He's a great guy overall. Very helpful. Make sure you come to class everyday. There's always something going on and you don't want to lose in-class activity points. Easy class if you as long as you meet him halfway.

Kevin is real good professor that would tell form the start where you strenght and weakness lays.He never tells student that it is impossible for them not to pass his class unless your absence. Remind him about captain superman that would keep him on his feet. The people who are talking about Triffany. She is hot I wish that she was my wife.

Kevin is an awesome teacher! He is mindbogglingly intelligent and works really hard to get his students too do extreme analytical thinking. The great works class itself is hard but if you do the readings and come to class you will be fine. Just put in a great deal of effort because Kevin expects it. He sets very high standards for his students!

Kevin is very helpful and you'll enjoy his class if you try to be responsible for your classwork. Understanding of personal emergencies and always gave me a second chance. Sometimes very serious though, & impatient of ppl's bs-especially if they've been jerking him around all semester. Nice guy, pay attention, act like an adult and you'll do fine.

Class was interesting, but teacher is very hard at everything.. grading, participation, etc. He graded participation on how "intellectual" the comments were, when I thought he should of graded on if people were trying to speak up or not. He's sophisticated and knowledgable about all the material, just a little too hard on everyone. Overall he is ok

To the person below, you are ignorant. We have two disabled people in our class and he is MORE than willing to help. This teacher is AWESOME! I failed ENG132, and have him for 135 and I honestly love english now. He is a great teacher and a good person. There is about 5 projects; stay on your toes and you'll do just fine, I have an A!

One of the best teachers I have ever had at this school. There is a lot of work but, that is to be expected in this sort of class. He is very clear, has visible enthusiasm for the subject, and makes classtime fun.

Kevin is the best teacher for english! He is very clear on what he expects from you as a student and what he expects out of your work. I loved that fact that he gave us a very detailed syllabus with a day to day calendar so even if we missed a day we knew what was due! This class was a lot of work but I learned a lot in the end and got a B!

I took Trovini for Eng 132 in the fall of 2011 and he was awesome! He is very clear of what is expected of you and is very helpful, does not leave you confused on any topic! Definitely recommended!!

This teacher is awesome!! He is very clear on what he expects of you and your work in his class. Must be willing to write and brainstorm. Do the work and he will do all he can to help you. I did a total of about 10, 2-3 page papers in a fall semester and a final paper of 5-7 pages. Very easy and fun course.

His expectations were a tad ridiculous. I am an A student but barely got a B in the class. He wanted participation everyday and the amount of reading is stupid. Only take if you are required by the Honors Program. If not, run.

Best teacher ever

If you are planning on going to grad school or attending a university take Trovini. He is very nice although he does expect alot out of you. This class will make you a better writer. If your looking for an easy A or B this isnt the class for you.

This guy is the freakin man. although he does give a decent amount of work. He is a really cool guy and has Google Glass. He is somewhat funny but its kind of a boring class...but still one of my fave teachers and easy!

If you are looking for an "easy A" professor, move along. I really enjoyed Kevin's class and it definitely will challenge you but in the end you will learn so much more than just english from this professor. I highly recommend him if you are willing to work for your education. I feel like he really helped prepare me for future college courses.

Truly an amazing teacher! Loves what he does and is really organized. He will always help you on hard assignments and make sure you get at least a 37 on one of your inclass writing assignments so you won't fail the course. Good Luck

Kind of condescending, didn't enjoy him too much. Class was a total drag. An A is not a piece of cake. Expect to get a B if you are an average student. There is no easy grading from this Notre Dame graduate.

this class does have an even amount of work, BUTT for me it was clear and simple. if youre lazy and dnt do hw then move along because you will fail. he is extremely kind and helpful wenever. hes energetic and organized and you will learn how to write good essays. id take him again any day. again, if youre looking for an easy A, forget it.

Kevin is amazing he is super organized and consistent which is really important for me to keep interest and focus. The class itself is basic and not fun but he made it a class I actually went to every day. Kevin, as he likes to be called, is a pretty good professor. He's really corny and tends to get off topic a lot. There is a lot of writing in this class; definitely not a blow off. You have to use his formatting too. He's always there if you need help, and he genuinely does care for his students. I'd recommend taking his class to someone.

Best English professor I've ever had. I wish I could have him for every English class. He goes above and beyond in his lesson plans and always keeps the class engaged. He's strict on attendance, and can be a hard grader, but he gives a lot of feed back and is always available during the week for office hours. TAKE HIM, He's literally the best!

Despite the amount of homework given and the effort put into the papers you have to type Trovini is a really good teacher. He gives good feedback and is such an easy grader. Homework is due every single day class is held. Doesn't care for you if you don't try. His class reminds me of highschool from all of the papers he gives. An easy A if you try.

His class is a lot of writing, but he makes it so easy! He gives you rubrics and tells you exactly what he wants. You have lots of extra credit opp. Your mid and final are essays. Best professor I ever had. There is a lot of work in this class with high expectations from Trovini but he makes everything easy for you. He says he's a harsh grader on the first day of class but if you put in a little effort to do your assignments it is impossible to fail his class. He's so funny and charismatic that I would show up just for him.

He gives awesome feedback, and he's kind of a nerd so he tends to go off topic sometimes but he still makes sure you have all the information you need for all the assignments. Overall he's really nice and really cares about helping you out and making sure you know how to fix your mistakes. Can be tough sometimes but his classes are pretty easy.

Amazing professor! He was actually very interesting that I took him twice ENG 131 as well as ENG 135. Treated with respect keeps the class engaged I remember always literally having 30 min conversations after class about anything. He presents himself with a great amount of confidence and he will CHALLENGE you so be prepared!

Awesome professor! Actually was so awesome I took him for both 131 and 135. Hilarious and enjoyable class. You have to be the type of student who will be on top of their work with trovini and try to limit your absences. Not an easy A but definitely an easy B if you work hard enough. He's hilarious though, no question about that lol.

Mr. Trovini is an excellent teacher! He has a great sense of humor, very easy going but dont let that fool you. He will challenge you, and expects a lot from his students but balances that with being accessible, as well as willing to go out of his way to make sure you succeed. You can tell he really enjoys what he does. Phenomenal teacher!

The class was online, but i wish i was able to have him in person, he seems like such an amazing teacher, and overall person. you can tell he is very nice and funny, and his class was not stressful at all. pretty straightforward and easy. do assignments on time and you'll be fine. Mr. Trovini is very particular with his classes, you will enjoy a lot having a class with him. He is also well developed in his topics, knows a lot.

Great professor overall. A lot of reading to do but he makes sure his students are informed about each assignment. He is also very enthusiastic about his lectures and is very high energy.

He is a very nice teacher; however, he will give you a lot of work and papers to write. i have been writing essays every week where i got really annoyed because of the amount of repetition i was doing. the good thing, he was a funny person and a fun professor.

Trovini is a cool guy that seems to actually care about and have a passion for teaching. The lectures are not complex and if you are decent at writing essays and following direcrions, you'll do fine. Responds quickly to emails, though he is a little vague with them. IMO the lectures didn't help too much but were 10% of class grade. A solid prof.

He does care for his students and provides extra credit at the end of the semester. I would suggest taking this class online or hybrid because he doesn't really teach much during the lectures, mostly rambles. I could've easily maintained my grade of an A without going to any lecture. But he's great and not difficult to deal with.

He's a very funny and nice teacher. If you had any questions about the assignments, he would over-explain just to ensure the question was answered, which helped a lot. I will miss him as a professor.
