Great work-out routine. Many crunches and push-up in this class. Petti really knows the human body, as he also teaches human dissection as well as Health Ed. Top quality>>>>

Easy and fun class. Nice guy. Can bring your own music to work out with. 30 min. stretches.. then to the gym. Easy A. Just show up and do some walking around the school or in the gym.

Extremely easy class. He lectures well, so it's easy to take good notes, which are all you need to ace the tests (so don't bother buying the book). He truly seemed to care about all his students and was willing to go out of his way to help me out.

all you have to do is study consistently and you will pass this class. no h.w. but lots of studying. He's cool and will help you with anything. the tests are long but not too hard if you STUDY!

He is a very nice guy. alwasy willing to help. Tests are easy. Study from lectures notes and read grom the book and your are going to have an A. not hard at all. He is a sweetheart!!!

It was a great class

Fun teacher who is very passionate about his job. I took his friday 3 hour classes and time flew by! Likes to joke around and talk. There really is no need for studying if you pay attention and take down notes. I hardly used the book at all with the exception of one chapter. Only one paper to write and no hw!

He is a great teacher, all you have to do is take good notes and stuy those for the tests. He loves what he teaches, and will sometimes go on rants about his favorite football team, the Jets I think, but he is a good guy. I am an A student and got an A in this class. The only thing I really didn't like was the slide show of STDs.

Kevin's passion for teaching is clearly evident by the way he keeps you interested not only through discussion but also how he engages his students through interaction. He's a great teacher! =)

Easy Teacher, very lay back guy, his teaching method is great, "he's joke, but he's not" easy A if you just go to class. His lectures are on powerpoint which is posted on his website. But i Suggest you go to class to get more from his powerpoints. Great Guy. Love his class. Common sense questions on the test.

OMG. i wish i could take a class like this every semester. i never even took notes, just pay attention in class + review his powerpoints online. i got an easy A. one self=interest paper. no final. i dont know how easier it can get. i took his class on a fri morning, i was expecting hell but it wasnt. for once a teacher that is actually funny too

Awesome teacher, but very hard class. You MUST study alot! No HW, final grade is based on tests alone. He expects you to keep up on your studying, like you should be doing in college. This class is da bomb. I like the way he helps me with the terminology. He makes it so much easier for me and the class. Hes very conscience about giving his students the answers on exams yet he trys his best in teaching. I strongly recommend this teacher.

He's a great teacher! His lectures are fun and easy to understand! He's very lenient and will always go over your tests with you, if there are misunderstandings. Just listen to his lectures and go over his lecture notes (posted online), and you'll definetly pass! There's no homework, besides studying for tests, and u hardly have to read the text!

Lot's of material covered, but teacher is very throuogh and gives lots of time to students for help. His test are tough but he gives a great study guide. If you read, go to class, and study you will do good in this class. Teacher is intersting and makes lectures intersesting.

Easy but informative. If you attend lectures and take notes the tests are a breeze. All lectures are posted online, and he is super helpful. No homework. Great in-class discussions with a focus on real-life application. Highly recommended!

I had Kevin for both Bio160 and Health101 last semester, and the man is without a doubt the best professor I've had in my entire college experience. He is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, erudite, and informative. He leaves no question as to the material you need to know for exams. All you have to do is study. I have him next for Bio232 and PE281.

this class is a straight up lecture class. you dont use the book at all so dont even bother buying it. even though its a lecture class its still fun.. he makes it interesting. there is absoultely no homework. there is one paper worth 20% of your grade and 4 tests worth 20% each. and all lectures are online :) i def recommend this class!

r. Petti is an engaging instructor. He wants you to succeed but he WILL challenge you. Class is heavy on the anatomy/light on the kinesiology. You will need to study regardless of your intelligence or scientific background. The book is more detailed than the lecture but one should read it as test questions are derived from the book as well.

professor Petti has been very helpful in creating a clear distinct picture of the human body. In dissection his lessons and directions are given clearly. He is always there to help out, if there are any concerns or questions that students may have. Going into the medical flied I have a much better understanding if the human body.

Awesome Professor. He has a sense of humor and engages the class well. Health is very important and he makes it fun to learn. Attend his lectures, study the slide notes and skim through the chapters and you will do well in his class. There is no homework. Just tests and one paper due at the end of the semester. I learned a lot. Great elective.

He's a really motivated teacher. He seems like he loves his job and teaching others he is very talkative, organized, and funny. I understood everything he was saying. This class is an easy class if you pay attention to the power points you should not get less than a B in this class.

An amazing class and great teacher. You get out of it what you put in. Its one thing to learn anatomy from books and models but you learn much more when you actually get to dissect a body. Such a great teacher. I took the 3 hour lecture that was at 8am on a Friday morning and despite the terrible date and time, I loved this class. Professor Petti is extremely intelligent about the topics he covers and always adds humor and entertainment into the mix. All around amazing professor!

Kevin Petti is an amazing prfessor. Getting up at 7:00 in the morning is never easy. But once you get in his class you're wide awake. He's very interesting, hilarious, and is extremly knowledgable, not to mention handsome. I would highly recommend taking his class. This is my first college course and i'm so greatful I chose this class to attend.

If you are required to take BIOL160 I recommend this professor!!! He is very funny, very knowledgeable and a great person. There is never a dull moment in his class. Just make sure you study the material and if you don't understand, JUST ASK because he is sure to answer and explain until it is clear to you. I also recommend his lab book.

He is a great professor for anatomy and physiology . This course is difficult enough and can get really boring but he makes every single minute of a class interesting and fun that you want to learn and be present in his class. Amazing lecture skills where you learn without realizing how much youre taking in until after the lecture. Elements of Human Anatomy and Physiology (BIOL 160) taught by Professor Kevin Petti is one of the more difficult and demanding courses at Miramar College. It is also one of the most rewarding. Professor Petti puts much effort into his lectures and expects the same from his students. This course is the best clinical preparation available at SDCCD.

Fantastic Professor! He really knows his material and is passionate about his work. He is very clear of what he wants you to study for exams (which I like that he breaks up into several exams throughout semester). The reason the easiness meter is not high is because you have to work for it, but as long as you put the study time in you'll pass.

I'm not a morning person, but I'm more than glad to go to his class at 7:50 every morning (even with horrible traffic). He's such an awesome professor. If you enjoyed BIO230 and want hands-on experience with cadaver dissection, I HIGHLY recommend taking this lab with K. Petti. He is a pleasure to be around! You get out of this course what you put into it. The course has structure but KP gives students much freedom so it's a very laid-back learning environment. Do take this course while you can!

My favorite prof by far!!! He is super helpful and is willing to go over things with you if you need the help. Easy class only 1 paper and 4 test. Start your paper early don't wait until the week before its due! Also I suggest printing off the lectures it really helped a lot.

Dr. Petti is awesome!!! I just got my grade back and I was screaming!!!!! I've had A&P three times and never had it taught the way he teaches it. He's very thorough and every detail counts so make sure you go to class. If he gives extra credit do it!!!! Studying really hard for this final and doing the extra credit saved me!.

I only took this class because it was mandatory but he made the class actually interesting and fun for a basic health class. Very little homework throughout the semester and only four tests and one paper. The paper you basically have all semester to work on and it's not that hard to do. Just show up and pay attention in class and you'll pass.

Great class, I had different expectations when I started so be prepared. Be ready to be studying for hours everyday in order to understand an pass this class. He is a Great professor, he encourages you to try hard An makes every lecture An lab the laugh of the day.

Even though I took him a couple of semesters ago, he left an impression on me. His lectures are applicable in "real life" instead of just reading from a textbook. His PowerPoint lectures and grades are on his website and accessible at any time. I used his slides way more than I used the textbook so don't waste money if you don't have it.

Great professor! There are lectures almost every day, but he has a good sense of humor, that it's fun to listen to him! He's fair when it comes to grading, if you don't try, you won't get a good grade, but if you do your best, you will pass the class!

If you have to take health, take him! Don't even look at the other professors. Petti's class is like an educational comedy show. I was never bored learning from him and actually wanted to show up for class. 4 tests, and an easy project where you get to make a lifestyle change. He also offered some easy extra credit.

Bio 160 is a fast-paced, combined A and P course. It will demand hours of regimented studying or you will not pass. Warning aside, Dr. Petti is one of the most enthusiastic lecturer you will likely ever have. His lectures will serve you for years to come whatever you are going into so record his lectures. The class is all lecture based no homework. He structures all of his lectures with all of the questions in the beginning of the lectures. Personally, I didn't show up to class, but got an A, instead I studied all of his slides. However, I was only 1/3 people who got an A, so take that info with a grain of salt! Otherwise, he is a GREAT PROFESSOR!

By far one of the best professors you'll ever have. He's very smart and will help you understand anything you struggle with. BIOL 160 is very hard, but he'll be there to guide you to success. Final grade was the average of 4 tests and a paper. It was a bit difficult to study for the tests because the only class resource we had were his lecture slides which are simple bullet points. But if you take notes in class he emphasizes the important points, and he has interesting lectures. He's very considerate and open to questions.

I am glad that I had a chance to have a class with professor Petti. He is very organized. Nothing unexpected will happen in this class that makes you upset or surprised. Professor Petti is passionate about what he teaches. There are a few assignments throughout the semester. He conducts live lectures twice a week but if you cannot assist he posts them on canvas. Very flexible with grading and his ultimate goal is to tell us the truth.

Recorded lectures, but recommend joining live. Can ask questions anonymously by chat which saved me from embarrassment. Few assignments, no textbook required. Eng isnt my first language and there were many words I never knew, but he explains them well. Its a bargain to be able to take a class w/ a prof with that much credibility for the $ of CC.

I was nervous to take HEAL 101 since I knew very little about health. I was super pleasantly surprised by how interesting Dr. Petti made the content! He's centered on teaching the truth behind science. Scientists often overcomplicate stuff, too, and I really liked that he simplified stuff to make it accessible to us. Really interesting class!

His 4 week Health 101 class is stellar. His lectures are great at keeping you captivated. You can tell he loves what he does by how enthusiastic he is. Dr. Petti is my favorite teacher I have ever had in college and probably ever. He's charismatic, hilarious, and really knows his stuff. Very passionate about what he teaches and keeps all his lectures very interesting. Despite going to his class at 8 am in the morning I had never fallen asleep once in his class because he's that good at lecturing.

Dr. Petti is an extraordinary professor who is both master of his subject and someone who teaches it with enthusiasm and clarity. Even if you're not already thinking about a career in allied health, you might still consider taking his course while it's being offered (and/or join the sessions in Italy, budget permitting). KP taught an amazing human anatomy and physiology class! He's very knowledgeable and taught the course material so well while also making lectures/labs fun and engaging. His grading criteria is very clear and easy to follow. He makes very specific study guides and tells you what you need to know for the exams. Loved his class, amazing professor!

TAKE THIS CLASS. He is amazing but yes you do have to study he has 6 exams throughout the course but it is worth it, as long as you study what is on the guides you should be fine and he provides PDF for the textbook, he is super funny and just the best professor I have had. You can see he cares a lot and it makes you want to learn more!

Kevin is the absolute best teacher I have had in a while. I would 100% want Kevin to be my teacher for every class I take. If you are looking for a fun class and a fun teacher, I would really recommend this class.

Petti was an awesome teacher! you do have to study to succeed but he makes it very clear what u need to study and makes it very easy to pay attention! very attentive and it labs/lectures were very entertaining! 100% would take another class with dr.petti!

Professor Petti is a must-have professor. He was so insightful and showed so much wisdom for a topic he loves. He inspired me to pursue what I might not have seen as an option. He was always straightforward, open to conversation, and never failed to make us laugh. I found all of his history, art, and anatomy lessons amazing.

Dr. Petti is one of the best professors I've had so far. He's really funny and sweet. You do have to study a lot to pass his class but he's always happy to help if you have any questions. I would definitely take one of his classes again.

Professor Petti is engaging and passionate about the subject. He provides great resources like study guides and practice exams to succeed. Labs are fun, and attendance is important but not mandatory. unstuckstudy ai was also helpful for exam prep.

He is co-author of the textbook we used in class. Dr. Petti is the best professor I've ever had, he makes learning an exciting and an inspiring experience. Dr.Petti is by far the best professor I have had! After having to retake this class, he made it way more understanding while also being interesting enough to keep students engaged. He prepares you for the clinical world in addition to everyday lectures and labs. He also if very clear on what you will need to know for each test.

Of all my professors between undergrad, grad school, and here, Dr. Petti has been the most engaging of all of them. He has his lectures down to a tee and emphasizes the important details well. His 8AM lecture was a good way to start the day. The content and exams are difficult, but he distills the info to make it approachable.

I've had 15+ professors so far and I've never rated any of them, but I had to rate Professor Petti! He's a really cool guy and he made lectures fun. Having a lecture first thing in the morning can be rough but I always felt excited for class and for what I was going to learn. The class is a lot but if you study and pay attention you will be fine!

BEST PROF EVER! Anatomy is hard, but Dr. Petti made it so easy! Amazing person, puts all his love and knowledge of the topic into the lectures. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you'll miss out of you don't go! Lectures are so interesting. Study guides are exact, multiple choice online and practical in class- just STUDY! No hw. Going to miss class!

Best professor ever!! We went abroad to Italy where content about anatomy and art was heavily integrated into Italian history and culture. Professor gives you online content to complete before leaving. Lots of readings but very fun to complete since you will see what you are reading about in person in a few weeks. BEST CLASS EVER!!

I cannot sing Dr. Petti enough praises. He is an incredible teacher and knows what he's talking about. He makes extremely dense and difficult material easy to understand. He loves Italian culture and makes sure to show the cultural relevance of what he's teaching. I feel bad for those that will not have the pleasure of taking his class!

Amazing teacher, very clear he has such a passion for what he teaches. Everything you need is so well organized in the modules for this class. Study study study. If possible maybe take the class if you don't have a full school schedule. Time management will be your friend. Take his class!!

Professor Petti made learning fun! His lectures are funny and engaging. He provides you with exactly what you need to know to succeed in his class. Studying is a must because there is so much material you have to learn and memorize. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I was able to learn. He is a must take! You will not regret it.
