Great teacher, very helpful, explains things in very basic terms so it's easy to understand.

I'm not a math person and I was able to do well in his class. He's very clear and always willing to help you. If you can take his class, go for it.

He is a great instructor. He really goes with the pace of learning of the students and offers his help whenever needed. His test are fairly average and with his help on the study guides you will surely pass. Great overall instructor. 100% recommended!

Great Teacher!!! Attendance is not mandatory. If you don't get his lectures he'll explain them again. He's helpful when you need it. Really lenient on tests (sometimes grades on curves). He also gives back you tests and quizzes the next day. Recommend!!!

He is a great teacher!!! I would recommend him, for math. He grades fairly, he gives you partial credit as long as you show that you kind of understood the problems. He is very helpful on anything you need. HW is not mandatory but you should do it to understand the subject a little more.

College Algebra was easy. If I did poorly on a test or assignment, I had no one to blame but myself, because he's fair and a great teacher. Don't be afraid to ask for extra help if you need it. He's very patient and understanding. He's a good looking guy too, I think.

I was really dreading business calc but my friend told me to take it with this dude and he was right. Mofid really knows his stuff and is very straightforward. He teaches efficiently and clearly cutting out all the BS and helping those in need along the way. I highly recommend him.

This is a hard subject. I compared his workload and content with other students with different professors. And it seems Mofid's workload is actually on par with the other professors if not harder. The difference is, Mofid is a really great teacher. He knows how to teach and his methods are clever. He's also a charismatic guy. I dream of math now.

Do homework it helps, their is weekly quizes, and the test are just all the quizes together. Take him, you won't regret it!

FOR BUSINESS CALCULUS, i definately recommend to all business majors since all the other professors suck! honestly he doesnt teach from the book but his notes! his notes are clear and understandable. i hated math but now i actually get a lot of things that i didnt in high school because of him! Business calculus isn't an easy subject but he makes it very clear for you to understand. Listen and take notes, do the homework and you will ace the class. The class was also very enjoyable. He's a funny guy. Take him if you have a chance, you won't regret it.

I'm not sure I understand the stellar ratings he's getting. I mean, he's not a BAD teacher, but I've definitely had better. This was probably the most unproductive math class I've ever had. He goes too fast and goes on just a FEW too many irrelevant tangents...all in all though, class is pretty easy. Just don't take him if you want quality teaching

Just completed math 135 (bus calc) and I couldnt have asked for a better professor. He gets right down to what you need to know for the tests/quizes. Doesnt waste time on the unnecessary. He also cracks a lot of jokes, which makes the class fun. I actually looked forward to his class. He also came in to conduct study sessions on his own time.

At first I was very nervous about this class, math is not my best subject so I thought this class was going to be difficult. Turns out this was the best decision I made! He trys to keep the class fun, hes easy to understand, the midterms are easy because he does examples very similar to the ones on the test. If I could, I would take him again!

Homework is optional (love it) so you don't need the book unless you really want to study from it, but taking notes and studying them will do just fine. Good professor. Easy B. Just do your homework which is NOT online :) for practice and follow his study guide. You will pass easily. Don't slack off like I did and miss the quizes, they are the easy points.

This class was incredibly easy. If anyone needs help, he is always reminding us to ask questions and his help is genuine. He really wants you to do well in his class and he throws in constant jokes and stories during lessons. Definitely a professor to take. He is AMAZING!

Kevin is literally the BEST math teacher I have ever had! Take him take him take him. I hated math but he got me to enjoy it and understand it VERY well. He has a dry sarcastic sense of humor dont take his jokes seriously, if ur late he jokes with you. If you cant take a little razzing dont take him. other wise he is awesome!! Always willing tohelp

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR FOR MATH 110, 115, OR 135!! Very nice and funny teacher! He makes the material easier to understand. Used the book only to do HW problems. Tests were easy. And only once a week a daily quiz given only 5 pts each! One group project that is super easy. One of the best teachers in the Math Department!!

I honestly thought I would have a hard time in business calculus but he made it super easy and fun. The textbook wasn't even required but if you want the extra help to prepare for exams then you should do the hw from it. Great class. Great teacher. Take him!

I was horrified of business calc initially, but Prof Mofid made it such an amazing experience. I'm average at math, but he taught in such a clear, straightforward manner that made it seem so easy. Plus he is so funny! I would definitely take this professor again!

He is an excellent teacher. Go to class because there are quizzes every week. Do the homework, which is online and due the day of each test. The project is easy, it literally took me 10 minutes to do. I used the online homework to study for each of the tests and ended up with an A in the class.

If you need to take business calculus, take it with Kevin!! He is an amazing teacher and his grading is very straight forward. There are 5 point quizzes every Thursday, but they are so easy. The tests are more difficult, but he gives study guides and tells you basically everything that is on the test. He also knows all the math material. TAKE HIM!

Take him! I didn't pass with a different prof, but I got an A with him. He actually teaches how to apply formulas and goes over a bunch of examples with the class. Weekly quizzes, online hw is due on test days, 3 exams, easy project, and final is cumulative, but he doesn't put the confusing sections on it since we were already tested on them.

He's an awesome teacher that gives you the textbook explanation as well as a visual explanation (which totally helped me understand what we were doing). Great professor, lots of examples, easy online homework. Easy to talk to and made an awful calc class a fun, pretty easy one.

Kevin Mofid is a great professor! He really cares about his students and is always willing to help. Math, in my opinion, is not a fun or easy subject. Yet Mofid made class fun and easy to understand. You don't even need the book because his lectures are so detailed. I would definitely recommend him. Put in the work and you will receive an easy A.

Mr. Mofid is an amazing professor! Math150A, or Calculus I, is a difficult subject, yet he made it seem so easy with his straightforward lectures. He gives quizzes every Friday based on what you learned that week, and if you paid attention, they are very easy. His exams are also straightforward. I recommend him if you plan to take Math150A!

I took this course at 8:30am and professor Mofid made this subject incredibly easy to learn. He gets straight to the point and gives you tips and tricks to do problems, which ends up being a shorter and more understanding way of completing the problem. He loves his Broncos and loves to talk sports.

Favorite math professor! Always waited on students to copy down the problems and always asked if we had questions. He assigned homework in the math textbook, but doing homework was optional. I suggest to buy a used business calc textbook to save money since we didn't need the online access code for his class. Quiz every Friday unless we had a test!

Quizzes are not hard (consist of 2 problems), test are fairly easy (sometimes even puts questions from hwk on there), and final is cumulative. Math was a weak subject for me, but he made the subject a lot of fun and more understanding. There are quizzes almost every week as a grade booster and review for the lessons taught during the week. I did not really dread any of the tests other than the final, which is accumulative and can really tank your grade if you don't do so well.

Professor Mofid was a really good Professor for Math150. He explains everything really well and trieds to always come up with ways for students to understand the material if the textbook way is confusing. There is also good communication b/w student and professor. If you is for help during his office hrs he would gladly help you.

HONEST REVIEW: Kevin Mofid has to be one of my most favorite professors ever. His class is straightforward and nothing out of the ordinary. However, what makes him a great professor is the way he lectures you. He will make occasional jokes and if you ask an off-topic question he will bring up a story related to the offtopic question. Go to class and just pay attention to the man, easiest class of ur life. He provides so much help its so hard for you not to pass the class. Although you have to put some work in on your part its very easy to pass the class. He is a light grader to he cares a lot for students. Also very funny and is not serious like many other professors.

He explains things well and his way of teaching makes subjects easy to learn. If you ever have questions he will stay for a few minutes after class or he has office hours every week. He is funny and always has a welcoming environment. He tries his hardest to get everyone to pass and truly cares about each student if you put the work in as well.

His is caring, open, and friendly. Always open to talk about math and how to improve. Just make shure you call him Sir.

Amazing lecturer. It simplifies a tough subject while also making the class fun. Clear grading standards and will offer you positive comments. Students are given time and questions are thoroughly answered. He really cares about his students. Please take him!!

I failed this class, but it was not by any fault of the professor. I reached out to him for help and he gave me the best help he could given my situation. While I still failed and am honestly bitter about it, I would still take his class again given the opportunity. He's funny, engaging in his lectures, and simplifies tough subjects.

Very instructive and kind professor. Simplified the course extremely well for us to understand and is not afraid to be funny and have fun with the students. Would recommend absolutely 10 times over to take for your math credit. Do not take this professor for granted. Coursework is optional and is very helpful and professor takes liberties to help.

Took his class fall semester. He really simplifies calc down. I mean I took IB math in hs but is calc was way easier than literally anything I was assigned in hs. I would have reecived a better grade if I actually tried but srsly he's such a good teacher and simplifies it so it's easy to understand. The test aren't that hard too.

Easily the best calc professor I've had. His lectures are clear but simple and his tests are very easy.

From an F to an A. Kevin is great, he makes calculus look less scary than other professors make it look. Great lectures, not too much HW, one small project, quizzes (drops the lowest). If you get Kevin then you will be good as long as you put in the time and take good notes. He cares about his students and will help you if you reach out to him.

Kevin Mofid is one of my favorite professors of all time. If you engage with him in class, he quips back and helps to make lectures fun and entertaining. I didn't do too amazing in this class, but it was to no fault of the professor. He did what he could to pass anyone who put in the effort, and he really cares about his students. Would take again

Professor Mofid makes Calculus 2 as straightforward as possible, despite the challenging nature of the material. He doesn't grade homework, and his quizzes and exams closely mirror practice problems. With helpful tools like flashcards and review sheets, he provides excellent support. Highly recommend for clarity and simplicity.

Professor Mofid made learning Calculus 2 enjoyable while also providing in depth knowledge of the subject. He gives homework that you can and should do but you do not need to turn it in. In addition, the homework problems are very similar to the quizzes and practicing these problems will help for exams.

Professor Mofid is an engaging and helpful instructor. His lectures simplify complex topics, and he's always willing to provide extra support. Unstuck study was a great study tool alongside the course materials.

Awesome and funny, made Calc 1 easy. His lectures are great and teaches the material very well. If you take good notes, attend his lectures and are able to understand the material off rip, you can get away with not needing to do a lot of the homework and still excel in the class (homework is not graded but highly recommended for extra practice).

Although my grade was poor in his class he did an amazing job at teaching the whole class. He always has time for questions and is caring about his students as he bonds with the entire class. He makes the subject easy and simplifies it by not being overly smart to where it makes you feel dumb.

Great Professor, take him if you can, there is homework but it isn't graded and there is one test every week. If you go to this guys office hours he helps out alot. He wants you to pass his class but you have to put in effort. Take Him!

Great lecturer and professor, really wants you to succeed. Fast paced lectures. Weekly quizzes and is easy to reach out to for help. Very fair grader. However, he doesn't use Canvas for grades, and does biweekly grade updates using a printout. Homework/review sheets very helpful as well, though you need to attend class to know what they are.
