Take his class, he is so sexy ladies!
great teacher and really nice guy!

soooo boring..and so much work..you better like to read
Love this professor - brilliant teacher!
What college is about
No Comments
lectures are great...very nice and a lot of reading
most work ive done in college-but the best teacher i have had-easy grader
Reasonable and lots of fun. Knows his stuff, and truly wants you to learn.
Great class if willing to work - acts more like a guide - wants YOU to learn it.
WOW>.. so not hot! looks like BEN FRANKLIN!
Is exactly like the mad alien scientists off Indepence Day
Great professor. I wish i had him sooner in college. What college is all about
Good teaching, has an appreciation of the true origins of history. If you want to learn speak up, professors don't come to you.
Lots of work, but you can do well in the class...isn't too interesting, but easy to do well!
Awesome guy! Great teacher...really loves history, his enthusiasm makes it interesting.
THE BEST PROFESSOR IN THE WORLD. HE ROCKS MY WORLD, AND MAKES ME ENJOY HISTORY. I LOVE HIM, AND YOU WILL TOO...HE IS THE ONLY PERSON YOU SHOULD TAKE FOR HISTORY..HE IS FABULOUS :)
tough class with work but soo easy if keep up with work! i got a 98 in the class! just do work and pay attention in lecture..really nice guy and tells stories to keep you awake!!
Smart man but he would rather sound smart than explain material clearly. Alot of reading in this class. Have to give presentations which he will constantly interupt, run out your time, and then lower your grade. Waits to grade papers at the end of sem.
Looks like the mad scientist from independence day. He tries, he's hard not to like, but the class seems preachy. Had the TA for the discussion group, heard some horror stories about his discussion... tons of work, but if you do it, you'll get an A
Hardwick is a great guy! No matter what history class you have...you will have a lot of reading...so although he asigns a lot of reading...i would def. take him over any other history prof.! Easy to do well if you do your work!
BENJAMIN FRANKLIN!! A GRREAT teacher who is SOO enthusiastic about History. I learned SO much this semester - yes there is a lot of reading but hey its COLLEGE! Weekly quizzes are easy (if you read) and he is SO willing to help and works with you!!
Incredibly enthusiastic about his job. His classes are challenging, but I promise you that you will learn quite a bit. Definitely one of my favorite professors, ever.
Awesome teacher, Awesome guy-he really cares about his students and the TA is great too.
helpful, lovable guy, you will learn SO much from him! Great learning environment!
He is a cool person. He is specialized in Colonial America which makes the class kind of hard. Doing the minimum requirements of the class will get you a B.
He was an awesome teacher. He really wants you to do good in his class and is always giving pointers for how to do your presentations and how to do well on the essays. There is a lot of work , but overall I really enjoyed this class w/ him.
I hated history before this class, but i really enjoyed this one. reading the documents is a lot of work, but if you keep on to of the assignments it really isn't bad. lenient grader on papers!!!!
So much passion for what he teaches. Kind f guy ho would come chill and get high with his students. I worked my ass off, but it was well worth it. If you like hstor tke him.
very nice guy, ALOT of work...he's understanding, boring lecture but as long as you attend and do the work you'll be fine
ok...he's a nice guy and all but there is way too much work in this class, TONS of reading and his lectures are boring, as nice of a person as he is...i hated this class!
Reading! Be prepared. However, if you don't know whether the Civil war came before the World war and feel like you know **** about history, this is the genEd to take because hardwick is a good, clear teacher and he hates memorization of dates. pretty easy
lots of reading but what do you expect from a four credit history class...2 tests, two papers, two presentations, two quote books and pop quizes (easy)...gives you key terms for test and essay question..just do the work and keep up with it...not bad
Great class overall; made me like history- and yes though the lectures may be slightly dry, you will learn so much about history. He's eager to help, loves talking with his students, and wants you to be as interested and informed in history as you can be
The best history professor I've ever had. Extremely knowlegable, understanding, and genuinely interested in helping his students learn and do well. Not easy, but he makes it worthwhile.
Sweet guy and really into what he is talking about. Group Presentations/Lectures/Quotebooks are very unhelpful though...Lectures were boring and 90% material consisted of quotations: I found it hard to learn this way.
harwick is extremely helpful...his lectures might be slightly boring but how interesting can history be? i defintely reccomend taking his class!
Great guy who is willing to work with you on any extensions and help you may need. He gives you a ton of reading, but you don't have to do all of it as long as you work hard for your papers and mid-terms. Different type of history class but a good one.
Awesome guy! He loves history and loves teaching. He's very helpful and understanding of students needs. Tests consist of 3 ID's and one long essay which is posted on blackboard at the beginning of the semester. Definitely take this class!
Too much work required! And his lectures are unnecessary, no need to go b/c theyre incoherent! Stay away...seriously
This class is cake. There appears to be a lot of reading but it really turns out not to be that bad. Hardwick is an good professor and is willing to help you and give extensions on papers. The presentations aren't formal and he'll help you through it.
He teaches from primary sources, which was a fresh look at the same US history we've always had. His lectures ramble a bit. Class is laid back and only attendance policy for discussion groups.
lots of reading. I read and read all semester, and still never got too all of it. there is no point in reading nation of nations. all he is focused on is historical documents. discussion groups are cool, and also easy. it was hard, but I learned a lot
midterm & final test with each 1 long essay and 3 IDs. mini quizzes every week, lots of reading, 2 presentations each, 2 5pg essays each, and 2 commonplace books (keep quotes from all readings). but gives lots of extentions if ask, no attnd policy, and a sweet guy! go for some1 else if want it easy
Definitly take this class. You'll learn a ton of stuff and he'll make it all seem worth your while. If you're going for easy, DO NOT take this class, its not as bad as he'll make it seem the first day, he tries to cut 15-20 in the first week. Theres work and reading involved, but its worth it.
He assigns a LOT of reading, but you dont have to do much of it at all. you give 2 presentations and 2 papers which you have to read for, but thats it. Hardwick goes on tangents. Mike (AWESOME TA) will tell you the essay question & what u should write aboutin review sessions. EASY but boring
One of the BEST professors at JMU. Attendance isn't mandatory, but class is for once worth going to! There are no tests - only four 6pg. papers due approx. every 4 weeks or so. Completely understanding in regards to big assignments in other classes. Maintaining contact through email also helps.
GREAT INSTRUCTOR TAKE HIM!
AMAZING GUY! Hardwick is funny and really makes the material interesting. I'm not so big on US hist...but I made it to almost every class, and I had the 8am. Highly reccomend taking this guy!
This guy is absolutely wonderful! As a freshmen, my first semester in college he has been so helpful and willing to do anythign to help his students! He helped me with my OTHER classes, it's crazy! Definitally take him if you can! His class is a Gen ed!!
I HATE history but harwick is an amazing guy and made the class not bad at all. He knows his stuff, will help you and give you extra time if you ask for it ahead of time. Lots of reading, which i only did when i had to, I am horrible at writing essays but got a b+...not a hard class with an awesome teacher, GREAT CLASS FOR A HISTORY GENED, TAKE IT
Truly an asset to JMU, he is a brilliant man, and will do anything possible to help you as far as extensions. Extremely knowledgeable about everything related to the course. TAKE HIM.
I personally almost fell asleep every class period, and found him to be one of the most boring teachers I have had at JMU...I am a junior. The class wasn't too difficult but i was hard to stay awake through class which didn't help.
very nice man who will make you laugh...a little random on the teaching side...the assignments are easyt enough...but the midterm and the final could pose a challenge even though you have the questions before the tests...
A lot of reading, but overall not a bad class. He cares about his students and tries to help in any way possible. He tells stories during class and tries to make the topics interesting. This is the first history class I have actually enjoyed. Take him.
Hardwick is so good to his students! He works with you any way he can. You have two papers to do for his class, and i had a crapload of work to do for other classes, so he gave me extensions on them both. He cares about his students, and isn't out to get you. You also have a weekly quiz, but they are pretty easy, just do the readings. Take Him!
I would not recommend him for this class. He's a great guy but did a very poor job teaching this particular course.
TAKE HIM FOR THIS CLASS!!! so easy, I never even went just do your work on the commonplace book and prepare for the midterm and final and you will get an A or high B guarenteeded. He also teaches history in a non-bias way (through first hand docs)I got so much more out of this class then I ever thought
Dr. Hardwick is very funny. He is lenient on assignments and willingly gives you a few extra days to turn in papers. Sometimes he gets off track but, for the most part, his lectures are interesting. He comes across as a silly blunderous man but is very knowledgable in what he is teaching.
He is awesome.
Great teacher - really friendly! Tries to make lectures interesting, clear points and themes. No daily homeworks - 2 papers and 2 presentations. Exams are easy if you pay attention in lectures. Very helpful outside class and cares about how his students do in the class. Take his class!
May be the best professor at JMU. He is a genuinely nice man of good character. I have never met a professor who was so ready to give extensions on papers. No attendence policy, but if you don't go the papers will be difficult. You can tell he truly loves his job and the material, I felt bad for missing classes when I did. MUST TAKE.
Truly passionate about the subject and among the most knowledgeable and caring professors I have ever had. If you are going to take GHIST, take this professor.
Hands down THE BEST gened I have taken at JMU. The class material is interesting, relevant to our lives, and in the end, it all comes full circle, allow you to truly understand what's going on in the world today and WHY we think the way we do. Great for polysci majors. Hardwick is extremely knowledgable and just wants you to learn.
By far the BEST class EVER. Professor Hardwick's lectures are clear, interesting, and always relevent to classwork. He will do whatever it takes to help you understand the material. There are two 4-5 page essays, two group presentations (I hate public speaking but he mediates and helps you out) a midterm, and a final. No attendence policy.
This class is awful. He expects you to do way more work than is realistic.
Prof Hardwick is amazing! His class is a lot of work, but it is a 4 credit class so that can be expected. I hate american history, but I did great in this class. 2 papers, 2 group presentations. The midterm/final is really hard but if you study and keep up with reading it'll be fine! Take this class!
at first i loved this class. he is very interesting in the lectures. however after midway through the semester he got really slow grading papers and presentations. also when i did get a paper and the midterm back he is a very hard grader! perhaps too unrealistic with the amount of reading too. VERY HARD class to get an A in.
i disagree i think hardwick is a really great teacher who is passionate about history. he is a fair grader, so far i have gotten an a on everything, because i tried. if you read and do well you'll get a good grade. for the exams he gives you all of the idetifies and the exam question, he could not make it more fair. the only thing that sucks is the
YAY PROF HARDWICK WOOT WOOT Please grade my papers nicely
Take this class. No attendance for normal lecture AND he gives you all the terms you need to know for the midterm and final. A couple presentations and papers, but they're both easy. I never did the reading and still got an A. He's very passionate and makes history interesting, and I hate history... we all have to take it, and he makes it doable.
Prof Hardwick is one of the most helpful professors at JMU. He really wants his students to suceed and to learn, and he places the focus on individual's learning rather than the grade. He has a wealth of knowledge that he is willing to share with anybody who will listen. He is highly approachable and easy to talk to. Great Professor!
Dr. Hardwick is one of the best professors I've had at JMU. After taking a class with him last semester I decided to take another class with him. Very understanding about the fact that students have more than just his class. He never has anything mean to say about anyone. Take a class with this man if you have the chance!!
He was an awesome professor who was definitely willing to work with students. He will help anyone who is willing to learn and put in the effort. The class is only 2 papers, 2 presentations, a midterm and a final. He gives you the midterm question beforehand so you can outline it. Just keep up with the readings A MUST and youll be good.
Prof. Hardwick is the man! The class is more American political theory than it is memorizing dates and events. Brilliant lectures, two papers you can rewrite, and two exams with essays (he gives you the topic a couple weeks ahead), no attendance policy (but you should go). One of the nicest, most approachable professors I've ever had. The real deal
HARDWICK IS AWESOME!! He cares greatly about his students and that they learn more than the grades. He's a great guy who if he comes into class and isn't feeling well he won't suffer through it. He relates everything so perfectly. I can't describe how great of a professor he really is! TAKE HIM!!!!
be prepared for some work. its a pretty tough class but not impossible. two papers (1500 word) two group presentations two books of quotes that you must keep a midterm and a final. you will spend a lot of time reading historical documents and tracing their roots. difficult class but manageable.
Professor Hardwick's 413 Anglo-American Constitutional class is great. The reading is managable and the discussions are fun and interesting. There are two 6 page papers and an 8 page final paper but that's all. Professor Hardwick is a great professor and if you need a 400 level seminar class this is the one!
The class is pretty interesting. I didnt learn too much from the discussion days except when my group was presenting. Overall the class was good. Make sure to start the common place book early because it takes longer than you would think to put it together. Good teacher though b/c he treats us like adults
He really is a great teacher. I hate history but he has some funny comments every once in a while. The class isn't too boring for a history class. 3 papers, 2 presentations, midterm, final. He gives you the midterm question and final question early. Take him, he's not bad.
Amazing professor! I dreaded taking History but this class was not a pain at all! GO TO CLASS. Allows you to use your notes for the final & gives you the essay ahead of time so you can prepare for it...Midterm&Final, 2 EASY oral presentations, and 2 essays. TAKE HIM!
Really awesome professor! Makes the class really easy. Can use notes on the midterm and final. Only 2 papers and 2 oral presentations. Such an interesting class! TAKE HIM!
One of the best in the department. He's very understanding about class workloads and is flexible with due dates on assignments. He does a great job of prompting discussion and explaining the texts in detail. A lot of reading, but well worth it. I learned a lot from him.
I have known Dr. Hardwick for 3 years now. His enthusiasm has transformed what was previously an interest in history into a passion. Most importantly, he has taught me to think more critically about history, current events, and the media. I have Dr. Hardwick to thank for this. and isn't this what education is all about. He is THE MAN !!
Good professor. Easy class. Attend the lectures and discussion sections and you will do fine. Two essays, two group presentations. Midterm and final are both essays that he gives you at the very beginning of the semester.
Not very organized with our class, but he is still a fascinating guy. Very flexible with due dates and homework - understands that his class isn't the only one we're taking. So knowledgeable, it's crazy. LOTS of reading (about 10 books), but at least skim it and go to class and you'll be fine. 3 essays. Recommended!
Hardwick is really cool but his T.A. (who grades alot of his stuff) sucks.
He's a nice guy and wants you to get something out of the class instead of just memorizing information. You have 2 group presentations and 2 essays in discussion group, which is mandatory. You have a midterm essay and a final essay but he does not give tests so the class isn't as much about memorization of info as it is learning the concepts.
In my top 5 favorite teachers ever. Dr. Hardwick is so helpful and understanding, but expects a high quality of work from students. Gives great lectures and is willing to help with anything and everything. Attendance wasn't mandatory but he was so great I actually wanted to be there!
There is a lot of reading and you presentations and essays so you really have to keep up, but it was well worth it. He's so helpful, really passionate about history, and just a great guy!
He's a nice guy and there isn't tons of work but the lectures are so boring and unhelpful you'll never want to go to class. 2 6-8 page papers, 2 5 page papers and journals everyday are your grade. An A or B is definitely possible.
Great teacher who knows a lot about history and is always willing to help his students do better. I took this only because I had to and do not regreat taking him at all. If you are the kind of person who would rather write papers than take a test then this is the class for you. There is a lot of reading but it is ok to be a little behind.
Love him. Bit crazy and loves going off topic, but he's adorable and is really enthusiastic about history!
dude is a stud. one of the best professors ive had at jmu. he cares deeply about what he's teaching, and knows what hes talking about. I would definitely recommend him for 225. he sometimes dwells on one person for too long, but overall was clear and concise. take this class!
Professor Hardwick is a great professor! He deeply cares about his students' success and is always willing to help! You do have to put in some time for the papers he has you write but overall great class and an A or B is definitely possible! Also, his TA Professor Musselman was great and always willing to help!
Hardwick is a really nice guy. He loves to talk and you can tell he I really passionate about history. You only need two of the three textbooks. The course load is not too overwhelming. No tests just two 8 page papers, two presentations, and two 2-3 page papers. He's kind of a tough grader on his papers but is willing to explain what you did wrong if you just ask him. I only took this class bc I had to but he made it something interesting to learn about. Don't regret it at all.
Hardwick is really nice but this class is so overrated. It seems like he lives, eats and breathes this stuff so he is way too into it. He also talks WAY to much about everything and anything. the only good thing about this class is that you don't have to go.
Take his class. He is so helpful. Every time I went to see him during his office hours, he was very helpful in making me understand. Definitely read the textbooks and keep up with your commonplace book. He is very passionate about History, and wants you to be too. He also makes lectures interesting by adding a different type of word choice.
He really wants students to succeed and understand the information he presents. If you want to take this class as a GenEd take it with him because there are no tests. Best bet for non-history people for this class
Dr. Hardwick is a really great teacher. He really knows his stuff and wants his students to succeed. No test, 4 papers. 2 of those papers are lengthy, but he is very fair in grading. No attendance, but you get extra credit if you go to lecture. Overall really great teacher. TAKE HIM!
I like American History but this class is more of the development of American government philosophies. The class is easy, if you attend it will help write the papers. Which are the only things that contribute to your grade, no in-class stuff. Two 10 page papers- not great.
Hated history before this class, but Hardwick made it worth coming to lecture. Makes even the dryest material pretty interesting. He tells you exactly what you need to do to succeed, you just need to be willing to put in the effort. No exams, grades based off of 2 long/2 short papers, commonplace books, and group presentations
Dr. Hardwick is really great! He is always available to help with the papers. MAKE SURE TO STAY ON TOP OF THE READINGS AND COMMONPLACE BOOK! That will kill you if you dont do it every week- he never tells you about it but you need it to write the midterm and final papers. 4 papers and 2 easy presentations are all you have to do.
A wonderful guy who completely understands that we are hard working students with full schedules. Ready to answer all questions, very attentive to e-mail/out-of-class meetings, and looking to make this GenEd History class interesting to you.
Great teacher, overall nice guy. There is a fair amount of reading that needs to be done for this class, but there are no tests/midterms; there are only papers. He is really enthusiastic about history so it makes the class go by easier.
Dr. Hardwick is one of the best professors I have ever had. He has exceptional knowledge of the material, and he has a general care for the well being of all his students. He loves his job and will do anything to help his students exceed. Great course if you enjoy essays over exams.
Great Teacher, I learned a lot. Make sure you don't leave the common place book until the end! Take this class
Mr. Hardwick is very knowledgeable about history and is concerned for the wellbeing of the students. This class is fair. Although, it is advised that you do the readings early and go to class to understand the material. Other than that, I'd most certainty recommend taking Hardwick.
Very passionate professor. Make sure you pay attention during class. DO THE COMMONPLACE BOOK DURING THE SEMESTER. If you wait til the last minute you wont learn as much and you'll have way too much work to handle. Very rational guy, one time I had to hand something in late and he totally worked with me. If you try you can learn a lot in this class
Dr. Hardwick is passionate about history, funny, and nice. Class attendance is mandatory but you can miss some and still get full credit. There are 4 papers, graded fairly leniently and you can get an extension if you ask. Also 2 group presentations. Doing the every reading is not necessary but KEEP UP WITH THE COMMON PLACE BOOK.
Dr. Hardwick is such a nice and hilarious man. He makes a boring, dry lecture into an interesting and funny one. He likes to joke around and curse here and there but it keeps your attention. He really cares about what he's teaching and is very clear when it comes to giving you directions. Great professor; I recommend him for any HIST class.
Such a genuinely kind and caring guy. He is all about giving extensions if needed and is always willing to answer emails or phone calls with any questions. He really cares about his students doing well. Highly recommend, just a good guy to get to know if nothing else.
Hardwick is an easy professor. There are 2 papers, 2 presentations as well as a midterm and final paper. You have to create a "commonplace book" with quotes from all the documents covered in class. START IT EARLY. Found out about it late and scrambled for the midterm. Overall easy class, boring lectures, mandatory for attendace purposes.
Hardwick is approachable and loves what he is teaching. Grades in the class: 6 page Doc analysis, presentations(2), and midterm&final(10ish pgs each) and common place book(very long, ITS A BOOK). Takes a lot of time for papers & book, but not too difficult. Just DO NOT PROCRASTINATE.
I have always hated history in the past and my friends recommended me to take Hardwick because they thought it was fairly easy. Turns out I really enjoyed actually going to his class and retained a LOT of info from this gen ed. He's so reasonable and genuinely wants you to to succeed in this class. Definitely take his class!
Really great guy! Cares so much about the grades of his students and is very lenient if you can not make a deadline. Work on the commonplace book from the beginning and you'll be fine! Definitely recommend him for GHIST 225!
Hardwick is one of the nicest professors on campus. He is very enthusiastic about his lectures and makes them very interesting. There are two big papers (midterm and final) throughout the year, but he is very accommodating with due dates. Take him if you can.
Kevin is a great guy! Very enthusiastic about the material and you can tell he loves what he's doing. Does a great job of being unbiased with political views, which is rare nowadays. The class isn't too hard. Two oral group presentations, two 5 page papers and two 8 page papers. No homework or quizes. Definitely take Kevin for this class!
Dr. Hardwick is a great lecturer and unlike some other history professors, is very engaging in class. The class has two papers counted as the mid term and final exam and two more brief essays. This is a well structured course taught by a talented professor.
This class is one of the best general education classes that I've taken. Professor Hardwick is very passionate about the subject and is extremely knowledgable. The class has a fair amount of work but it's well worth the time. ---Don't wait to do the Common Place book until the end or it'll "throw you under the bus". I would recommend this to anyone
READ: I've already made a rating,(decent GenEd to take) but I had to make another to save your life. DO THE COMMONPLACE BOOK. DO IT. IT WILL BE HORRIBLE. AND SEEM POINTLESS. BUT GUARANTEED TO SAVE YOUR BUTT ON THE MIDTERM AND FINAL PAPERS. I would not have been able to write my Final paper without the commonplace book.DO IT.It'll save you're life.
Kevin is such a passionate and helpful teacher. He makes this lecture as interesting as possible and makes such an effort to assist students and always be readily available. The papers are really difficult but if you work hard and show interest he will always help you out. I recommend this class but be willing to put in work!
Great guy, willing to go out of his way to help students, understands life happens and works with you. No tests, two 10 page papers for midterm and final. Lectures kind of confusing and jumbled but he does his best and gets carried away because he is so passionate about what he teaches. Common place book a bear=DO RIGHT AWAY. Did learn a lot!
Kevin is a great professor. He ensures that each students does their best to succeed in the course. I definitely am not a history person, but this class was fairy interesting and the lectures were not too dry. I would recommend it for those who prefer papers of tests.
Hardwick is awesome! His lectures are rarely boring because he's really passionate about what he teaches. There are no tests, but there are 4 papers (2 long ones, 2 medium) and 2 group presentations. There are also 2 Common Place Books, which are basically long collection of quotes from the readings with some explanations.
I highly recommend Dr. Hardwick. His lectures were always incredible and thought-provoking. He is a brilliant and caring professor and very quick to respond to emails. This is a class that will change the way you think and view America politically. Be ready to write some papers but no tests were given. 4 papers and 2 presentations. Have fun!
Dr. Hardwick is a great professor. He is very engaging in lectures, and it is easy to see that he loves what he teaches. This class is very manageable, he gives no tests and throughout the semester you will write 4 papers and give 2 presentations. I left this class appreciating history a bit more than when I first started the semester.
I only had Dr. Hardwick for lecture, but from that it was hard to pay attention to it sometimes. I already knew a lot of history before the class, so sometimes I would end up on the internet instead of taking notes. I put effort into this class and for an B+ when I needed a 98 on the final to get an A. If you know history, this GenEd is easy.
There are no tests or quizzes, your grade is solely dependent on 2 unit analysis essays which are about 5 pages each, 2 group presentations based on readings, 2 common place books composed of quotes throughout the semester (DO NOT WAIT UNTIL LAST MINUTE), and 2 exam essays which should be at least 10 pages each. Pointless lectures, tough grader
Crazy smart and very into the subject. Presents clear and interesting ideas about the formation of the United States. Mostly focuses on government and some philosophy (Locke, etc) and avoids wars almost entirely. Great teacher, no tests just papers. A is possible, B is pretty easy. No attendance policy
Dr. Hardwick is such a great Professor. 4 papers, 2 presentations, and attendance. No tests! You are allowed to turn in papers late if you talk with him before and have a legitimate reason. I am not a History major but loved his lectures and actually made my friend come with me to some. TAKE HIM!
He is a very interesting professor and for this class you only had to 4 papers and 2 presentations which are easy to get a good grade on. He is very approachable and his lectures are very interesting! Definitely take him!
He's a really great professor, but he goes off on really long tangents sometimes. The entire class consists of group essays, which most everyone gets A's on. The books for this class are terrible though, as they are hard to read, boring, and extremely long.
Lectures are easy to follow along 4 Papers (2 are document analysis, 1 midterm, 1 final) No tests Very clear and detailed as the professor for discussion group Chill guy
Hardwick was really great. I was nervous to take this class, but it was surprisingly manageable. We wrote two document analysis papers (5pg), and two exam papers (10pgs- one counted for the midterm and the other counted for the final) and we were graded on 2 group presentations (NOT AS SCARY AS IT SEEMS), and your commonplace book! HE IS SO HELPFUL
I got lucky and had the TA teach my discussion section, and he wasn't a tough grader. However, Hardwick was really nice but his lectures were so boring, I could never figure out the point. Randomly calls on people to answer confusing questions. LONG papers. like 6 really long booklets that didn't need to be that long. Just keep up your commonplace
Hardwick is the best professor I've ever had. I had him when I was a freshman, interior-design major, and taking his class alone made me switch to a history major. He may not be the clearest to understand in his lectures, as he tends to go on tangents, but he's one of the most passionate people I've ever been around. One of my absolute role models.
The midterm paper had to be 14pgs!! It was the most difficult paper I ever had to write. Despite what I originally thought, a class with real exams is way better than his essays. He is sweet but loves talking a little too much and interrupts group discussion so you don't get to all the material needed for the paper. Don't do it. Save yourself.
Kevin is great! 225 is a demanding course being 4 credits but he really wants to help you and give you a new perspective on US History. There are no tests, just 2 group presentations, 2 document analyses, and 2 papers (midterm and final). While the midterm and final are extensive, if you keep up with the material, you should be okay. Recommended!
No tests, just a total of four essay assignments as well as two group presentations. Really an easy class if you do the readings and pay attention. Hardwick is my favorite professor I've had at JMU. So easy to connect to and is incredibly friendly. Even if you're not good at history, take this class if you can get Hardwick; he is the absolute best.
Funny and loves to talk A LOT. Very understanding and helpful. SUGGESTION: THERE ARE TWO 12 PAGE ESSAYS + COMMON BOOKS DO NOT START THE WEEK BEFORE OR YOU'LL HATE YOURSELF. Write down notes more so in discussion on the documents because that's what you need for your papers. Hardwick's class is just supplementary. He makes class interesting though.
Dr. Hardwick is a real professor. He has really thought everything through, read all the books, really encourages dialogue, and although he teaches political matters, he does not force his views on the students.
Hardwick manages to remain ideologically neutral in a political philosophy class. A truly amazing lecturer. He is extremely engaging and passionate. The material that was covered was extremely interesting and relevant. If you take notes during lectures and do the common place book ahead of time, you will love this class.
Definitely need the textbook. Hardwick's class is unlike any of the other 225 classes. You are allowed to miss a bunch of classes and it won't matter (like 20 absences a semester or something.) Expect two 5-page papers and two 12-page papers. My discussion was taught by the TA, so expect that. Hardwick was very nice though and loves his job.
Kevin Hardwick is such a sweet man! He makes history interesting and obviously loves his job. He'll help you as long as you ask for it. Two big papers for each unit and please for the love of God, do your commonplace book all throughout the semester. Trust me, you'll thank yourself when you have to write the papers. Take him, you'll love it!
I thought this class was very easy. Missing class isn't a problem and there aren't any tests. There are 2 very large essays that you just need to start a few weeks in advance. They are difficult to do last minute. There are also a couple oral presentations you do with a group that are easy. He is very passionate and makes class interesting.
Hardwick has been my favorite professor at JMU. He is so understanding and really wants you to enjoy his class and take something away from it at the end of the semester. There are four papers that you have to write but if you go to discussion he helps you with what content and organization you should put them in which is a life saver!!!
Hardwick is such a baller. He loves teaching and just wants everyone to learn and take something away from his class at the end of the semester. There are two four-page essays and two twelve-page essays but they're pretty easy. Take this man 100%
Dr. Hardwick was one of the best professors I've ever had. His lectures are amazing and really make you think even outside of class. His class is very unique because he makes you trace ideas throughout history. The grading is tough, but if you go to his office hours he will help you improve on your writing. 4 essays, 2 presentations. Take him!!!
Dr. Hardwick has been one of my favorite professors I've had. He's extremely intelligent and cares about his students. Discussion is super easy - just listening to group presentations. The papers are long but not hard by any means. If you pay attention, take notes, and pace yourself with the work, an A is no problem. Take Hardwick!
Great professor, but midterm/final papers are excessive (10-12 pages). He gives very clear and helpful outlines for the papers, great feedback, and is pretty lenient in his grading. The papers arent hard, juts long and it takes a while to write them. Lectures are really helpful to writing papers and hes really passionate about history
If you can't get at least a B in this class you probably don't belong in college. Dr. Hardwick is one of the sweetest, and most knowledge professors I've had a JMU. The paper's are long, (10-12 pages, 4-5) but everything that is needed is CLEARLY laid out. Def take this for your history gen ed. So chill.
He is a really nice guy and a good professor, be warned his lectures often lose their destination which can lead to never learning. Overall a pretty good class, 4 papers and two group oral presentations. As for the books, don't waste your money
I LOVE KEVIN HARDWICK! He is such a sweet guy, and really loves what he does. You only have to write 4 papers for his class, and if you don't wait until the last second, and use your lecture notes with the book, you can easily get an A. The discussion section of the class is fairly easy as well, just show up & do what you're assigned. A great prof.
I absolutely love Dr. Hardwick! Such a sweet man! He is SO passionate about history and really cares about his students. His lectures are always amazing and filled with interesting information. As for the class itself, the papers are LONG and time consuming! Start early!! Also, attendance matters so go to every lecture! Definitely take Hardwick!
Dr. Hardwick is very passionate. Personally, i got bored in class but it was pretty easy. two pages papers and the midterm are both 10-12 pages but don't let that scare you!! he gets that a lot of people haven't done that before and really steps you through it. he doesn't give out too many A's though, mostly B's and B+s. def would recommend though
Dr. Hardwick is AMAZING. He's so smart and the way he structures his class is really nice. Rather than taking quizzes and tests, he only assigns 2 document analysis essays, which are not difficult, and a midterm and final exam essay. During his discussion sections he is so helpful. If you have the option to take his class, you'd be stupid not to
Professor Harwick's class isn't the usual history class. We read documents from politicians from the 1700s up to Ronald Reagan's presidency. There are four main papers to write in his class and they are pretty lengthy papers but he lays out specifically how to write them. Overall a good professor.
Kevin Hardwick is amazing! Not the typical american history class, based off essays that he grades very fairly! Gives hints and tips throughout lectures for papers so it is important to attend most lectures. He is extremely helpful during office hours. I would definitely take this class again!
Dr. Hardwick truly is one of the best professors in the history department. He does reading seminars for his upper level classes, so understandably there is heavy emphasis on reading. With that said, papers are minimal and there is no required research. Truly cares about his students and you will learn a lot. Can't recommend enough.
Dr. Hardwick is such a knowledgeable person. Class is sometimes dull but overall if you put in work you'll get a good grade. If you plan out your papers ahead of time it's nothing to stress about. Definitely would recommend this class
At last, a real history professor!
Dr. Hardwick is the best! There are 4 main papers throughout the semester but he does a great job of clearly laying out exactly what he wants. The lectures can be boring but you want to go because you can tell he really cares about what he is talking about. I would recommend, definitely one of the better options for HIST225.
Take Dr. Hardwick's Atlantic History class. Assigns 7 books, but you won't be sorry. Hardwick is a really inspirational yet laid back guy. He loves to ask the important questions in seminar. This class requires you to read a lot outside of class for 3 papers, but class discussions are very casual and often times insightful. Hardwick knows his stuff
Let me just start out by saying I SUCK at history but I did well in this class. 2 group presentations and 4 long papers which are long so start early. DON'T do the commonplace book right before or you'll hate yourself. An A in his class is a 95 which is really ridiculous, but an A- is very attainable so I highly recommend he's a really nice guy
Dr. Hardwick is a fantastic professor. The best lecturer I have taken at JMU. His class isnt easy though. Probably the most work I've put into a Gen Ed at JMU. However- if you put in the work, you get an A. So if you are willing to work for it, definitely take this class. Lots of writing, but you learn a lot from him.
Dr. Hardwick is pretty cool. Not a single test in his class but 2 five page papers and 2 ten page papers. Don't let that scare you though, he gives you the format and is more than willing to spend his time outside of class to help you write your papers or even if you just want to talk about some of the course topics. TAKE HIM!!
Hardwick is such a great guy! Though attendance is optional, if you actually go to the lectures he really helps in terms of what to talk about during your 2 document analysis's (3-4 pgs) and your exam papers (10-12 pgs). He genuinely cares about all of his students and wants them to succeed, so definitely go to his office hours and you'll get an A
Prof Harwick is such an amazing and kind man. You can tell that he's very passionate about what he teaches. All of your grades come from weekly discussion questions as well as two commonplace notebooks and two exam essays that are 10-12 pages long each. It sounds like a lot but you have a lot of time and he is there for you throughout it all
Professor was the nicest professor I had this past semester. His lectures were really interesting and easy to follow because he explained very well and connected events in history to present day (very helpful to mention on his essays btw). No tests, just two essays that aren't terribly long and two group presentations that were an easy A.
Dr. Hardwick is truly one of the nicest and most genuine professors I've ever met. You can tell he truly cares that everyone gets something out of his class and actually learns rather than just memorize information.
Hardwick is so kind! You can tell he truly cares about his students. No tests in the class, just weekly discussion posts, two commonplace books, and two 10 page papers. It seems like a lot of work, but it's a nice trade in for no tests and quizzes. Plus Hardwick or his TA will always be willing to help you!
No exams, only a 10 page midterm paper and final paper that aren't terrible if you do the weekly discussion posts throughout the semester. Also two oral presentations that are graded easily and you can read right off your paper. Attendance wasn't mandatory until the last two weeks when no one showed up. Lectures are dry but overall, class isn't bad
Hardwick is one of the best professors I have encountered at JMU. I had him for a Gen ed class at 8am, and although I was half asleep at times, I was never bored in his class. I went to him more than once outside of class just to chat and every time I left amazed by how a man of such intellect could level with me, a 19 year old "kid." AMAZING!!!
Very smart guy and knows the material enthusiastically. Has a habit of being vague and overly complicating with instruction so ask questions and give feedback. Thankfully Kevin is open to critique and advice to make class a great experience. Oh and he likes to talk.
super nice guy and super smart. really solid professor who genuinely wants you to do well in the class. He is clear on all of his assignments and is pretty understanding. Can be a lot of work if you don't keep up with the readings and go to class, but overall would recommend.
One of my favorite professors I had! Very interesting lectures, overall nice and understanding guy. Attendance is not mandatory but I went every time because I loved the class! Weekly discussion questions based on lecture and reading. Two papers (midterm and final) but were not boring topics. Highly recommend!
Dr Hardwick is a super knowledgable guy who loves history and is passionate about it but is ALL over the place in his lectures. He almost gets too excited and just rambles about things. This is the hardest gened I have ever taken! His rubrics say that discussions are 100-300 words but you only get full credit if you write a book every week :(
The lectures are not very important and i only went to them for like the first month them skipped for the rest of the year and did fine. the smaller class is more difficult especially depending on who you get teaching it. i got a ga and she graded our homework very harshly while other classes with hardwick as the other teacher were getting easy As.
This class is graded on two group presentations, two 10 page papers, and weekly discussion posts. His lectures are not the most exciting as he is a bit of a rambler, but he is obviously passionate about his work. The textbooks are a must-have and help you with everything you're graded on.
Dr. Hardwick is very passonate about what he teachers and he's super approachable. Weekly discussion posts, two group projects, and two long essays. He cancelled lectures a decent amount this semester. His lectures can be boring but just record them. If you put in basic effort you can easily get a solid B, and if you enjoy history it's an easy A
super understanding and passionate! I don't like history and was dreading this class but it ended up being one of my favorite classes I've taken this semester. The two exam papers are pretty easy as it's based off your discussion posts. Take notes during the lecture videos and you'll be good to go. Also a very easy grader.
Hardwick is an awesome guy, but this class was a lot of work, discussion posts are a lot and theres sm reading, the papers are long. Hes an easy grader but if your not a history major or you want an easier effortless gen ed Id take this class w another professor, it takes up a good amount of time.
A fair amount of reading but papers are not bad. Four papers for the whole semester with them getting progressively longer. Starts at 2 pages for the first and ends at 8 pages for your research paper which is your exam. Very easy grader and entertaining in class. Good teacher overall.
History 225 is a hard class. Dr. Hardwick gives weekly discussion board questions and a 10 page paper for the midterm/final. While it was difficult at times, I really felt like benefitted from this class.
Love Professor Hardwick!! Hands down my favorite professor. The class consists of 4 papers based on the books you have to read, and the fourth paper is the final. He has clear grading criteria, but you also have weekly discussions on the readings before writing the papers. He's such a funny, down to earth guy and really wants you to succeed!!
My TA graded everything and ran our discussion zooms once a week, but Hardwick seemed like a good professor overall. 2 10 page papers as the midterm and final which are basically made up of the discussion posts you write once a week. If you like writing more than tests, this is definitely the class for you. The papers aren't as bad as you'd think.
This guy is really passionate about History and an interesting person in general. I literally never went to class online but we had the chance to talk on the phone twice. He and I discussed the random history things that we enjoyed for like an hour. He doesn' grade THAT hard but READ INSTRUCTIONS FOR HIS CLASS!!! You need both books for this class.
Professor Hardwick was one of the best professors I have ever had. There are no tests and you are only graded on discussion board and two 10 page papers. He genuinely cares about all his students and wants everyone to succeed. He even helped edit one of my papers when I called him for help. He provides his phone number and is 100% accessible.
Hardwick made HIST 395 really interesting and challenging. There is a lot of reading, but during seminar he'll always give you useful insights that help with your papers. He also gives amazing feedback on how to improve your writing in papers. He is also really understanding and cares about your well being, so don't be afraid to reach out to him!
Very great professor. Makes you work for your grade and there is a lot of reading. Graded on 7-8 assignments which are essentially 3-5 page essays which aren't too hard. As long as you get some learning done in the class he is happy. Very very cool and nice guy. Also accesible outside of class. Gives you his phone number.
Professor Hardwick is an amazing Professor who provides engaging and thoughtful readings from a textbook that he wrote himself. While I generally dislike reading hw, the assigned excerpts were always interesting. There are weekly writing paragraphs and two 10 page papers instead of a midterm and final. He also literally gives you his phone number.
Professor Hardwick is a very knowledgeable professor who will greatly cover the information in a given lecture, however, these lectures are a bit boring. My only real problem with the class is that your grade basically is controlled by two exam essays, so be aware of that. If you mess those up youre toast.
Dr Hardwick really knows his stuff and is so Caring. He didnt give us any exams, only papers that are considered exam grades. The readings every week are very important. You will regret not doing the reading when its time to write the paper because the two papers cover all of unit 1 and all of unit 2. And each paper has to be around 12 pages long.
Hes super chill, not a lot of homework but honestly the midterm and the final are really time consuming. We dont have tests but its a lot of work
Professor Hardwick's class was great. Grades are based on two essays and weekly discussion posts, no tests. His lectures were not the most engaging, but they were informative and if you pay attention, the essays are not bad. He is always available to answer questions outside of class and is always willing to help!
Not a lecture based class (its a seminar), so I would be prepared to talk bc he may call you out once he learns your name. He is a really nice professor and is very available to talk. The class only has 6 assignments so you should really do the readings, and he leaves amazing feedback on the papers so definitely read them.
Hardwick's lectures are pretty hard to listen to especially if you aren't a big history person. Your grade in the class is basically made up of how well you do on two 12 page papers which are graded by the TA/ Grad assistant. Not too bad of a class, just a little boring if you don't love history.
He is the nicest person I have ever met, seriously a genuine human being and SO understanding. Lots of papers but they are honestly fairly easy. You also set your own deadlines which is super nice. You don't have to show up but it is super beneficial because he gives answers to the essays and highlights key parts of the readings. LOTS OF READINGS
The lectures and discussion classes aren't mandatory so your grade mainly comprises of two 10 page essays that are time consuming to write but aren't that bad. There are weekly online participation grades based on creating 1 question and 2 answers that are easy as long as you remember to do them. Overall, a great choice for HIST225!
Dr. Kevin Hardwick made me not hate HIST395 seminar. I dealt with a lot this semester such as recovering from a car crash, being sick for two weeks, and my grandmother getting diagnosed with breast cancer. He was extremely kind and left really good feedback on my homework assignments. I will be taking him again next semester.
Great teacher. Do the readings, write down the quotes from class and from your readings for your final paper and you will be fine.
This has to be the easiest 4 credit class ever. The class is broken up between one discussion class and 3 lectures. You only have one discussion board due every Sunday and two "exam essays" which are your midterm and final. There are no tests. He is one of the nicest professors I've ever seen teach. Very knowledgeable. Highly recommend, trust me.
My favorite professor. He is awesome. 2 essays (50% of grade) and one discussion assignment per week (50% of grade). NO FINAL AND NO TEXTBOOK. Definitely not an easy A but he is very clear and nice. Would recommend.
Super easy class, as long as you show up and do the work. Lectures are a little hit or miss, he's either pretty much outlining your unit essays for you or going off on random tangents that prevent you from getting through the powerpoint entirely. He doesn't post the slides on canvas either, so be careful when skipping class.
The class is pretty interesting and not too difficult as long as you come to class and take decent notes. 2 7-8 papers make up 50% of your grade.
Not sure if hes still teaching next semester but he made this 225 class a breeze. He made attendance mandatory after the mid terms because not many people showed up. Hes a really nice guy and extremely accessible outside of class. Cares about us, highly recommend.
Dr. Hardwick is a very nice and caring professor. The class itself is very lecture and reading heavy. If you don't do the readings/don't understand the readings the class is a bit difficult. There are two 8 page essays that are 50% of your grade. If you don't take good notes in class the essays will take awhile.
Hardwick is the coolest person ever but his lectures can be boring sometimes!! He talks mainly from the powerpoint and many of the notes can be done at another time. THE ESSAYS ARE SUCH A BIG PART OF YOUR GRADE!! I would recommend taking really good notes and understanding the readings every week!
Professor Hardwick is one the special professor. He makes the history class different, not only by using a lot of interesting stories but also making tons of connection with modern examples. He is very kind person, will help you anytime if you need him. Prepare a lot reading (weekly discussion board), and two essays are count as two test (NO FINAL)
Attendance became mandatory halfway through the semester, but we were allowed 6 excused absences before it affected your grade. Most of your grade relies on 2 8-10 page exam essays that cover the first 7 weeks and the last 7-8 weeks. Professor Hardwick is a very intelligent and knowledgeable person who is more than willing to help you if you ask.
I highly recommend for hist 225. This class composed of two 8 page essays (mid term and final exam) which were a bit time consuming but pretty straight forward as long as you write down the quotes that he uses in the lectures. For homework there is a weekly discussion board post and then you reply to a classmate. You are also allowed 6 absences.
Professor Hardwick is a great history teacher he is very passionate and cares about the students understanding of the subject matter. Meets three times a week assignments due each week two papers and if you do not understand there are plenty of TAs who will help you if he doesn't
I never really loved history, but this class made me love history so much more. Dr. Hardwick is extremely intelligent and I was able to relate a lot of his lectures to real life scenarios which added a lot of value to the class. There are a lot of readings but the workload is very manageable. TA's were also great, Preston you were a real one.
Professor Hardwick makes history engaging with real-life connections. The workload is manageable, and the TAs are very helpful. For study prep, unstuck study is a great resource alongside the assigned readings.
I'd say take this class. Its a lot of work/reading for a GenEd, but he is super flexible with extensions, you can get a good grade without reading just by searching up short summaries. I have a 95 in this class after the midterm, and I barely try for this class. The lecture attendance isn't mandatory, but the discussions he takes attendance.
If you miss class you're screwed because he does not post his slides on canvas. No exams, 4 1000 word essays throughout the course which are easy to write if you take notes on his slides. He's nice but often goes on really long tangents in class and it feels like your time is being wasted.
Great guy. Just read and you will an A. He honestly really cares about his students and makes it known. One writing assignment a week. Will give you an extension if needed.
Such a great professor, meet twice a week for lecture, and discussion for 50 minutes. He takes attendance during discussions but not lecture. short papers every week, easy to do, and 4 1000 word essays, still not too bad if you make sure you follow the rubric.
Lecture heavy, and he will call on you if you're not engaged!!!! If you don't show up, he will take attendance. Each week, a discussion board is due on the readings (5-6) for the week. You are expected to know what's happening in them. There are 4 major summaries—no tests or quizzes, just papers. 3 required books, 2 you can get online.
I loved Hardwick's class! Although he's very lecture heavy all of the points are based off of the weekly readings. 5-6 readings per week that are hard to follow at some points, but most of your class points come from discussion posts which are just you asking questions about the readings. 4, 1,000 word unit summaries that are bearable.
Good option for a gen ed. Hardwick is a super nice guy, lectures are just boring. Preston was SOOO helpful if you get him as your GA. No tests, just weekly discussion posts and 4 essays. You have to read to do well, but it's not terrible.
Hardwick is such a great professor who truly cares about his students. The lectures can be boring, but notes from lecture are very useful for weekly discussion posts and unit essays. He is very knowledgeable and explains everything clearly. Textbook is required and is used heavily for documents and homework. Highly recommend taking this class.
He's such a sweet guy and really cares about what he's teaching. Lectures are boring and if you don't show up he will make attendance mandatory. Weekly discussions where he pretty much just talks at you. Pretty easy grader if you do the work but it's a lot of reading and weekly discussion posts. 4 unit essays, not too bad. I'd take him again
Had to come review just to say how much I enjoyed the class, took it as a gen ed just because I needed it and ended up enjoying it a lot. he is such a nice guy and probably the most understanding professor I have ever had. Definitely a good class to take if your looking for a filler.
Hardwick is a very nice and caring guy who is very passionate about the material and truly cares for his students. There are discussion board posts each week, and 4 1000 word unit summary essays for each unit. As well, a lot of reading is assigned and is used heavily for the weekly assignments, but not too terrible. Would take him again.
Dr. Hardwick was an awesome professor, and really understanding, while I was adjusting as a first year. His lectures may be a little long, and for some it may be hard to stay focused, but he blends humor, and real life experiences to keep you in tuned. Kinda paper heavy but pretty easy to earn at least a B. Also really understanding for extensions.
The class was pretty easy, as there are only a few essays throughout the semester. He changes the workload depending on the semester, I hear so take that with salt. There are a lot of readings but he tells you the important ones so you can weed it out. The attendance wasn't mandatory till late semester when a lot of students didn't show up.
So much reading, but I enjoyed all of them. The classes were all about discussing the readings, when he did not get sidetracked talking about a semi-related topic. Very relaxed environment, even when annoyed that people didn't do the readings. All the papers on the sources were intended to help students complete the final 16 page paper.
Take professor Hardwick if you can he is an amazing professor! He was extremely helpful outsde class and you can communicate via text or call on his phone. He has high standards for his students and wants everyone to do well. Only down fall is lectures are kind of boring he talks most of the time so its less discussion based.
Super easy teacher, if you struggle with him, you shouldn't be in college. He genuienly likes to have fun and talk with the class. He lets you extend your due date if you need it. 4 essays in total and 1 discussion board every week 150-400 words.
Dr. Hardwick is a great guy and truly cares about this subject and his students but I found that the workload was a little much. You're basically writing an essay every week plus 4 actual essays over the semester. There are no exams though which is nice. Discussion attendance is mandatory. There are easier professors you can take for HIST225.
Extremely nice dude. 3 Lectures weekly and one discussion meeting. Weekly assignments that are writings. If you get the TA grading might be tougher but it is very easy to get at least a B. Nicest professor i'll ever have love the dude. take him
I love this professor! No tests or quizzes, just weekly reading and writing, and it's all pretty easy. Lectures can be a bit slow, but he always cracks jokes and keeps things light. Attendance is required for discussions, but they're super easy. I'd definitely take him again!
I would take this class again in a heartbeat. He truly is so nice and very flexible with the work. There are no exams just weekly assignments and 4 essays. Your small group meets once a week and that is the only time attendance is mandatory. He will start taking attendance if people stop showing up to the class.
I LOVE this professor! He's definitely one of the sweetest professors I have ever met. So sweet that I feel bad for skipping the class. There are NO TESTS OR FINALS, the homework is only 1 150-200 word essay and a 300-400 word essay per week. His grading is very lenient, encourages using resources (ai) as long as you cite it but don't rely on it!
Hardwick is an amazing guy. You will have weekly discussion boards and an essay for each unit. I highly recommend you take it with him as the conductor for the discussion hour as well, otherwise you will be stuck with a TA. He gives amazing feedback. As long as you read the documents you will do well.
Professor Hardwick is great, but his TAs do the grading and run the discussion courses once a week. My TA (Anthony Cordova Ramirez) was not on top of grading, did not incite stimulating conversation in class, and did not give clear instructions on certain things which led me to getting a somewhat low grade on a final assignment.
This was the easiest classes I've taken at JMU. It's technically a LARP class but don't let that scare you! You "play" someone who was at the Constitutional Convection and have to give a speech or 2 as that person. You votes on amendments and other bills to pass, its overall very fun, you become very close with your class, and its an easy 100.
