Great Cal 1 teacher, but you need to know your algebra to get a good grad in this class. He breaks down every problem for you so you undersatnd it. He drops you lowest of 4 test and also curves at the end. Do homework and you should do well in this class!

This was the easiest class I have ever taken. I hardly went to class and still got A's on all the tests. Course consists of 5 tests, he doesn't collect homework or take roll and drops your lowest test score. If you can, you want to take this class.

Class was great. easy to understand, the instructor is funny. he went over the material well as we covered it. If he gets a practice test done, it greatly helps out studying. otherwise, make sure you read all your notes, because there will be something you forgot about.

Great Teacher. Very easy tests, but make sure you do the homework for the final (it was hard!) He only grades on tests so make sure you do well and show your work! First test I got a 74 on, but would've got an A if I showed my work. Very funny teacher and I enjoyed going to his class.

If you have to take math150, take it with him. He explains the concepts in a way that you'll understand them. He's pretty funny too. keep in mind that even though he makes it easier and more fun, its still calc.

Very easy, laid back teacher. Grades are from 5 tests including midterm and final. Drops the lowest grade. Only teaches for about 30min and lets class out early. Book was only for review, notes, and hw, so it's not really a big required text. Go to lecture and take notes if you dont already know material.

Professor Cavanaugh is awesome! He is such a cool and laid back teacher. Show up for class to do well. The finals are based on the first 3 tests so know how to do those problems that appeared on the tests. Allows a cheat sheet. Great teacher!

Kevin is awesome!! I barely ever went to class (i'd say 35% of the time) material was impossible to NOT understand! He is pretty funny, super laid back, and a good guy. 5 tests drops the lowest one, I got 100% on the last three, if you understood math in 9th grade you'll do fine! This teacher was my favorite this semester and Calc 1 was my favorite class because of this teacher. He gave me great understanding for what I thought was a hard subject. I did study a lot and did all my homework and never missed a class. I believe I was successful because of this teacher. My only regret is that he is not teaching Math 151.

He is a good teacher and cares a lot about his students. The tests are pretty easy if you study, he makes them himeself. However, the final is terrible. He does not make it and is super hard. Do the homework problems he assigns in class to help with tests.

I hated math my entire school career until I took his class. He made me start to love calc, and he's really easy going. He's gotten in trouble with the admin. for giving TOO MANY students an A in his class! He's funny and explains topics so simply unlike most math teachers who complicate things to make themselves sound smarter. Take him.

I went to a tutor before every test just to clarify lil bits of info I wasn't sure about. I bombed the first test, so thank god he drops the lowest grade. Absolutely the most hilarious professor on campus.. used "X amount of beer cans" in a sample problems. Attendance NOT AT ALL mandatory... very easy tests, homework optional. He refers to the class as "math for english majors." Take him- easy A!

Only need the book to do hw. If you have taken a Calc class before, this class will be pretty easy. It is like Calc "Lite" and he doesn't expect too much from us non-math majors. Allows a full page front/back cheat sheet for each test and you can bring all your previous cheat sheets for the final. Great at explaining concepts- highly recommended!

Attendance not mandatory, especially if you're decent at math. Got a solid A despite that I didn't go to class regularly. And when I did go to class, it was only because he's entertaining. Drops lowest test score out of 5 tests (i.e. Pass the first 4 tests, skip out on the last). Class almost always ends early. I recommend.

Probably one of the very few best calculus teachers on campus. (was lucky he taught it). He's a very funny guy. Easily understandable. He issues out practice problems to help you and will go over them the next day. You don't even need Geveci's book. Just attend his class and take notes.

I took this professor in the summer. It went a little bit quick in the 13 week section. Heres the grading: 77% for 3 exams but one dropped and there's is a cumulative final which is 33%. He also grades based on a curve.He doesn't collect HW but I don't see any problems from the ANTON textbook on tests. What a nightmare!

The best math to take for ge. He takes the best four out of five tests. The homework is just for practice. He writes out the notes on the board. The class usually only lasts a half an hour, if that.

Cavanaugh is a pretty legit professor. He assigns homework that's not mandatory. There's 3 exams plus a final. The lowest exam is dropped and then to pass the class you really just need to pass the final. Go to lectures and pay attention and you'll do fine. Classes almost always get out early. Take him if you can.

HOLY FRIJOLES! Kevin Cavanaugh's kiddie Calculus is easy, if you are a business major and know nothing about math but need a BS math course to fulfill your GEs take Cavanaugh, he's down to earth, he's smart, he teaches well, only bad part is his $h*t head of a TA grades his tests (but you can always get them regraded by Cav for about 6 more pts)

I love this crazy man. He just is cuckoo but he doesn't care. He enjoys teaching and likes students, even if he jokes around with them a lot. He's a good teacher even though I hate math. Even someone inept such as me could get a B. Take him if you're hesitant!! He's great.

Cavanaugh is a good teacher but good teach a little more. Often class would only run 15 minutes. Not all that bad but he could have given more examples. The class is test based. There are 5 and he drops your lowest grade so really a total of 4. They are pretty easy. Just don't slack off and you will get an A or A- guranteed.

Easily the best calc 151 teacher. I failed his class, then retook it again with him because I knew I was a dumbass. Anyone who expects to learn everything in class is retarded, you have to practice a lot outside of class. Ultimately he does not try to trick you on tests and the final, so the tests are very fair. Study a lot and get A.

KevCavKiddyCalc, thats what Aplus calls this class. He was super chill, and tests were super easy. Homework was optional. Easy A considering its a "calculus for Busines" course.

His lectures are engaging. He made my Eng 101 8am class interesting. I would highly recommend him.
