For the tests, GO TO QUIZLET. They'll save your life. All the tests are short answer. Pay attention when he's making a database in class on Access because you'll have to make your own. Not nice and mean.

I honestly have no idea what's going on in this class. I've talked to other students in the class and they are just as lost. The whole lecture is him just coding stuff and not actually explaining what any of it does. You sit there trying to copy exactly what he coded and you if you get behind with your code you will be behind the entire lecture.

Kerry has a bed rep mainly because people expect things handed to them but if you seriously put in effort and do the assignments then you will do good. The way to succeed on the tests is to record when he is going over the study guide, which btw is pretty much exactly the test. Go talk to him in office hours and even gives great career advice.

I see a lot of negative reviews on here but to be honest I had the complete opposite experience. He is passionate about what he teaches and wants everyone to do good. Was the class difficult? Yes. Impossible? No.

I was a bit hesitant taking professor Guilliams class in the beginning when I saw the reviews he had, but from my experience he was an amazing professor. Day one he told us he would grade us on what he spoke about in his lectures , but not to many people took him seriously on that. Do the assignments and you will do good. Amazing professor.

Guilliams was horrible, and this class was a nightmare. Lectures were unorganized, and it was unclear what we were being taught. The assigned textbook did not correlate with practically anything taught in class. He also has a reputation for ignoring emails, something my experienced confirmed. Take any other professor, doesn't even matter who.

Difficult Course. The homework tends to be very confusing and time consuming. One plus was that he is helpful during office hours but taking this class without previous STATS experience. The midterm and final have focus on R-programming and Excel. The course is very fast paced in class and your work needs to be organized exactly how he desires.

Avoid at all costs. You will not pass if you do not understand Excel. Barely any statistics is done on paper using non-excel formulas. Lectures are fast-paced, and you turn in your in-class work randomly. The first exam was on a severe curve; if not, then the average would have been 50%. Do yourself a favor and take a different professor.

He gives a very clear overview of how you will be graded and what needs to be done to be successful in his courses. Many say he is a harsh grader but if you follow the directions you will be fine. He can get a bit ahead of himself and tends to lose many people will giving his lectures. Use his office hours and you will be fine.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER! Warning: Avoid at all costs! He is a very tough grader. The homework was very unclear and confusing, it was also very time-consuming. I tried to ask others around me if they understood, but everyone was also lost. If you have to take this course, you should take it with a different professor.

Difficult material but not much work load. He wasn't very informing for things that should have been discussed more. Class average is probably a B. Also, we had multiple programming assignments that we would rarely discuss how to do prior to them being assigned. He is smart and has an engaging voice but not my type of teacher.

Passionate about statistics, material can be hard to understand. Only two tests in the class that you really have to study for as they will make or break your grade. Overall complicated and sometimes confusing lectures, but he would do everything in his power to try and make you understand if you were too lost.

The class is pretty easy if you just do the work. Idk why he has such bad reviews. Some of the homeworks were difficult to understand but were still doable. He even gave a lot of opportunities for extra credit and exams were not too difficult as long as you pay attention in class and go through ppts and text.

This is for the Microsoft Excel Lab class. This was a ridiculous class. The only reason I passed the certiport exam was because of youtube. Why are we even allowing a third party, certiport, to determine our grade in the class? Gmetrix was awful! If you want to pass this class you have to watch youtube videos about the exam.

Never in my life have I learned less in a class. I can confidently say that I know the same amount of stuff about business stats that I did before I started this class (nothing). This professor was very uptight/strict and by the book. Lectures were way too fast and boring to learn anything. only reason for A was studying the practice tests

He says to take notes from lecture but it's not really necessary and honestly I think it's more confusing to try and take notes. I didn't take any notes and just paid attention in class and did completely fine because it's pretty straightforward. If you're late to lecture by even 5 mins he will take off 20% so just make sure you get there on time.

Material wise this class is confusing, and Guilliams goes so fast in his lectures that getting lost will 100% happen. DO NOT SKIP, whatever you do don't skip class, there are in class assignments that make up a huge part of your grade and are super useful for the exams. Only two for the whole semester and theyre open book open note but still hard.
