Kinda hard to approach. Sometimes sarcastic but she's pretty cool. I would recomend her.
Very difficult to approach, and she tends to make some students feel stupid for asking questions. Other people liked her in other lower-division classes, but I don't think anyone in our class really liked her.
very clear with lectures. study from lecture notes.

Take her class if u wanna get a good grade coz her grading system isn't hard. The hardest thing is about the significant figures(SF). She pays attention a lot for the (SF). She's very helpful, too. She explains everything clearly in class.
she explains everything pretty well except that her tests are fairly challenging
great lectures, very clear. seems nice in class but visit her during office hrs and she's really mean. she makes u fell stupid for asking qs and treats u like a nuisance . if ur not that good in chem, go w/ a teach that will be eager to help like Wong

She explains very clear in class, but she is hard to approach. Don't ask too many questions to her coz she'll consider u as a stupid student. Sometimes she's sarcastic, too. She's very nice in class, though. :)
very cold cold...the sight of her just brought chill down to my body..damn how cold..anyway, her lecture is extreme boring, she get to the point, but extened it with too much examples that could be confusing..and i hate that, some ppl might like it.
Boring classes. Somewhat hard tests and quizes. The quizes are based on lab work, so they dont necessarily test your knowledge on the book. I foudn it hard to keep up with tests because there is no real work she gives you that are based on these tests.
Clear lecture, as long as u write down her notes, u'll be fine. Don't need to read the text book at all becoz her notes covers all the material. However, her tests are a little bit challenging so don't expect to get an easy "A".
She is hard, but a nice person. You have to pay a lot of attention and do self studying. a UCLA student dropped in our class, and I dropped afterwards. I suggest taking her if you like a challenge.
she writes EVERYTHING on the board, so she is very clear in her lectures. the quizzes are a little tuff but since her lectures are good, you should do well if you study. Very clear teacher, gives you clues on wats on the test.

take wood period!!! if you want clarity and toughness take wong
If u wanna really learn sth, go for her. Detailed lecture and nice personality. Standard problems on tests and gives out sample ones.
She's okay, an A is 86 and above...but her quizes and tests are pretty tough. take ALL computer quizes she gives you bonus points! It is not one of those easy science classes (unlike Barner) because her version of chem22 is mainly a class to prepare you for Chem 1A, so expect to work.
shes an ok teacher, but when u ask her a question, she treats u like ur a two year old. she answers back as if u are stupid. Do not take her class. even if she writes everything on the board, she still doesnt explain everything.
Chem 1B is difficult as it is, Huber does not make it easier, nor really help you. Take some other teacher. her quizzes are hard and the department tests are harder. She does not prepare you enough for them. Prepare to be suffocated through out the semester
She acts like everyone is dumb and her tests and quizzes are not even what she teaches you.
Huber is an excellent teacher. She's smart, clear, and very thorough. I took all my chem class at PCC, and Huber got to be the best.If u think she's hard, then u have no future because she's pretty reasonable in her quizzes. Most people don't like her because she's cold & hard to talk to. Maybe because she doesn't have an out-going personality.
The best chem prof in PCC. Lectures are very clear, she writes everything on the board, she is very helpful if u have questions, outgoing teacher, just study the lab for the quiz (that's a quiz lab).Highly recommended teacher..
She is really easy to understand and her explanations are very clear.
she is a good teacher but her quizzes and tests are very difficult.

Best chem teacher at PCC. Lectures are clear and not rushed, unlike other chem teachers. Need to study and prepare cause it's a hard class.
She is a good teacher tho
Mrs Huber is great teacher...clear explaination but test n quizes are hard..you have to study the note n understand it...she is very helpful if u don't get anything...take her so u wont regret..
She's hard. Very very hard. It is class like this that shows what you're made of. Get an "A" or even a "B" in her class means you're UCLA/Berkely material. "C"=cal state.
Had her for Chem 1A/1B Summer/Fall 05 and received an A in both. She's a very fair teacher and expects you to at least put some commitment in her class. I received a 780, 98 percentile on the SAT II chemistry because of her. Her comments on how Berkeley people are snobs while Caltech people are nerds is the best.
She is very organized. She explains concepts clearly. Covers everything you should know for the exams.best professor in PCC. and she is very helpful, too.
Not as easy as the 2 previous coments say. Well, not for me at least. But she is better than my chem 1A prof (bilicki). Fair grader, but tests and quizes are a bit too tough.
Huber is one of those professors who's lectures are good, and that means very hard tests. Her quizzes are based on labs and that makes them a LOT harder. Shes been around tooooo long, which you can recognize when you ask her a question, cuz she treats you like your an idiot for not knowing that.
She is really hard. U can't just memorize the formulas or the steps from the examples that she gives u. U have to understand them inside and out. Picky... well, fairly picky kinda. She takes 2 points (sometimes only 1) off if u put down the wrong sig fig. Try to bag the labs. 95 points is a lot of points.
She is better then the other teachers in this subject, but chemistry is not an easy subject, so you have to do a lot of studing and extra work; problems in the back of each chapter. Test are not easy, you have to be prepared, first test is usually the easiest. Huber's lectures are good, with lots of examples, she writes on the board, thats a plus.

Extremely difficult exams and fastidious grading style. You MUST study extremely hard to do well on her exams. Although, I must admit that I learned a great deal in her class. If you need chemistry for your future career take her, if you just need a lab class for your GE requirement STAY AWAY this class is for science and engineering majors.
She gives very clear lectures.Smart person. Helpful if y ask question. Read her notes, do assignment, and practice some problems in the text, you will be well-prepared for the exams.. The exams are made by the department . so the level of the hardness should be the same as other teachers'.Quizzes are o.k. not very hard though.
she is vey good n patient. she s like to help everyone. she gives a very clearly lecture. she will give u enough notes and practice before quiz n exam. but u need spend much time on the experiment n computer quiz. if u do them all u will get very good grade.
THIS DUDE IS FUGGIN BOMG. Loved this professor, literally my favorite professor here at PCC. For all those who don't like her teaching style, I think its dope. Its fast, condensed, and clear. I understand what she says. And most importantly, she keeps me awake. Lab reports ar e graded hard though, nevertheless, I can't say enough positives about em
This is a tough class, but she teaches it very well. You need to study a lot, but that's just because of the material. She makes it as clear as it can be considering what it is.
she is a very awesome teacher. all u need to do is taking notes and revise the notes. u dun have to buy books. even ur chem 1a is not good...u still able to do well in her class. i am going to get A in her class!
She goes through all the material and makes everything clear. Her lectures are slow but clear. Although she does find it annoying if you dont know something that is supposed to be straightforward, she is helpful on tough problems. Take her@
ms. huber is a nice professor and she does teach good. i find her more helpful than ansari
I have a crush on her :] She is very helpful and adorable.
This professor really knows what she's talking about. Her lectures are precise and she is pretty funny too. Definitely recommended.
STUDY!!! TAKE NOTES!!! 1st test easy. 2nd test hard!! 3rd neutral. STUDY FOR FINAL!!! BE PRECISE ON UNKNOWNS!!! Good teacher. Very vague on lab instructions. Hard quizzes. BORN-HABER CYCLE!!! Has sense of humor. Just study and stay on top of things and you'll be fine. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!!!
does she ever offer extra credit??
I love the way professor Huber gives lecture, she has made chemistry looks so easy, I was able to understand everything she teaches. when I have questions she always been very helpful... if you do care about learning and have strong foundation about organic Chemistry, I would suggest take her, I wish she would teach Chem 2B, I'll take her for sure.
excellent! professor she is very clear. you will learn alot. she is very smart. try to take her class.
she makes u look dumb and embarrass u if u ask certain things that seem obvious to her. the unknowns r unfair. did everything perfectly yet lost almost all points. easy strong B, rly hard A. if u make a few mistakes then A is outta reach
she is one of the best instructors i have ever had. very good techniques and clear when teaching i really reccomend her. if you don't pass her class is because you didn't put any effort, go prepare and do your homework and assigments and you will do good in your tests. pcc should have more professors like her.enjoy her class:) it is interesting.
Incredibly knowledgeable, clear, concise, and communicatively informative in her very effective and really commendable style of teaching.
She is very good at teaching by relating chemistry to the real life and make it easier. The materials she covered, I would say, is much easier than it should be in the text book. So, I would choose her for my chemistry class. The only thing hard is about the math. You NEED to be sensitive for the number or you will have a little trouble
Mrs. Huber can teach short to the point. So reading the textbook might not be necessary but you should still read cot it's a plus when it comes to conceptual questions on the exams. Her quizzes are reasonable but her exams might be challenging.Once you take her, study consistently because I find chem 1b as the hardest course I ever had so far in pcc
She does not prepare you well. First time she taught ochem in 8 years and basically teach you the simplest stuff in the book. Does no prepare you at all for quiz or exam. She likes to take off points for little silly things on your papers/exam if it's not written in the way she wants it even though the answer is correct.
Crystal clear, detailed lecture!True, she's rusty in Chem8A but I hear she's the Queen of Chem1B!Shes hard, and takes off points for answers not perfect.Especially on questions that require a lot of explaining, which she love to give!Don't be intimidated to ask her questions.I know I looked stupid with the questions I asked, but she will still help.
Very clear and concise. Because of this, I only ever needed the textbook for practice problems. Writes and explains main points on the board as she lectures so, this helped me a lot as a visual learner. Very into the subject she teaches and conseq. sometimes arrogant. But, compared to other chem teachers I've experienced/heard about, she's the best
You should definitely take Huber if she is teaching a 1B course. The best out of all the professors. She is really clear and precise with her lectures. No powerpoint or anything, she writes everything slowly and precisely so that students can understand. Exams are tedious and requires a lot of thinking. Overall excellent professor
I took her with chem 22, 1A and even 1B. I love her so much! She is one of my favorite teachers at PCC. I don't think her tests are extremely hard. If you honestly try to study, you'll earn what you deserve :) Take her if you want to have a strong foundation for chem! :)
She is not that easy to approach, and her tests are really long and quite challenging. But her lectures are great, I took her in the spring, half of the class drops. Hard grader though. Not recommend for easy A.
she is extremely hard. Her exams are honestly very hard. They are confusing and unfair. 3/4 of the class dropped. Also, she is not a nice person.
she is extremely hard. Her exams are unfair, confusing, and hard. I do not recommend this professor to anyone.
Best Chemistry teacher i highly recommend her. She makes the class very interesting. Her tests are a bit difficult but if you work hard you can get a good grade.
For the love of God do not take her!!!!!!
Huber made my life a living hell. She has a very stuck up attitude and will embarrass you in front of the entire class. Although extremely smart her lectures were a drab and did not prepare one for any exam or quiz. Also, you would be lucky to get any partial credit even for a 10 point problem.
Her lectures were crystal clear, albeit more in-class practice problems would have been better. She used real life examples to explain concepts, which is always good. Her exam questions were straightforward. Overall, Mrs. Huber is a nice lady and an understanding professor.
Mrs. Huber is one of my favorite professor at PCC. English is my 2nd language and I kno nth about chemistry before I took my chem 22 with her at the first time, bt her lecture is really clear to the point that I have no troubles with all the new terms I hv first seen in my life. Her exams are hard but if you pay attention on da lecture u'll do fine
Prof. Huber is nice and caring. She explains everything clearly and makes herself available with office hours almost every week. I like her lecture although it is a bit boring but the materials are crystal clear. Recommend to students who are good in chem. Also, don't forget to go to SI. I realized that SI is very helpful!! Good Luck :)
She is a very helpful professor, one of the best lecturers at PCC. She writes everything you need to know on the board, so makes note taking easy. Her tests are based on her notes and Study guides. Final was very easy and basic. But you do need to work hard on your own in order to understand the material
She explains everything clear. The lecture s not go so fast. Very helpful. Take her you guys wont regret.
Explains well. Tests on material not covered, and impossible to work out. Dislikes questions on material she just talked about. Did 3 teacher team teaching-every 2 weeks change teachers. Bad class for students. Returned hwk night after exams, so you never knew what probls you needed to correct before exams. Take another prof changed major from chem
She is a very good professor. Her lectures are organized and she takes the whole time to explain. She also does demonstrations in class which is kinda cool. She posts a lot of practice problems on canvas that are just for u to practice and they are really helpful. Her test and quizzes are challenging, but if you practice and study you'll be fine.
Best teacher in North America. If you want to learn and know what you are doing. Take her. She is extremely nice and crystal clear. You will always know what she is saying and the tests are pretty easy.
Huber is nice and kind but she grades hard. She will take away your points if you are wrong in significant figure.
She's okay. I wouldn't put her on a golden pedestal like most people here say. She's probably the best you can get for 1B, but don't expect her to make it easy and clear. The material is hard and she puts in an average amount of care and effort to teach it.
Odd combo of hard & helpful. Inflexible about many things, yet offers math workarounds for calculations. Good lecturer. Doesn't like DSPS forms so take that into account. Encourages students to go to office hours.
She is a nice woman, but her tests do not align with her lectures. She puts things on the test you've never seen before. She explains pretty well, but can be hard to approach. She's a tough B, maybe C. If you're looking to pad your GPA, do not take.
Tough Grader. Pay attention to details and must study hard, attend office hours.
She marked me down for not showing units in my work and marks you down for skipping steps in your work even if your answer is right with the correct sig figs. Very fair professor though, lectures are crystal clear and she provides you with problems via Canvas that she writes herself to help you study and to understand how she writes her tests
Mrs. Huber is a wonderful professor. Her lectures are very clear and you can tell she loves chemistry. She does have quizzes about every week or so but as long as you take good notes you'll be fine. A lot of people say she's a hard grader but I don't agree (all science profs check sigfigs). But, if you want an A you do have to to try.
Pretty horrible to part-time professors. Saw some things during a class that I did not like. Seems nice but is not genuine nor professional.
One of the clearest professors in my life. She's so experienced and explain things very well in 1B. Helpful and will learn a lot if u go office hours. -1 point on every quiz and test for wrong sig figs and pretty tough grader for not showing all steps. Do tests and quizzes step by step and study her stude guide on canvas will ensure ur A.
I have to say Huber's class is too hard!! 1B is harder than 1A; I took her class in the spring and it was brutal. Tricky quizzes and difficult exams. Many assignments and need to study all day in order to get a good grade. However, result is good. Not recommend to students dont have good background of chem and seriously, you need to work a lot!!
AMAZING LECTURES! But tests and quizzes can be tough. You really need to put in a lot of time and effort. PRACTICE THE PROBLEMS SHE POSTS ON CANVAS. They are really helpful. As for Labs, she does explain it beforehand. Got an A.
Prof. Huber is the best! Her lecture is very clear and she provides practice problems on Canvas for us to prepare the quizzes and tests. Her grading is very clear and as long as you ask questions when you have and put your effort, you can do well in her class. She is there for you and answer questions and very knowledgeable in Chemistry.
You DEFINITELY should take her. She is the best teacher ever!! Her lecture is crystal clear and hilarious sometimes. I never took a nap during her lecture. Love her teaching style and her passion towards chemistry. She is a fair grader on exams and quizzes too. Do her practice on canvas and study some of the textbook problems, you will get an A.
I don't know why her rating is low. She is as easy as Ansari, but with better lecture! Her lecture is so good and lets you feel energize. She has passion and super approachable! Only test what she lecture and won't have a surprise. Wonderful wonderful class!
Cool professor overall. Her tests are a little bit more challenging than Ansari's but her lecture more engaging than Ansari's. She demonstrates cool experiments in class. Her final was relatively easier than her tests.
She's a really great professor. If you did well in Chemistry back in high school, you'll do fine in this class. Her lectures are extremely clear so much so that you don't need to read the book.
She is an awesome teacher. Her lectures are very clear and understandable. She does not teach just to teach but she wants her students to actually learn about what they are doing and why they are doing it. Tests and quizzes are very much based off her lecture notes. Take notes!! You should definitely take her class. Don't even think twice.
Shes a really good professor. Her lectures and notes are amazing. She is very clear with her expectations. Quizzes and tests are pretty hard and shes a bit of a tough grader and expects a lot. Would recommend and take again
Pros - She is truly passionate with her lectures and she is also extremely caring, and willing to help. - clear instructions. Cons - deduct points for late assignments even if its just by 15 mins.
She is a tough grader, probably the hardest chem professor, however, she gives amazing lecture. I think you should take her if you are chem major.
I took her class while in High school. Inspired me to do chemistry and I am about to graduate with a degree in chemistry UC Berkeley. Arguably the coolest professor ever at PCC.
She is an amazing lecturer! Her class isn't a cake walk, but it isn't hard either; if you put in the time and effort, an A is attainable. There are quizzes every 1 - 2 weeks; more so every 2, but she'll give you a schedule of when the quizzes are. You probably don't need a book; her lectures are sufficient and there's the internet. Labs are easy.
She might appear tough at first and the material of the class is very heavy. However, she is such a great teacher and she really teaches you the stuff. I learned everything that she taught me and I would say this is an easy A if you just come to class, take notes and do her homework and study assignments. Her exams are hard but final is so easy.
Professor Huber is by far my favorite chem professor at PCC. she is dedicated, smart, and really makes you work for an A. She transitioned well into the online format and made learning more manageable. She is very straight forward when lecturing and gets straight to the point which i really appreciate. She is tough so don't expect an easy A
