Professor Harrison is easily one of the best professors. His ethics class is outstanding. Even if you do not have to take Ethics--everyone should take this class; preferably with THIS professor. You will use the book, you will have to think, and you must be a responsible student, but it really is not that difficult and the payoff is well worth it

I love this class & the teacher is excellent. Take anything he teaches because he will challenge you to think deeper, go farther, & learn more. When he says read the text, he means it. Study the material & attend the lectures & you will do well. There are no surprises on the all essay quizzes. They are very straightforward, no tricks. GREAT CLASS!

He's the best professor ever...always turn off ur cell phone when in his class, u must read the book, & just as easy as it is to pass his class, it's as easy to fail. Never take his class for granted b/c it could back fire on u. He's easy to work/w, easy to talk to, will help u in any ways he can, and loves what he does. The class is wonderful.

This professor is absolutely horrible. All of his assignments are voluntary, but if you want to pass you need to do them. He is very biased and gets an attitude with you if you ask questions. Takes FOREVER to grade assignments and quizzes. He doesn't explain the material at all and thinks you know the material right away from the readings.

Although I ended with an A, I was shocked. I wish I had taken it online or with another professor just to have saved my stress and workload. Professor Harrison gives intense amounts of reading and your grade is heavily weighted on the exams. I hardly understood anything with him. Warning to NOT TAKE HIM! I ignored his ratings and 100% regretted it.

Don't ignore the negative reviews on this guy. He is very rude, has no actual lecture, (He just reads the entire time), has no clear grading criteria, has no slides, he gives assignments that don't count towards your overall grade because grading them is too much work since he decided to teach 7 classes that semester. (His own words.)

do not take this class. his teaching style is sitting on a chair in the middle of the room and talking a mile a minute. if you miss anything in class you are screwed because their are no power points to try and learn and teach yourself. he assigns videos to watch that are over an hour long and wants a four paragraph response. save yourself stress

Good professor, if you listen to him you will pass. Read all the stuff he tells you to and actually study for the tests.

Professor Harrison's Humanities class is probably the easiest of all his lessons. If you actually show up to class, take notes, and are engaged in the conversation, you're guaranteed to pass. Professor Harrison does assign videos to watch, and they can be upward to 45 minutes long. But if you engage and do your work, his class will be a breeze.

Professor Harrison lectures very heavy. He expects the class to participate and read the previous readings from the textbook. I would say take this class if you are interested in philosophy and looking for a challenging course. I started out rough but went to his office hours and he helped me get my grade up for the final exam.

his lectures made ZERO sense, he begins to ramble on about things and expects us to know everything about humanities prior to even starting the class. If you enjoy humanities take the class, if not do not take this class. i hated every second. i had to drop.

I took this class my freshman year and boy was I in for a surprise. I somehow ended with a B. You HAVE to read, watch videos, take notes and then come to class with 100% focus. He lectures the whole time and expects you to reciprocate often. His tests are pretty hard but passable with a lot of studying. Go to his office hours if you are struggling.

The guy clearly cares a ton about what he is teaching and it makes it that much easier to learn from him. Show up and pay attention and the class is very straight forward. Professor is a very enjoyable guy and takes a lot of time outside of class to make sure he is giving us the best study material possible.

This professor is the best he makes you wanna learn about the topic. How he teaches is amazing to me. He is very straightforward towards everything. For the people that is saying his class is hard is the ones that is lazy. Nothing about his class is hard. If you have the chance to take his class take it. (Humanities /HUM2020)

If you want an interesting and engaging prof and you genuinely enjoy learning, you will like this class. Yes you have to read. Yes you have to participate. Yes you have to actively listen in class. I think people forget that college is supposed to be at least a little bit challenging. I loved this class, one of the best professors I've ever had.

The only people leaving bad ratings are kids who didn't want to put in any work or pay attention in class. It is heavily based on reading, participation, and active listening, but Prof Kermit is amazing and his lectures are both entertaining and engaging. He truly wants every student to succeed but you won't get an easy A just handed to you.

I really do not recommend this professor. He is extremely passive aggressive and has never emailed me back. There were only 3 tests and like 6 assignments the whole year, meaning if you don't do well on one, your entire grade goes down by so much. He is a very harsh grader and his tests are all short answer. Very rude professor do not recommend!!!!

He was very fun and passionate about what he taught. As long as you pay attention and are respectful, you'll have a good time. It takes a bit of brain power to understand what he talks about sometimes, but it's def worth.

I enjoyed the class a lot. You need to attend the lectures, read a good amount of the material, and generally pay attention, but if you do that it's a great class. It makes you think and reflect a lot, and the level of effort you put into the class is completely dependent on how much previous education in social science and philosophy.

He was absent for over half the semester, leaving notes on the door so I had to waste my time walkin to class. Once, a student had to check his Instagram after he was 15 minutes late to find he was partying in Daytona. He failed all my assignments once I told him how I felt hence my C. Graduated cum laude from FSU and this is 1 of my 2 Cs.

Not having taken a philosophy class, it was very challenging, especially the exams. However, the first exam does give the layout and a better idea of the rest. Professor Harrison is a great teacher who is passionate and breaks down lessons in engaging, entertaining ways. The curriculum was exciting, as I still think about the material years later.

He was literally the best professor I've ever had. He's not big on grammar he just wants the work completed on time and participation in class. He communicates very well. He doesn't give out may assignments and his lectures are interesting. Please be sure to always speak to him. His class was the safest space if ever been in
