I was dreading taking micro but I really enjoyed Kiser, as long as you go to class and lab there's no reason why you can't do real well in this class. He makes the material easy to understand and adds a little humor to make it interesting.

Yea thought he was hot, but also still an awesome teacher. Go to class, and ALWAYS go to lab, it will benefit and make a good difference in your grade. Loved his class, would take him again if I had any more sciences. Very helpful and knowledgable, willing to help gives ok tests and lots of extra credit so volunteer! Def. take him!!

Kiser is a great teacher. He is very intelligent and makes a difficult interesting. There are a lot of notes to take, however, he explains every detail and was never a boring teacher to listen to. He fits in well with the students and everyone I ever talked to seemed to enjoy his clases very much. I highly recommend him!

As long as you go to class and actually listen to what he is teaching, you'll do fine. He gives excelent study guides for the exams which are extremely helpful. The tests are directly from the study guide!

Test are directly from powerpoints/outlines he gives you, he also gives extra points on exams for reading articles. I did well in his class & I didn't even buy the book!

OK. Really great teacher with really interesting subject matter but he just talks so fast that you lose something in the translation. Labs were great and really FUN! Overall I would say that he is one of the best science teachers I have had...if he would only slow down a bit he would the very best!

Very good professor! He is very thoughtful and understanding but not a push over. Do not buy the book! Print the power point and you will do fine. This is my second class with him, I took A$P with him last semester, and I would take any science class with him in the future. He is crystal clear in his expectations.

Dr. Kiser is an excellent instructor. Most test info comes from powerpoints & notes taken in class. I used the textbook to clarify anything I didn't understand but studied mostly from my notes. He is friendly and approachable and works with students when they need help so long as you ask in advance. I found micro to be a very interesting class.

Dr. Kiser was an excellent teacher and very helpful at all times. He did very well with his lectures and made everything easy to understand and comprehend. The labs where also very fun and interesting. This was one of the best classes I have ever took at CFCC. Awesome Teacher.

Dr. Kiser throw's a lot of material at you, but is very clear in his expectations and grades very fairly. Labs are fun, much more than expected from a community college. Attend lecture, utilize the study guides he offers and you'll do fine.

Dr. Kiser is by far my favorite professor at any school I've attended. I would take any class he offered. He covers a lot of material but at the end of the semester, you will be surprised at how much you've learned. Very helpful, quick to respond to emails.

Dr. Kiser was indeed interested in helping all his students pass his class. He reinformed us of upcomibg tests, online quizes, n when n how assignments were due.

He is one of the best teahers I've ever had. He will help you however he can. He allowed me one day to work in the lab all by myself and he was there for questions. If you study what he talks about, you will pass with an A. It's a shame he's leaving to go to UNCW. CFCC is losing an awesome professor!

Very cool class. Kiser is an awesome guy and very easy to understand. Attending lecture and taking good notes are key to making an A. Tests are straight forward (no tricks)and easy if you at least study a little bit. Only grades are 3 tests and the final. He gives an additional optional final to replace a low grade if needed.

Dr. Kiser was one of the most helpful professors i have ever had at UNCW. The material is actually extremely interesting and I learned so much in his class that I actually use in everyday life. Make sure to go to the SI sessions because they are extremely helpful and Dr. Kiser helped bump up my grade because of my attendance at SI!

Although course material was difficult, there couldn't be a better professor to teach the material. His lectures are engaging and he makes the subject matter really interesting. There are alotttttt of terms to remember for tests, but if you study a little bit at a time, you'll do fine on it. Great professor, very clear, and so helpful.

He changed the way the class went so there was a separate multiple choice test, then a group test, and an essay exam all on different days for each test but in the end it helps out your grade because you can bomb a test and still make an A. Only studying I did was read over the articles before the essay exam.

Kiser is really great in lecture. Class attendance isn't mandatory but I assure you, you need to go. Microbiology is hard but he is very straightforward and tries to make the class enjoyable. Gives good notes and keeps lectures funny and interesting. The SI session for his class with Anna is super helpful as well. You use the textbook some, especially for the last exam so I would get that.

Dr. Kiser is amazing. He is super helpful and will clarify anything for you, even during tests. He wants his students to do well and all you have to do is reach out and ASK! You need to go to class since not much information is on the power points but class is enjoyable due to his teaching style. As an added bonus, ladies, he is quite handsome!

Dr. Kiser was a really good professor & he kept what could sometimes be boring information funny & entertaining. Though he only lectures with PPTs, he is engaging even to a huge auditorium of students. To get an A you need a 94 & the class is definitely challenging, but I enjoyed it overall & he really wants his students to succeed!

Kevin Kiser is the best professor I have ever had. I took him over summer and made 100s on most the exams, A's on all of them. Just pay attention in class and go over your notes every day and you'll make an A. His exams are all information from his power points and what he says in class - I didn't ever use the book. Take Kevin Kiser people!

Kiser is an amazing professor. His lectures are clear and his exams are very fair You have to put in a lot of work to get an A but all of the information he presents is on the exam, no surprised. The questions are conceptual but not too difficult. He's a great lecturer and is very informative.

Awesome professor. Awesome lectures. The class in itself (microbiology) is very interesting because it applies to your daily life, microbes are everywhere. Tests are very clear and concise, it is not hard to do well on them as long as you put in the necessary effort. Would recommend.

Exams are basically the only grades but they were really fair. They were difficult but he gives you everything you should know in his powerpoints. Definitely take the practice exams and do the supplemental readings before the tests!! Kiser was a chill dude and I learned a lot from his class that helped me with other classes. Also go to class.

If you know what Top Hat is, get ready to use it during lectures and for homework. Dr. Kiser is a great lecturer. He is funny and keeps you engaged. There is a lot of homework but it is all helpful. The tests always have a few extra credit questions and you get a chance to replace one of your grades with an optional final.

Mr. Kiser has been one of the best professors that I have ever had at UNCW, he explains the material very clearly and made learning fun. He makes everything as simple as possible, and I look forward to going to class. He makes learning fun, and he is a true example of what a good professor should be like.

Dr. Kiser is incredible. The true epitome of what a professor should be. Micro of Human Diseases is super interesting and enjoyable. He breaks down the material in an understandable manner. The tests also aren't too bad if you study! He also uses TopHat for class participation & homework - and for tests if you want to take them online!

Kevin Kiser is a fantastic teacher. He is very passionate about the material and wants to teach others the same thing. He makes the material easy to understand and interesting by relating it to real world problems. If I could have him for my professor for every class i would. You have to work on tophat though thats the only grade other than tests.

Kiser is so funny and his class was never boring. Tests are identical practice tests, just find a good Quizlet and you'll do fine. Frequent hw but very easy and participation questions every lecture.

The course itself is difficult (was taking fall 2018 aka hurricane Florence season). The lectures were great and he explained everything well. The course itself is manageable with time management and determination

Dr. Kiser is awesome! This class was time-consuming (because of hurricane Florence) but if you put in the work and study it isn't too hard to get an A. The Tophat homework is very helpful to study for the exams, and all of the questions on the exams are things that we went over in class he doesn't try to trick you. Take him if you have the chance!

Kiser is easily one of the best professors UNCW has to offer. He uses TopHat for homework and in class questions. Attendance isn't mandatory but the in class questions are participation only and do help you in the end. He is passionate, hilarious and really makes the material interesting and fun! I would certainly take him again!

I loved professor Kiser. The tophat can REALLY boost your grade so make sure you go to class and do your best on the homework! He gives fair tests that aren't extremely difficult but require some effort studying. You don't have to buy a textbook. Make sure you review your old tophat for the final exam but don't ONLY review that. Take him!

Dr. Kiser is really awesome. He's super nice and does a really good job of keeping the class engaging. It's a pretty tough class but if you work hard and utilize his office hours you should be able to do well. Attendance isn't technically mandatory but he does tophat participation questions daily.

Dr. Kiser is one of my most favorite professors. I took BIO 320 online over the summer. His efforts to help students understand the material and apply it beyond the classroom made the class easy to dive into. I appreciated the graded Top Hat homework instead of just test grades. The test material was exactly what he taught in class. Participate!

Easily one of the best teachers Ive had. He lectured well and would review periodically while lecturing. Its a lot of material but if you prepare before the lectures and come with notes done, youll do fine. His lecture notes are clear and he puts all of them on his canvas page.

Dr. Kiser is an amazing professor. He is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to about problems regarding the course materials. He truly wants you to do well, so if you follow his suggested study exercises, you will succeed. The material is hard, but not impossible. Personally, I really enjoyed his class. Dr. Kiser is an AMAZING professor. This course is very difficult (for me anyway) but he explain it well. He is very strict on how he grades things so it's either 100% right or no credit at all. I enjoyed having him but it is a very rigorous course.

Honestly one of the best biology professors. Knowledgeable, but humble and wants to actually teach you and involve you in the lecture. Most work was through TopHat, and attendance was not mandatory, so you could answer the lecture questions/review slides at home. Although, when you do attend lecture it was always easy-going and highly informative.

The best biology professor I've had hands down. Super organized, tells you what to expect right out of the gate, and his tests/assignments are super fair. He teaches you the concepts as if it is a story on top of being concise, and he records all lectures (excellent to listen back to in the car might I add). He's awesome, protect this man.

Kiser was an awesome professor and told some type of story with the information each lecture which made it easier to learn. Attendance isn't required but he makes it easier to learn the information if you consistently go because the information grows on itself/repeats.

Dr. Kiser is an incredible professor! Though microbiology is a difficult class, he made it fun and interesting. The tests were difficult but straightforward. He uses word associations in his tests, so look at his discussion boards, go to SI, or email him. He seems scary but is very kind and understanding. Take him if you can!

Even when the material from the supplemental readings and textbook (optional) are hard to follow, the in-class lectures are extremely important and easy to decipher, due to Dr. Kiser's teaching strategies and word usage.

Mr. Kiser was an amazing teacher! He makes lecture super interesting and you can tell he really cares about his students. With that being said his tests were harder than I expected and there were at least 5 questions on every test that were pretty knit picky. However, he was a great teacher and I would recommend him to anyone.

Such an incredible professor. He is super passionate about what he teaches and it shows. His exams are very doable except for his final which was incredibly difficult. Out of class work was very manageable with studying and other classes.

Dr. Kiser is amazing! He took difficult concepts and broke them into simple ways of explanation and not to mention in a hilarious manner. This class is hard and the final was pretty difficult. You definitely have to put the work in, but when you see the hard work reciprocated through your grades it is a good feeling. He is very accessible also
