I took a 1 credit, Honors reading course with him. He barely gave any work and was an extremely easy grader. The class was like a book club really - we'd read a chapter then discuss it. He is really interesting, funny, nice, and attractive.

A really nice, interesting guy. Really laid back and flexible about turning in papers. He creates some good discussions and it generally just a really cool guy. His 1 credit honors classes are really nice ways to spend an hour, and you get to read good books.

He is very helpful and laid back. He will do any example problems and go over material over and over again til it is understood. his tests aren't too hard you just have to study. there is no mandatory homework which is nice. We got to know him too. he told us stories about when he met his wife. he is very funny which makes class more interesting.

Outstanding professor. Clear, organized, humorous, and doesn't try to trick students on tests. He proved practically everything in class, which made this way better than normal Calc II. Oh yeah, and Krispy Kreme donuts on the day of the final. It's a travesty that the math department won't offer the honors sequence anymore. Take him for anything!

This professor is awesome. His lectures keep you focused by being interesting and funny. Really outstanding! Going to try to find more classes he teaches!

Dr. Knudson is great, one of my favorite professors. Very clear, knows what he's doing, is always willing to answer questions and help, and he makes his class enjoyable by giving us all a laugh every now and then. I went to his office hours once and he was very helpful. I definitely think he's one of the best calculus professors at UF!!

Hard class, but that's just how it is at UF. Always real, pretty funny, and explains math really well. By the way, don't listen to that girl under me. She sits near me in class and never stops complaining about how much she wants to punch him. Also quite funny because all she does is look at underwear on a shopping website during class

Great Calculus teacher! But even if you took Calculus before you will need to study a lot before the test and do all the homework, both online and from the book, in order to pass the class. Do as much practice problems before the exam and ask for help if you need it. Do not wait until the last test/exam to start studying.

Calc 1 at UF is not the same after Knudson started teaching calc 1. His input to the tests has made them significantly harder than previous semesters. I've taken both Calc AB and BC and received 5s on both. I thought the test were hard. On the upside, however, there are 6 extra credit points per test and there is a lenient drop policy. Study hard!

Absolutely loved having Dr. Knudson as a calculus professor!! I took calculus in high school and this class was a bit challenging for me at times. As long as you go to class and actually do the homework you'll be fine! Do not wait till last minute to study for exams. Old exams and reviews from the teaching center were very useful!

His class was interesting to be in. I enjoyed going to his Calc class. He is also pretty lenient in grading.

Professor K is a pretty funny guy and most of the classmates that I talked to said that they liked him. The course is definitely not easy, as it should for Calc 2. He brought us donuts while wearing a Krispy Kreme hat on Donut Day so I thought that was pretty cool.

LOVE HIM!!! Such a good professor, cares about his students, and wants everyone to succeed. Take him and you won't regret it. Really nice and cool guy and funny.

With Prof. Knudson as your instructor, getting an A does not seem hard. The points are well divided and lots of Extra Credit.

Do well on the exams and you'll get an A. Key to getting an A on the exam, use study edge!

Best professor I have ever had!

Dr. Knudson is a great guy in general. You can tell he has a lot of passion for math. He kind of talks fast and he teaches expecting you to have prior knowledge to what he's teaching, so be prepared. There is a little amount of homework but do more practice questions on your own because tests are very different from homework!

Loved the professor both as a person and as a teacher. His philosophy is that homework should not be punitive, as such he makes the homework as digestible for the students and his lectures, if you have done the pre-lecture work, are easy to understand. Unlike other professors who merely repeat recorded material he adds value to his lectures.

Knudson was a great professor. I took calc AB in high school and failed the exam, but coming into UF and having him was great and I learned everything I needed to. He gives extra credit on his tests which is great as well. I was balancing a few other tough classes and managed to get an A here. Totally recommend this guy.

Knudson is a great professor, but his lecture videos could be long and very confusing. I used Study Edge to learn all the material in 1/4 of the time and pass his lecture quizzes. This class became significantly easier to keep up with after using Study Edge and it saved my grade, so I would definitely recommend it!

I knew I'd love Knudson when he played Total Eclipse of the Heart on the first day of class, which was the day of the solar eclipse. He's a great professor, and there were lots of opportunities for extra credit. I really enjoyed his lectures. Althoug, MAC2311 is a popular class at UF so the class size was ridiculously large.

Dr. Knudson is a really great professor to take if you are a Mathematics major, his excitement and interest in complex variables makes the class interested in actually learning. The only thing that sucks is in order to get an A you need a 93 and he doesn't give minus grades ( which could be good or bad depending on your views).

Get peoples snaps for a group chat, dont let the lectures pile up try to do them early and go to office hours. Do all these things and you should be fine

I dont know why Professor Knutson has bad reviews. His lectures are short and sometimes you have to go outside for help, but generally the topics are easy to get. The practice exam is exactly like the real exam, so youll pass everyone if you know how to do the practice. He had some technical difficulties, but in response he gave a lot of free As

Unbiased Review: I took MAC2234 my 1st semester after taking AP Calc AB in high school. If you did fine in AP calc, you should be more than fine. The 1st lectures are basically reviews of AP Calc. His lectures are concise so that you do not spend hours on them. He answers emails almost immediately at any hour. He is very understanding & reasonable

Although Professor Knudson's lectures can be pretty dry and a little difficult to understand at times ( I ended up using Study Edge instead) you can tell he tries his best to help his students and wants them to succeed. My best advice would be to do the his exam reviews as they are VERY SIMILAR to the actual exams.

A super easy calc class. Watch his lectures and do the lecture quizzes and weekly quiz and homework. He drops so many things, so as long as you do good on most, you will do absolutely fine. Exams are easy as long as you do the study guide. Easy A

Unbiased review part 2: Gave him a 5 now so that both reviews 4.5 Watch all the lectures and do the hw and you'll be fine. He is very understanding. Ex: I rounded down on a question because it was unclear on the quiz, sent him an email and he immediately gave me credit admitting the instructions were unclear. Read previous review for more info.

Dr. Knudson was my favorite professor at UF so far. He's great at teaching and super fair when it comes to the exams - doesn't make u study unnecessary material. Also very generous with dropping HWs, Quizzes, Tests. In this class there's no bs, you put in some work and you'll get a good grade. 10/10

He was not the best lecturer, but he was a very fair professor. The course structure is ideal and he sets you up to succeed if you put effort into the class. He is the one math professor at UF that I would be comfortable taking again.

Lots of work but that's expected with calculus. All recorded lectures and some were very long but you have to watch them in order to understand how to do the work. He makes it easy and drops lots of quizzes and 1 exam.

Took survey of calc 2. He posts exams reviews before the exams which literally are just the exams with different numbers. Struggled for a B in survey of calc 2 and an easy A in his class. He also drops a ton of assignments and is just an understanding and cool guy who moves back assignments if a lot of the class has another exam.

Though his teaching style wasnt my favorite as he states rather than explains the concepts, he is very fair when it comes to grades. His practice exams are so similar to his actual exams which I wish professors did. I didnt need study edge but I did have to watch YouTube videos and teach myself some things. Very fair and nice teacher though.

Dr. Knudson was a great teacher! Assignments for his class were due every Sunday night and he was very generous in giving extensions if it was exam season. If you just watch his lectures, take notes, and do all of the assignments, this class is an easy A.

The class had A LOT of lectures and homework.The assignments were due on Sunday of every week.He drops one exam, which was great cause I absolutely failed the 2nd one.This math class was pretty difficult.Each exam 2, 3, & 4 have 8, 6, & 4 questions, respectively.Also make sure you understand the lecture examples so you grasp each concept.

His lectures can be confusing, I would highly recommend StudyEdge. The exams are identical to the exam reviews only different numbers. Definitely a time consuming class, but he allows you to retake quizzes and drops a lot of grades so I ended up with a 99.8%. I would recommend taking this professor if you need survey of calc 2.

Professor Knudson is an absolutely amazing professor! Calc 2 isn't an easy class but he works through lots of examples which really helps. The exams are so fair; they're the exact same as the practice exam just with different numbers. He drops some quizzes and one exam, so you'll have no issue in this class, as long as you take it with Knudson!!

If you are good at math, this course can be a guaranteed 4.0 A if done correctly. His teaching can be a hit or miss depending on the lesson and your understanding of the concept. If you are bad at math, god help you. LOTS of work like quizzes and HW but it cements understanding. Tests are pretty easy, just study and do practices.

Technically, I had this course under another professor, but the lectures (and I think most of the framework) were done by Knudson. I really liked how he would sometimes make dorky jokes, it shows how passionate he is about the subject and how he manages to just keep it lighthearted. The HW and quizzes really helped cement everything, too.

Dr. K is great. He really understands the concepts and tries to give relevant examples to improve our learning. MAC2234 is very well laid out. The only frustrating thing can be Xronos. It also can be challenging at times, but Dr. K is very gracious with grading (i.e.- dropping low scores), so as long as you do the work, you should be fine.

Overall Knudson's class was a great experience. He was very thorough in the lectures, beware that everything is online though.

Very well-laid out class, I recommend him if you need credit for MAC2234. The exams are just like the practice exams so do those and you will get a good grade in the class. Lectures are straight-forward and explain what you need for the homework and quizzes. StudyEdge is helpful but honestly just doing the practice exams will get you a good grade.

Not really a hard class, exams are very similar to practice exams. You could very easily get an A in the class with a bit of effort. I had study edge and that helped a lot I thought is was better then his lectures.

Super manageable class and easy to get an A. Few short lecture videos, quizzes, and one homework assignment every week. It was not very time consuming. Content can be tough, so I used study edge for it which I liked better than his lectures. He drops your lowest quizzes, homeworks, and one exam grade, which is good because exam 2 is rough.

He dropped the lowest exam and the lowest 3 quizzes, which is very helpful. He goes very in-depth in his lectures, so study edge is very helpful for learning the concepts and for extra practice.

LOVE HIM. TBH, I didn't put in any effort into this class (didn't watch lectures, barely understood any of the content, no studyedge), but I did just the exam reviews and scored enough to pass. I was supposed to end with a B+, but he added a bonus quiz, reopened the HW, and rounded our grade, so I ended with an A. Super easy and caring professor.

Super nice guy and extremely accommodating. I wish UF had more professors like him. I'm not a math guy, but comfortably got through this class. Practice exams are basically the real exams with different numbers. Would highly recommend office hours as he's a super chill guy and will go out of his way to help you out. He's also super funny!

I thought the content was very straightforward. I only watched his lecture videos, not the "additional problems" lectures and I did very well. He is very refreshing after the hell of Calc 1 with Williamson. Also, I like his name. It is funny.
