Great teacher! Funny, works with students, isn't boring at all 99% passing rate the only way to fail is if you dont ever attend class. The best math teacher at CSUF in my opinion take him and i guarantee you will pass regardless if you like math or not.

Makes sure everyone is at the same pace. Gives quizzes everyday basically, but as long as homework is done, quizzes are simple.

Great teacher who will do whatever he can to have everyone end up passing. Has a review day the day before and takes that whole day to prepare you. If you ask, he'll help. Really relaxed and a good teacher.

Mr Mofid is an excellent Math teacher. He helps you pass anyway possible. He doesn't collect homework. He can lecture too fast though, and it is easy to get lost. In order to do well, you must be able to learn independently as he doesn't "drill" you long enough in class.As long as you do the homework you should do ok on the the exams.

Great teacher. Not one of those whom you expect to know all the problems in the book by heart, but he always finds his way out of the confusion quickly, which is kinda cool. Funny and nice person. He makes the class pleasant to attend and doesn't make everything so complicated as some other guys do. Fair and easy on grading. I'd recommend him.

(Summer) Only went over the "easy" parts of each section, so we were not held responsible for problems "60-100". Pretty cool, huh? Becareful though, he does not do many practice problems on the board. It was a 3+ hour class and we would be out after an hour. If you are "bad" in math take Mr. Majors. If you are "good" take Mr. Bui or Mr. Mofid.

Professor Mofid was a helpful teacher. If you go to class everyday and keep up with the homework you will at least pass. I took his summer class and he spent half an hour just going over the previous days homework so I don't know what the previous person is talking about.

Mr. Mofid is a great instructor. He goes above and beyond to make sure the class understands the material. Every week there is a two question quiz (which is easy provided one does their homework), three exams, and the final. Mr. Mofid is extremely helpful and answers homework questions at the beginning of each class. Great sense of humor too!

Liked him so much i took him twice! I can see why students who have a really hard time with math overall may not like his teaching since he can go pretty fast but he has no problem with you asking for his help! Grade based on weekly quizzes which are super easy and tests. He'll love you if you talk about sports with him :)

Best math teacher I've had in years. Kevin is concise and very helpful when clearing up my questions. I would imagine that for someone who's completely new to the material he may go a bit fast, but for me I was just rusty and needed some practice. I suck at Math and he's made it fairly easy to understand. Wish he was teaching Math 40.

He is awesome! He makes you accountable for your own work. He is very helpful. He goes kinda quick, so if you need a slower pace and more practice work, you will need a different class. He also doesnt put up with BS, so only take this class if you WANT to learn.

He DOESN'T collect homework but if you want to do good in the class the hw is very good practice. Quiz once a week and only 3 exams throughout the semester. Super helpful. Explains the material clearly, making it easy to absorb. Weekly quiz's based on material / homework, with review of material just prior to quiz. Example exam's to study with prior to actual exam's. Wish I could have taken him for Calc 2!

Do the work, ask questions, pass. Doesn't waste your time - welcomes emails and staying after if you need something clarified. Great Professor but doesn't just hand you an A... it is math lol.

Great teacher wants you to learn and pass, weekly quizes but never suprises, doesnt grade hw, keeps things clear and simple. It doesnt hurt that he is super charming and nice to look at hahah

However, the class is very fast paced and you have to put in time outside of class. homework is not graded but do it so you understand. it kinda sucks because your whole grade depends on weekly quizzes and 4 exams. this is problematic if ur not a good test taker. Cracks a lot of jokes. Writes problems and solves them step by step. After that he has you do some on your own. Once enough time is given he will then solve them step by step. He will stay after class to help you out. For extra credit tell him how much the broncos suck, hes a big patriots fan.

Definitely recommend! he explains math in the simplest way so that it's really easy to understand concepts that seem really hard. I've always struggled with math but with professor Mofid, I actually feel like I know what I'm doing. Doesn't collect H.W but it helps with quizzes and exams.

Kevin is honestly the funniest professor Ive ever had! He makes class so fun. And he really explains math well. This is my second time taking math 40 because my first professor was terrible and I would fail every test. But Kevin is a really easy grader and gives you points on an exam for trying. Take him!!

Professor Mofid is an great teacher! I have struggled in math for as long as I can remember and this is the first time things started to make sense! He is a very fair teacher and grader. Do the homework and review the quizzes and you will do well. He is also hilarious so he will definitely keep you entertained. I would absolutely recommend him!!

This professor truly cares for each of his students and made his class enjoyable to participate in. He explains the material thoroughly and sets all of his students up for success. Do the homework, take good notes and you should do just fine.

You have to really not study to not pass. Compared to other teachers at Fullerton his tests are easy and short. He also picks the easy problems. Id you dont do the homework, you wont do good. Homework is optional but trust me! Itll help you for the quizzes every week.

This was my last try taking math 41. Kevin was an amazing professor. There a way to his teaching that just makes the information stick. He gives quizzes every week. He does give homework but its for your own benefit to do. You wont regret taking his class.

Really genuinely loved this professor. Great at explaining. He teaches as if youve never seen anything related to math, really explains it simpler for the ones that have a harder time. Youre definitely not going to pass if you dont study or pay attention, but I highly suggest taking his class. Amazing professor.

With the class being so interactive, math was so fun in Mofid's class. There were 4 quizzes total with the lowest being dropped. Homework was optional so there weren't many opportunities to boost up your grade other than quizzes and exams. There was a study guide, but don't depend on it because there are way more things on his exams.

He structures his online class like a regular class. Zoom meetings consisted of him providing lectures and notes while answering any questions regarding course content. There were a lot of students that didn't do any hw or ask any questions that blamed him for not doing well in the course. He's a great teacher with a clear method of teaching.

The homework he assigns isnt graded. If youre not good at math, dont take him. Had a B in the class before the third exam and then got a C. No way to better this as the quizzes dont give that many points and he doesnt grade the homework. Definitely my fault in the first place but just a warning. If youre good at math, youll be fine.

This class is very easy if you take good notes, do the homework, and write out a good cheat sheet that he allows for every exam. Although he is not accessible outside of class, you should rely on the Student Instructor to help you with any and all questions. With all of this, passing the class isn't hard at all.

100% the BEST professor I've ever had! He really cares about each student individually and has proven to go out of his way to ensure students understand concepts. Before taking his class, I had taken college algebra 3 other times and it never clicked for me. Then all of a sudden, once I took his class, EVERYTHING made sense. Please, TAKE HIM!!

IN PERSON; Super funny guy. Organized and accessible outside of class. Homework is optional and isn't graded. Grades depend on tests/quizzes. Very open to answering all questions and his lectures are clear. Very lenient grader. Embedded tutoring sessions help a lot. I'd recommend him to anyone who wants to learn math without stressing.

I've never been good at math, but this professor definitely helped me improve. Though I think he goes really fast on some lectures, he doesn't overwhelm you with too much material. He has four exams, around 7 weekly quizzes?, and no homework. He's a funny guy also.

Professor Mofid is one of the best math teachers from the OC colleges! He's really great at his job and great with teaching the material, his class is a lot of fun. Even the students that didn't find math easy, he would help them in the best way, I wish all math teachers taught as great as he does. Take his class if you can, you won't regret it.

Homework does not matter but will help you understand the material. He is an enjoyable teacher but can get a little sidetracked. He will give you updates on your grade after every exam. He is more than willing to help all you need to do is ask. He won't mark you wrong on the notation but he will warn you for future classes that do.

The exams are a major part of your grade, but he gives partial credit for wrong answers. His lectures are amazing and cover the material very well. The homework is optional and he goes over a few homework questions in the next class. I highly recommend doing the homework, though. He doesn't use Canvas, but will tell you your grade after every exam.
