This dude was the most awesome teacher. He encouraged every student to become aware of world events and recognize how this impacts all our lives.

McWoodson is down to earth. He teaches econ by real life things that are going on. I recommend him to everyone, you just have to go to class and talk a little and he'll love you! ALSO test ?'s repeat themselves, by the final u already KNOW all the answers! Hes an awesome dude!

this is a teacher that you must take before leaving moraine valley. he is the type of teacher that blends in with his students and doesnt look down on you. connects what is going on today with what he teaches. but if you are a smart ass BEWARE b/c he will come back even funnier than you!! Excelerated class. Only had two tests. He cancelled class 3 times. Final was a direct composite of the two test we took- same questions in the same order. I think he had a lot of personal emergencies this semester. He was a great guy, very knowledgeable & enthustiastic. Fun class discussions.

One of my favroite teachers. Took 2 Econ classes with him. Quizs & Tests are easy and no strings attached. He reviews the tests WORD for WORD. Great teacher and alot of fun.

One of the college best teachers knows about economics in the real world.. mixes book with real world. I you have to take Economics get this guy.. he is funny and has a lot of energy...he is young and thinks of all students success.. Get him

He is a really good teacher. Wants to help and make sure everybody understands, he'll go over stuff multiple times. He likes to make people feel like an ass. Almost failed me for not writing the correct form letter on an exam, but later apologized and gave me the real grade. I'd recomend taking him.

Take the class..not the online classes..had him for the summer...Got a A.. makes class interesting and you will learn something...He can be a ass at times but hell aren't we all

Hes has strict rules in his class and if your phone goes off or even vibrates hell throw you out. If you are late for a class then he counts it as an absense and 3 of those will lower your grade 1 grade. His tests and quizes are hard. His lectures are interesting but it was a difficult class.

Great guy, the only way to fail his class is by not showing up. Gives awesome extra credit opportunity. He can be strict but just follow his rules and speak up in class for a good grade.

This is the teacher to take..took him over the last two summer got a B in both Macro and Micro.. wish he was at U of I teaching..get him fast cause his classess fill early... yeah sarcastic but his dry humor will keep you awake...

Both my girl and I took him both got A's he knows economy both book and the real world which I found more interesting.....my boys are taking him in the Fall so get on the bandwagon...better then D'Silva..tests come from quizzes and has a project and open book exam....

Just got my summer grades from his online class and got an A... he curves the grade and quizzes are easy but what out for exams and do the extra credit....

Mr. McWoodson's online class is fairly interesting. There are two weekly quizes but he gives you one week grace period. The final and midterm are based on objective answers that he provides to you and you just have to match them up. Enjoyed this online class!! Take it.

Easiest class I've ever had. Grades liberally. Most exam answers can be derived from other questions on same exam. Encourages debate and critical thinking. Being tenured, misses his full allotment of sick days. Don't ask questions, 'cuz he probably can't answer them. He'll just repeat himself. You would have to be brain dead to fail this class.

Good teacher.. helpful and get you to think past the book...project best part...got a B and test come from quizzes....no phones...knows lot about the real world...would take him again but graduating... class fill fast... easy teaching style and funny...and he knows economics....

took him for 101 got an A my girlfriend had him for both 101 and 102 she got to b's in his class...he is cool pretty tough on attendance and cell phones doesnt beat u over the head with textbook like Dsilva.. his 2nd exam open book and projects are good and boost grade...he is into critical thinking about the economy...class fills fast

just had him this spring 2010 grades fairly.. dry sense of humor...but overall good teacher would take him again..read over quizzes..takes exam questions from them.. and silence your cell phone...

Good teacher...funny and friendly....has good knowledge of text and real world...uses them to explain terms...clear speaking and fair grader.... classes fill fast...would highly recommend over D'Slivia...keeps you on your toes.. interesting class...and i hated econ in highgschool

If you like sarcasm, take him. If you get offended easy, do not take him. You can fail every quiz and get a B. "Prepares" for the final by reading it reading it off one by one. hated the class and had no intrest..but got a B.

Took his online class. Fairly easy A or B if you just read the chapters he assigns in the textbook and take notes. Online quizzes can be taken repeatedly and count for 30% of your grade. Midterm, novel and final exams are moderately difficult, but if you study the material in the book you'll be fine. He offers extra credit. Recommended class.

Took ECO101 online, and it was pretty easy. As long as you do the weekly quizes you should be ok. I think he must curve tests too, and he also offers extra credit. Take his class you wont regret it!

Def. a class i look forward to. He is very sarcastic but thats what keeps you thinking. Knows what he is talking about, uses modern teaching tools but do study for the quizzes, although they are multiple choice they are extensive. Over all best teacher so far :)

Took his class online. You take 2 quizzes by every Monday (with a 1 week grace period given in case you are busy) and you get to retake the quizzes until you get 100%. Midterm/final in the testing center. I emailed him a few times with questions and he always emailed me back explaining things. Definitely need the textbook. Extra credit is avail.

This man is a great teacher! He knows the book forward to back and he'll explain something until you understand it 100%. He's funny and his test and quizes are cumulative so I suggest you study each of them. There isn't much homework but there's a group project that you NEED TO WORK TOGETHER ON!I recommend him! He's a great teacher. Knows his stuff

This guy is the KING of economics. He is strict but that is only to help you and he know what he's talking about in this class. Yes he is a attendance teacher but if your not there ... its your lost because that book will think your in another country. He gives anyone an opportunity to get an A( with extra credit)..its up to you if you do or not.

Although he makes me really nervous & calls me out in front of the class all the time, i am taking him again for eco 102 because overall hes a good teacher.

It was a fun class, grade made up of group project,homework, quizzes(hardly), exams and a paper. The group project gets u a easy 20% and the paper another easy 5%. I'm taking him again for econ 102 he was a fun teacher and kept it interesting. He posts notes on bloackboard and you use book a lot.

Took him online and overall the course was very simple. weekly quizs, midterm, and final. He offers alot extra credit. In fact I mixed up the dates in my syllabus and missed my final. I went to his office and spoke with him he was very nice and allowed me to makeup extra credit and I was still able to get an A without the final. Awesome teacher!

His class is straightforward. He breaks it down from day one. There are about 3 tests, 4 quizzes, a one page paper,a group project, and a final. The subject is challenging, but Mr. McWoodson breaks it down to simple terms and gives great examples. His class is always entertaining and fun to attend. Go to class and ask questions. Take him!

Frankly, I'm comparing Him to my com prof. i had to drop, BECAUSE SHE USED HER OWN GRAMMAR RULES AND FAILED LITERALLY EVERY ONE SHE EVEN TOOK HERSELF OFF THIS SITE. econ is something you have to study for. frankly, for all my classes i just wait to get out so i can read the book. because of this teacher's jokes, this class wasn't the case.

took his class online. its pretty simple he lets you know how everything is going to go throughout the semester. quizzes can be retaken as many times as you can before the due date. I just hate his study guides!! not helpful at all.

If you don't want to get called on this is not the class for you, especially once he remembers your last name. He's very to the point but if you do have questions he'll help you out. Pretty good teacher.

This is not a blow off class be ready to work and pay attention because he will call on you. 3 tests one of them is take home and a couple quizzes. Also attendance is mandatory you will be marked absent if you're 5 mins late and he will kick you out if you go on your phone during class

I had Mr. Mc Woodson for both ECO 101 & 102 and I would recommend other students to take his class. He is a good teacher.

Mr McWoodson has a really funny attitude once you grow accustomed to it. He defines his grading criteria very clearly in the syllabus.

His 3 week microeconomics course was good bc no final. doesn't curve grades i got a 79%

He's hillarious. He gives loads of extra credit, take home exam, and open note quiz. He's very understanding but make sure you do your work. Don't be late, no cellphones.

He makes it basically impossible to fail.... I've never had an easier class

He gave our class 600 points of extra credit and the assignments were super simple and took all of 5 minutes to complete. If you complete all extra credit you can easily pass. He gives 10 online quizzes and 3 in-class test, 1 test is open book and the book is online. Also gave us 1 take home test.

The online assignments are easy, but the quizzes are difficult. You get to retake them unlimited times, but they are weighted heavily and impacts your grade a lot. Otherwise, it's a good course to take.

As long as you do the extra credit and and the quizzes its hard not to get at least a B

He gives you a list of everything to do the first day class starts and it is all on your own. Virtual class time is optional which is quite nice because no one chooses to be online, which gives you the opportunity to have a one-on-one time for specific questions you have. Only thing lacking is lectures. If you are responsible, this class is for you

All assignments, tests, and quizzes are all taken online. Tests are quite difficult but just read the textbook online! The class is based on points and attendance does matter! There are good discussions but be prepared to get called on randomly. Overall not a bad professor but has some odd rules.
