There is a lot of work to do. Every week you need to do the QBO textbook, SCC, and End of Chapter questions. There are 3 test- unit 1, 2, and final exam- which you need to read the books, notes, and power point in order to do well in the exam.

Gives a lot of homework but gives enough time to do them. Participation counts and will pick on your randomly even if you don't raise your hand. He's very helpful and gives you detailed answers if you ask him a question.

Quickbooks is not an easy course which has a lot of homework. You need to really put attention to your homework and to do it. If possible, don't take it in summer session, it will make this course more harder. However, it is a useful course to learn.

I took Professor Dooley's ACC 252 Quickbook's class over the summer. It was very homework intensive and it was easy for me to fall behind due to its fast paced nature. If you are not prepared to spend 30+ hours a week for this class, do not take this class over the summer. Overall, Professor Dooley is a patient professor and very understanding.

Professor Dooley is truly one of a kind. If you feel like accounting is hard or you hate accounting, he is the man for you - because he will make accounting fun and easy. Alright, if you really want to understand accounting take Prof. Dooley, he's very knowledgeable about all aspects of the subject and can back it up. The only thing is that he gives way too much homework, but with an accelerated summer session it really helped with understanding each chapter. He's funny too, but sometimes his analogies are tangent.

Took him during the summer. It was tough since we learned 13 chapters within about a month. Honestly, this was one of the hardest classes for me because it felt like I was learning another language. But, his homework, online notes, and repetitiveness in class helped me understand. He cares and will help you if you don't understand. He's funny too.

Professor Dooley has a pretty simple but fast-paced syllabus he runs the class by. He leaves a lot of the learning up to the students which bugged me, so be prepared to do the homework and lots of personal effort to understand the concepts and formulas. I actually took ACC251C with him, but that class may not exist anymore. But basically, if you do all the assignments and the project, you'll pass the class. The assignments are not hard, but sometimes you might require some help. He's a fair and easy grader. You'll like him. He's a great guy! I won't mind taking his classes again.

Online homework called Wiley Plus never helped me but he gives us a lot of problems from this plus regular paper homework even we have one and a half day to finish them so most of us got lower score on the first exam. Wiley Plus is just wasting time and never gives us time to study for exam.

We can be a better student if we can see an actual hand on first then we can do it after but overall it was an amazing year and a fun one.

Don't skip the WileyPlus homework. He's not lenient on extensions as far as I know, unless you have a valid reason and let him know ahead of time. His teaching style will not bore you. He has his office hours posted and it's clear so you can easily reach him for questions. He asks students questions about concepts so you could remember them.

Don't skip class, a lot of your points come from him checking assignments in the workbook. Wiley plus is important. He's very lenient and wants to work with everyone to get them the best grade possible. He's very knowledgable and fair with grading and tests. Wish he was teaching ACC202 next semester!

Professor Dooley is very nice and he will take time after class to help you with something you don't understand. The only issue I had was the way that he explains accounting concepts is in the context of a long career as an accountant. It can be really confusing for an accounting newbie.

Professor Dooley clearly explained the goal of each assignment and the course in the modules. He introduced many "accounting tools" for us to learn and use in this course which I am grateful for because I have gained so much knowledge on how to use them. The homework wasn't difficult, but it took a very, very, very long time to complete. You do the same things as the homework for the tests, but it's timed and sometimes he worded the questions in a way that was confusing. But overall, he's a great professor! I would take another class with him as instructor.

My only qualm is not being able to do the F2F class. I feel like it would have felt like a lot less work in the classroom. I also understand why strong students aren't allowed to pair with each other in class, but I find that somewhat unrealistic to a real world scenario. A data entry level accountant wouldn't be paired up with the CFO on a project

He is a great professor. His class is well organized. The assignment was laid out in every week modules so it kept me in track and didn't feel overwhelming but be prepare the QBO homework took long time to complete. He also makes time for students if you don't understand and stuck in homework problems by Zoom or Forums. Would take his class again.

Professor Dooley really cares about his students and communicates well. He does get back to you quickly if you have a problem but first he'll try to get other classmates to help you first for extra credit. That can be a problem if you're stuck on a problem for days, I wish I could have taken a live class instead of online. He's a great teacher.

The book isn't really necessary. You're not required to read the book. Most of the assignments are done on Willy+, and you really only need to use the use resources button to help you understand, it also has an online version of the textbook online.

Took Professor Dooley's ACC201 Summer course. Hearing the struggle of summer courses and how fast pace it was I was for sure stressing. I was definitely right, lots of homework and the fast pace was definitely not helping. With Professor Dooley's quick response to my questions and tremendous help the class was worth taking!

This is my second course I had taken for summer! Comparing to my last course, this has been much more difficult for me in my opinion. The summer session goes by very fast, and it is VERY ACCELERATED. Professor gives us the opportunity to ask for help when we need it. I was very intimidated of him at first, but he really is a friendly individual!

He was the good instructors cause he didn't give not so much assignment. Wileyplus was our textbooks and It was not so difficult to take high scores in assignments. But there was a project to make one presentation with other students, so it was a little tough for me, but my team member was perfect for me. It means not difficult.

Took this course in the summer. It moves quickly but is also manageable, IF YOU HAVE TIME. He offers lots of bonus point opportunities and can be very helpful! Overall, he is a good instructor and a nice guy.

Mr. Dooley is very helpful and always offers additional help. Lots of Extra credit opportunities. Great teacher!

This was an excellent online course. The homework and bonus assignments allowed me to practice and see if I truly understood the material. The review sessions gave great feedback and helped me see what my weakest areas were. It might not be explicitly stated but participation is crucial to passing this class, especially for the group project.

Dont take this class in the summer if youre planning to take other courses alongside it. This class will take up so much of your time, so be prepared to focus on it. Professor is great at his knowledge of the subject matter, so youre in good hands. Just be prepared to spend a lot of time on the class.

Because of this pandemic, all lecturers are online and we didnt have zoom session at certain times and days. Its just hard to follow if you dont keep track on weekly lecture videos and assignments. There are quite much assignments every week and some of them are hard so be ready for it!

Professor Dooley has been one of the best teachers I've got to work with. The class is pretty basic on learning how to use Quick Books Online and there is work that you have to put in to get a good grade. Class is online and he makes online class feel like we are in class. He is great about getting back to you in a timely manner. Overall great!

Due to the pandemic, this semesters class had to be online. Professor Dooley did do his best to provide chapter recap videos for a better understanding of how to complete the HW on WileyPlus. One thing to know about this class is that there is A LOT of homework assignments but he gives you a week to complete them.

Offers lots of helpful resources to his students and genuinely cares that we do well. There's one group project on embezzlement, but he gives you a lot of time to work on it. The actual accounting material you need to learn is really boring TBH, but if you read the textbook and use Dooley's notes as reference you'll be fine.

Always an assignment/reading due every week, some chapters are easier than others so don't wait until the last minute to start. Extra credit points are easy to earn and there are lots of opportunities to earn them. One group project (thank god) and working towards bonus for this project waives cumulative exam at the end of semester.

Handful of assignments each week however nothing too overwhelming. One group project but there's more than enough time to do it. Be ready to read the textbook... No seriously if you want to perform well, you'll need to read the book. Stay on top of your work and you'll do just fine. Other than that, a good course and a competent professor.

The best professor I ever met. Please do not retire until I become a CPA.

The professor seems to really understand every student, and he communicates well.

Professor Dooley is a professor that I would highly recommend students to take when taking an accounting class. He really does break down each chapter bits by bits in order for us to fully understand. What I appreciate most is he literally is an understanding professor who will help you understand the material if assistance is needed.

Professor Dooley is a rare find when it comes to educators. He is very understanding with the the current situation going on with the world. He still goes out of his way to ensure that his students not only comprehend the course material but follows up with his students to let them know what needs to be done for their grades. He actually cares.

He's an amazing teacher. I struggled with accounting during high school, but his assignments and his assistance when offering study sessions really helped me get through and actually understand the class. He has a great method of putting student's into teams.

Mr. Dooley is an excellent teacher. I took his class online, and everything was very well organized and easily accessible. It's honestly a really easy class if you study. The group project is pretty easy as well. Also, Mr. Dooley is always there to help you if you get stuck on something.

ACC252 is a lot of work but Professor is helpful and cares about his students.

He gave us a lot of time to work each assignments.

He is very helpful however assignments are kind of heavy. Doable, but just take a lot of time. If you are stuck in somewhere, just reach out him. He helps you a lot!!

Class wasn't too hard you just have to do the work and actually learn the material to pass the tests. He gives many extra credit opportunities which is nice.

You really need to dedicate time to this class. If you miss assignments, you will fall behind. If you need help, reach out because he is very willing. Overall good teacher

Professor Dooley is very organized with assigning weekly work for class, he has a clear criteria of what he wants his students to produce and fair grading system. Lots of homework so be prepared to read the chapter notes to fully understand the content of each chapter and homework. The Quiz and Exams are very manageable so long you do the homework

Lots of assignments but they are not that hard (mostly commenting on online discussion, uploading screenshots of work, etc.) and I think they're meant to keep you engaged to avoid falling behind in the online course, Prof discussed info beyond the scope of the class which I though was useful for those pursuing Acct career

Professor Dooley is one of the best professors I ever had. The homework load can be time-consuming but it shouldn't be too hard. If you do all your assignments, you should be able to get an A (there are so many extra credit opportunities). 100% recommend.

Professor Dooley, is well respected by me. I am a freshman in college and Its been a weird transition from high school to college. I had missed 4 exams and Professor Dooley, allowed me a second chance to complete it. If it was not for him, I would have failed this course. I would love to have him as my professor again!

Have so much homework, but he will help us student does not understand. And helps student to be in track and have a good grade.

Appreciated that there were multiple sources for learning information besides the textbook. I also liked the format used on the class website as it kept me on track in regards to what tasks I needed to complete and when I needed to complete them by. Even if I wouldn't want to take this accounting class again, his was a great class to be a part of.

Lots of homework but there's a lot of time to get it done. This class is pretty chill as long as you don't miss too many assignments you should pass no problem. Professor Dooley is great about reminding you of assignments that are coming up, and he also posts videos explaining the content as well.

He is a talkative but good professor who helps as much as he can. Around the certain exams if you need him you may don't hear back from! if you start your exam before deadline, you will be on your own to find solution or get help from your classmate for extra credits. The modules are helpful but very busy pages which gives a headache to review.

I think the professor is very knowledgeable in the subject of accounting. He also provides optional zoom sessions each week to help out students which I think is great. This course does require students to work hard and stay on top of things which I think is a good skill for students to be able to do.

Taking this class online was great - just be sure to check the online HW and Laulima regularly. Professor Dooley has structured this course nicely to be completed in chunks (modules in Laulima). His grading and expectations are clear and manageable. The textbook content is a lot and the homework can be tricky but if you study, you'll do fine.

Lots of reading; the assignments are really straightforward, can be pretty time-consuming. I wish that he was easier to get a hold of to answer any immediate questions. The use of forums to communicate is a little frustrating. Besides that, he is really understanding and flexible.

He has different style doing things, but once you get used to it, things will be easy! Don't miss the class, he asks questions and that helps a lot. Many Extra credit opportunities :)

I think professor Dooley is someone who is good at breaking down problems in accounting, and preparing you for those same problems in exams and homework assignments. Although he is not the best lecturer, he provides helpful resources to assist you in your own learning. There will be various opportunities to receive extra credit.

Professor Dooley has a good grasp of the subject and explains it well to the students. He uses a good system to reinforce learning and it's very effective. He has a good sense of humor and keeps the classes light. He gives a good number of exercises which helps tremendously to learn the content.

Encourage students to work better.

Mr. Dooley tries to sum the text book up and make it easier for students to get good scores on WileyPlus. Attending class and participating definitely helps to understand the concepts! However, he is pretty bad at responding to mails or forum posts (his preferred way of communication). Sometimes, he makes things more complicated than necessary.

He is an awesome professor. Workload is heavy, however it is not bad if you organize your time well. There is no place for procrastination in this class.

I took his online course so attendance was not mandatory. He is a very cool, understanding professor. There are a lot of weekly assignments that needs to be completed but he is available if you don't understand something or need help.

Prof. Dooley was very into his class in a way that if you had questions, he would break it down for you to understand.

Used a website to do all of our reading and homework. He seriously puts in a lot of work to give everyone the best possible chance to succeed and get an A in his class. He also makes it very easy for you to know what is due every week. The only downside was that we had 1 group project (only because I hate group projects. AMAZING teacher!

I am taking an online ACC class and the Zoom class is very helpful for me to understand the textbook and how to solve problems on homework assignments. The professor will clearly explain the questions and answers to the students.

Professor Dooley teaches a hard course, but helps you though it. He gives you a lot of time to do the assignments if you want to get ahead and communication is key with him. He gives bonus points to help your grades as well. We do have group work which is 100% all on you guys, but if you need any help just email him.

He is overall a good teacher for online classes especially. I enjoyed his group projects because he lets you choose who you want by putting out a "resume" for you to show what you want in a group. It can stressful to finish all the WileyPlus assignments but if you just stay organized you will be okay because he makes deadlines very clear!

Mr. Dooley is very engaging and offers a lot of support when needed. His class is set up with clear expectations from the very beginning. He shares a lot of information online that can be quite overwhelming but if you read through it thoroughly you will be fine. If you remain organized and on task, you will get an A.

Mr. Dooley is a very patient and funny teacher. Due to the COVID-19, I feel so regret that I need to take an online class. Every question that I asked Mr. Dooley would be answered in time and explained patiently one by one. There are four exams and one group project in this course. There is a lot of homework. You should be prepared if you planning.

I took his Quickbook class but I loved this professor! Some of the homework is heavy if you are not familiar enough to understand but once you get used to QBO you will get 100/100 on hw. His lecture was very clear and describe until we understand. Also, he has opportunities to earn extra point a LOT.

There is a lot to cover on, but professor Dooley is helpful. The classes are optional, but I recommend participating since it helps with understanding chapter contents. Be sure to manage your time because there are various activities

This class has a lot of assignments due within a week, so try to stay on top of assignments to not fall behind. There are also a lot of extra credit, so take advantage. There are no mandatory classes, but zoom meetings are available if you need assistance. Some instructions can be confusing, but Professor is willing to assistance if you need help.

Good teacher, but a lot of homework with in a week especially when exam. As long as you finish on time, you will be fine for this class.

Tons of coursework. Take one day off and you'll fall behind for sure. The amount of assignments due in a single week was unbearable. I found myself scrambling to complete everything. Group project was a great idea but hard to do with the online course. People's schedules outside of class conflicted with group time or group members would stay silent

Professor Dooley is demanding and gives a lot of homework. If you fall behind in class you will be in trouble. On a positive note, he provides very clear guidelines for work due and checklists to organize the workload. Challenging but fair.

Professor Dooley, is very organized and demanding in terms of homework. He is also fair and offers the flexibility of getting extra points with easy activities. The Quickbooks class is fairly straighforward and easy to grasp as long as you are disciplined and do your work consistently every week, otherwise you will fall behind.

Course requires work you will need to practice the subject matter in order to pass. Subject matter is scaffold you must understand subject before moving on otherwise it will become difficult down the line

Explained and presented content in an easy to understand way. Excellent with course organization and pacing for the information to get absorbed and understood without bombarding too much at once, giving good warning about understanding the basics well at first to make things easier to understand when later chapters were introduced.

LOTS of homework - consider taking this class when your course load is not too heavy since you will spend a lot of time on this class. He is a bit slow to respond, but understandable since he does so much to prepare and grade all the homework assignments. If you remain all-in for the semester - you'll learn QuickBooks well enough to be comfortable.

Professor Dooley's Accounting 201 class for me was a great experience, he was very knowledgable about the subject and provided a lot of tools to help the students to understand the course material. Additionally, I did appreciate the multiple opportunities available to earn extra credit. This was extremely helpful for me in the beginning of class.

Professor Dooley gives a lot of homework, so you have to spend a lot of time on this class. His class is very organized and he gives offers to get extra credits.

Although this class had a lot of homework, you will learn a lot of useful information to be successful in the accounting major. Professor Dooley was very patient and understanding with his students. He was readily available when you need , all you have to do is reach out to him. He was gracious to provide extra credit opportunities.

This class had lots of work but it was worth it. Mr. Dooley is patient and is willing to help you when you need it. This class will definitely help ease you into the accounting profession.

Class design was cute, but it's pretty disorganized. A ton of reading is involved, and you must read everything for your own sake. Not formatted well for ESL students. Nice guy and passionate about his subject, but not very responsive outside of class. Lots of build-up for a large group project, but he suggests you pick members with same schedule.

Prof Dooley is very knowledgeable and can answer most any question. The only thing I would say is that his Laulima page is difficult to navigate at first, and can lead to some confusion as to how to locate certain assignments. Overall though, the class is not too hard and I got a lot out of it.

He's a great professor. He is good at active communication with students. If you have a problem, he will give you a very useful help! There is many teamwork assignment involved in this course that the active participation of students is very important. If you choose this professor, you will learn a lot!

Mr. Dooley was great!

This class was a bit difficult for me but thankfully we were given many tools that helped me at least have my head above water, like pre-recorded zooms, notes, textbook, and forums to communicate with the teacher and other students.

Class was not bad. Just read a chapter every week, do homework based on the chapter(exercises and questions about it), a good amount of extra credit opportunities and a group project that spans most of the semester.

Super nice professor. Very flexible. He only has two tests the entire semester but you need to write 1 page papers every week size 10 font. You don't need to put too much effort. Such a fun class! -model United Nations
