He tries really hard to help us, but you can't understand him half the time! I wouldn't recommend his class if you can help it.
Very funny and doesn't fly by on the topics of the course. Goes into detail and clearly outlines his expectations.
Awful. gave eval. in middle of sem. then graded tests accordingly. wouldnt help when needed it. tried to fail everyone. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!
Really nice guy, tries to help out a lot. He's kind of hard to understand sometimes, but if you ask, he has no problem writing something he said on the board. Always posted study guides and notes for our class.
He sucks
Hard to understand, difficult course. I still got an A but it was really tough with his really broken english. Didnt learn a whole lot either. Nice guy though. Entertaining if nothing else.

He is very hard to understand an gives way too much information to memorize! His tests are very hard! Even though he is very hard he does try to help students and he is kind of funny!
SOOOOOO HARD. I am on the deans list every semester and I hate to say he is going to ruin this for me. He gives you seventy five places to study for map quizzes and then quzizzes over fifteen! Who can remember that much????
I HATED his class. Could not understand him. Ended up dropping the class so I could keep my GPA.
You guys are nuts and he is a great teacher. He lets you take any map quiz if you miss it. His online quizes are very easy and you are stupid if you fail from these quizes. He asks the same questions from his model questions that he post before the exam.I am either too smart or you guys aresostupid!
great teacher, can be hard, but he usually lets you get away with more than he should, i even failed his class and say this
I loved him, very excited about the class. He's from India, can be hard to understand, but very knowledgeable. I loved this class!
yeah... he's a hottie
I had a terrible time understanding this instructor, which made all of the tests difficult, because his accent was so strange. I ended up dropping it because, even with extra credit, I was still failing. Nice guy, but very hard to understand.
He is really hard to understand. If you do get some bad grades and are usually an A student, go talk to him. He'll give you some extra assignments to increase your grade!!
I HATED this class! He is very hard to understand but i have to give him credit cause he knows his stuff. He is very nice but his test are really hard even if he does give u model questions and studying for his map quizes were hard too. The old good thing about this class was he was nice to raise my grade from a C to a B for no reason.
Kashav was easy, a good teacher, and probably one of the nicest people you will ever meet on this planet. Keep an open mind and just listen to what he is saying. I mean how hard is it to study a map, facts about the earth, and more cool facts about cultures. If you dont pass his class you are obviously are not doing any of the work assigned.
took the class and earned a C but he gave me a B. i think he felt sorry for our class because we sucked so bad at geography and failed his tests. nice guy, hard to understand. suck up and he'll raise your grade.
I don't recommend this professor.
good professor
I wouldn't recommend this professor. While he is nice, he is extremely hard to understand and tests are also really hard because he purposefully tries to trick you. He'll tell you that before each test too. I would suggest trying to get a different professor if you want to take this class.
nice professor. easy test . you'll get A if you work little hard on your studies
he's great! he's my dad! i love him!
very capable
Very hard and the most competent and understanding
He is really hard but very helpful. He is devoted to students' successes. He works for students, but very hard. He wants to maintain Harvard's standard in this teaching university.
Keshav is a really nice guy and loves to crack jokes, but his accent can be pretty hard to follow. I sat in the front row and somehow became his "buddy." He used me as an example almost everyday of class so, if you don't mind utter embarassment for a good grade, be his pal.
hard to understand at first, but it gets easier when you get used to it. in-class quizzes, online tests. go to class!! (you dont know when he gives the in-class quizzes) willing to help if you need it. used the book twice. got a B, but you have to study and go to class.
I lasted two days in this class. I could not understand a word he said, and that was enough for me. I don't know what I would have gotten in his class if I stayed, but I switched professors and earned an A. I would recommend this, as I'm sure it helped my GPA.
he is a very nice teacher, he is alwasys there at the office so i can ask him anytime.
He is a Great instructor. He is not good for those who do not like to work hard and wants good grade.why the hell you are in collge if you cannot remember 75 places for map quizes. If you are in class you will pass the daily quizes, too.For God's shake never expect without work.
He maintains very high standard and helps out students a lot. He is the most caring professor I have ever seen, but never expect a grade without hard and regular perfect work. He does not bow down to students' criticism when it comes to maintaining course standards, but very reasonable when you have family problems and genuine personal problems.
Very much indepth and teaches subjects that relates to both academics and job markets. Makes assignments based on what job requirements are. Really hard if you are looking for an easy grade, but if you are looking for a challange, this is the course to take. Missing classes result into difficulties though he gives chances, work compiles a lot.
On the very first day he says no free cookies, but also says impossible to fail as long as you are attentive, regular and participate in the class discusisons and take tests /quizzes. Every example he gives relates with job & real life. Some time goes too depth for 3000 level class but he says you do not come to university to waste your money.
Hard class but useful for job. He takes care of individual students. Sometimes goes a little fast, but roams around students and if he finds students struggling, he repeats. Hope I will pass this class with a good grade. I liked it because it is relevant to what I want to do in my job.
He is not actually from nepal he is a very nice guy who likes to help the students. His accent is is british so hard to under stand.Wants to make the students work harder so that the students can do well even after the study in their fields.i u cant work hard dont take the class. But a great guy.
he is from nepal and is a great teacher
Okay,it is obvious that most of the comments written prior to this one were either written by Dr. B's pet student workers or by the professor himself.Believe me. I wouldn't advise taking him if you want to actually learn GIS/Carto.If you just want to coast through and cheat to get a grade (pretty much the only way to get a grade) then go for it!
He is helpful, understanding and teaches well. His examples are comprehensive and thought provoking. If you do all of your work than it is not hard to get an A.Some stupid people say they do not understand him.I think they are not smart enough to understand him.
Bhattarai's rating should be higher. He is extremely helpful & as long as you make an effort to complete the assignments, he will grade you well. I can't count the number of times he gave me extensions to complete projects. I used to think that his teaching methods were poor until I got an internship and realized how much I had learned. Great Guy!
If you could lower standard that will be really great. You are trying to give a lot of useful information to students, but you need to understand that you are at a non research institute. You think all the students go to grad schools, if true, your teaching is perfect, but many students might end up this as a terminal degree. You have great heart.

Great class, learned a lot. Hope I can retain all the information I gained. The teacher is really helpful every time; always available for questions and answers. Good teacher; works for student. If you want an easy grade, this is not a class for you. Work hard and get useful knowledge and good grade.
I am surprised to see all these comments. All i can say is he wants students to learn. He is a really good teacher.Lazy students hate him. He have been to many countries to gain his many degrees. He is smart. People argue about his language skills because they do not understand English.
Very helpful and cooperative, but you do not want to bluff him. Tell him everything very openly including your grades and performances in other classes, he is there to help you any time including weekends and evenings, but if you tell him something different, then you do not want to be close by him. He will be after you. Very caring but demanding.
Very cooperative; expects a lot from students. Available when needed. Very friendly, but you need to keep promises. If you say, see you at 9.00 am and come at 9.30 am, will ask you several questions. Course content is very helpful for career path. He is very accommodative to teh needs of students.
Please do not make students work so hard. They will forget concepts soon, if they do not go to Cartographic jobs. For map makers, it is good, but for students taking for a required upper division geography class, it is too vast. Helpful when needed.
Very helpful and understanding. Explains the concept well, why we need to know certain things and what are their relevancs in job career. Good teacher.
A lot of work and very challenging. Useful reading materials and problems assignments. Requires higher level of learning skills to read and answer all assigned materials.
A lot of work invovled. Tries to impose GIS and Remote Sensing. Some quantitative analyses are really informative. I hope I had knowledge of GIS and Remote Sensing to grasp all the concepts of urban planning. Good teacher and knows students' problems. Tells jokes to energize students.
A lot of work. Probably, it will be better to make two courses for one course. Needs a lot of data space.
Course is taught with theoretical approach as students did not like the use of remote sensing and gis. The teacher wanted to use some mathematical models, but students did not like it. The teacher is cooperative and knowledgeable. Assigns a lot of reading materials and asks to write research papers.
Very useful but challenging. There is no single textbook for this course. A manual would be useful. Teacher is availbale when needed. Course has a lot of field applications if one can grasp the concept. Good teacher, slow pace and a little medium standard rather than research approach would make him a good teacher.
Hard but useful. Software is very complex, but teacher explains the functions well.
Good course. A lot of reading materials. Teacher wants the application aspects from different theories. Provides feedback very quickly with useful comments. Late submission of assignments late grading, early sumossion, early grading with feedback.
oh my god i think most of the comments are written by professor himself. he is a nice professor but hard to understand most of the time.
Assignments required a lot of research. He was nice and cooperative. I missed classes twice, he was flexible after I told him my conditions. Gave a reasonable grade.
Demanding but useful.
Good course. I am hoping to find a job with the skills I gained from this class. Hard, but teacher is helpful, if approached. Always available for consultation.
He is a excellent professor.I thoroughly like his classes. He is not so strict and helps you in every possible way. Although, i don't used to like geography,i loved his classes and enjoyed my 2 semesters with him.
Excellent! He makes every concept clear, helps students a lot when needed. His office is in different building from computer lab but comes to open lab once requested. He is opened to any criticisms and timely replies phones and emails. Expects much from students.
He devotes his time for students. Very helpful though his assignments are little harder.
I had Dr. Bhattarai many years ago and still remember him fondly. He taught intro to geog during summer. I loved his class. Spent lots of time filling out maps and reading, but thoroughly enjoyed his class. He always came in with a smile and was funny when he taught. When I started this class I thought new zealand was in europe!Turns out its not
Great - GREAT - teacher. He was very helpful and the class was fairly simple. There was a lot of busy work like answering several questions per week, but most of them could be found online. He seems like a very, very nice guy. Taken online.
Though the course was oriented to geography, it was really a useful class. I would say the most useful for criminal justice career goals. The teacher was easy to access by phones and emails. Very cooperative, but rigid on deadlines. Reading materials were little harder but really useful. This course has international perspectives. Liked the class.
This is an online class. The teacher was available any time at his cell phone. Explained answers when asked. He gave tests and grades very timely. Discussions were hard and graded them hard. Test questions were challenging, but were from the lecture notes and textbook. Summation, creative writing and discussion were hard and demanding but useful.
This is in-class. The teacher is very dedicated to teaching. He replies questions promptly. He designs several in-class exercises of his own and enforces students to finish them during the class period. He takes comments if these in-class exercises are useful from professional point of view. I often finish them on time. I really liked this part.
I thought Cartography is drawing pictures. First this class was very difficult to use GIS software, but instructor made it so easy. It was small size class. Keshav gave time one-on-one and raised my interest level. Now I know how to make 3D pictures with location information. I liked the election maps we made for Presidential election 2012.
good class. he is very helpful. though his pronunciation is difficult, he writes on the board and makes things clear. he is a man with good intention, understands students' problems.
Great teacher. Provides all the information that is needed for the class. If you attend his classes on a regular basis, you cannot fail his tests. He will tell you everything twice if he is asking some questions from that section. Sometimes pronunciation is little harder but listen to him closely, you will be fine.
The teacher is helpful. Listens to your problems closely and tries accommodating your needs. Demands in-depth studies, but helps to explore resources. Assignments are given on time but often times extensions are given if there is a demand for that.
I really enjoyed this class. Round around the world was a fantastic experience to write. I will keep this record for my future, if I travel around.
i really like discussion and creative writing parts. exams were fair, but little lengthy. he is open to students' problems and listens to students and provides solutions immediately over the phone and emails.
i did not like him first, but later as started connecting geography with world events, it became really fun. writing an essay on world in 142 days was truly a fun. i learned a lot of culture, land and places, and learned how to get connected with the world.
Better reduce the number of creative writings to 2. Give fewer than 75 questions per one midterm. Good course. To learn about cultures, ethnicity, and agriculture, this is the best course for all levels. The instructor goes by syllabus.
Good course to know about the world. If you attend his classes regularly, you cannot fail. He makes you practice many exercises in the class. Talkative about CNN news though.
This course involves a lot discussion on the Blackboard. Professor demands a lot of work on practice questions before the test. exam questions comes from practice questions, but require a lot of thinking to chose right answer. not keeping time limit for test is a good part of his test. he responds email immediately, you can ask questions to him
good class, probably, make fewer discussions and two essays. give fewer questions for the final. good course, i liked the way professor informs students each time to do the work.
He is very helpful; replies promptly by phone or email. Requires heavy readings, but very challenging. Focuses more on mapping aspects. He believes all crime mappings should have theoretical bases. Easy to receive good grade, but too picky at some point.
Probably, a little lower of instructions would help those who do not have GIS background. Exercises are simple once understood but for hybrid class--meeting twice in a month makes class harder than it actually is. Replies promptly when asked and provides solutions too. I wish there is a lower level class before this class.
there should have been prereq for this course. computer literate can easily excel in this class, but for non-computer students, it takes time to familiarize.
whatever he teaches in the class, questions come from the lecture note. you need to listen and ask him questions. he will repeat. if he repeats certain things more than once that means he will ask this in the text. loved map tests.
Very picky, but provides chances to redo work to improve grades. Uses Google Earth a lot and emphasizes on GIS too much. Tries to make the course interesting, I wish he was a native English writer. Uses difficult English words sometimes.
Too many quizzes in the class, but they are good to get good grade. I wish fewer places are given in study guide for map quizzes. Practicing many places for map quizzes too much.
This guy makes gis course hard but listens to students' complaints seriously and apply. It is easy to pass this class ONLY if attended regularly. I will suggest not to take this class hybrid--take either fully online or fully in class. He should make exercises simpler because not everyone looks for challenging exercises. Talk less, speak loud.
This professor is super nice and knows a ton of stuff about the world. He really wants his students to pass his class with an A so he'll help you every step of the way. All of his tests are online and all his quizzes are pretty simple if you pay attention in class and the paper at the end of the semester is total cakewalk!!!
This teacher is really nice, but really uneasy too. Telling him problems honestly, he will do all possible from his level; if he is not convinced, you get nothing from him. Very helpful, gave me opportunities to retake tests, but interrogated me to check if it is not due to blackboard problems. He available anytime when needed, gives answer idea.
A good guy, very funny, jumps in the class. Gives plenty of opportunities.
Though work load is okay, his responses to phone or email are amazing. Will get back to you very quickly. Due to slow internet, i missed several assignments. Spoke wtih him on the phone, talked for sometime and gave me opportunities to make up. good guy; he sounds like Indian. has many examples from asia. i wish he has english actions.
He teaches geography as a mixture of economics, politics, religions, geology, and culture. Sometimes goes into too details when asked a simple question. He thinks geography is everything, but I guess, it is not. He thinks immigration, population, employment all geography--making interesting but harder. He has strong Asian accents.
Hard course. Provides ESRI examples a lot, but his exercises are very involved.
I hated this class, it was hard as he imposed regular quizzes. i thought my grade was d or c despite my 3.9 gpa. After seeing my final grade A i am surprised. I never knew he puts weighs in each class activity to determine grade. attending classes, taking note, doing all works he assigned, it is easy to get a A. So glad now after long hours work.
His grading systems are peculiar. Divides grades into different sections. I did not get it. He argues his techniques help students get good grades. He will spend five minutes each class telling about how his grading systems test many abilities, but I am puzzled with his grading systems. Working his own way.
He is a funny guy. I like this class; though he gives five points quiz each day, he makes the class funny telling jokes and stories. Within three weeks of the class, it is almost sure to know what my grade will be because his tests are very transparent and clearly laid out.
He is a good teacher. Helps student a lot.
He has fixed schedules. I missed three exams due to family problems. He allowed me to retake all the tests. I am caught up now. Provided good feed back. Demands more from students, but that wis why I took this class for. Overall, I am learning good things especially when he makes us write Chpater overview and asks us to relate with our career.
You can't understand him at all with his very thick accent. Most of the questions on his tests aren't anything you learn in the lecture.
His thick accent makes lectures tiresome.
If you attend his class regularly, it is difficult to fail this class. Cares students a lot.
Except for his Asian accent, he is the best caring professor even in gen ed classes. Other professors ignore gen ed classes and let students rule. He is a different monster. For the first week, it is hard to understand him but after that you are used to listen to him. He would write on the board, if asked to repronounce what he said. He cares.
He goes above and beyond if students ask questions and need help. He opens offices even during hoilidays if students ask for. Very caring.
Very helpful and funny. If your grade isn't where you want it, you can possibly bring it up one letter grade. But, make no mistake, he will make you work very hard for it.
He will make you work hard, but very informative. I liked the way this guy made you write overviews of chapters and apply to your carriers. Good course, sometimes fee heavy work, but reasonable.
This is both hard and easier. Attending class and doing class assignments will be enough to pass this class. any day absent means, lower letter grade because he covers new concepts in each class. Very helpful, but the depth of his lecture depends upon how students come prepared to the class.
I was sick for many days. I called him to recover my classes. We met at his office. He allowed me to do all missing tests. Did not take off points for late, but graded really hard. I wish he does not have Asian accent; I liked his responses a lot. He would make you work though. Ask every time, did you learn new ideas or not. Gives good feedback.
He is down to the Earth. Understands students's problems very well. Says, he does not distribute free cookies; gives good grade. Reality matters what he repeats.
Hard teaxherand a lot of work everyday to approved attendance; took a lot of time out for other classes
One of the most caring teachers at UCM. Will give plenty of time to finish assignments. Twice he gave me opportunity to resubmit when my first answer was not complete. Good feedback.
He makes you work for good reasons. I found him most caring who accepts assignments even late, but everything must be turned in good standing. Gives plenty of opportunities but makes it mandatory to turn in every assignment. Learned more than needed for 2000 level course.
This was on online class with little to no instruction from the instructor. Very little feedback on why he grades badly. Nothing but chapter reviews which were graded harshly. Worked 18 hours a week for this class and still got bad grades although I included everything that he asked in every paper. Also he didn't correct wrong grades on tests.
He may not care about the deadline if enough justification is given to him but would not exempt without work. He does not average grade, needs all assignments turn in even after the deadline. Makes you work hard. Informative class though.
Accent is little thick, but you get to used to it within a week. Good guy, tells jokes and makes class enjoyable. Class discussions are very helpful.
Very helpful and caring man. Has good humors. take classes from him to learn more about Asian countries and their cultures.
Understands the difficulties of students and repeats statements, if asked for. Very regular; exams are crystal clear and well framed.
Good teacher. You wont fail this class if you are regular. Prepares you for the exams and debates, Well understanding and very friendly.
Nice to know very interesting cultures around the globe. Never thought before that cultures matters to business. Enjoyed it.
His papers are long and class is hard but he will work with you especially if you put in the effort. He's a great professor who knows his topic and will help you as much as he can.
he works for students. tell your problems to him, he will find solutions to your problems. very cooperative but expects quality work.
Great class. Very inspirational to connect dots. It helped me know the news better when i watch tv and see news around the world. Most interesting was the changing geography of east Asia after the visit of president Richard Nixon to china.
take class from him for sure success, but you need to work.
never taken a class from a professor who cares so much about student success. Reminds assignments' due dates repeatedly. Gives plenty of opportunities to imprrove your grades with clear understanding. Great guy.
He rocks. Very caring to students. Success is sure if you attend his classes.
very friendly guy, hilarious, funny. good teacher. comes early and leaves class late.
Good intention, excellent teacher. He is truly an educator.
Taking a class from him means sure success. Though he is a little hard at the beginning due to his Indian accents, he will do everything to make the concept clear to his students. He will give plenty of chances to succeed. Looks for quality work. Controls the class very tightly. No cellphones entertainments in his his class.
He is a very caring and knolwgeable professor. Provides good education.
Thick accent, difficult to understand at the beginning but you will understand him after some time. Controls the class; releases class only after time is over and even more by one or two minutes, dedicated to teach.
He is a good guy and works with students well.
He is a caring teacher and makes every concept very clear. tell him your difficulties, he will help you as much as a teacher can help.
Dr. B was a very dissapointing teacher. He gave us little feedback on our weekly papers (and gave out very low grades), was unclear about directions for anything we did in the class, and offered little help studying for a test or quiz. Would NOT reccomend him to anyone.
I have never taken a class from a professor who is so caring to his students. He cares about each and every steps of students and about their success. He does not like using cell phone in the class. Students using cell phone and side talking in the class will not like him. I learned a lot from him and he is one of my favorites. I like his classes.
Mr. Bhattarai is one of the best professor I have ever taken classes at UCM. His teaching are outstanding, very clear and makes the concepts very useful. I liked the way he inserts side examples that touched my mind. I learned many new concepts from this class, such as why gas price goes high and low.. he also talked about Iran Iraq issues, Great
Challenging but very useful course. He is available any time. Just send email, he gets back promptly. Needs some background of internet for this course, but starts from very basic of Google eArth. I learnt some new ideas to shape my professional job.
Dr. KB is a good teacher. His overview on Middle East was outstanding; very informative, but his country level study was very geografic. He is a caring guy and gives nice grade with his directions.
Couldn't understand a word he said all semester and he never seemed to give a rip. If someone said they couldn't understand then he was just like drop the class. He gave a very detailed sylabus and then didn't follow it at all. He said he was going to tell us what was on the map quiz so we could study and then didn't put what he told us on the test
He was my the MOST favorite at the University of Central Missouri. Take a class from him, be honest, grade your paper yourself as per his rubric standard, get your grade and you are done. He has thick accent but a really caring guy. Respect you a lot, but demands respect too. I think he is an Indian guy who beleives on religion. Truyly a gem.
Thick accent but does not mind any criticisms. Very clearly grading criteria. Helps you well if you try get help from him. One thing he repeats several times that if you are a good student, you will be good in all courses. I learned a lot from him. I wish he does not have thick accent and I understand everything what he says. A good teacher.
He is very caring teacher. I like his style of grading criteria. Very cooperative. Tells students you cannot fail this class.
First, I was not clear what I will be learning from this class because he asked to choose one theme out of 25 other themes. Class students chose different topics, did special research on that. The teacher posted everybody essays in a compiled form. Well researched topics, well organized. Very informative. Learned a lot from this class.
Great guy. He is the author of the text book. Really learned a lot. I have world geography in my mind now. He teaches every topic like a story and connects with history and economy. Learned more than expected.
I took this class online, and the lectures were lengthy. There were also a lot of assignments. However he cares very much about his students and wants them to get a good grade. Theres a couple of exams throughout the semester. He answers emails very fast, and is always willing to help you out. Would definitely take another class with him.
Straight A student here (with a couple B's) but this class tested me for what seemed to be no reason. Every assignment felt like it dragged too long and half the time I had trivial points taken off due to nazi-like instructions. He says the textbook is mandatory, which he wrote himself, but I never even opened it. Easy to pass, hard to get an A.
One of the worst classes I've ever taken. No schedule so you never knew when things would be assigned & then they're due the next day. Never responded to emails. Took off points for literally everything even though instructions were vague. I've kept A's in all my classes but this one had me counting to see how many points I needed to keep an A.
He is a best professor for it geography class at UCM. He touches upon every aspect of geography. Makes the subject really applicable to any areas. Love this class. Learned a lot that I never expected before. Great guy, responds to email or phone 24/7.
He is not from this country. Tells a lot about international events and connects them with geography. I learned more than I needed to learn from this course. Great ideas.
He posts two audio lectures for each chapters. Summary lecture is enough to get a perfect grade. He cares a lot, posts all necessary materials. You cannot fail this course. Good guy.
This prof's curriculum is outdated.... he is still so wrapped up in Arcmap and the reality is that ArcGIS Pro is the future of GIS and he is unwilling to adapt. I would not recommend him and he is slightly rude.
Keshav is a nice, intelligent guy, but maybe not the greatest professor. I do not recommend this course for the non-tech savvy. There are no written step-by-step, written instructions or examples for projects for what the he is asking for. Class exercises go by fast and no breaks for students to catchup. Concepts of maps is easy, ArcGIS is not.
He is one of the best guys. Despite his thick accents he makes all efforts to give the best education at UCM. You will not fail his class as long as you attend all homework.
All I would say about Dr. Bhattarai is that most of his assignments are incredibly confusing. He does his best but a lot of stuff gets lost in translation and makes it difficult. And if you're taking his online section, be wary of assignments getting uploaded with short notice. He was nice and cared about us though.
If you are regularly attending classes and checking his emails and announcements, you cannot fail his class. I was too scared at the beginning with many assignments. All these assignments add up to a GOOD grade. I got a higher grade than anticipated.
I was scared to death at the beginning with many tests. I am so happy that I ended up with a higher grade than I anticipated. He makes work hard but all hard work is rewarded honorably. His syllabus says you are taking this class to walk out with an honorable grade. Great caring guy but with little thick accents.
not a bad guy. takes phone calls and responds quickly
He is the best guy that i know as far as caring to students is concerned.
this guy provides good information on world geography. well informed. Learned a lot from this class. Post assignments on time and do not change assignment structure to pass lazy students.
a tech-savvy guy. comes up with new things each class.
Oaky guy. sends many emails. Thick accent. Sure success.
Honestly, I did not read any text, but watched his audio-visual lectures carefully. They were more than enough. Watched his lectures on computer, sat on the exam, got over 90. Very informative, details and clear lectures though you need to listen to him closely due to his slightly thick accents.
Professor Bhattarai is an awesome professor. His lectures can be a bit long at times but overall very informative. His accent is a bit hard to understand at times. Would love to take another class with him.
Wonderful experience. Takes great care of students' careers. Reminds all events well in advance. Posts long and short videos, summary for each chapter, very easy to access and learn.
He is a very caring guy. I can access him even at late night on Zoom. He helped me on several occasions. He accepted my late assignment when I was out of town for military duty.
cannot find a person who understands family issues. a kind hearted old guy. available for helps 24/7.
Teaches a wide variety of geography. reminds assignments many times. easy to follow, lot of chances to improve.
Keshav's classes can be tricky due to his accent, but engage with the material and you'll do well. The textbook is useful, and unstuck ai was a lifesaver for my exam prep. Overall, a rewarding course if you put in the work.
I'm a straight A student and anytime I had a question he responded extremely rudley and would not answer the question, these weren't terrible questions I was asking either. He gave horrible instructions for assignments as well. The class was easy once I figured it all out on my own!
If you get the chance to take Dr. Bhattarai's class, do it. I took his online PhysGeo, it included weekly readings, packback posts, and open-note tests. His lectures are short and helpful, and he does a review before each test. What stands out most is his grace and understanding when life gets in the way. I was truly lucky to have him as a Prof.
He was very straightforward with expectations as well as very forgiving if you made a mistake. Not hard to do well in the class.
I had many technological issues on the professors end during this course that I brought up to him and was told I was the problem. I even had to contact the digital learning office so that they could bring it up to his attention because he did not believe me. Overall just didn't listen to any of my problems and never fully answered my questions.
This class has assignments that are a *LOT* of busy work. Each assignment includes a multiple page report every 2 weeks, on top of the map you create for the assignment. The reports are meandering and feel like they serve no purpose whatsoever. I took this class to receive core credit, and it took up more time than any of my science classes.
