He is very helpful and answers all questions. He's not going to hand an A to you on a golden platter though, you have to actually study and earn it. He moves fast and doesn't tell stupid stories to take up time.

He is a very, very good math teacher. He's very helpful, and reviews as much as you need him to - even right before quizzes and tests. I absolutely recommend Mr. T for math.

Hes a really nice and caring teacher. He does go fast at times (which I sort of like because it makes you pay attention and not slack off) but if hes going too fast for you, then ask him a question about what he is doing. He will ALWAYS answer your questions. Not intimidating at all and never makes you feel bad.

He's ok.Goes 2 fast and dsnt let u work probs out on the board.instead he just does it all himself.a nice guy and u can tell he really wants u to pass and does great reviews but i think he needs to rethink his teaching style. he reviews his tests and quizzes before every test. now that i've taken other math teachers i miss him!

I wish all math classes were this enjoyable. Mr "T" doesn't waste your time with bs. he teaches effectively and made calculus completely doable. Took this over the summer, showed up every day, did the homework, and got an A. I had 4 summer classes so I would HIGHLY recommend him if you have a busy schedule and are scared of math.

Crystal Clear, tells you what's on the test. Homework is basically the test and quizzes. Explain very clearly. I hated math with a passion until I took his class. Although his pet peeve is students talking in class with each other. But other than that, he's the best at what he does. Very very educated. I suggest him to a great deal.

The most EFFECTIVE math professor ever! He uses the time in class very efficiently and does not go off in silly tangents like other professors do. He gives credit on exams when work is shown. Too bad he's not teaching Math 130 next semester, cause I'd definitely take him again

His teaching is clear and easy to understand. Classroom etiquite is a bit High school. Hands out quizzes at end of class to take roll. So your not going anywhere! But if you need someone to walk you though it he is the man.

Took him for Math 20 & actually learned. Was able to advance to Math 40 and again he makes learning fun, and more simplistic for those of us that are more English or Creative thinkers... I actually didn't mind going to class and did not dread the assignments. Every other odd is a wonderful thing.

Best math class i ever taken he explains problems very clear and solves them with you. his tests are very easy he reviews before every test so study the review guide and you will do fine, he gives out quizes every day too. I cannot believe I am saying this (since Math is not my forte) but, out of all my classes this semester, this one is my FAVORITE. Mr T. was MEANT to teach math, definitely his calling! I love the way the class is setup. The nightly quizzes help you retain the information for the tests. He is very likeable I am never bored in class.

He is very clear in his explanations, adds a little humor here and there to keep the class engaged. He is extremely helpful. Someone mentioned he found his "calling" teaching math, I totally agree. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I love taking my math courses with Mr. T!! He is awesome in every way!! I just wished he was teaching Math 080. I really needed that again!! Professor Takeuchi does explain the material well. He does give quizzes every class session and worth 5 points. Exams he will give a review on a exam day it will be similar as the review just have to study. Have to do work shop that's 2% that will make a big different on your grade then that his AWESOME!!!!

I really like he's teaching style and is very clear on what he is teaching. Very helpful if needed and is very understanding if you have a situation. Take alot of quizzes but fairly easy and reviews before taking the quiz in the beginning of class. Those quizzes are very helpful and makes you understand the material better. Must do DLA & homework.

Mr. T is probably one of the best Math Professor's around right now. He is passionate about teaching his students effectively - making sure that everyone, even the people who are terrible with math gets it! I took Prof T in 2014 for math 20 & 40. After 2 years of college I can still say Prof T is on of my favorite teachers. He explains things clearly, goes slow so you can follow along, and provides tons of examples. He even gives out study guides for tests which is a huge help. He made math my favorite subject :) Wish he taught all my math classes!

Mr. T is THE BEST Math professor! He is very clear, will go over a problem as many times as you need him without getting frustrated, very patient. He is also very fair. We need mor5e like him! Sad that he only teaches up to Math 40

He doesn't rush through lessons. He's a real gifted professor. I took math with Paul Yi and failed miserably. I retook it with Professor T and passed with a B. He goes step by step. I took math 20 and 40 with professor T., and. I am so glad that I did. His teaching style is old school which I prefer. I hated my mathlab which another professor used. Since I am a visual person, I like how he gives a lot of examples and explains thoroughly. He can be funny at times. If youre struggling elsewhere, take him.

His structure for the class is exactly how I wish every math class was. He doesn't require a projector or online math lab which makes it a tad bit old school, but in the best of ways. He writes every single type of problem on the board and shows all his work in a great pace. By the time you reach the Review you're good to go and the testsreviews.

No mymathlab with this class and I loved it. He explains EVERYTHING and doesn't make you feel stupid for asking, even if he just answered what you are asking. The homework is tough, but that was the only practice you get and the on campus mathlab helps a lot too. I wish he taught statistics also.

MATH115 Mr. T is so dope and makes the class easy to follow and encourages questions in class. After every example he takes a pause and asks if anyone needs any clarification and doesn't mind if we stop him while explaining something. He does reviews for the exams, they're exactly like the test, if you understand the review you'll pass the exams.

He provides his personal e-mail so you are able to contact him whenever you are having a problem I have a lot to say but I'm limited at 350 characters. MATH040. This poor man tolerated so much of my whining in emails about math problems. His explanations are straight to the point, shows how to get answers in simplest terms. Stoic, dry humor. Great professor. I haven't taken math in a very long time(since high-school) and I always got D's, so going into this class I was very anxious, but Mr. T is one hell of a teacher! If you don't understand something, he's very attentive at the end of each problem asking if you have any questions. There's 5 tests and attendance quizzes also a thing.

Love professor T! I struggle with math and I passed with a B! He gives extra credit for class participation which pays off at the end of the semester. For exams if you do half of it right he gives you credit for what you did right rather than give you a 0, which helps. During lecture he isn't afraid to stop and help any student who has questions.

Just took His class last fall and there are many math professors out there who can do their lectures but Professor Takeuchi's lectures were not monotone like some other professors and are much easier for me to understand. He will stop to explain anything if you ask, Great and Wonderful Professor!

Great Prof, if you are at Cypress College beware Math 115 is such a weird class, lots of word problems, its got finance one chapter than matrices the next then graphing...it's all over the place and the end chapters get really weird. Prof T does his best to explain everything well. Quizzes basically every class. Participation is 3% of your grade.

I needed this class for requirement so I decided to take this class with Professor T. I wouldn't say this class is easy or hard. If you show up for lecture then you should pass his class. There are quizzes at the end of classes. He always do study guide before exam.If you do your homeworks and study then you should pass.

Amazing, it's not easy but the way he breaks it down will set you up for success unlike many professors in this school. Take him if you want to completely understand concepts of college algebra. This year's lecture was a bit fast, with 1-3 hw per lecture, but he understands how to change tests/what he's teaching in order to help his students succeed. 100% taking next sem.

Professor T is the best math professor I have ever had. He gives such simple but well-explained lectures during class, quizzes at the end—which he goes over with you in the beginning—and his reviews are so similar to the test that he sets you up for success. The homework isn't horrible either; just don't push it to the last minute. TAKE HIM!

Worth for Trig. 5, 15 question exams, then cumulative final. You only know your grade in the class after each test b/c the 2-3 weeks of homework & associated tests are due on the same day. Does a review before each test, including final, that saves your grade. Explains concepts well, and cuts the fat, except the occasional higher math to prepare.

Professor Takeuchi was one of the greatest math professors that I have ever had. There were five exams with an additional final. If you do the study guides, you should be able to do perfectly fine on the exams. Make sure you do your best on the first few exams (chapter 1-3) to give yourself a cushion, as the last exams are tougher in material.

Professor T is actually the goat. He is really nice and is willing to accommodate your needs as long as you are reasonable. Lectures are long, but his normal behavior kinda makes the topics he teaches a bit more enjoyable. For the exams, make sure you review and use the study guides and you'll be chillin. His drip is also top notch.

He is one of the best professors you will EVER find in math. His study guides are EXACTLY like the exams in terms of how to solve it. THE BEST MATH PROFESSOR EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He actually takes his time to make sure that students not only understand how to do the work but are also comfertable with each topic before moving on.
