Are you guys serious? Sure Siena is very helpful and very clear but can the guy be more arrogant? Oh and did I mention that his marking scheme is messed up? He gives only so many students A', so many students B's etc, To keep the class average at a balance. Bet you didn't pay attention to that.

Kevin, is an ok guy, he has pretty good styles cept when he wears white socks with brown shoes. As a teacher however he lacked. I just hated his class too much to discuss it in depth. Girls look past his looks and rate on how he teachers.

I disagree with the last posting - Prof. Siena's analogies are the best part of his teaching style. If you open your mind a little you will see that they are quite clever.

excellent lecturer

Im really not one of the girls who are in love with this man, but i am in love with his teaching style. He is so clear and makes you want to learn, and you reatin so much knowledge from his lectures it makes the whole course a little easier. HOWEVER, the Man LOVES TO hear himself talk.HE will ramble on forever if you let him. Loved him otherwise.

Fantastic Prof. Easy to approach, helpful and great teaching style. Gets the point across and you actually leave remembering stuff. Awesome.

Very informative, awesome lectures (loved the one about pre-modern sex and sexuality!) Readings were big and he is a hard marker. If you put forth a****ty effort, you'll get a****ty mark. He helped my writing style and now I write better essays. Definitely taking his forth year class.

Prof. Siena is an exceptional professor. He expects a lot from his students, but you also learn a great deal from him. Assignments are designed to make you think. Prof. Siena is willing to help all students who ask and will do what he can to help them out. He is extreamely knowledgable about his topic. One of the best coures I have ever taken!!!

Personally, I do not find Prof. Siena to be arrogant at all. I also haven't heard anyone refer to him in this way. He was very approachable and helped me to refine my writing. He is a hard marker, but he spends a lot of time giving you a reason for the grade you received. Nothing but respect for this man.

Easily the most animated history lecturer at Trent U. He is able to convey his interest in the course material through lecture and seminar, which overall increase this course's appeal. Siena is a really great prof when it comes to lectures. He seems to be really passionate about the topic, and hilarious too. He is not always the most useful when it comes to helping out... especially if you don't start your assignments early. The textbook is super dull, but he makes up for it in lecture. Siena is a great lecturer and gorgeous too!

Some of the individuals on this site really need to tone it down, in a number of ways. Prof.Siena is a strong lecturer, safe to say it is his greatest strength. However, when delivering feedback on assignments he can be incredibly pointed, almost to a fault. I doubt this reflects on his character, and the comments on appearance, grow up,not hschool

I thought that he was great. His lectures were linear and were very coherent, and organized. He is a great help when you go to him. He likes to see students who have initiative and the willing to learn. He is very helpful - when you go to him. This was a great class, and would recommend this class to anyone.

Kevin was a great prof whom I would recommend to anyone. Be sure to have a general knowledge of the major events that effected the early modern period for this class, and you will be fine.

Professor Siena is a fantastic lecturer. Super passionate about his area of study and its keeps you focused and excited to learn. Very willing to help his students learn and understand. Tough marker, and will let you know when your writing is sub-par, but will give you help and in the end it helped transformed my writing style.

You should really want to come to any lecture with Kevin. It can be hard to keep up but it really is worth it. He has amazingly fun lectures and he is pretty hilarious.

I love Kevin! He is so funny and is really interesting to listen to. After 2 hours however it becomes a little difficult to listen to him. I would take his classes again just because I like him as a person so much. However, he is tough marker and hard to please, he is definitely better suited for fourth year course, nothing lower.

He took the class very seriously but was hilarious and fun.

I thought Kevin was amazing, I loved his lectures and he puts a lot of passion and personality into everything he does.

Kevin is honestly such a nice and genuine person. He makes his lecture interesting and while he does go off on tangents sometimes, theyre usually relevant and shows how passionate he is about his work. Kind of a hard marker but gives a lot of feedback and is clear on what he wants.

Great guy. A decently hard marker but gives you really great feedback. Super clear on what he expects for assignments. You can tell he's really passionate about what he's teaching. Seminars are well organized and interesting. 100% would take a class with him again.

11/10 would take a class with Kevin at any time.

Incredible lectures. The best history prof at Trent by far.

Witty and sarcastic in the best possible way. Makes the eighteenth century relatable and fun. Provides excellent feedback, and is available outside class to discuss course material, upcoming assignments, or to chat.

I was absolutely blown away by his willingness to go above and beyond to help his students succeed. It's rare to find a professor so genuinely compassionate, and I cannot praise him enough for it. Plus, he's an absolutely terrific lecturer. If you want to laugh about the Protestant Reformation, look no further. Would give him 10 stars if I could.

The best professor I have ever had. He always made the class fun and welcoming and I looked forward every week to attend his seminar even though it was online. I am so sad is class is over now. He pushes you to do your best but is very sympathetic. He makes you feel proud of yourself and builds you up so much. I learned so much and loved it.

Kevin is kind, funny, and always willing to help students when they need clarification or direction. He is a very tough grader and you really have to work for your grades with him, but it is possible to do well. Overall he's a pretty chill guy and is extremely approachable.

Kevin is the best prof I have ever had. He genuinely cares about you, and wants you to do your best. I have never had a prof be so caring and sympathetic. Get ready to read and write papers, but he makes it all fun and interesting. Go to lecture, do the readings, and you should be fine.
