Great teacher. He helps you become a better writer. If one of your essays doesn't look right he shows you the correct way and gives you a second chance. He is Brilliant and created the webct program! This professor deserves more publicity!
This class was so much fun...I took his comp 2 class online and he is a great professor! He has helped me to become a better writer...He is a fair grader and I'd take any of his classes again! :)
GREAT PROFESSOR....I WOULD ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO TAKE ANY OF HIS CLASSES..HE REALLY KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING! :)
Awesome teacher, would definately recommend taking him for any English courses. He really knows his stuff.
Nice guy but gives a lot of busy work! Lots of busy work!
Excellent teacher! Lots of essay writing in this class, but he was fair, honest, helpful, flexible, and interested in the students. Highly recommended!!
Very easy online class! It's just three essays and then a 100 word discussion posting per week. This is a great class if you need an elective and don't have a lot of time. He is a great teacher, and really keeps you up-to-date with what is (or should) be going on!
A lots of writing but they are worthy.
this was one of the best professors i have ever had. i didnt truly care much for the subject before i took his class. he brought a passion in me for the english language and for writing that it is unbelievable. i would definitely recommend for anyone to take his class. i give him an A+ as an english professor.
I haven't taken this instructor, but am checking ratings before I register. Just wanted to comment- this is a gordon rule class which explains all the "busy work".
Dr. Morgan is totally AWESOME! I changed my maor to Humanities because of him and I am taking another class with him this semester. I would highly recommend him to online or inclass students! I can't give him a higher rating!
He has the best online classes I have ever taken.
I hadn't taken online classes before this one and I had an awful experience. I printed out the sylubus but the due dates still got me. There are extremly hard tests(weekly), 3 research essays due, weekly postings and responses, and participation grades. I ended up putting in so much more work than any other class including my other online class.
this class is pretty hard unless you can figure the professor out. then its easy. Lots of work boring lectures. if you're willing to do work you will get a good grade. real good experience online but hated the class
If you have a lot of hard classes, ease yourself by not taking this one. His class does have a lot of involvement and time, but it is easy if you follow directions and do all the work. You have weekly postings and web searches, wkly chapter readings, wkly quizes(can retake 5 x), midterms, and 3 essays.
I am taking his East-West Synthesis online. This class is highly recommended! Very informative and you will learn so much! Dr. Morgan is excellent. The class involves alot of work (short essays), but aren't we all here to learn? This class makes you want to grab a backback and travel to experience these cultures for yourself!
Interesting online class. Expectations are clear...3 essays, weekly online discussion posting, weekly quiz, midterm and final exams. You'll learn alot in this class, but it's alot of work. He responds to emails very quickly and you know your grades in a timely manner. Got an "A" but worked hard to get it.Would recommend Dr. Morgan definitely !
easy class, but a lot of work/lectures
Do yourself a favor and take ANY class that Morgan is offering! He is one of the most fair and helpful instructors that you will find at SPC, and his online courses are very well organized.

Dr. Morgan treats his students unlike most profs. Not only does he present material in a clear, concise way, but the way he does it shows passion for what he teaches, in this case, philosophy. As far as his academics go- His tests are 10-25 question multiple choice format, with 4 chances to take each one!!!! He rocks.
I took Mr. Morgan's online Humanities class. Turned out to be one of the best online classes I've taken. Mr. Morgan is an excellent teacher. He will respond quickly to any questions and grades work in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend his class!!!
alot of writing - 3 essays, weekly 250 word posts and weekly quizes. Good teacher - learned alot and was interesting -only downside was the amount of time required.
took course online, lots of reading and test questions taken from anywhere in the book, but you can take quiz up to three time. you cant fail if you do the work.
Arrogant, doesn't read our work--just hands out grades. Insulting to my intelligence.
As has been said, this class is a simple grade. There is a lot of writing involved in this class, and Dr. Morgan can be very critical of your work, ang his grading can be somewhat harsh. The tests, however are an easy A. The finals are pretty easy too. It's just so much writing. So time consuming, I hated logging on to Angel because of this class.
this class was awesome with him. he is a great teacher. i would def. take him again. Great, easy, interesting class
One of my favorite teachers at SPC. Too bad I'm a science major, I would take another class with him if I could. He is very clear about assignments. The only bad thing is there is a lot of writitng, but he gives very helpful comments on papers. He genuinly seemed to want you to do well in his class.
Excellent professor for online
Very good teacher. Grading policy is fair. I liked the fact that he was very organized and I knew my grade at all times. It's an online class so you have to write weekly posts, if you don't like to write, take a class in person rather than online. We had plenty of time for the major papers and the expectations were fairly clear.
I took this class online, which meant that I had no face-to-face interaction with the professor. He didn't really do anything in the class though other than grade our work and reply to emails. It's an easy A class if you do the work, but there is a ton of writing. I had to write well over 2,000 words (more like 20,000) to pass the course.
Why do people complain about the writing? Gordon rule class = a lot of writing. Not the professors fault, it’s state law. He changed the syllabus/course format which I didn’t agree w oh well. Weekly dis. 1000+ words w replies, m/c mid term & final w/ essay portion, 1 paper. Responds quickly & nice.
Took him for Honors online - yes, there is writing, and definitely more than 2,000 Gordon Rule - but it is easy and he grades easy on the weekly postings, but does go to town on research essays. Overall good teacher, responds to emails quickly and answers questions. Would recommend.
3rd class with Prof Morgan and all is great! 3 papers, m/c midterm and final with essay questions, and weekly discussion postings. Responds quickly, doesnt count being late and fair grading. Easy A! I took it online, save the quizzes--thats where the midterm and final come from
I took the Hon. online version of this class and it was great! Dr. Morgan is by far the best online teacher I've had as far as responding goes and the material is easy. Expect to do quite a bit of writing in his class-it isn't one of those online classes where you can get an A by doing nothing. You can learn a lot by doing the assignments.
Took his class online. Take the time to read the text, and you'll get an A. Professor Morgan responds to emails and grades very promptly. Also, I got burned out by the end of summer semester and he was very understanding concerning an essay I submitted late. Overall, GREAT teacher for philosophy online!
Easy online course. I pretty much read the assigned textbook pages and did my weekly postings. The class also did three essays. I recommend the class to everyone.
Great teacher. Alot of reading & writing but Dr. Morgan is a fair grader and recognizes effort. Gorden Rule took a backseat to depth and meaning of essays. His class was very interesting. I highly recommend him.
Took the class online. LOTS of writing. Weekly Discussion posts are actually graded:250-300 words initial post and 50-100 words f/u posts x 2. Two papers and weekly quizzes that can be taken over multiple times. Not an easy class but organized. Responds to questions, grades quickly. Can work ahead but doesn't want you to submit too early.
STILL DIDN?T HELP. THE DIRECTIONS ON THE ASSIGNMENTS ARE CLEAR BUT MAKE SURE YOU WATCH THE DUE DATES CAUSE THEY CAN BE CONFUSING. He asked that we turn in an assignment a couple weeks before the term ended, which is all fine and good, but he asked that we turn in an assignment that we haven?t even covered in the class. I emailed him about this d
Had absolutely no interest in this class whatsoever. Still don't. Dr. Morgan knows his stuff. I feel bad because I never truly listened to his lectures--didn't have to. Class is easy. Godo guy, take him. Easy A.
If you find philosophy interesting then you will do great in this class! All discussion and papers are looked at for quality not quantity. Do not write like you are writing an encyclopedia. He is very quick to grade and the tests are not hard as long as you take time to look through the chapters.
I loved this class, and I learned a lot. I enjoyed the freedom to explore the cyber journeys. There is a lot of writing but you can pick your own topics for your essay's and there is plenty of time between each one. Weekly quizzes can be taken multiple times for perfection.Read your text! His respond to my e-mails were prompt.I recommend this teache
Great class! I took Humanities I online; Morgan is clear and concise - do your work and you'll do fine. Essay topics are your choice, which makes them fun to write. Any troubles, he responds to emails quickly! Definite recommendation!!
If you like writing then this is the class for you. Gordon rule classes are definitely busy work but this class far surpasses the gordon rule. Humanities is generally a 2000 word criteria. You will write no less than 8000+ words in the class. English only requires 6000. Otherwise easy grader. Remember to cite every sentence and you will get an A.
Get ready 2 do a lot of reading. Quizes r timed so you have to read the chapters. If u read, u should do well. 2 papers (not bad) 2 exams (review your weekly quizzes, same questions). discussion posts weekly. U will spend some time on this subject but if u read u will get an A. Even if u don't completely understand what ur reading.
Not a bad professor - do the work, check in each week and you'll make it out with a B, no problem. Essays are easy and are your pick on the topic - nothing insanely long or anything.
Great teacher! Took this class online and he was very helpful. You have to answer a question each week as well as write a review about any video he has listed. There is also a quiz each, usually 20 question timed, but you can retake them. Three essays, midterm, and final. It's really not that bad.
He is AWESOME!!!There is an massive amount of writing, which I love!!!however, if writing is not your fav..you may have issue,,this is college!!!definitely take him..Very easy
LOVE THIS PROFESSOR. Easy A. Alot of writing. Professor is willing to help. Weekly quizzes but you can take them 4xs so you easily get 100 on all of them. Highly recommend.
Take Dr. Morgan!Best humanities teacher ever. Weekly quizzes with 5 total takes, midterm & final but ALL questions come exactly from quizzes!Nice guy &respectful to students, replies to email rapidly Participation 200 Quizzes 100 Midterm 100 Essays 1-2 200 Essay 3 200 Final 200 Total 1000 points
Professor Morgan is the best teacher I've had as of yet. If you email him, he emails you back within a few hours, usually minutes though. If you are unsure if your grade is correct, he always goes back and checks for you. It seriously is an easy A. You can re-take the quiz's 4 times so you can get an A. I HIGHLY reccommend him to any and everyone!
Took this course online during summer semester. Prof. Morgan is tops in communicating with the students through ANGEL. The course is HIGHLY organized and his grading system is fair and clear. The only drawback is that I have never done more writing in a class.
midterm is exactly like the quizzes, so save the quizzes and there is a essay questions also included in the midterm and the final exam. always send the essay as an attachment to get the credit for the essay.
500wd wkly on 1Q+vid, include your opinion. Wkly 20Q quiz with 20min, retake 4x, same Qs. To get 100%: post early, analyze and post a reply. If not then 95% if you show you read the section of your Q. There are 2 essays, mid+final. Nice guy, easy grader. LOTS of writing overall but it's summarizing and a little creative thought. Not fun but safe.
really sweet professor and a pretty easy class. I suggest either doing it entirely online or entirely in class- not blended. Blended just seemed like a waste of time. You did everything, quizzes, web post at home but then came in every week for two hours to talk about it. Really easy though would recommend it!
Professor Morgan is great! The class is easy if you keep up with the work, weekly quizzes with four chances to take them to get the 100%. Weekly posts on videos and your reading of 500 words. Morgan is quick to respond to emails even on the weekends!! I would highly recommend!
this class is very easy! that being said, i didnt learn anything so if you're interested in the subject...not the class for you, i dont care for the way he grades his papers or weekly discussions but overall an easy class
Took over summer. Do the work and u can get an A. 4 chances @ quizzes. Weekly 500 word posts..be sure to give ur interpretation of subject matter, not just textbook answers. I replied to an avg. of 7-10 students for 100%. 2 essays 500-600 and 1000 words. Midterm and final 100 questions and essay responses. Def. take if you don't like Humanities.
5 Credits from graduation and all of my classes have been online so far and this guy is the best. 5 chances to get your weekly quiz right. The final and the midterm are straight from the quizzes. Easily my best experience with any class so far. His organization of the speech and overnight returns on grades make him my favorite ever.Easy A
Online, I have never written so much in my life! Must have been at least 9000 words w/ 500 per discussion, 2 papers mid and final. But he was a fair grader and cyber journeys were pretty interesting. safe A or B if you do the work at least. I would recommend due to the syllabus given was creative and educational (not boring)
Prof. Morgan, was such a delight to work with. He was helpful, his syllabus was easy to follow as long as you do your work you'll get an A. Best part is he lets you re-take his quizes 4 times!
A ridiculous amount of writing for this class. Really not too hard, just a lot of writing and he is brutal on grading formatting.
I took this class on line and enjoyed taking Professor Morgan's class. There is a lot of writing but this is an easy A if you follow his instructions and do the assigned work. I would take another one of his classes.
So I hate this class but at least I was able to make sense of it enough to pass. Just was bored most of the time. Grades very fast. Turned in papers and got them graded in hours. Know where you stand looking at the reports online. I took the course online and would recommend him to anyone. Got an A.
Online, A lot of writing involved in this class. Approx 500 word min posts/week, 3 additional essays, midterm and final. Quiz each week with four attempts to master. Course syllabus spells everything out for you. He's fair with grading, don't fall behind since it would be difficult to catch up. I would recommend,a lot of interesting cyber journeys.
I liked his class a lot. Have a discussion post and quiz each week but you can retake the quizzes four times. If you do the work and keep up with the class then it is hard to not get an a.
I took this class online for Spring Term. You will write, write, write, write, and then you will write some more. Weekly work is basically reading one chapter, an easy quiz, and a forum post. Midterm and final aren't bad just make sure you study your weekly quiz questions for them. Two general essays and one research paper. Writing galore.
I took this class online. If you do the work, it's an easy A. This professor is so understanding when it comes to late work and gave you a chance to make up some things at the end of the semester. you have a quiz and a 500 word discussion post each week plus 3 essays. He grades fair and I'm taking his other HUM course this summer
I took his class online and found it to be a great class. The professor was very helpful and graded our assignments very quickly. He was fair and graded as such. There is a ton of writing in this class, but it makes for very interesting work. I would suggest that anyone have him as a professor if you are taking an online Humanities course.
Great instructor, utilizes online videos to enhance learning. Gives helpful feedback on essays, improved my writing for other courses.
Great Instructor. The class is easy as long as you do what is expected of you. He gives a lot of writting asignments and you are given multiple chances on the chapter tests. I think he is one of the best instructors at SPC. You will learn a great deal in his class. I highly recommend him.
Easy Class. Three Essays a midterm and final. There is a discussion post each week and quiz. As long as you complete everything you should get an A.
13k word minimum for this class. 3 research papers, weekly essay style discussion posts about chapter and extra online videos assigned, tests with obscure info from book. Due dates are never clear, and change during semester. deviates from syllabus and adds assignments mid semester. Final & Midterm 100 Q test w/120 min time limit & 1k word essay
I took this as a blended class, one day a week in class and the rest online. He is the best teacher I have had so far! He is very fair on everything he grades. I see people complain about the writing assignments, ect..yes there is alot of writing but if you do it and show you know something about the material, you will do just fine!
This class involved more writing than comp 1 and comp 2 combined. It is easy to get burnt out writing in this class. He is a nice professor and a fairly easy grader, but at some point you will lose your interest in the subject matter and just write for the sake of filling the word requirements. 550-600 words a week with a quiz and 3 research papers
Lots of writing. If you are prolific with words you should do well. Didn't have to read the textbook except for quizzes, which are open book and conducted by mastery learning (multiple retakes and practically limitless time). Nice guy, very helpful, really cares about his students. I recommend taking this course as honors, not much extra work.
This is the first college course I've taken that I read the entire textbook cover to cover. As everyone else said, LOTS OF WRITING. It is philosophy so there's really not a right or a wrong answer. VERY IMPORTANT to meet the minimum word required to get a good grade. Weekly quizes. 2 Essays. I spent about 8 hrs a week to get an A.
This is one of the best teachers I've had at SPC. He takes the time to answer questions. Assignments are easy but you learn. You have 3 essays for the class, if you do them and you put time into them you will make a good grade.I would recommend him to anyone who has to take this class!!!
Had him online. At the beginning it was hard to totally understand. But as the class went on he became one of my favorite teachers i've taken. He does take a little bit to reply to your emails but hes very nice. every week you have a weekly discussion and a test. you get to take the test twice, and its the same questions. so its pretty hard to fail
Great teacher. Accepts late work (-10% of grade a week). Grades fair. Took class online. Weekly quiz, discussion post and video review + two responses to classmates. 3 Essays. Non proctored midterm and final. Do the work and you will pass.
Overall good teacher. Assessments are easy to follow and due each week which is not too bad. Just a lot of busy work but fair grading. Would recommend teacher to people that need a easy going class.
Make sure to keep up with your work! Quizlet will become your best friend. He does not accept late essays even when you have a valid excuse. So stay on top of those, everything else was quite simple!
Class expectations are realistic. Because it was a summer class only two essays. Grading was fair. Tests are hard, but he allows retakes. Final and midterm are HARD, no retakes 99 questions, 70 minutes, and 5 mini essays. No extra credit. Responds to email within 24 hours. I learned a lot and I'm taking a second class with him.
This teacher is absolutely wonderful! His instructions were very clear and it was actually quite an interesting subject. Highly recommend Mr. Morgan!
This professor was so cool. Very helpful, always gave great feedback on my research papers. Never failed me for repeated mistakes, only encouraged me and gave helpful suggestions. Quiz/Tests are easy if you read the book. Took the course online. I know so much more than I did before I took it, I'd do it again and def recommend PROF Morgan!!
He is simply amazing.
Enthusiastic teacher. His expectations are realistic and clear. There are weekly lengthy postings and commenting on classmates' posts are required. Each chapter has a multiple choice tests, which are not easy, but he allows retakes (Up to two retakes).
This class was an easy "A". Make sure you deliver you discussion post earlier in the week and reply to a couple other student. Professor grades accordingly and on time. I would absolutely take him again and intended to for the other 3 credits i needed for my BSN but didn't register fast enough.
Prof. Morgan's class was easy overall, he would respond in a timely manner and was mostly helpful with questions. Tests were based on the textbook for the most part, weekly discussion posts, and he allowed a retake for weekly quizzes. Didn't like how he graded essays mostly based on comp and not the subject matter. Syllabus was not always correct.
Class changed my opinion of online courses. Everything is online and laid out for you. You can see everything you will need to do for the whole semester. Three essays in all, plus essay questions for the midterm and final. You will have to work hard for an A but he is a fair grader. He gives good feedback on grade and how to correct for next time.
Hands down the best online class I have ever taken. All coursework is laid out perfectly and you are able to easily get ahead. Professor gave good feedback and was quick to respond to e-mails. Taking Dr. Morgan's class next semester for my second Humanities requirement. Highly recommend!
Didn't have to interact with the teacher too much, but the class was interesting and easy enough for those who pay attention. I liked the fact that the discussion questions were related but not directly taken from the book, causing more thought to go into the subject the module covered. All in all a good class and a good professor!
Took PHI1010 online, very clear and understandable material. Happy with this course.
This class was awesome. This professor knows what he is doing. He tells you what he wants and expect work load is well distributed through the course. Read text and do assignments . Instructor gives good feedback on what you need to improve for next assignment pay attention to first essay feed back and use it as a guide. Assignments in order sugges
A lot of writing for a summer class but wouldn't have been bad spread out more. You must meet the minimum word count. There was enough assigned reading that it burned me out and I just skimmed. Each test has 2-3 attempts and his feedback will tell you exactly what he's looking for so there's no reason to not get an A.
humanities is supposed to be an easy class and I mean that as enjoyable and highly interesting . This professor cares more about paper writing than learning the subject. You are going to write your tail off. Its the only class I made a B in even tho its the class I worked the hardest at. What gives?
Lots of work and writing every week. It's almost impossible to get full credit assignments. Word count matters in all posts and papers.2 papers. You view online material and lots of reading.. Quizes 10 random questions. Midterm/final 50 random questions. No study guides. Hard class. No instruction its all learning on your own by following modules.
Read the required textbook chapters, participate in discussions, write the final two papers, and you should pass with relative ease. One of the final papers is on your own aesthetic experience for which you have to go to an art museum, etc. Accepts late work, with deductions. Replies are prompt.
Pretty easy class. Quizzes are really easy. You use the book for everything so you definitely will pass. Lots of writing though and the discussion aspect of the online course is kind of annoying.
Dr. Morgan is an wonderful, caring professor. He clearly cares about his subject matter as well as his students' success in his course. I missed a due date (my own fault) and he emailed me first thing to let me know and gave me a chance to submit it late without too much penalty. Every week: read/test/paper. Easy breezy and he kept it interesting!
Mr. Morgan's class has A TON OF WRITING ASSIGNMENTS. Every week there is a quiz and a 500-700 word essay or discussion post due. Also, 2 final papers. It's really tedious work. One good thing is, there is no mid term or final. A lot of the weight of the final grade are the writing assignments.
Not one email communication! Generic, self-taught course; might have well been a robot. Generous grading; I slacked off, but turned everything in and got an A. Expensive Book needed, but quiz-let are useful. The usual weekly discussion post, 10Q mult.-choice quiz w/2 tries, & 500-word midterm and final papers. Easy enough, but I felt no passion.
if you don't like philosophy, dont take this class. If you like it, he is a great professor to learn from. I really enjoyed the semester
I've taken two class with Dr. Morgan and I think he is wonderful. He is a great teacher and grades very graciously. He forces you to think outside the box.
Weekly quizzes and discussion posts. Quizzes are easy and he gives you multiple questions to choose from every week for discussions. Two papers are very short, 700 words at least. if you need extra help to understand a subject, dozens of links every week to subject material for extra reading. overall a basic format/class considering the subject.
Had him over the summer online, very easy class quiz every week 2 chances keep the best score and a 400-word discussion each week on the topic along with 2 responses to other classmates posts. There are 2 papers midterm and final but short only 500-800 words each.
Took Intro to Philosophy with professor Morgan over the summer. Weekly quizzes, discussion posts and two papers. If you do the work you will pass. Would definitely take him again.
I had Humanities online and the class was very predictable. something like a multiple choice quiz with some assignment at least 500 words a week, with 2 bigger essays instead for some of the weeks. Also one of the essays requires you to find an and go to an art museum. modules due late Sunday, good amount of work but easy if follow instructions.
We appreciate you. We appreciate you. you are a one of a kind man. YOUR WORK AND UNDERSTANDING DOES NOT GO UNNOTICED. He is the most understanding caring wants you to graduate and succeed DR. Professor cool a dude I had the privilege to call my professor. you need a big fat check of what you.
You read the lesson, take a quiz, and do a discussion. Thats it. Every week. Pretty boring, but its SO easy.
Dr. Morgan is a good choice for Philosophy. One discussion post every 1-2 weeks, and quizzes. One midterm and final research essay. Doesn't really interact with the online class very much, but doesn't seem to be a tough grader. Do the work, and you should earn an A. Overall, good professor.
I tried taking his Humanities summer online class. He wants you to do 2 discussions a week 500 words each discussion and post a response to 2 classmates a 100 words each response that is too much you pretty much writing essays not discussions. All the classes I ever took my discussions was a minimum of 200 words and post a response to 1 classmate.
Took this class during COVID and Professor Morgan was very understanding with everything going on. Weekly discussion posts that aren't too long and weekly quizzes that aren't bad at all. You do not really need the textbook (I never used it). The papers are easy, just have good details and facts.
Professor Kevin Morgan provides online resources for each discussion post (one per week). To get full credit on discussion posts they must be 800 words minimum, but I've proven that can be done. He posts his own lecture videos which are informative! You will need to use APA and MLA. There are 2 actual essays. Also, one open-book quiz each week.
Overall, I really enjoyed this course. The textbook was genuinely intriguing to me, and I appreciated its fixation on art history. Dr. Morgan seems to grade based on word count, so anything below 400 words won't get an extremely high grade. If you don't know a lot about the course material, you'll find the writing assignments challenging.
Mr Morgan is not the type of person who helps you outside of class. If you email him he will respond with only yes and he sounded rude in emails. Also when graded he would take 1-2 points off even when he said the work was great. He just did not make me love the class because he was not as helpful as most of the professors should be.
Interesting Subject.
This is one of the easiest classes I have taken during college. This is the most straightforward class; read the assignment, get quizzed on it, and do a discussion post. There are several writing assignments, but he isn't a tough grader, just meet the criteria. No midterm or final. Easy A. Just READ, READ, READ.
Such a tough grader. He's incredibly hard to reach outside of class and is very rude in emails which I think is funny, cause he's not actually teaching us... he uses video lectures. Not forgiving when it comes to deadlines. I was given the chance to do an assignment late & his assignment feedback: "best discussion post I've seen". He gave me a 40%.
Do yourself a favor, do not take him. You have to write 800-1000 words on his discussion posts (every week) to get the full grade, even though the minimum is 500 words. I had to buy the textbook he required because all the quizzes and exams were embared. Not worth it. I dropped his class less than a week. He is also rude when answering emails.
Great teacher!
The course was not difficult at all, being that it was fully online. There was clear grading criteria, he was flexible with deadlines, for each day way -5 which did not hurt your grades as much. Most of your grade is from the discussion posts which were a min. of 500 words. Overall, great class to take, very informative and interesting to learn.
If you want to take the course online, do NOT take this professor. As a student has said 2 reviews below me, you MUST write over 1000k words per discussion. Sometimes that's not enough. For essays, unless you have everything perfect..thesis...citations...expect to get a C or before. 1300k words. I am a straight A student. The grading had me crying.
All this professor does is talk. He rambles on and on about the same topic and reads off an essay he has written on the board. The amount of times I just skipped should explain the problems I had in this class. The workload was unreasonable. Discussion post every week that is 500 words minimum and a reply to 2 classmates that is 100 words each.

Prof. Morgan as a person is fine, his class is super interesting, but his grading criteria is unclear and is just horrid. Even if you meet his 'criteria' he takes points off regardless but doesn't bother telling anyone what we can do to change or improve. He also does not know the difference between MLA or APA, & due to that students get penalized.
Arbitrary grading. If you're fine with a B or low A, and you don't mind a lot of reading and writing 700+ words a week, the class is ok but I wouldn't recommend it personally. It feels bad to follow what's given to you in instructions and receive good feedback, but not get full points.
Very textbook centric. 500 word count for discussion posts which I thought was a bit much and he heavily encourages you to exceed that. I got an A in the class but I never received a 100 on anything and he never gave feedback as to why. Overall not terrible and he is really understanding especially with the recent hurricanes.
Prof. Morgan's class is interesting, but the grading criteria is strict. Expect to write lengthy discussion posts and essays. Unstuck AI and the provided resources can be helpful for study prep, but the professor's feedback can still be tough.
Great class! The discussions and papers are lengthy, if you aren't a good writer you may have a hard time. Very good professor and enjoyable class overall
