Although I passed his class successfully, I found it difficult to keep up with HW, which he only checked for 2-4 problems when grading. (So if U don't complete ALL the problems, UR playing Russian Roullette with UR grade!) Somewhat dry teaching & personality, and pretty strict, too! Doesn't specify Xactly which type of problems to study for exam.
He's an OK teacher, sort of dry. I think he was dissapointed with the class for not asking for more help. My only real complaint is I don't understand exactly how I got a C in his class (I was expecting a B).
i can't wait for the semester to be over!

not helpfull, seems to have some other issues hes dealin with, a little distracting when hes talking to the wall and not his students

VERY MEAN
HORRIBLE teacher! WARNING: DO NOT TAKE KEVIN BREWER!!! He doesn't know how to teach and is always confused by what he says. He always believes that what he thinks is always right and doesn't listen to what students have to say. It's either his way or the highway. Also, if he doesn't like you there is a great chance you will not pass his class.
I couldn't believe it. A teacher that gets upset when u smile. He kicked my friend out of the class because she was smiling. He's a bigg pain in the a$$. He's real strict, and his teaching method is so disorganized, I couldn't understand and I dropped his class. NOT RECOMMENDED!!
Donot take this teacher for he is the worst ever and you will be wasting your money.
So in the beginning i would have said this guy was terrible but i think it is just the way he comes off. I think he is trying to hard to be older than his time. His teaching methods work well because he wasnt really up on the technical terms. second time taking stats, and I am WAYY more successful with this professor...dont take JIAN! lame jokes :)
so confusing
I had a very difficult time with Kevin. He cannot explain anything so it makes sense, and insists on being anal about everything. You must write the exact answer to get it right or points will be taken off, He made several errors on most of the tests graded in our class which leads me to think that he grades on how well he likes students. Bad class
He seems like he hates teaching and dislikes the students. Seems like a good guy but should find something he cares about. Focus on students being quite than trying to make math understandable. Should try teaching students like adults. So confusing. Take another teacher
i really didnt like this teacher, i cannot remember anything from this class. i never really felt i understood anything whenever i listened to him lecture. his homework was overwhelming but then he only graded one or two and the tests were confusing. i was not satisfied with this teacher one bit.

If you do not know elementry algebra Excellent then this class is going to leave you behind. This teacher has no time to help you only show you what you did wrong. Very unorganized in his teaching. Come back in 10 years he might get better?
Math is my thing! I love math..but that all changed as soon as I walked into Brewer's classroom. Omg, he has to be the worst teacher I have ever taken. I didn't understand one thing he taught, because he was SOOO disorganized. I don't know how he ever became a professor. AVOID HIM and take Pinto!
I aced AP Statistics in high school. First 5 wks here were great & I didnt see why there so many bad comments. Walked out of the first test thinking I got an A+ but got it back with a C- (most of the class got Ds/Fs). He uses ridiculous trick questions & gives no partial credit. Listen to the comments on this page! Avoid this teacher! I wish I did
Talks down to his students. Very disrespectful. Openly discourages questions by making fun of the question/person asking. Very sarcastic. Feedback is slow so you are building new information ontop of a lack of mastery on the previous chapter. Tests/quizes sometimes cover information that was not included in homework or barely lectured on.
He yelled at one person. He accused her of using a cell phone under her desk. She held up her hands...look no phone she was just anxous and handwrinng. He didnt even apologize! She looked like she was going to cry. This guy does not like teaching at a community college.
So now at the end of the semester I have to say that he definitely grades a little too hard but he is a good teacher & I'm glad I stuck out the semester and I do feel that I learned a lot. Would I take him again.. maybe. If you're weak at math take someone else if your strong you'll adjust to his style after a few weeks. Definitely a good guy tho.
Please beware, This teacher is literally insanly boring, and WEIRRRRRRDDDDDD!!!!
ehh he's a little bit weird but he's a lot nicer and helpful then most of these comments say. 1 thing that got me, was i couldn't make it to class but i gave my hw to my friend to turn in for me and he docked me points off my hw for not going to class...=/. says nothing about gettin marked down 4 absences
he doesn't explain anything. he jus rambles on.......on........on...
he doesnt explain things well. he says we have specific quizzes on certain chapters and lessons. but on the actual quiz day, he gives something entirely different. then ends up failing most students. 1st day of classes, many people; now: barely anybody; everybody dropped out.
He has no teaching skills and should be gone. He doesnt help the students and always skips to another chapter with out a test, then a week later, does a test. He is confusing, hopeless, and is a overall bad teacher. Be aware of going into his class! you can't even blow your nose without getting in trouble. URG!
Mr. Brewer is good teacher, he's fair, and if you put in the effort he'll help you. You have to study and even though he didn't collect homework, if you don't keep up you won't succeed. He's funny, but no nonsense, and doesn't tolerate class interruptions which is great! After his class I feel ready for higher level math courses.
Very bad teacher. He gives the work and says do it. I had my ipod on my desk not doing anything and he thought it was my phone and asked me to leave I dropped the class after that. He is very hard to pay attention to. I knew another kid that was in his class that stayed in and said there was 5 people left at the end of the year. DO NOT TAKE!!!!!!!
Do not take him! He does not understand how to teach.
I'll keep it simple...If you are great at math you will do just fine...If you are average at math and depend on a teacher to drop lowest test/quiz scores at the end of the year then you will fail. He is a stickler for details and most test material is harder than most teachers would make it. He's not a bad teacher, just a difficult one.
Brewer is the worst math teacher I've ever had. I took AP classes all through high school and I was always extremely good at math. Unfortunately, that was not the case after I took this class. He does not offer much help, assumes you already know the material, and his tests are insane. Do not take him. You will struggle all semester.
Worst Teacher I've ever had period. Don't ask questions because he will give you an answer to a question you didn't ask. I've been told by other students he is the worst teacher at Solano, and now i believe it!
He went through the book cover to back in a wink, an average of 33.33 problems per day that he will never correct, look at or give you credit for. He takes plasuare in treaking his students in his quizzes and test. Class started over full, in a good day it ended with 14 students and maybe less than half have passed. Solano is in the business of mak
He only does about one problem per section of the chapter, and just bulldozes through it all. He is extremely particular about how to set up, work, and word each problem, so do it exactlyy as he does or you will be marked down relentlessly. He isn't very helpful with questions. If I hadnt taken a stats class before I definitely wouldn't have passed
I would definitely say, if possible, take this class with a different teacher. The professor will literally go over something once and that's it. If you're lucky, twice. He will only answer one or two questions and he'll tell the class that he has to move on. He was not helpful. Definitely disappointed.
Do not take. I know this is harsh but he can not teach. Why is he still at Solano?
Do not take him. He does not know how to teach. He makes you do a ton of problems for homework and he only grades one or two of them. He speeds through everything and expects you to just know it. I don't know we he is still at Solano.
I would highly recommend taking a different teacher. He was very difficult. He only went over everything once and if you had a question, he'd answer one or two and tell the class that he had to move on. He gives a lot of homework but never goes over the work. He wouldn't allow students to come in late...even by one minute.
By far the worst math teacher I have ever had, and we are only in the 4th week of the semester. He gives a ton of hw that he never grades, and gives a quiz everyday. He marks you down on everything you do basically. He is very hard to understand and if you ask a question he doesn't give a straight answer. DO NOT TAKE HIM. Idk why he is teaching.
Incredible teacher. The way he thinks about Math opens new windows to figuring everything out. It's not about shortcuts or anything like that. Either you keep up with him or you aren't cut out for college calculus. Which is the best teaching I've receive. I know I can go after class for help. Every one else seems to want a babysitter.
Horrible. Not there to help. Doesn't clarify much. He asks students if they need help with a problem, then when given problem will not do the whole problem even when students needs help with the whole thing. After just tests the whole year, decides to have quizzes out of no where. Not recommended
Brewer is not a bad teacher, he is just very difficult. His teaching methods reflect the ideology of knowledge is earned rather than given. Consistency is present in his teaching, but it's very vague as well. If you're not one to be independent about your studying habits, then this class is not for you.
If you're unfamiliar with his approaches, then it's probably because you haven't adjusted and adapted to his thought processes. A very approachable and respectable professor; helps you when you need it, but not to the point where the answer becomes a given -- An effective method that allows the student to be absolute with his/her own knowledge.
WORST TEACHER IN THE HISTORY OF MATH!!! He is very rude, does not help his students, and will not clarify anything. He rushes through all the material. Tests are insane! When 28 out 30 students fail the first test it is the teachers doing.
Bad... Just bad. Do not sign up for his classes!
When I received my test, he chuckled at me. I got a 33% and there were possibly 6 or 7 who scored higher. The girl next to me took AP calc and only scored an 11% We dropped.
horrible teacher, cant even be a minute late, and if you are he kicks you out of class. his notes are very confusing and he def has his favorite students, if your not one of them he is rude and disrespectful towards you.
I assume these negative comments about Brewer are from weaker students who struggle to keep up with math. I used to dislike Brewer when i took Calc1, but after Calc3 I feel like a stronger math student because of his strict grading. If math isn't your interest, and just want an A, I suggest taking someone easier if you're not up for a challenge.
It’s probable that the students who enjoy Brewer’s classes are either good at math or enjoys math. That is, if you take into account that conceptual/analytical math is tantamount to a good challenge. I've had Brewer for the entire calc series. Mind you, I actually think he's a good prof, just extremely methodical, conceptual and unpredictable.
Brewer is a sub-par teacher, you have to be pretty knowledgeable of concepts and know how to take in new material in a small amount of time. He is very specific and technical when it comes to all your work, if it's not what he taught you're gonna see a B exam turn into a C exam. 4 Exams, 1 final, do the MAC assignments and study from the bool
He is very rude in my opinion, I LOVE math and I always understand it, I'm very good at math but after taking math with him, i think I'm not as smart as i thought i was, he knows how to teach but the problems that he gives you are wayyy too hard and the quizzes are based off the homework, I just want to imagine how hard his test is going to be :/
Calculus is hard as it is, but he makes it even harder. He over-complicates most of the concepts of calculus and he doesn't answer questions that often. The pace of the class is really fast. Also, if you are stuck in his class, cherish the textbook, because you will be relying on it a lot.
recommend if youre strong in math
Kevin was a fairly difficult professor to work with. He's always reluctant in helping out students in need and seemed very standoffish/unapproachable. I would only recommend this class if you know all there is to know about the subject, because the class is very fast-paced, and the lectures are quite confusing.
Sometimes he will mark you off for overdoing work, and sometimes he will mark you off for not overdoing work. I don't know what he wants and I am about to fail in this class. Awesome.
A hard class for sure but not impossible to make an A. Make sure you're on top of Algebra and Trig. If math isn't your strong suit, perhaps take this class only if your other classes are easier. The homework isn't graded, but DO IT. Read the chapter and go the extra mile. No phones in class and do not ever be late (it's rude anyway).
Not afraid to embarrass you. Is very abstract when it comes to lectures. Expects you to know it all. Does not go over everything thoroughly. Terrible at lectures (tends to jump around); always seems so unsure of what he's saying. Teaches the class as if you're a math major. Never likes to go over any hw answers; hesitant when it comes to helping.
Professor Brewer is very knowledgeable and demonstrates that in his lectures; however, I had difficulty trying to understand all the information he was teaching to us at the pace he was going. I found the quizzes to be frustrating because I had points marked off for doing too much work and also for not enough. He is knowledgeable and very strict.
Come in less than 1 minute late or get up to use bathroom/sharpen pencil or anything, counts you as absent. Quizzed everyday, only gives you 5 minutes. Makes AT LEAST 3 errors a day on problems. Have a question? He'll tell you to see you after class, after class he leaves. Marks you wrong if you get an answer right because it wasnt the way HE gotit
Mr. Brewer is a great math instructor. I found that he focused on a lot of theory to back up many of the concepts in the course, but his examples are clear and his exams and quizzes are fair. If you pay attention, take good notes, and focus on the examples he provides as well as the ones in the book, you will do well.
If you're reading this, walk away. He's a really good and smart teacher in my opinion but he's not the teacher that many of us students need. He has a lot of rules in class. He gives pop-quizzes every meeting. If you're late, too bad. Very tough grader. He expects you know everything. I'd say, be smart and walk away from this one. NOT HELPFUL!!!
Do me a favor and don't take his class. Don't get me wrong, he knows his stuff very well, it's just that he doesn't know when to slow down the material to make sure everyone is on the same page, majority of my class already dropped this class.
Brewer is the type of teacher that doesn't take the time to learn students names and seems uninterested if you pass or not. He lectures all class and there's a quiz everyday . He doesn't care for the work that you put in , he only wants things done his way and making sure you answer in the way he wants. I highly recommend not to take him
I believe people on here give Brewer a negative review because they have probably not listened to what he expects in the class/syllabus. I was skeptical about taking him because of the reviews, but I found that he is an alright professor. He is strict on attendance/grading, but it's a calculus course! Tests aren't fair as well as the homework given
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!! HE isn't good professor to work with. You are not going to learn anything.
One of the most difficult classes i've taken. I took stats in high school, yet somehow still managed to not pass. he can get sidetracked in lecture, and tries to teach too much every class. Expects a LOT of outside studying and the textbook WAS required. I recommend audio recording lectures and taking notes word for word. Good luck!
Hard class, to simply put it. Students within the class weren't given access to their grades and there is not a lot of feedback. The class is test heavy, and lectures can be seemingly rather long. I can tell that the professor clearly tries, and that statistics may be hard, but at the end of the day, 20 people dropped and withdrew out of 40 of us.
Currently taking him and love him. He tries to brighten up a lecture and makes everything accessible and willing to help. 10/10 recommend and wish I could take every class
I had him for both Calculus and Stats. I learned a lot from him. He gives weekly quizzes and has high expectations. I had questions about how he graded my first exam. He explained it in his office hours and helped me learn what I had missed. He's tough but totally worked with me to make a good grade.
I took Brewer for Calc 1. He was a good lecturer. He always had notes written up so you could take pictures if you missed something. Or he emailed the notes to me once when I was absent. He was demanding, made me work harder than I ever had before. But he explained what his standards were. And I was well preparted for calc 2.
I am honest. This teacher is extremely difficult and it is almost close to impossible to pass his class. The average grade was D and C in the class I attended, I dropped early, so I would not know the results of all the students.
Brewer is a demanding but good teacher. You have to show up and pass quizzes and exams. Homework doesn't count toward your grade. I know several students who passed with good grades. Some complained about him, but they were not doing their homework and just looking for easy grade.
As a student at this particular campus, I have taken my first math course and I can tell you that this teacher Is very challenging per se. He is essentially a calculus teacher I presume and the level of difficulty in each question during exams were far beyond what was covered. He really wants to make us think as hard as we which is not easy.
His lectures and instructing were by no means well structured or delivered. The only thing your grade depended on was the exams. We never did many practice problems in class, and he never did much of a review before exams in class. You definitely need to read the book and do the homework and review in the book.
Seems to have some hidden biases, grades tough and takes points off if your work doesnt make sense to him regardless of your solution. Gives quizzes but hardly gives enough time to finish them. Wouldnt recommend. I learned a lot but due to his grading process didnt receive a good grade.
Not helpful at all you must learn everything from the book, had to drop early. Barely gave enough time on quizes.
This professor has a good sense of humor and tries to lighten his lecture hour, but does not encourage questions or take time to go over assigned homework problems. His Exams have problems different and more difficult than homework, grading seems biased, and not helpful on an individual basis.
Very tough teacher I do not recommend at all.
does not care if you pass or not. Grades really tough, and his grades are only based on tests and quizzes. Do not take him if you want to pass.
if you get one small thing wrong on the quiz or exam he doesn't give you any credit. does not take any homework in, only thing graded is quiz exams and final. my calc 30 class went from 30 students to 5 by the last few weeks of the semester. I ADVISE DO NOT TAKE HIM. HE WON'T EVEN ANSWER QUESTIONS FROM HOMEWORK.
No exaggeration there were 5 of us that took the final exam. He assigned very heavy homework. Even though he didnt check homework his lectures were all based on it. I logged in so many hours in the math lab. He covered way too much material in a class period. Then quizzed us over material he went over 2 weeks prior. Take another professor.
Don't take him at all costs. The calc class went from 30-8 students by the midterm. No homework is graded only tests and quizzes and it is hard to ask him questions.
Taken during the pandemic with scheduled online meetings. Lectures are recorded and then posted on youtube after the class. Makes clear what is required and what we will be tested on.
This spring semester 90% of our grade was based on 10 tests, 3 of which he dropped. The other 10 was basically a freebie. Theres a lot of hw but its not graded, doing it is to your benefit tho. I almost never attended class, i just did the homework, took notes on lecture vids he provided, and i ended with an A. He was super chill and easy going
He was always very clear on how the class would be structured, stuck to his schedule, and was overall just... awesome. He gives homework but doesn't grade it, your grade is based on 10 tests throughout the semester (which are not cumulative, and he drops 2 or 3 of them). Absolutely loved taking him, highly recommend.
Prof. Brewer has the driest sense of humor ever, but in a good way. He's a total nerd who's super into math. When I took his MATH002, it was flipped (lectures online/worksheets in class). He kept us updated through Canvas and never went back on his word. He set up zoom every class so you wouldn't miss out (during COVID). He isn't the best tutor.
Honestly, some of the reviews scared me. yes, his tests are hard BUT he is a GREAT TEACHER. This means he is SMART and has the ability to convey his teaching skills that at least 90% of the class understands the homework (no confusion) the rest is up to you! studying and taking the class seriously. no loopholes or tricks! all-around great guy!
He was not positive at all. If you do and get the correct answer he will get mad the formatting of how you got there looks off. Always negative and not uplifting. If you want a positive helpful teacher that gives nice feedback do not take him. He is not too bad on homework though nor testing.
Prof.Brewer is definitely a tough grader when it comes to tests and quizzes. However he does drop two of the lowest quizzes and lowest test grade at the end of the semester and his grading scale is reasonable considering statistics is a hard class. To succeed in the quizzes and tests just make sure to do all of the homework he assigns.
His lectures are very easy to follow, and as long as you're taking notes and doing the homework, you will do great in the class. Practice problems that given are not required homework, but I strongly recommend doing them for practice. Lowest quiz and test grades are dropped, and the homework translate into the quizzes and tests. Amazing professor.
It was a 1hr and 50min class and there were almost no practice problems. The only time there was when he was sick and couldn't talk. No make-ups for missing, I had covid and missed 2 quizzes, had to take a quiz and a test the week I came back, no retakes. He's not very helpful if you don't understand a topic unless you have specific questions.
Take notes during lecture and do problem sets, you'll be alright
The professor uses humor in his lectures to be funny and although he moves very quickly in his lectures, he often kept us 15 minutes past the end of class. He is also passive aggressive and not really understanding. I want to take this course again but with a different professor.
Although I understand why Brewer has such low ratings, his class is pretty easy. Just go to class, do the homework/take notes, and you're guaranteed success. Although he's a tough grader, he just wants you to copy the steps he takes during lectures and homework keys. We're also only graded off of 15 things, the lowest 3 being dropped.
Professor Brewer's class was really difficult and fast paced. He only grades on tests and quizzes. He's always late on uploading practice tests/quizzes on canvas. (which doesn't gives us enough time to study). He's very particular in his grading. If you miss a class, you might as well drop because you will be so behind.
Professor Brewer isn't one of the worst professors for math. All of the grading is dependent on tests & quizzes. He is very strict in his grading. Even if you get an answer right if you don't do everything exactly as he says he will mark the question wrong. He does give a free textbook. If you are not a strong test taker I wouldn't recommend.
DO YOUR TEST STUDY GUIDES AT LEAST TWICE. Homework is your quiz study guides. Write down problems and answers on Cheat Sheet. Decent professor, just do not take if you struggled with math in the past. He improved in the second half of the semester.
Warning you now, do not take this Professor. He is test and quiz heavy. He is hard to communicate with outside of class. If you have a question, you would have to wait until next class time to ask because he does not respond to emails or canvas messages.
Terrible professor, Professor brewer is probably one of the worsts math professors. He is lecture heavy and very passive aggressive when you ask for help or need help on a problem.
one of if not the hardest classes ive taken. all he does in class is give lectures while we take notes. all you will do is write. he told me i couldn't take pictures of his notes during class. he is very hard to talk to and understand, and is extremely hard to reach outside of class, even though he pushes you to ask the questions outside of class.
Not terrible but treats his students as kids. Lectures felt really long, boring, and exhausting, but you can tell he loves what he does. If you pay attention during lecture you should be fine and do the homework although it's not mandatory because there's quizzes almost every week. Good luck!
Brewer often jumped from one problem to another without clear explanations then expects you do the homework at home. The homework assignments were not aligned with what was taught in class. If you want to learn, do not take this Professor. He is helpless.
Brewer has poor teaching and communication skills. I would not recommend taking any of his math classes. when questions were asked his responses would be dismissive and unhelpful. I try to go to tutoring but during the test he would only accept the work on how he taught the material. If you want to learn and succeed, take another professor.
took this professor back in Fall 2022, and during lecture, he would start talking about god or football. Most of the assignments are the weekly quizzes he gives out, so you have to make sure you do really good on those quizzes. Also if you missed a quiz, he won't allow retakes; had a friend miss class for a funeral and he didn't excuse them.
Brewer would often go on side tangents. His sick policy is non-existent. If you have the COVID and miss a quiz, there is nothing you can do to make it up. He says homework is optional, but it's the only way to understand the lecture. His class is two hours long with one five-minute break. NO FOOD and NO DRINKS. He will kick you out over it.
For me it wasn't all that bad, but I can't say the same for my classmates. He does give you a free link for the textbook, but all he grades are tests and quizzes, he drops the lowest 3 quizzes and he drops the lowest of the first 3 tests I think? You have to do the HW to practice even if he doesn't grade it because lectures only go so far.
The pacing was really fast and one test can determine pass or fail for the whole class. If you don't have a choice for this class would recommend talking to the teacher and getting help ASAP. Falling behind is really bad here. Wish you luck!
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS AT ALL COSTS. IT WILL BE A MISERABLE SEMESTER
Is a nice guy, just is not the best teacher for me. Straight up lectures and tests are my weakness and I fell behind from the first day of stats and never caught up due to his teaching.
Yelled at the class when people wouldn't answer his questions, and even slammed his ruler on desks when people didn't answer him. He barely shows any calculator work, so you are left wondering how he got the answer for something because he doesn't explain. If you miss a class, you can miss whole sections and chapters. Do not take him.
Do not take any of Professor Brewer's math classes, unless it's your last resort. The class was very difficult and basically self-taught. I spent way too many all-nighters studying than I should have. Brewer would continue to the next problem without even explaining the problem before. If you asked a question, he would respond very condescending.
Brewer will only base your grade off of tests and quizzes, which is difficult to pass his class because of his poor teaching skills. He does not know how to communicate properly and will be very passive aggressive when asked a question about a problem. He shouldn't be teaching.
This class made me hate college. Good professor, good at explaining, but Calculus is just not for me. Doesn't grade homework (DO IT THOUGH, SERIOUSLY), only grades quizzes (including "note" quizzes) and tests. I felt confused 90% of the time. He would make jokes, they were sometimes funny. Swell guy, but I hated this course. He did rush sometimes.
Professor Brewer's class is challenging, but manageable if you stay on top of the work. The homework and quizzes are key - using tools like unstuck study alongside the textbook can really help with study prep. Not the easiest class, but doable if you put in the effort.
Worst semester of my life. Avoid his class at all costs. He does not know how to teach. Basically self-taught.
Not a good professor/teacher. I should've looked up the reviews before committing to his class. I had to learn everything myself.
Its just boring. Theres only a 5 minute break between 2 hours of straight lecture. His teaching style isn't the best and often was passive-aggressive and questions felt discouraged and unhelpful. Also a strict grader and only graded on 10 quizzes and 5 exams, but gave cheat sheets and a free textbook. Overall, save your time and take someone else.
Easy class to pick up, was given fill-in-the-blank notes from the start that he would use in lectures. Very lecture heavy, assigned homework but never graded it, class is graded solely on quizzes (10%) and tests (35% 1-2, 55% 3-4). Free online textbook. Brewer likes to talk At his class and thinks he's funny, genuinely not a bad professor though.
Worst class I've ever taken in my life. I failed the first time. Took it again to prove to myself that I could overcome, also needed to for major. He doesn't know how to teach. He makes weird jokes about inappropriate topics and treats students like kindergartners. Getting into a car crash sounded better than making it to his class.
Overall, worst professor I've taken at Solano. Brewer does not know how to teach nor communicate with students. I would recommend avoiding any of his classes. I had to teach myself to pass his class basically
I ended up getting the highest grade on the final with a pretty good score, but the mean score was in the 20's.This class is passable, but be ready to use youtube as your main source, as Brewer is not interested in helping anyone. Needs to grow up a bit and treat his students with a little more respect. Leave the God talk at home.
Self taught class. Can not emphasize that enough.
Brewer is not professional at all and shouldn't be teaching. Nearly every body has dropped the class due to his insufficient teaching skills. basically, self-taught and he was very dismissive when questions were asked. I would not recommend to take this professor.
Professor Brewer knows statistics, but he teaches too quickly and doesn't like answering too many questions in class. He'll kick you out of the classroom if you have an open drink, even if it has a lid with a straw. He expects you to not bring it back into the classroom. He sets time limits for his quizzes and tests, which can make you feel rushed.
