Kevin KIK ASS! He is so nice and so funny. He doesn't make you feel dumb or useless. He actaully teache students how to write...I mean common, our essays are about what makes a good and horriable bf/gf now if that's not interesting what is. Also we talk about right or wrongs but relating to strip clubs! LOL he talk about god alot lol and pirates!

Definitely a teacher you want. He is really helpful and would be happy to help you if you needed it.

Teaches about liberal bias in a conservativly bias way. He won't ask you questions if you think differently then him. His essays aren't essays at all, they don't follow any proper format...they're easier though. If you're liberal or NDP this prof. isnt for you.

Lots of reading and heavier homework. He is a serious professor. A little bit mighty but very industrious, work hard, honest man. Through his course, you will get information as much as expect, and will know about North America political culture.

Well mannered, organized, & helpful teacher. Has debates with other students, to get class involved. Very respectful towards other students' opinions. Assignments aren't difficult & if needed he will give you extra time to complete assignments. I don't know about other comments here, but he doesn't have favourites & completely FAIR. Enjoyed EAC493.

Professor's duty is tell the student the truth, but not to indoctrinate so called "truth". If a "truth" can not be criticized, it is more terrible than lies. It is unfortunate that Seneca lacks such clear thinkers like Mr. Topalian. The topics in the course are a straight eye openers no other way to explain it. Good professor, however, he does have conservative bias. His lacks concrete theories to support his views and gets most of his information from fox news or more recently SUN channel. He has a conservative bias, ironically he considers himself open minded. Most of his information is from newspapers and his arguments are riddled with contradictions.

Yes he is a conservative, but his main point of the course is to get his students to look at both sides of an issue. I would take another one of his courses he is a great prof.

He is a very good teacher, Delivers course content clearly and we can see that he actually cares about what he teaches. Not a cake walk though.. alot of writing but its not that bad if you are interested in the topics. Only bad thing about this class is the blog tool we used was a bit annoying and inconvenient.

EAC493 is a great opportunity to learn important topics in our society including media bias towards homelessness, Aids, Malaria, race. Prof Topalian supplements the course with lots of articles and documentaries. He is kind, knowledgeable and makes course material understandable for students.Worth taking his class!

One of the best professors I had, he is very helpful. The course is freaking awesome, I can guarantee that you will be learning bunch of new things. Some of my Muslim fellows might not like it, but if you become patient you will see all the reasoning. Overall its a awesome course to take!!

He was honestly of my greatest professors that I had in my first year of College. He has a great mind set and has many great connections related to the topic. He certainly made the topic Interesting. He is a relatively easy with marks as well. A strong recommendation if you're a motivated student. He also cares deeply about his students.

Inspirational, very passionate in his views. Definitely take this class if you want to broaden your horizons or learn more about non-PC POVS. Also great for politically-neutral people who want to know more about the world. Word of warning, there is weekly homework (blog posts) and 1500 word essays. They are really straightforward though.

Note: If you passed EAC150, you should have enough writing skills to pass this course. Also, the textbook is CHEAP compare to other literature class, only 10 dollars.

I took his new course Scandal this past semester and I really enjoyed it. I learned so much and it definitely challenged me. I would highly reccommend that others take this class. There are three essays for the course but as long as you're present and keep up with the readings and video clips you will be perfectly fine.

There are 3 essays, but they are more so research assignments that he provides great guidance on. Controversial topics are focused on during class and often the unpopular opinions on them are discussed. Overall, he's a passionate professor that cares about his students and helping them succeed in the course.

Professor Topalian, taught a very challenging course called "What in the world is going on?". This required him to present a very honest and a rational perspective of the topics discussed. His lectures in the class have influenced me strongly. After a semester of lectures I can say that it's been enlightening.

He is a great professor. His Scandal was amazing. I learned so much, and he taught it in a way that I developed my own opinion. It is a lot of work cause you have responses and homework but it is worth it. Had I not have had other things going on I would have done better but he is probably one of best I've had.

easy marker, whole topics are about global warming, bias on man, terrorism. he is flexible for the due day, if you can't submit on time, there is not a big problem, you can ask an extension.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Professor Kevin Topalian was by far the best teacher I have ever had in Seneca College. In one word, hes awesome.

I think Kevin Topalian is one of the best teacher of Seneca College. He use most updated teaching technique. He has almost all of the good skills to be a great teacher. obviously, I will recommend this teacher.

I had the pleasure to be part of one of Kevin's last classes in the winter 2019 semester. He was one of the best professors I ever had. I took his class on a whim. There is so much thanks I give to Kevin and his extraordinary teaching methods. He literally pulled me out of thinking this extremely one sided way that is really flawed in reality.
