night class is really boring...good teacher otherwise

Great professor! Funny and interesting. Go to class, take notes, pay attention, and fill out the study guides and you'll do fine. I didn't even read the book for the most part. I just looked up what was on the study guide and I got an A. Would definitely take another class with this professor!

Awesome teacher, Tests are very challenging and tricky at times but if you do the study guide and take notes you'll get at least a B

Dr. Courtright is the man. His class is very interesting and his is a funny guy. He gives you a study guide and is always very clear on what to expect on tests. Though his tests can be a bit tricky, he is an excellent teacher.

Take a internet class with him, for those who dont' speak in class, he has discussion boards which are awesome if you are shy. Alot of reading and some writing but he makes you think about what you are learning for the class. Courtright is the greatest, he needs a Golden Apple Award for teacher of the week.

Wow! Dr. C is hot. He is also a good teacher. He is my favorite professor in the Criminal Justice Department at EU. I heard that they were becoming a separate department. Does anyone know if this is true? I heard that Dr. C will be the new chair. They couldn't have picked a better professor to run the new Department of Justice.

He's very funny and makes the class one you don't dread going to.

I took him for Corrections because I'm going to be a Correctional Officer. I am not interested in this subject, but Dr. Courtright made it interesting. I liked the books he made us read and write about. He tells a lot of jokes and that makes the class interesting.

I had him for 2 classes. Didn't really like him for corrections but then had him for juvenile justice and he was better. You have to go to class and get the notes. LOTS OF NOTES!

courtright is an excellent teacher, take him for everything you can, he is a tough grader but you will learn from your mistakes. will do a 10 paper expect it in all of his classes.

This professor IS an okay man, yes, he is also very knowledgable in his field. He does challenge you to do your very best in your college career-this will only help you.

Had him for corrections...you take alot of notes which means you need to go to class..i got a b+ and i never read the book just studied notes (you have to study but its not hard at all)!

A REALLY GOOD GUY. ONE HECK OF A TEACHER. CAN ALWAYS GO TALK TO HIM OUTSIDE OF CLASS. AN EASY PROFESSOR TO RELATE TO. CLASSES ARE GOOD. YOU HAVE TO STUDY AND GO TO CLASS. YOU WILL LEARN A LOT FROM HIM.

Take him. Tests aren't easy, but if you go to class, and do the study guide - u should do good. He makes class interesting- realllly liked him. take him. he's kinda sarcastic sometimes though.

I have taken him for 5 classes and would take him again! He is the best CJ prof there is. He is very interesting and helpful if u need the help. He really likes to get students interested. The test werent that bad if u studied. Gives u a study guide for exams. TAKE HIM!!!

Ok this guy was brilliant, he knows everything there is about corrections, he used to be a PO. His tests are pretty hard and you HAVE TO READ!! and take good notes. really nice guy and tries to be funny but usually hes the only one laughing haha, good prof take him, but be ready to study

had him for online course. very interesting subject matter. assigned good book as well. takes his time grading assignments, but is very sweet and understanding if a problem arises

He is an awesome teacher. Spoonfeeds the material, but it's up to you to learn & KNOW IT!!! Multiple choice testing can be tricky, be prepared! My absolute favorite teacher at Edinboro. Be prepared to read something in his class, he will have an assignment--most likely an interesting book w/ a reaction paper.

He is a wealth of knowledge in correctional issues and probation and parole. Really knows his stuff. Is generally, easy to approach. Takes a long time to grade papers and tends to concentrate on what you did wrong, not really what you did well on it. negative sided feedback. Make sure to proof read your papers!

Amazing professor. The best CJ professor at Edinboro! He knows everything about this field, encourages discussions and will help you with any questions you have. Tough exams- make sure you read and go to class and take copious notes. Take him! You will learn soooo much!

Dr. C is the BEST professor ever. He is very humble and has much experience in the field. He has been my advisor for three years now and is always there when I need him to be (even at 2 am). His classes are HARD and you have to take verbatim notes and study but that's college... He gives you study guides. Work the study guide, take notes, and read.

Although I didnt enjoy the subject of corrections, Dr. Courtright is a great professor. He is great to listen to in class and is definitely not boreing. But his class is hard, read the book and do the study guides and you will at least pass.

Good teacher if you study you will do fine.

My own belief is that he is a great guy, but not the best professor. He is often vague in his instructions. However, he is fair. He will remove tests questions that are unfair which is great. He does take a long time to grade. He'll answer questions quickly but I do wish he was more clear with what he wants because it's hard for students to guess.

Decent guy and pretty good teacher. Routine class... take notes, take test repeat. Nothing special about the class but he brings in his experience from his previous work which is cool. Willing to work with you and answers emails back real fast

He is a pretty clear professor and helpful when you need clarification. His exams are tough and mix things from the book and lecture. take good notes and read through the book and you should do fine. He is decently funny and I would take him again if he offered something I was interested in.

Love that Doc C takes us on tours and trips. I wish that more of my professors did that. I decided to go into corrections because of his classes and him.

Courtright is a super nice guy. Though he doesn't take attendance for a grade you shouldn't plan on missing many classes because you will fail. A lot of test questions will be based on what he says in class, so take good notes! Overall not a very strict or hard professor and he likes to joke around!

His classes are honestly my favorite. He's a super funny dude, very chatty so its easy for people to get off topic in his class. Every class I've ever taken with him he has took us on a field trip somewhere. It gives you a first hand look at what you're possible job after graduation could be.

I had Dr Courtright for an online summer class. He had a lot of reading, papers written after veiwing documentaries, but overall very informative class and a lot of fun. Great professor.

Dr. Courtright is honestly one of the best professors I've taken so far. This is my third time taking him. His tests can be a little difficult but overall he's a very good professor. Emails back almost right away when you're in need of help. I highly reccomend taking this professor. Guarentee you won't regret it.

Dr. Courtright is one of the best professors at Edinboro. His coursework can be a little overwhelming but he makes every attempt to meet with you and answer any questions you may have. Super nice and very passionate about his students and learning.

Good ole Dr. Courtright is a nice guy, passionate, and caring. He goes above and beyond to give you the best college and classroom experience. I took three classes with him and managed to get one A and two B+. If you want an A, you're gonna work for it. Typically has one quiz, a mid-term and a final, four HW assignments, and EC. I'll give him an A!

He's super chill, friendly and understanding. I really enjoyed his class and he made lectures really interesting and fascinating to learn about.
