Professor Boyle is one of the best professors I've had at American. There aren't a ton of assignments in his class, but he is a fair grader and will accept a variety of answers to questions as long as you back it up and prove why your answer can work. He goes out of his way to help any students who don't understand something, and is very smart.

I cannot rave about this class enough. An 8:10 block on Wednesdays but the whole class is engaged. Very knowledgeable but is also very patient--he just wants you to succeed. Doesn't make you know every single case but wants you to have a general understanding of the constitution. If you can take him plz plz treat yourself and do it.

He is incredible, and has the best dad jokes. DO not take any other professor for American Constitution!! I am taking his class as a senior and it is totally worth it. The class is interesting, he is literally hilarious, and makes the material so interesting. He cares about his students and their success. One of the best in my 4 years at AU.

Had Boyle for Deprivation of Liberty and American Constitution. Best professor I've had. Easy class to learn and have fun. He focuses on the student's learning, not grading. Highly recommend. Be prepared to watch a lot of The Office. When Boyle brings his mustache, you know its going to be a fun class.

TAKE BOYLE FOR AMERICAN CON! Easiest class I've ever taken. Everyday when you walk in, he's playing The Office. He emphasizes the fact that he knows this class is not the most important thing in your life. So lenient on grading and late work. There are so few assignments and he literally gives you what to write verbatim so you are guaranteed an A.

If I could have Kevin Boyle teach me every class for the rest of my schooling I would. I actually learn from his class, actually enjoy it too. Plus we watched a vine and clips from The Office in class today.

What a great guy! makes all work super clear and gives you templates for everything. class is lecture style, but super clear, engaging and funny. no textbook, required readings are short. impossible not to get an A. only caveat is he only teaches at 8:10 AM, but it's worth it.

Boyle is one the best professors at AU, his course work is so easy. literally come to class and you will pass with an A. for SPA220, we had 3 easy papers, 2 of the best grades count. We had a group project, which was done in class. and you can choose to take the final or write a paper on a event/movie/march/protest. EASY.. TAKE IT!!!!

Best prof at AU! He makes 3 hour 8 am lectures fun and exciting to go to. He grades really quickly, does tons of extra credit, and his assignments are super easy and come with templates to do them. You can't fail his class unless you don't do any work. He's so funny and buys donuts for the class during group work.

Prof. Boyle just wants students to learn about the Constitution. Absolutely does not care about grades. He will give you an A if you show up/participate and turn in your assignments. Class grade is basically3 mock Supreme Court briefs, and he tells you exactly how to do them. No tests (unless you choose it as your final) and no reason to take notes

I was not really looking forward to this class, as it was a 8 am block (three hours) class. when I first walked into the class, the office was being projected on the board for early comers and I knew that this would be an enjoyable class. Professor Boyle really cared about our learning and wanted us to become educated citizens. Take a Boyle class!!

This man cares so much about his students, someone suggested the idea of an extention and the whole class automatically got one because he was concerned we were all too stressed out. But I seriously learned so much about the Constitution. Please ask him about his stories because I swear he has a crazy new story every day

Somehow he struck the balance between making a class that is extremely easy but also highly educational and enjoyable to learn. A funny, charismatic guy who also happens to have a full portfolio of personal experience to draw from to support lecture material. Extremely laid back with grading and always willing to lend a hand if you talk to him.

What a good guy! He was the prof for my first University class at 8 am. I never skipped it. He made class fun and interesting. Sometimes he brought his dog. He had great guest speakers. I learned plenty from him, even though it was an introductory class in a field I know pretty well. He really cares about each and every one of his students.

He is a really great professor if you want an easy A, but if you're looking to learn something, choose a different prof. I had a three hour 8am with him and spent most of the time not paying attention. Nobody ever does the readings or puts much effort into the work and everyone ends up with an A.

Prof. Boyle made SPA-396 (Changemakers: Justice Reform) an awesome class to take the very first semester it was offered. It was a block weekend class, and we had breaks during the four times we met. The class consisted of an individual paper and a group project based on that paper. Very helpful prof., who ensures all students succeed (A)! Take him!

Boyle is an absolutely amazing professor. He's super caring and tries his best to make sure all of his students succeed. His class is relatively stress-free and an easy A as long as you complete your work. He tells you exactly what he wants in papers and even uploads how-to videos with templates for papers. There's very easy quizzes at the end of class which you can usually find the answers in the slides. It is an easy A. Also a very nice professor who you can learn alot from if you pay attention. he does go a bit fast with his lectures. There are a couple papers but very short and easy ones.

He lays out template papers as what to include in your paper so you won't miss any info. He even goes out his way to include a video for the paper. No readings posted, no heavy readings, be prepared to discuss current events, etc. He pushes you to submit all assignments.

Professor Boyle is amazing!! I can't recommend him enough. Attendance was mandatory, but if you miss a few classes he is very understanding. All of the assignments and grading were clear. There was a decent amount of writing, but if you followed directions, it was not difficult. If you have the opportunity to take one of his classes, please do!

Professor Boyle is literally my favorite professor at AU. I took Intro to Systems of Justice with him and while it was an 8 AM, I was extremely motivated to come to his class because it was always so interesting. He puts so much effort into his presentations and is extremely quick with grading papers. I get a grade in under 20 minutes! Love him!!!

I took Boyles weekend class and it was amazing. He is so passionate about justice reform and recognized it was a weekend class so there was close to no workload besides an easy paper and an easy group presentation. There were 6-8 speakers in the 4 days of class. 100% recommend if you are passionate about justice reform.

funniest guy ever. every class feels like a hangout and he just talks about the material on the side. makes inside jokes, brings his dog every class, and is the easiest prof you'll ever take in college. he doesn't want to make your life harder, and you will genuinely learn more from his informal nature than you ever would writing essays.

I literally loved this class. It was not difficult at all -- he is incredibly reasonable and understanding. It was a 9:45am class which sucked, but I always loved his lectures. They are very interactive and he is very funny.

One of the best professors at AU. His class isn't hard, but that's because you always know exactly what he expects. You'll learn a lot. Many papers and quizzes, but they're all simple and straightforward. Easygoing and funny guy, but he's experienced in his field (former Army lawyer) and knows his stuff. Lots of speakers. I obviously like Professor Boyle for all the reasons others have listed, but I honestly felt a little bit bored by his teaching sometimes since we did not take notes during class. You just have to sit there listening to a lecture for an hour with no technology, so it was a little tough at times. Overall, I recommend him for an easy A.

I took this class in my first semester of college. Boyle was such a good professor, he convinced me to change my major to Justice and Law. He is extremely knowledgable and experienced in his field, but does not put a lot of pressure on papers or exam grades. I learned more from one class with him than my five other JLC classes I've taken since.

I took Boyle for JLC-104, there's a reason he has such good reviews. He's super funny, very out of pocket, and relaxed. You're not allowed to be on your computer or take notes which scared me in the beginning but if you even listen to 50% of what he says, you're getting an A. Super easy A so long as you are never late, pay attention, and humor him. Just stay on top of the quizzes, always volunteer, and befriend the smart kids in class and you will go far. The course is super heavy on group projects and the quizzes can sometimes be worded weirdly.

I took this class online during the summer. He is very flexible and understands that this is a summer class and people have jobs and other responsibilities. One day async where you watch a movie and write a paper using a template. The other day is on zoom and is a lecture. If you cannot attend you just watch the recording and submit a quiz.

Prof Boyle is passionate, funny, and keeps class entertaining. He managed to get a ton of Olympic athletes and other respected sports members to be guest speakers. I would recommend this class to people who like sports, law, or want to take an interesting class (so everyone). It's clear he cares about his students and wants them to do well!

You will not regret taking this class or any other class taught by Boyle. Assignments are easy to follow and clearly laid out. You get to talk to former olympic athletes which was so cool. He tells a lot of funny stories and the lectures are never boring. He's not the most conventional teacher, but he's the best and wants everyone to succeed.

Boyle is a really great professor and definitely makes his classes worth attending. His lectures are really easy to follow and he posts slideshows for you to use when taking quizzes so they are pretty easy. Papers aren't bad as long as you follow the outline exactly. Attendance policy is STRICT though so make sure you show up every class.

I LOVE PROF. BOYLE! I have taken 6 of his classes for a reason. It is an easy A, but you can trip yourself up by missing class or skipping homework. There is little to no work outside of class. All the projects are fun & he gives more than enough time. No quizzes, tests, or textbooks. He's funny and caring.

Great dude and a really fun class. Made an 8 am block interesting enough for a majority of the class to show up every week. Assignments are related to the week's topic and are very easy. Personally, having to just sit there and somehow learn all the material without taking notes/getting tested was quite boring, but he really tries to make it entertaining and is an EXTREMELY interesting and qualified person.

Professor Boyle has very good energy and is a great JLC professor.

He's such a great sport and his lectures are funny and engaging. Lenient grader, definitely a stickler for attendance and punctuality. He's very nice and it's an incredible class. He's worth the 8 am and you will laugh and learn a lot. 10/10 recommend.

Absolutely great. He wants you to succeed — just show up on time and pay attention. I would 100% recommend

Professor Boyle is the freaking goat. I had him at 8 am, but even then, his classes are so fun that you don't wanna fall asleep. Also, he brings his dog Coco sometimes, so that's cool. Final is optional, and you finish class before Thanksgiving. It's literally impossible to fail his class, just show up on time (very important) and do the work

Professor Boyle was an incredible professor to have for Encounter AU and I look forward to having him in the future. He is incredibly accessible outside of class and is quick with emails. He ensures all students are taken care of and that he is able to give each one his individual attention no matter how much time is available!

Boyle is easily one of the best professors at AU. His Sports Management class is engaging, practical, and grounded in real industry insight. He has a rare ability to make complex concepts feel accessible while also pushing students to think strategically and creatively. His enthusiasm for the subject is contagious, and his guidance impacts you.

He is a very nice guy. He gives extensions, grades fairly, and is always happy to help.

Professor Boyle was a very kind man he just didn't understand that no one wanted to participate in a one credit core class at 9:45 on a Friday morning. Attendance was mandatory and you will get docked points for tardiness but he was a very nice professor and was accessible outside of class.

Best Professor at Au. Really funny, cares about his students and making class a good time. Just don't be late or absent and you will get an A. Super nice guy makes a very boring course super fun at times
