Kevin Walling is the most helpful professor ever and continues to help students even outside of the classroom, if you're interested in furthering your justice studies career with law school. He respects students, has boundaries and guidelines, does not allow cell phone use and is informative.

He does randomly pick students for answers, but you can always take a second and google it, he has no problem with that. Just don't say "I don't know," he hates that.

I have had the pleasure of being in Kevin Walling's classes from the get go. I started in his Jus 104 class and have had him 5 times since then and each class has been an eye opening experience. It is difficult for me to choose which class I liked the most. Best professor at Grand Canyon University, Hands Down.

Lots of powerpoint lectures but makes them interesting! Very funny personality. Only homework is an occasional essay. Calls on students during the lectures but is very helpful if you aren't sure of the answer, just don't say idk. I got full participation even though I rarely went! Great class!

Kevin Wallstreet is not a man He is a God among men Grand Canyon University is a religious school that claims to look up to God in the Christian faith, however, little did they know, God was on campus all along instructing criminal justice courses. You must pay attention and be awake for his class because he will not hesitate to call on you.

I do sports for GCU and so I always missed his class, as long as you do the work you honestly don't need to show up for class, but definitely do the make up participation. Honestly, can come off real arrogant at times but it's worth putting up with for how easy he makes his classes. He wants students to pass, but will show no mercy if you don't come to class and make stupid choices. He does do the socratic style if talking in class makes you anxious, but it's worth it for how easy he makes his classes.

Walling can come off arrogant and harsh, but that's just his personality. Get over it and try to learn the most from him that you can. He will go over a presentation of court cases each day, which help with assignments. Participation is usually a worksheet or quiz, very easy. The memorandums and papers are much harder. He will make you laugh hard.

I really enjoyed Mr. Walling's class. He made his lectures interesting, and tells you exactly how he wanted the papers and memorandums done. He does have a different teaching style and will call you out and can make you feel dumb but it also motivates you to do more research and try and listen better in his class.

I had Walling my last semester at GCU before I graduated and I am sad to only have taken one of his classes. His classroom environment is exciting and easy to learn in. He might get a little carried away in class but it's honestly hilarious. His feedback is gold and he provides plenty of good connections/internships to the class.

Many do not like him because he will call on you randomly and ask both easy and difficult questions, so if you are super antisocial, I would be aware. He is strict on the phone policy and sometimes cold calls but it's not in a mean spirited way, he just wants to hear your opinion. I would take this class again if I could. My favorite prof ever!

Professor Walling is awesome. He is super funny and engages with the whole class. He makes the lectures easy going but will call on students so make sure you are paying attention. Overall great professor.
