Made class fun. His examples and stories were hysterical yet informative at the same time. Don't take his class if you don't want to do a little work, but if you don't then why are you at school anyway?

The guy is a red diaper baby, full blown Communist. He is hysterical, though, if you can put up with the socialist pap that he spews. If you argue with him intelligently he seems to give you a better grade.

I look forward to this class two times each week. He is smart and funny and I've learned a great deal about the subject matter. I would look for him again!

He is funny and hates capitalism. But the work is not that easy but in a format that you learn a lot from. He teaches very important terms and theories that you will refer to for a long time. If you are a social studies or humanities major,he is a must.

this guy is funny as hell, has a great sense of humor, i do think he likes to drink alot, i mean anyone with the name Sullivan must drink alot, anyway, if you take some notes, doing the readings when he assigns them which is like once a month you'll do ok

very funny teacher! as long as you read ur notes and listen carefully in class, u'll do fine. make sure u read everything he asks u to read. very interesting teacher and makes class worth while.

This guy is awesome. He curses a lot and makes sociology a reality for you. Really interesting. You have to be able to handle his harsh humor, but I only believe he does it in order to get students attention. He wants students to participate.

BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD. I ACTUALLY LOOK FORWARD TO ATTENDING HIS CLASS TWICE A WEEK. HIS HARSH HUMOR IS JAW DROPPING AND HYSTERICALLY FUNNY. RECCOMEND HIM TO ANYONE THAT IS LOOKING FOR AN INTERESTING CLASS THAT I SFUN TOO.

I took him 2 years ago and I still go back and make references to his lectures and old class notes. AWESOME!! He really tries to prepare you for a 4 yr. school. As a matter of fact, he is a bit harder than professors I have had at my new colege. Take him, its worth every penny.

The best professor at this school. He is so interesting that you literally hang on to his every word. If you're a slacker or don't care about school, stay away. But, if you want to get something out of the money you spend on education, take Prof. Sullivan...money well spent.

Honestly he is a good professor and teaches well, but is does not know when to draw the line. He is very crtical to his students and may seem ****. If you can't tolerate things dont take this guy

Prof.Sullivan is the best prof in Bergen. There are a lot of assignments and must read Mcdonaldization book and do a paper on it which is like 20 pages. Test are difficult and a lot of essays. If you work your ass off, you will get an A. Hes funny and makes class very interesting. Time goes fast.

If you have him for an 8 am class u will not fall asleep.. hes always cracking jokes... makes u take a lot of notes and do long papers but i mean it'll help u with the tests and stuff... this guy is funny and thats an understatement... he makes really good facial expressions lol and calls his kids mistakes but its all FUNNY!! i love this class..

Sullivan is the a great professor. He is straight foward and extremely funny. At the end of every class you will leave peeing in your pants. The test aren't that bad, but you do have to study. The papers are cake if you read the material, and the material is easy reading. I recommend this teacher to any one who wants to have fun and an easy A!

this guy is a good teacher. he makes makes learning fun. however its not a joke class. there are papers and test, but its all good. he's teaches in a way that makes you want to learn (no joke) and doing the homework is easy stuff.

Totally funny makes it worth going to class. you do have to writ litte papers for some home work assignments but tey are easy!! He us a great teacher but to get a good grade you have to work a bit not a easy sit back and get an A or B type of class.What you do is what you get. GREAT GUY!

His class is very interesting! He is funny and you will definitley laugh. However, he can be sarcastic and sometime even a little rude. His tests are hard, but managable. This is not a "if you came to class you'll get an A" type of deal. You need to study and pay attention. I worked hard and ended up with a B+.

I took every class this guy teaches. Yeah hes funny but hes also freaking brilliant. Dont undersestimate him. If yuou pay attention he can change your life. This guy taught me how to think. No hes not good looking but hes so smart Id do him. I love this guy. But if youre afraid of a little work, avoid him.

He is the best prof ever, or that Bergens going to ever have. Hes intelligent, great sense of humor, and is realistic. He doesnt **** around and talk to you like a 5 year old. So all these other people that dont like him, their losers. dont listen to them, hes really an awesome teacher. You also learn a lot from his class.

At first I thought this professor was rude and obnoxious but as the semester went on. He was very interesting and very funny. I guess when I say he was rude and obnoxious is because he tells you like it is. He does not sugar code anything. I recommend this professor, you will learn a lot just be prepared to write a lot. Sullivan is tounge in cheek. He plays devils advocate, and gives you real life examples to challenge and educate you. If you're taking his manner as crude and obnoxious, you're missing the point. He made social sciences fun, an he got me interested in learning.

Do not take me seriously with his jokes. In the class, u do couple papers about 2 pages each assigntment. he gives out a review sheet before test WHICH IS NIIICE!! lol TAKE CLASS!

He is intelligent,great sense of humor always cracking jokes and makes you want to attend class every time.He gives you real life examples to challenge and educate you.if your taking him the wrong way then your missing the point.You will learn so much from him on so many levels.Great man I highly recommend him to anyone.

you are going to learn a lot in his class to be honest you have to take notes each class and read some lectures and for every tests you are going to be fine. He is a really good Professor.

It has been about 12 years since I was lucky enough to be in Prof. Sullivan's class. Never forgot what I learned, and those lessons continue to serve me well today. He is by far the best - what all teachers should be. One can't invent passion about a subject, but Sullivan had it. I had to come back even today and say, THANKS!

Best Teacher EVER! Hes awesome, easy class, alot of stuff on his review sheet but he teaches everything good and isnt afraid to say anything. Take him its worth it. He got mad at me for getting an 85 ona test...cares about people who try...im lazy and just take notes

this is the first class i ever actually enjoyed going to. He is a great professor but you do have to do some work. He grades very well and he is the funniest prof. i ever had, HILARIOUS. I highly reccomend his class.

This man is a genius. Very well thought out arguments, extremely insightful. One of the best minds at bergen. He is also very ideological, but i cant pin down his specific philosophy. Take him if you like to learn.

He has foul language, but he definitely commands the subject matter!! Get the textbook, take good notes, and use them to fill out the test review sheets and you will be fine. Also assigns a book + test on it, read it and DO the paper (extra credit, but I recommend). I got an A, but it's A LOT more work than your average community college class.

His class was pretty hard, but if you did all of your work you should be fine. One of the best professors I had so far in my school career. Knows his stuff and knows how to explain it well. Down side--Always late!!! Bad mouth, but fun and intersting at times, but sometimes made people feel like sh.t. I would recommend hi for those who want to learn
