This class is ALOT of memorization, so if you don't have time to dedicate to this class I would say wait to take it. The tests are rough because its SO much information in one test. Ms. Chancey answers promptly and is a great help when needed.

She is a great teacher, I had her for med term also, which I suggest you take first. Not to many assignments, the study guide is helpful, you have to know the material pretty good, tests were hard.

This class is an easy B. I took this class online (recommended). There is 1 online quiz per week, no homework. The midterm and final are on campus. As long as you study, you'll do just fine.

Professor Chancey is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Makes class funny and enjoyable. Exams can be difficult, but as long as you study just little bit, you can make an easy B. Over all a great professor! Grading scale is 94-100 for an A, so I'm finishing with a 92 B+.

She made the class really interesting. The grade scale sucks (94-100 A). There is no making up exams in the class, but she drops your two lowest grades. We had one exam a week which was fairly easy (if send some time studying), and attendence isn't mandatory, just don't miss too many classes.

Great class. While you have to memorize a lot of words, that's what medical terminology is. Student who don't do well or don't like this class are lazy students who don't study!

Can't believe that last couple of comment. Ms. C is a fabulous teacher. She works so hard to teach her students. She is clear, direct and a lot of fun. Her tests are really hard and she expects you to think. She does not spoon feed her students but you really learn in her class. Best teacher I have ever had in the health sciences.

Fabulous Class. I learned so much. Mrs. Chancey is wonderful! She gives you a lot of great information and lets you practice a lot. We worked on the board doing drills which really helped. She will do study groups if you need more help. She is a super fabulous teacher!!!

This is a plug and chug class. No matter who your teacher is you are still going to have to make your flash cards and memorize your terms before each test (there is one a week). Mrs. Chancey doesn't take attendance and she will drop your two lowest test grades (14 total) if you have a 94 or higher at the end of the term you dont take the final

First of all, the grading scale is not Mrs. Chancey's fault, it is departmental. She wants compassionate and knowledgable thinkers in the health care fields so her class is challenging but extremely positive. She is a caring and exemplary role model. If she gets off topic it is usually student driven. Great class, study hard.

Kerry Chancey definitely knows how to keep a students attention. This class is not just a breeze through course and you do have to read your book, however she does provide review sheets for students to utilize before the unit exams. These really do help in preparing for the exams.

I took her for Med Terminology and it is not an easy class. You have to be studying every night just to get the concept. Kerry made is a lot easier. She was there whenever you needed help and her door was always open. She is definitely the teacher to take for this course because she knows what she's talking about and she is willing to help you out.

She gives a chance to have 3 point of extra credit per test. There is a test every week and you are allowed to drop the lowest test grade at the end. The final is optional.

This class is purely rote memorization! You have a chapter quiz every week. Really make sure you know your suffixes and prefixes. If you need help, don't be afraid to ask. If you think you are not going to get a passing grade on one, just skip it and you can take it at the end of the semester! There is no makeup/extra credit. She is great!!

You don't have to show up to class after the first day but I would recommend it. The class requires good time management and lots of studying at home. Every week there is a test. Show up to class, you will pass the exams even if you didn't study a single day out of the classroom. She tells you everything you need to know for each test.

I'm close to the end for Kerry Chancey's class and she's honestly one of the best professors I've ever had. She is super sweet and she wants you to pass! All your tests are open on canvas and you have a due date at the end of the semester to get it all done. BUT DO NOT hold on taking tests since some of these chapters can be difficult. Good Luck!

Mrs. Chancey is an excellent teacher! I've had two classes with her and she is always caring and funny and inspiring. Med Term is a lot of work and you should NOT procrastinate or you WILL suffer. The textbook is EXTREMELY useful if you can't make class but you really should attend - her lectures are so helpful.

I love Professor Chancey! She is really good at helping students memorize terms. This class is based on exams every week, but if you put in the work by studying it is not a hard class at all. You can get through this class without the textbook. Chancey makes it really easy and straight forward extra credit on almost every test. Tuesday tests, Thursday you get the new material for the next week, flashcards/quizlet will save your life. NO final, as long as you have time to study you'll do fine. Prof. Chancey was my favorite professor this semester. Although her class was very test heavy, the material is very straightforward, and she will answer any question you have. Attendance isn't taken but it helps a lot to attend the lectures. She includes lots of fun stories in her lectures and makes me want to keep going. Also, read your textbook!!

I think she is a really good professor! However, I would say the online class is very heavy. There is a 50 question exam for every weekly lecture plus a diagram quiz plus a 12 question fill in the blank. If you can manage all those assignments in one week I say take her!

An amazing professor! I absolutely loved her and thought her class was straightforward and simple (if you put in the work to study). Every assignment was a test, but there was extra credit given for each test. Use textbook for tests, and practice word building with a whiteboard!
