Amazing teacher!! explains things very well, give out quizes everyday but before the quiz, reviews what will be on the quiz. He drops low grade to help the student get a higher score. Best math teacher i've ever had!! =)

IF YOU ARE A MATH RETARD, HE IS DEFINITELY THE PROFESSOR YOU'D LOVE.. He fully explains the material and makes a major effort in helping you. hes my all time favorite teach, i wish he thought all subjects!

I had him for statistics over the summer time and it was the easiest class I had ever taken. He's really good at explaining things and teaches very slow so everyone can understand (which actually gets annoying at times because it gets too easy). I highly recommend him! He's a wonderful math teacher! =)

Professor Johnson is the best, with quizzes everyday, points for homework and extra credit you are guaranteed an A. I hated math until i took his Math class, i ended up being the top student in his class at the end of the course.

Professor gives points just for attending class, who wouldnt want that. He explains stuff so that you have to get it, anyone that takes one of his classes and fails its their own fault, because he really tries to make sure that his students understand the material and get good grades. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM.

He commands an attentive audience without having to say a word. In addition to his professionalism and teaching method, I was impressed with his extra help outside of the classroom. Mr. Johnson is an all-around type of teacher. Good for every level. Explains things so that the mentally challenged all the way to the nerdy geek in the class can understand things. Meets at everyones level. Everything is "simply" taught. Very optimistic teacher.

This teacher explains math to everyone at everyone's level. Very good teacher. If you walk in, not knowing a whole lot about math, you will walk out knowing more than you expected. Echoing previous comments that Mr Johnson is a true professional. Little quizzes everyday on the previous lecture, before this quizz there is a little review which is useful if you missed class. I wouldn't make a habit on relying on that review, it's pretty brief. He will drop your lowest 2 quizzes. Participation is mandatory and useful. A+ Class.

Prof. J is a very professional and organized teacher. Everyday there is a quiz BUT think of this as a way to help you study and ace this class. He breaks the material down so there is almost no reason why no one should get math. He does use all class time so don't be surprised when you are still learning something in the last second! Take him!!!

Does not joke with grading, so make sure you get everything right.Try not to miss class and be ready for his everyday quizz.U will do just fine.There was no extral credit so it was a bit challeging.Keep your quizz average at least in the 90s and ur test in the 80+ and u will get a A. He is a good professor, but I do not like the random calling on you in class. I feel like I'm back in High School. I feel the class felt somewhat rushed. Didn't really get to ask to many questions. Overall, he is a good and organized teacher.

Without any doubt, he is the best Maths Prof of Montgomery College!!! He explains things so clearly, and the Mathxl exercises he gives are really helpful. In my opinion those exercises are the key to pass his class. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PROF!!

In my opinion, the best MA Professor that TP/SS Campus can afford. I took his class before and received an A (MA091). Then, I went on to take MA103 and received a B. Now, I'm taking MA116 and I'm pretty sure I'll get at least a B and I'll be surprised if I get an A. There are 3 exams and plenty of quizzes plus MA-XL. Highly recommended to anyone!

Best damn math teacher i've ever had. I've taken calc 5 times and he's the only one that made it make sense. Lots of quizzes, lots of homework, but if you aren't great at math he's your man. Again: Best. Math. Teacher. Ever.

OK hes very articulate and comprehensive about the work.. he makes math easy because he is soooo oragnized..BE AWARE he will give quizez everyday on the topic gone over the previous day!! all u need to do is copy everything he writes down and study the notes and ull pass the class!! For the final just study the previous tests u have taken!

This man..really cares and he loves math and you may not love it after you take his class but you will walk out two feet taller and ten times smarter. Not an easy grade, but if you take any class he teaches, you will never, never,never have a problem in any math course at Montgomery College or any four year college. You can master math finally!

Professor Johnson is one of THE BEST teachers that the Takoma Park campus has to offer. Before this class, I hated math, but now I am really learning. He is extremely clear in his teachings, and if he you tell him when you are lost or confused, he clarifies it and gives examples until you understand. I recommend him for ANY math course he teaches.

He is a wonderful professor. He explains everything in such a way that is understandable and you can tell that he loves math. I am taking him for MA103 this semester and seeing that his class is waitlisted with about 7 people shows how good of a professor he is! Take him if you wanna learn!

He is organized and concise! He gives quizzes at the beginning of class so BE ON TIME and b/c there is a quiz almost in every class, you are learning the subject without even trying. Take him, he is the BEST!

He is fast. he gives quizzes every day other than following a test. he doesn't use the text book, but he goes from it. He gives ALL classes 1 hour to take a test, no more. He doesn't answer emails. If you are weak in math, take someone else. Other than that, he is a good teacher, just not for me.

He is a very good teacher. I am not good in math at all throughout high school I was a B's and C's student in math but when it came to his class I was forced to do well by doing homework everyday and reviewing for a quiz every class. He drops your lowest grades and allows you to keep your best grade for finals. He is awesome!

He was a good teacher but not for me(terrible at math). You MUST be average to excellent at math to pass his class because he is very fast paced. NEVER USED THE TEXTBOOK! Someone here said that he is socially awkward: he is. Asking him questions or seems to throw him off a , but he is nice, I guess. Random name calling for questions is annoying btw

Professor Johnson is honestly THE BEST math teacher I've EVER had. He will have you take a quiz every class, and call on you randomly to answer math questions. These two tools I must say are the only sure fire way to get some people to pay attention and he has helped me truly understand the concept of math. Highly recommended!

I seriously LOVE THIS MAN. He is the most CLEAR math prof at all of Mont college. Even though there is a quiz everyday, it forces you to do homework and practice. His tactics WORK. You will learn and understand.

Unless you are naturally excellent at math, don't expect to get any sleep until you are finish taking this man's course. He's very fast-paced, distributes quizzes every day and doesn't waste time. I don't recommend him to the average student, but if a challenge is your thing, go for it.

Mr Johnson is an extremely organized and dedicated teacher. He runs a demanding program, but if you are capable of showing up everyday, following along during all of class, and able to do your online hw every night, then you will pass and you will be prepared for the quiz that he gives everyday. He really is an excellent teacher.

Glad I took this class. He moved very fast and gave quizzes everyday, but the way he taught was so clear and understanable that I think I learned a lot. His class is a bit of a challenge so don't expect anything that easy.

I took a statistics class with Professor Johnson. Unlike other professors, he is very organized, knows exactly what hes going to cover, and is ready to help you, often in class. He used to open MathXl and solve problems with us on the projector. His writing and explanations are clear, but be ready to take tons of notes, and don't miss any classes.

Best math teacher I've ever had. He is really patient, never gets annoyed at questions, and goes through everything step by step so it's really clear. He gives MathXL homework after every class and a quiz on that material the next class. It seems like a lot, but it never takes much time and really makes sure you get each concept before moving on.

I never really understood calculus and thought it was extremely hard in the past when I took it, but he was very thorough (went over every step, almost always) and really helped me understand. I hardly even studied outside of what he lectured and was able to comprehend the material and do well in the class.

Professor Johnson is by far one of the best professors i've had. He is an exceptional lecturer and explains EVERYTHING very thoroughly while delivering the material in a way that makes it fairly simple to understand. This class was a lot of work but you will genuinely learn a lot. He likes to call on people randomly so try to always pay attention.

Self paced math class . He provides deadlines in order to pass the course in one semester. Be advise that if you don't complete the course in one semester , you lose all progress made.

I took this professor this summer session in math096. It was a very difficult course but he made it so easy to understand with his spectacular ability to explain things well. If you hate math but need to take this class then take this professor, he is ALWAYS willing to help and answer any of your questions. Overall, I give my sincerest thanks :)

Prof Johnson is a good teacher, especially if math isn't your strong suit. I didn't use the textbook at all. One important thing to know is he basically doesn't give any partial credit, so if you mess up one part of an equation, you're kinda screwed. I took it as a summer class and we had a quiz every class pretty much. Overall, good prof.

The professor is really nice, and explains everything clearly. I just suggest to make sure to come to class on time to listen and take notes on full lecture because it is math and math is not something anybody can easily do. You can receive an A, but I messed up on one test and a quiz so I got a B. But overall, for me it was an easy class.

His quizzes and tests are all from the notes. He will not test on things he did not teach. He restored my faith in the education system. Other profs, take notes!

I am the absolute worst at math. However, being in Professor Johnson's class made everything finally make sense. He is a very caring teacher and understands that this is a very difficult time for students. hw and quiz due before each class but it's easy bc he provides resources, examples, recordings of each meeting.

Initially, I was worried about passing Prof. Johnson class but after genuinely listening to his lecture and participating in class etc. My worries slowly but surely disappeared. He provides extra credit/makeup assignments if you dont perform well on an exam. If you are looking for a math117 professor. I highly recommend him!

Very clear, and he provides lots of thoroughly worked examples for you to take notes of. He doesn't skip steps in his work or assume that you know things you don't. Very highly recommended.

Professor Johnson was the best! Yes we had homework every night but it wasn't hard. Math was not not my strong suite and coming into this class I was scared. I took him for MATH 150, a business calculus course. I was very nervous to take the quizes and exams and I thought that I was going to end up with a C or D. He held lectures from Monday to Thursday from 12-2 and his notes were all that you needed to complete the work. There was homework and a quiz everyday, and the exams are based on the quizes.

The class is extremely organized which makes it easy to follow. 2 hw assignments and 2 quizzes every week which are easy and don't take much time. The concepts are easy to understand, he provides notes, PowerPoints and examples. Straightforward class and easy A if your worried about a math class. His instructions are clear and he's easy to contact

I cant emphasis this enough but he has to be the best math teacher I ever took in my life. This man taught everything so well and throughly. He explains everything completly from step 0, even explains the no brainer material , stuff you should already know. If you ever have a question he's going to make sure he answeres it completly.

Professor Johnson is your teacher if you want to learn Trigonometry. Such a good teacher! Very clear lectures and expectations. We had quizzes and homework every class, which helped learn the material. Very patient and wants you to succeed.

Do the webassign for the homework and quizzes which will be similar to the ones in class. Exam reviews are generally the same as the exam with slight variations. The work done in class are what he lectures about, if you pay attention in class you won't have any issues on exams and homework.

You have an overwhelming amount of homework and quizzes, leaving you with very little time for anything else. Not only do you have a homework assignment and a take-home quiz to complete online after every class, but there is also a quiz scheduled before every class.

Mr. Johnson is VERY good at explaining Calculus II concepts. Homework is assigned everyday through WebAssign. I rarely had to study over 30 minutes a day. Except a quiz nearly every class related to the previous lecture. He learns everyone's names too.

He is amazingggg. I took his online class and it was a lot of work so you have to commit 3 hours+ for the homework's and studying for the quizzes each week. He uses Examity too. He's available outside of class to help. I don't regret taking him.
