he is a great teacher. it is still an anatomy class and you have to study to get the grade.
Excellent instructor. Teaches in a way that helps you grasp the concept. Lectures are informative and helpful. A lot of memorization in this class. Look on his website to figure out his test question style. Easy "A" if you study for it!
Great anatomy class! The course is hard and you have to study a lot to get an A, but he makes the class interesting. He covers the material to be tested, and is pretty funny..I recomend taking him.
Great teacher, Very funny and very helpful.
easy class, hard for some. he makes anatomy SO simple. best teacher you could take. very considerate of students grades. lab time is up to you, if you want to stay go for it, if not leave. hes probably the easiest teacher for the class AND you will learn alot and remember it. TAKE KROWN!
for finals week had three test for this class a day apart!!!. 1.five chp lecture exam. 2. three chp lab exam. 3. all 27 chps for final "no study guide and not narrowed down you have to study the whole book"(can u say nightmare)!
Awesome professor, he explains things on your level to where you can understand it. The last week was hectic, but he offered to give the class all the previous tests to study from, that helped a lot beacuse they were all the same questions. I would recommend Krown over Brothers!!!!!!!
Professor Krown is the best. He is so genuine and caring. He truly cares about his students grades. His test are not hard and lab is very fair. You dont have to stay for lab its your choice. Study the website for that lab it helps a lot. Try to keep your grade up so you dont have to take the final at the end of the semester. He's awesome take him!
Krown over any other anatomy professor hands down. No essay questions on test just multiple choice. Dont really need the book but it will help you understand the material better. He curves test and grades. On top of all that he is an angel. He is an honest, respectable human being. You would really be missing out if you dont take him.
Dr. Krown is a great, caring professor who loves what he teaches(hard to find now days). He is very clear and organized during lecture. The test are somewhat easy, although there are some tricky questions. Just make sure you show up to lecture and take great notes. Labs are easy, but of course you have to put in the time to memorize everything.
he's a all around great guy! he is very nice and very funny and he is the best. I hope that anyone that can get his class will go for it because their is no better professor for this out there!! also do not take his class if he has brothers teaching the lecture because brothers will have all control TRUST ME U DON'T ANY PART OF BILL BROTHERS CLASS!
He is the best teacher I have eer had! Really cares about his students and is genuinely interested in the material. Lectrues are very organized and if you study and put the time in..you will do well. His tests are fair adn are not meant to trick you. Tests are based on lecture so make sure you go!
the best professor of BIO period!!! he is so nice and he really knows his stuff! By all means if u can get his class take it he is the best! also if u talk about babies he will tell u about his cute little baby boy, his eyes get this wonderful twinkle to them when he does!! TAKE THIS GUY AND AVOID BROTHERS AT ALL COST!!!!Pro krown is the best!!
How are his lecture test like?? Do we study the BOOK or only his notes from his class???? His lab exams seem somewhat easy. Just study!!! Wish his study guide were more detailed and not brief.
4.0 student - OK, I took this class because of all the reviews that said how awesome and easy he is. While I agree that he is helpful and nice, He is HARD. I dont know about anatomy, but PHYS is rough. He offers NO extra credit, and only grades on 4 tests whuch are HARD. Yes he has study guides, but in PHYS it does not cover everything. Honest
Well I AM a 4.0 Student and I AM NOT false. I said he was cool and helpfull, but anyone professing to say his phys class is easy is nuts. This is the first semester he is teaching it, so noone knows. I am IN the phys class, and I am telling you his test had lots of things that were not in the study guide. A 4.5 easiness factor? NO friggin WAY
He maybe hot, but he cant teach at all! his lectures are boring and the tests are extremely hard! weekly quizzes that are graded harshly and are worth a lot of your grade! Dont take him! BEWARE!!!
To sum it up in a nutshell, Krowns class is HARD. Studied all the time but there is just so much material you need to know. If you could pick another prof. go for it. Exams are a killer and lectures are boring. No studyguide or review
Krown means well, but he is SO HARD. Tests are based on his exhaustive lectures. The questions are VERY difficult. Studied a TON, still did avg. Not to mention his study guide is simply a copy of chapter objectives from the book, which he doesn't teach from. NOT COOL. Also No Ex-Credit. If you are a serious BIO maj. maybe, If not. . please don't
disregard the below rating they are full of it.He is the best, better than Brothers! The only thing I didn't like was that he sometimes finished chapter lectures a lecture before test day.But thats life u just got to study good & go to his office hrs if needed. I took both 230&235with him last semester. I highly recomend him!Beter n evry way, clear
Nice guy. You can tell he hasn't been teaching very long. I usually get A's in everything and I barely got a "B" in his class. Exams are very hard, check the answers after they're graded for errors (we found several last semester). Cool part is notes are available online. Lab is a joke (easy) but it helps bring up your grade in lecture. Study HARD!
Lectures are straightforward, clear, and well organized. Tests are straight from lecture material; you don't need the textbook. There's nothing tricky or misleading. Optional final - it can replace a poor exam grade if you want it to. Lab is an easy opportunity for points. If you study, you won't have a problem.
This is not an easy class- but heck, we're not in school for an easy ride. His tests are very straight-forward and directly from his lecture. Lab is a little boring- be prepared to memorize a TON of information. He's very helpful. I would definitely recommend him.
Great teacher! Willing to help and answer questions. Tests are not tricky and are right out of lecture. You really have to put in alot of study time to understand all the concepts. Very awesome teacher, if you can take him you should... great all around.
Such a great teacher & a very nice man. Reminds me of my father. Lectures are all online along with study guides that are very helpful. Tests are very straight forward as long as you study lecture notes. I really enjoyed his teaching & I wish more teachers were like him!
Great teacher! Willing to help and answer questions. Tests are not tricky and are right out of lecture. You really have to put in alot of study time to understand all the concepts. Very awesome teacher, if you can take him you should... great all around
absolutely a wonderful teacher. The only bad thing is that there is no extra credit. It is a difficult class, and major study hours are needed to get a good grade. Krown will help you with anything you need along the way, very easy to work with and an all around wonderful teacher. I recommend him to everyone! Good luck!
Great class. Dr. Krown uses Power Point presentations at each lecture and you can get those from WebCT. You can just print them and there will be no need to make notes. Study the slides and you're good for the exams. I used the book too a little.
I had Dr. Krown twice, for physio and anatomy. I loved his lectures, mostly because they're very interesting. He does not offer extra credit but goes out of his way to help his students. He is the best biology professor at mesa. If you take his class, you will learn a whole lot and you will have a good time.
Dr.Krown is a good teacher but he does take awhile to get test back to you because he is very busy and sometimes he isnt very clear but all in all he is a great guy and I would recommend him.
Great teacher. I definitely recommend him. I loved that you could print out the powerpoints slide before class so you can take notes on them and pay attention. He is really clear and easy to talk to.
Krown is a really nice guy but very disorganized. If you are a person who wants their test back on time forget about it. You will probably get it in a month. His lectures were organized but i hated his power points. Its easy to print them out but so boring to listen to all the information that is right in front of your face. Test were all right
Dr.Krown is a wonderful teacher who cares equally about his students and the subject he teaches. You can download his power point shows and model images, study them, and you are good to go- there is a lot of material to learn, but there are no uncertainties about what you need to know.
Look up Teacher in dictionary and his name should be there. LOVE his class. Answered all ?s and explained it in several different ways. Tests are'nt easy but if you study hard then should be fine.
Best piece of advice: GO TO CLASS!! You cannot pass this class without attending. There is soo much material to be covered in Anatomy, but Dr. K does an excellent job, he shows genuine interest in what he is teaching and is always there to help. This is not an easy class and you do have to work hard, but if you need to take it take it with KROWN!
Awesome teacher! Could not give a higher recommendation. Krown is a great professor. He is always there to help you, and you will need it. Anatomy is hard but if you study his lecture notes you will be fine, also you don't need the book. All his slides are online and his tests are based on them.
Every test question in printable power point. Lab easy. Study hard, ALOT of info but you can score an A or B,it's all up to you to study the slides. 3 optional EC papers. He was a very likeable physio professor.
Don't buy the book, I only opened it once. All of his tests are based off his power point presentations. Make sure you go to class or it's easy to fall behind. If you need help, just ask. He is friendly and will take the time to explain things to you one on one. Highly recommended.
Great teacher! Smart, knows a lot about the subject matter, and is always up to date with current info/discoveries. Print PP presentations b4 class, then show & pay attention. Labs are EASY, no lab quizez/tests. Exams are representative of Lecture notes. He is always willing to help u succeed, answer q-ns. Hard class, but u can get an A if u study!
Great teacher! Can't say enough about him. Down to earth and genuinely interested in what he does. Wants students to be successful. Go to class, and study and you will do great!
Best Science Teacher Ever! I am a Bio Major, Its as good as it will ever get. Trust me. Im in grad school now! Wish he was a grad school teacher. Show up to lecture, take good notes, study ur notes, you will do great. Dr. Krown rocks!
Great Guy, Very clear about what he wants you to know, gives all lectures on Power point, 40pts EC, 4 exams. Newsome for Lab TA is a bit though though.
Tests are straight out of the lectures and as long as you pick up what hes putting down you will get an A. Very helpful also.
He enjoys teaching his class. He'll help you in any way he can. He loves questions. You have to study in order to pass. Everything is memorizations.
He's the BEST!!! offers easy extra credit, great lecturer, and tests are fair. Slides are up on the internet and he's always willing to help and answer questions. Show up to class and look at the slides. The class isnt easy but at least he makes it interesting.
Dr. Krown is the NICEST teacher you can ever get. Very helpful, understanding, and just all around great teacher. His syllabus says no graded curves or extra credit, but ended up grading on a HUGE curve and gave plenty of EC points. Sciences are not easy...you DO have to study!
This is my second time taking Dr. Krown. He's a great Teacher! I would recommend taking his class. It's not easy, but he makes the concepts easy to understand. Print out his powerpoints and take your notes on them. He's very helpful and will take time out to explain things to you. Make use of his office hours, he's very accommodating.
Dr. Krown is an excellent anatomy teacher! Very fair grading system, curves and offer extra credit. Any college level human anatomy textbook is OK w/him. Stock up on printer ink, printing his PP's is a MUST for his class but you won't be sorry. Has no prob ask & answering questions of stuff covered. Very friendly to students.
Best teacher at Mesa. Extremely patient and helpful. Knows his stuff front and back. Considering Anatomy is such a complex and large subject, he really knows how to make everything fit. HIGHLY recommend him
Dr. Krown is the BEST professor for Human Anatomy! Took his class in the summer and worked very hard, but it's worth it. He's very helpful, explained everything and made the subject less difficult. Highly recommend him. My advice: study his notes well and do not miss any lecture. Good luck!
Dr. Krown is the best teacher in EVER! Physiology and Anatomy are incredibly hard classes, but he makes them as easy as humanly possible. To get an A, you must make flash cards of every single Powerpoint slide or you will fail miserably. Dr. Krown will explain anything over and over until you understand it. He's patient even with the biggest idiots
Don't email him, he will never get back to you. He is way behind, unorganized and boring. He is very repetitive in a bad way. He repeats himself in 12 different ways and often confuses himself. I have an A in the class but not becuase of him. His tests are tricky and very SPECIFIC. No general questions, you need to know EVERYTHING from his slides.
The hardest part of Physiology is that there is soooo much information to sift through and learn. Dr. Krown does a great job explaining things with plenty of visual aids. Print out his slides and take your notes on them. He is enthusiastic about science and compassionate towards students. He will is always willing to help his students.
Genuinely one of the best teachers I've ever had. Taking him for Anatomy too. One of the nicest, most patient professors you'll take. Print and study slides and you're set. Gives extra credit. EASY labs give your grade a buffer. Lecture- 40 m/c and 5 short answers which he gives you for every test. Please TAKE HIM! Easy A!
Because of this class... I feel as if my world is over. It is so hard. I study all day everyday too.
i dont get what people are saying. i took this class with him in the summer and got no extra credit NONE and no curve. well 88% is an A but that is not a curve. i had a different guy for lab tho, and HE gave extra credit. but Krown never gave extra credit. beware of the other posts. they are not true. he was not easy.
Dr. Krown is THE BEST teacher for anatomy ever. The first day, he was so nice that everyone loved him and still does. tests are 80% multiple choice, 20% short answer - easy if you study. print out his slides or take good notes, & you're good. Lab is tough-but he's fair and not tricky. Always willing to explain if u have questions. Fabulous teacher!
Plan to half-ass school? Go ahead and mind the last 2 posts. Anatomy is a tough subject to get through in one semester--Krown gets it done, but he demands that you keep up with him. Considering that most ppl taking this class seek the health field, it shouldnt shock us that an A is not easily attained. Work hard or cry about it. Great prof.
Entertaining. But so is a movie. Everyone taking this class is for nursing or med school and we need As and fair questions to get them. I get them in other classes. He asks trick questions to force Cs not As. Did not bother with extra credit because he offers it for appearance but the points are so low that it makes no grade difference
Like all Bio classes, you have to work for your grade so don't listen to the negative comments. Dr. Krown is an amazing professor who cares about his students. His tests are based on his ppts. Yea you have to know everything on the ppts, but that beats studying the expensive textbook. He doesn't even make you buy the book! Tell me that is not nice.
He only reason I passed this course was because of lab with miss Jenna. I would suggest taking a different teacher for lecture because the wAy he writes his test qs is confusing. I felt like why I even read the book or go over his ppts. Ughhh...stress! Take another teacher. I mean c'mon I passed Microbiology with an A n ppl say that class was hard!
Greatest Professor Ever. Don't even read the negative posts about him, I've taken many classes in my life and this is one of the easiest and nicest professors in all my entire academic career. His tests are super easy and clear, he gives extra credit and an awesome and sweet guy to talk to. Very helpful and genuinely cares about his students.
Krown is an excellent professor. Very helpful & patient. Not studying is not an option. You better know everything on his power points. Everything! Physiology itself is a tough topic; he makes it digestible. He knows his stuff and is cool to talk to. Thankfully he's not one of those mean prof. who hate their lives & are out to get their students.
He asks very tricky questions on his exams. Beware. Very tough class. Tougher proF!!
Anatomy is very hard. It will take up most of your time, so I suggest that if you are taking more science classes, take this class with someone else or another Sem.
Really cool guy. Really helpful. Gives extra credit.
Great guy, knows a lot on the topic. Know the lecture slides & don't skip class. He's very relaxed & tries to help all of his students. Sometimes hard to decode what is most important b/c he gives you so much info. Highly reccomended!
Anatomy overall is not easy because it is A LOT of information to know in this class, but he does try to make it understandable. Attend all his classes and recording the lectures really help. All of his lectures are on power points and that's what the exams are based off of, so if you study the power points you'll do fine.
no study guides dont let that scare you off his slides or his study guide, does give you one for lab 6 lab test 5 lectures its not a lot i did not did not read book i got 88% he does tend to include physio questions esp with the repro. great teach i am taking him for physio in spring. he did give 20 pts extra credit. nice guy.
Professor Krown knows a lot about biology and makes the lectures very clear and interesting. If you really want to learn, I highly recommend him. There are 4 lectures test (multiple choice)100 points each. You can get also 20 extra credits.Another good thing:attendance is not mandatory, but if you want get an A you should go. Good Luck!
Tests are multiple choice with some short answer. Lab tests are all fill in the blank. The first lab test is the easiest, yes, so get studying. I liked his class because there is no fluff. If it is important you memorize it. tests and that's it. One extra credit assignment at the end that is a lot of work and only worth it is you are on the cusp.
Took anatomy, physio with him. He has PPT and lets students recorde his lectures. If u take the time to study u will get an A. 5 exam for physio not very difficult cardiovascular was the toughest. No drop exam, no study guide, I know sounds scary but he wont overwhelm you. Extra credit at end
Professor Krown is a fair and clear professor. His lectures are a bit dry, but they provide everything needed to ace his tests. There is no homework or quizzes, just four tests throughout the whole semester.
This class is not easy, but it is manageable, considering it is an anatomy class. Lectures are all on powerpoint, so not really vital to go. Lab however is where you're hands on with the models. The Brothers Atlas is your bible. You can survive with that and the blue handbook. Review the material little by little each day and you'll do great.
Professor Krown is a very cool dude. He is also very helpful and will work with you on confusing subjects. Don't waste your time buying/ renting the textbook. No homework or quizzes just 4 exams that come straight out of his lectures. Test questions are a little tricky, just record lectures aHe also gives 2 extra credit assignments.
first off, he's a great professor. he enjoys teaching and is always willing to put in the extra effort to help answer students. he's patient and he'll find the answer if he doesn't know. record his lectures and ask questions and for sure you'll do fine. btw, the book isn't a need. I took it without the book. had notes and google and I did fine.
Very good professor!! He knows a lot and he will let you know new advances in medicine, especially related to treatment of diseases. There are 5 exams ( 40 multiple choice and 5 short questions), extra credit at the end of semester (+10 points).
Very knowledgeable teacher. Welcomes questions. One thing I liked about him was that he actually answered the question; he didn't give roundabout answers and give an unrelated answer. You have to be on your study game, didn't need a textbook. Some answers on the exams are given ONLY during lecture, so be there, or have a friend take notes.
You can manage without the book, but not without the Atlas for lab. All lectures are on ppt, but studying them without having been to lectures isn't helpful. Not an easy class, but if you put in the time you will leave with an A. 6 Lab tests (50 pts each) 5 lecture tests (100 pts each). Extremely slow to get grades back, teaches many classes.
Great professor. Pretty cut and dry there are 5 exams total with short answer portion, 5 lab quizzes and 15 labs. Exams are tough but if you study well you can get an A. I would highly recommend reading the chapters to supplement lecture because the PPs. The class requires a lot of study time but if you put in the time, you will get an A.
He's a helpful and nice guy. Although you got to sort through his long powerpoints to figure out exactly whats on the test, unless you learn every single detail for the exam. He even adds random facts that won't be on the test onto the powerpoints.
Loved him! Very sweet guy. He's very clear in his power points! Also only study his power points. His tests are pretty straight forward, study study! He is really good at helping you especially in lab.
Dr. K is a great teacher! I took him for anatomy & physio. He is passionate & very knowledgable about the material that he teaches. He makes the material very relatable & stays current on new developments. He treats his students with respect & is very accessible. I highly recommend him to anyone needing to take anatomy or physio.
Prof Krown knows his biology. You need to pay attention, take notes, and ask questions. I'd find a small group 4 - 6 people, that REALLY strive to do their best, and become study partners. Use the LRC, 4th floor, to study different parts of the body. His tests are not for the weak of brain. LEARN!
Do not take this class is you have other classes and/or working. I spent HOURS studying for his exams, probably over 17 hours per test and would fail or barely pass. The average grade for the first test was a 60 something percent. I had 3 other classes & worked full time. Hes soo sweet and tries to help, but its tough! Good luck.
I took Professor Krown for anatomy; Over all he is a good professor. He is excited to teach the material and helpful during lab. There are 6 lab exams, 5 lecture exams; if you study his powerpoints you will do good on lecture exams, if you study the lab you will do good. Anatomy is overwhelming, i would highly suggest not to take any hard classes.
he the best in the world
He's a great guy-very intelligent, respectful, kind... moves REALLY fast and tests you on so much that your brain doesnt have the capacity to remember anything else!I put in 50 hrs of study time & hired a tutor and got a 68 on my exam. I have A's in all of my other courses including chemistry but this ones themost challenging teacher I've ever had!
I had Dr. Krown for physiology and absolutely loved him! By far the best professor in biology department. Heavy lectures & in depth exams but he explains well, have power points ahead of time, take notes during, & record every lecture. You have to put in the effort! Gives extra credit. No reason not to pass the class. Wish I could take him again!:)
I had Dr. Krown when I took my Bi0 230 last fall. Anatomy is very difficult, but if you have a professor like Dr. Krown who explains the material really well to the level that the students can understand you will not go wrong. He is a great teacher who is very kind, respectful, and considerate. I've learned a lot about Anatomy because of him.
Good Professor; tests are from his power points; test reviews given in class a few days b4 exam; offers a lot of extra credit; class outline: 5 lecture tests, 5 lab quizzes, lots of lap reports; fairly easy grader on labs. A solid choice for anatomy or physiology.
Exams based solely on lecture slides. (I didn't used the textbook once.) Many opportunities for extra credit. Study the lecture slides! Even if he specifically says something won't be on the test, it might. He uses previously written tests and sometimes doesn't remember exactly what is or isn't on them.
His lectures are clear and helpful. One of the best professors I have ever had.
If you are a weekend COUCHPOTATOE, you won't feel ok with his exams. He is extremely respected, caring, humble, educated, informative, good, nice, kind professor ever. I wish I could have his classes for ever and ever. Show up and put your effort, you will get A. I'm taking his physiology and anatomy, very interesting classes. He makes them super easy
All points come from exams. 5 Lecture and 5-6 Lab exams. Lecture exams are straight from lecture powerpoint slides, Lab is pure memorization. Buy the yellow anatomy photo atlas GREAT 4 STUDYING. Has practice exams for lab and has review for exams lecture before test. Extra credit up to 40 pts (USE IT ALL). You put in the work, you get a good grade.
Great guy, gave lots of extra credit. Grades based on mostly chunked lecture exams and weekly lab reports with lab quizzes every few weeks
Put time aside to study and it shouldn't be too difficult. Always available during lab to help.
He is the best but exams are hard. Everyday you MUST study to get a good grade in this class. If you are a cheater, no worries because you can ask your friend give you all the previous tests and quizzes like few students. To get an A in this class, you have two choices: be a hard working student or be a smart cheater.
The amount of extra credit he offers is amazing! He is such a sweet guy. Very passionate about his job. Class is easy if you put in the effort. I made the mistake in skimming through the slides that have pictures. Which has a lot of info that he uses in lec exams. So, make sure you study each slide! Lab exams are straight forward and easy.
Do not take Krown! If you are looking for a good professor at Mesa for anatomy or physiology, I suggest taking Brothers. Krown might seem like a good professor at first but you'll soon realize that he is not kind or considerate at all. His class was a waste of time and money. Save yourself the hassle and take Brothers!
I took anatomy and physiology with him. He explains the materials in the level that the students can understand. All of his lectures are on blackboard, so you can access it anytime you want plus he gives extra 40 points. Exams are base on his lectures, so if you study then you can get your dream grade. He is very nice, considerate, and respectful.
I took Krown for anatomy. He is very clear about expectations, covers everything you need to know in lecture, and provides plenty of resources online so the book was unnecessary. He also had plenty of extra credit opportunities available for students. Very passionate about what he teaches and understanding.
HANDS DOWN THE BEST professor to take for human anatomy. He really does help you if you go to him to help improve your grade. THAT SAID! dont go to him the last couple weeks or days before the semester ends. Many tests but study hard and record his lectures! helps to go over and do well on his lecture exams! WILL TAKE AGAIN IF I COULD!!!
Professor Krown does not give homework. Attendance is not mandatory but recording the lectures makes the tests he gives much easier! Be sure to review before and after class. He is very friendly but goes through the lectures quickly. I would look at his presentations before class so I wouldnt be lost as he was giving the lectures.
Professor krown was wonderful and very informative. He gives a ton of extra credit. His PowerPoints can be tough sometimes but he is good at explaining it in simpler terms. Would love to take him again if I could.
Gives out so many quizzes and exams. His lectures were very mediocre, I feel as if he constantly left out information, the subject itself is already very difficult. The entire class is based on pure memorization. Memorize absolutely everything. Mesa anatomy website is your best friend!!!
hes the best teacher ever.
too smart for his own good and cant explain the material in terms normal people can understand. not accessible outside class and genuinely doesnt care if his students succeed or not
Sweetest guy ever! My favorite prof. Exams are tricky but that is why you have to study! But he is by far the best Physiology and Anatomy professor at mesa!
He is an awesome professor! Do not skip lectures because material starts to get intense and missing even one lecture can put you behind. He cares about students and understand how hard the class can be so he offer a lot of extra credit points that would help your grade. His lectures are clear and organized and is always there to help you if needed.
He's an okay teacher. He offers extra credit, and is a good teacher. he kind of reads of the power point though. One piece of advice, don't just use the powerpoints as the study guide. When he hands you the study guide, use the Textbook at all times, because most of his questions are actually in the BOOK. Also, he doesn't drop tests.
offer lots of extra credits and that's what you need for this type of class... No other professor offer this much of extra credit..
Definitely record his lectures if you want to get good grades on his test. His slides aren't text heavy so unless you take your notes fast it is difficult to keep up when he lectures. Nice dude but we fell behind because he let us out early and cancelled class which normally I don't mind but for his class it made understanding concepts harder on us
He is the best Anatomy professor & cares about his students success. He is always accessible outside of class to go over anything that you don't understand. If it is possible, I would take him for human physiology class again in this fall 2019. I rate level of difficulties for 4 because this isn't a easy class at all, need to work hard to earn it.
It was a tough class but definitely not impossible and lots of extra credit and he curves. Half of the class dropped before the end. But the best advice I have is, record lectures and review recordings and slides while doing his study guide for the lecture exam (5) & utilize your lab time studying models and you'll do well on lab exam (6).
Definitely one of the easier anatomy classes out there. I took this class online due to covid and going to lecture was optional. You can just watch his recordings. The study guides he provides for lectures and lab exams always helped! He explains things very clearly and made the class enjoyable. He also doesn't assign homework!
If you can get into his course, do it. The textbook is just a supplemental source, not needed The exams are strictly based on his thorough lectures. He offers extra credit which is a game-changer to your grade. The lab portion of the course is straightforward.
He is a great professor. Also, he offers extra credits (usually only at the end of the semester), no assignments, and curves grade. The only downsides are that his study guides are very long and that his exams are challenging and tricky, but if you put in a lot of effort studying and don't procrastinate, I think you'll do great.
He was good at first but does tend to call off class a lot and this was a pain as it made the schedule crammed. Mesmerize all the lecture slides, study guide is titles of each of the slides fr. Is crazy detail oriented, asks very specific questions on exams. No homework. Around 6 lab & 8 lecture exams that make up your whole grade.
The hardest and most crammed course I have taken. Lectures are 30-50+ slides, roughly one slideshow per day; lab exams are 50 questions and NO assignments. He genuinely cares and wants you to know the material, but the time span from the lectures to the tests isn't enough. Pros extra credit, curves by 2%, understanding of personal issues.
I like the professor but his lectures are hard to follow, and the tests are hard. If you are going to take him, be ready to learn systems as a hole and a lot of specefic neurotransmitters. Know the small details and do the extra credit.
Took both w/ him simultaneously. Lots of tests. My fight or flight was on the whole semester lmao. But test questions are ALWAYS in the lecture. Physio questions require crit. thinking while Anat questions are straightforward. If anything, I suffered bc of the HORRENDOUS AMOUNT of material rather than the exam difficulty or his teaching. Gives EC
Lectures sometimes hard to follow but he teaches very well. He knows when he is lacking and accommodates the students when needed. Everything that is on the exams is in lecture. Pay attention to the pictures even if it looks worthless. Tests are easy, content is hard Record lectures bc nearly everything that comes out of his mouth will be tested
Low ratings are due to him calling off class a lot this semester due to personal circumstances. It actually benefited me bc the lecture videos r online when he's gone and I could pause He knows his sht. Very good teacher. Ugly slides. His study guides are useless, just study EVERYTHING on his slides. Easy tests as long as you know the material
Holy fck, taking both these classes in the same semester made me feel like I escaped in the last episode of a zombie apocalypse movie. Now feeling like I woke up from a fever dream. all I rmbr is taking exams Pros: tests you on content that he has taught, easy tests, good teacher, accommodating, curves grades, EC Cons: insane amount of content
Prof. Krown was pretty good. He kinda dumps the lecture information at you and expects you to learn it but there aren't really other ways to teach anatomy since it's all memorization. Grades are only based on lecture and lab exams. He canceled class kinda often so a lot of the lectures were online ones that he sent from 2020.
Prof Kevin explained his lecture clearly.Just like people said, his anat class is purely based on tests. We had 1-2 tests every two weeks. There are A LOT of stuff to stud, prepare ahead of time. this sem he was rarely in class bc something happened.he is very understanding and easy to talk to.He knows when hes lacking and make something for it.
where do I start, this class was probably one of the worst because he rarely came to class, some times the reasons were understandable but other times it was because he had a fever or something simple which tells me he didn't care to make any effort this year. we had a sub for 3 weeks while he was out, and I wished I had taken her class instead.
I have to respectfully disagree with the negative reviews for Spring 2024. Professor lost a family member early spring, if these students wanted to take another class, they had a chance to drop. As someone who understands grief, illness tends to follow and he still taught us. He was more than fair with grading and you can tell he loves what he does
Best teacher ever. I previously took these classes but struggled with the basics. However, I can understand the entire concepts by just reading his slides. Despite the family hardships,he did the best job help us understand the lessons, even from afar. And remember this, success in this class comes from our self-study, not from showing up at class.
