being 100 questions in 100 minutes was crazy.
v easy and simple class. each week there is a 10 q quiz, and a short discussion post + a reply. textbook is free. just make sure you hit the word count and you should get full credit. the final project is a 1500 word paper on anything disney which was graded kinda harshly by a TA but i cant complain i still got an A in the class.
A really simple course that I would gladly take again. There is a textbook that she expects you to read, but she provides it for free. There is a quiz and discussion due each week, and the final is a simple essay. While quizzes and discussions are "due" each week, all assignments are accepted without reduction up until the end of the semester.
BEST PROF EVER!!! If you need a ARH credit PLEASE TAKE HER CLASSES. Easiest A+ of my life. If you fail this class you did something wrong. One discussion post and one 5 question quiz a week, and will let you submit late with no penalty as long as you submit before semester is over. 11/10 Would definitely take her again.
