This class was so easy and he taught the material well. He is a great teacher and his slides for class don't overload you with material. It doesn't take long to prepare for a test either. I recommend him for MUS 121.

Fall 08: Easiest A I have ever gotten. Class is actually interesting once you get into it. Easy test with bonus questions. 30 pt extra credit paper. Need I say more? How to make an A: Don't have more than 5 absences. Study at least for 10 minutes before the test.

Mr. Woosley was an amazing teacher. I had him Fall 2008 and everything came easy. I have taken music for most of my life, but it is not my major. Even for my friends in the class who hadn't learned music, it was easy. I would definitely recommend Mr. Woosley for anyone wanting to take MUS 121.

His class is extremely easy. Not only is attendance not mandatory, but he puts all of the information online for easy access. The tests are ridiculously easy and always include bonus questions. He knows the material but his public speaking could use a little work, overall pretty good though.

Kevin is a great teacher. His tests might get a bit tricky at points, but never too much to handle. He gives study guides for every test, with practice questions online that resembles real test questions. He also offered a bonus project at the end. Take his class for MUS 121

Mr. Woosely's first name should be Awesome. This class is great. It's not like Music Appreciation...trumpets...Mozart...blahblah...it is actually very interesting!! Not to mention it is a very easy class. I made it to most of the classes--8:00--yeah. Extra credit is given many times but the real gift is learning the history of music! Rock on.

Easy class, if you have a background in music you could probably skip the first two weeks of class and a day here and there as well but still ace the tests. Concert reports are really the only challenge, make sure you got to a concert early on and choose one that's interesting. Don't got to a concert that's playing Westergaard.

Very fun and interesting class! Lots of interactive teaching devices (aka youtube) to get his points across and use for test questions. Attendance was not mandatory but coming to class can give you bonus points as well as points on the test, not to mention that he makes it worth it!! Very easy tests but you have to do some work on listening parts.

Really easy class. I didn't go to class very often, but it was interesting when I did. The only downside is that Kevin puts some questions on the test that you have to have been in class to answer. This isn't really a problem though since he gives out a ridiculous amount of bonus points. If you can't come out with an A+, youre doing something wrong

Easy easy easy! Just one assessment online each week and class once a week. The only in-class test is the midterm. Go to 6 concerts, but you don't have to write anything about them. He's really easy to get along with and just wants to help you understand the material and get a good grade. Should be a GPA booster for anyone! A+!

Gives good bit of bonus questions on a his quizzes/tests. The out of class online quizzes count for more than the midterm and final, and they arnt timed.

Attendance is not mandatory but he give out a code in class that is worth about 10 pts on the weekly assessments so it basically is mandatory if you want that 10 pts. It is an easy and fun class though. I would retake again if possible.

Wanted an easy A so I took Woosley. The online assessments aren't that bad. Just do them ahead of time. There are four concerts to attend. I would suggest getting them out of the way early. He's very thorough and informative in class. Overall, I think it's a great easy class to take.

Woosley presents the material in an interesting and funny way; while the information can get a little boring, this class is an easy A IF you go to class. This class is so so easy. All you have to do is make sure you go to class so you can take the pop quizzes and do the assessments that are due once a week before class. They're all easy. Best MUS 121 at UA! He was EXTREMELY helpful...answered emails very quickly. Attendance was not mandatory but he gives random pop quizzes during class and material from the class were on the assessments. All work was done on Blackboard and we had to go to 3 concerts. Enjoyed this class and was very thankful to have Mr. Woosley as my professor.

As of Spring 2013, Woosley does NOT take attendance in MUS 121 and is AWESOME. If you put forth minimal effort, it's an easy A. Go to class through bc you'll need that info for the assessments

Dr. Woosley is extremely nice! Attendance is not mandatory, but it's very important you go because the material he say in class is important material on the assessments. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities as well that you probably won't need, because the class is easy. He is a very nice instructor I HIGHLY recommend him. Very helpful too!

The nicest guy I've EVER met. Took this class at 8am, and it was actually enjoyable. He gives us some of the assessments' answers (which aren't hard) during class. Woosley is an amazing guy. You can tell he is driven by his strong Christian values. His class is a GPA booster. All of his tests are online (open-book, open-notes). He gives simple projects every other week. You only have to go to two concerts and write two concert reports (which are very easy too). I came out of this class with a 101.

Show up, take notes. Use these notes to take your quizzes and write the short essays, get an A+. He makes class interesting, even on a Friday at 8am. He is also one of the most genuinely helpful professors you will find at the university, an all around great guy.

Dr. Woosley is a helpful teacher and he really loves music. He gives information about homework in the class so it will be easy to do homework. Dr. Woosley has it figured out. He is one of the few models of true teachers still around. Rather than keeping students distant and focusing his time and energy on developing his professional piano career, he definitely puts his students first and has no regrets about it.

I knew nothing about piano walking into his class, and he taught at an understandable, but brisk pace. WOOSLEY IS A G. Rounded up my grade last semester. Nothing bad to say about him at all. Emails back in 6 minutes, gives extra credit, is funny in class. You don't even have to pay attention if you don't want to but you have to at least go so you can get credit for in class work. Music isn't my favorite but he makes it easier and fun.

I loved Dr. Woosley! I would take any class this guy teaches. I saw his reviews and planned my semester around his class and it was a great decision. Homework and lecture is easy for a 3 credit hour class. "Hardest" thing for people is showing up once a week and doing the one concert for the semester. He will help you with the online tests if you email him questions. Literally easiest A+ you will get unless you skip class or don't care to try. Nice break from engineering classes.

Kevin Woosley is nice, enthusiastic, and a great speaker. The class is a joke, as your grade is only based on 12 open book tests and two concert attendances. You also get 3 credit hours for a class that only requires about 30 minutes of effort per week. Definitely take this class if you want an easy fine art.

I had an issue when one of my assignments did not submit during the deadline, and he was very understanding. He is a solid choice for MUS 121. A true Gem!

Attendance is technically mandatory because of the in class assignments given randomly, but the lectures are so enjoyable that it makes going to an 8 am Friday not too bad. Kevin is a great person and cares a lot about students. Online tests are very easy and word for word out of the e-book.

Dr. Woosley was always an enjoyable class. You can tell he cares about music a lot and wants it to rub off on the students. If you take him, be prepared for a lot of dad jokes though. The online test every week is straight from the book, and attendance is mandatory. However, you could not show up, and still make an A if you do well on the tests.

Amazing professor! You can really tell that he is passionate about music, and does a lot to get the class equally as interested. The class basically is online quizzes once a week and a few in-class assignments. As long as the quizzes are done this class is an easy A. We have to go to a concert and write a 500+ word report, but it's crazy easy.

Dr. Woosley was absolutely amazing this semester. His lectures were entertaining and fun while still educational. No homework except for a few papers (easy 100s) and weekly open-book tests. This class will only take about an hour a week and is a good way to get fine arts credits.

Wonderful professor! I have had him for several classes over five semesters, and he is flat out one of the best. I have met few professors who care more about me as a person than about how I do in their class, but Dr. W is one!

Weekly tests and the final exam are word for word out of the textbook which you are allowed to use so they are easy 100%. The lecture responses questions are in his lecture videos but you can just skip to them, he also grades extremely easy on them (more for completion). Extremely caring and nice person!! Easiest MUS121 teacher by far!!!

I loved this class so much. I wish the pandemic didnt exist so I couldve had him in person. He really cares about his students and it very easy to talk to. Its a great class. I took it as an elective and I know nothing about music but finished with a 98.

Woosley is the best professor for MUS 121. You have tests every week and lecture responses however they are very easy. The test is right from the book which he wrote so it an easy 100. He is a very funny guy and grades quickly (easy grader). If you put just a little effort in you will pass with an A. Definitely an easy A

Dr. Kevin Woosley is one of my favorite professors by far. He not only cares about his students but is so understanding to every situation. He genuinely wants to get to know you and his lectures are so much fun. I would 10000% recommend taking him. I passed with an easy A+!

Dr W. is truly the best professor I've ever encountered. I looked forward to watching his video lectures each week. First online class I've had that really made the weekly check ins fun and exciting. Dr. Woosley was really sweet and understanding when it came to school. Class was not mandatory and was mostly just for conversation which was nice! You have a week to watch the lecture, read the textbook, and take the test which was really easy. You also have two short papers. He is willing to help you with anything and is very approachable.

This was a super easy class, and Professor Woosley was great. You could tell he really cared about his students, and he structured the class so it was almost impossible not to make a high grade.

Super fun and easy class. He's really enthusiastic about what he teaches and makes the lectures enjoyable. You have to do a lecture response each week so you do have to watch the lectures. One test a week but they're super easy points. Two papers too, just don't wait until the last minute.

K Woos is the best! This class is a super easy A but you have fun and learn a lot while getting it. He cowrote the textbook we use so it's really easy to read and even has jokes written in it! Tests are open book, he doesn't want you to just memorize stuff, you can tell he's passionate about music and wants you to get something out of the class.

Good Professor, unfortunately gives out a lot of test and assignments. A lot of test but open note, open textbook and allow you to take your time and come back to it if you don't want to finish right away. He cares a lot but make sure to go to class to get those assignments done since they're usually only in person for that assigned hour.

This class is an easy A, but doesn't mean you can't learn a lot. I took it just to fulfill my art credit, but actually got really into the course. Woosley really cares about his students and is always there after class if you need help with literally anything (even if you just need someone to rant too).

Most of the grades were from "tests" but you get 2 drop grades and they're all open book so it's a really easy A. He's a really fun professor and is very passionate about what he teaches, so he never had a boring lecture. You don't have to show up to every class but if you don't you'll end up missing a good time. Great guy and a great professor :)

Woosley is top tier. This man made an otherwise unbearable class amazing. On top of that he is hilarious. He wrote the textbook for the class. You don't really need to read it, but highly recommend as you hear his voice in it. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he randomly has assignments given out in class that are a large part of your grade.

Dr. Woosley is amazing. He cares so much about his students even when he has 400 of them at once. Lectures are honestly very interesting and I learned a lot about music. Assignments are open-book and the projects are very easy. In-class assignments that count for your grade matter too, and he only gives the prompts in class. Great guy overall!

Probably the easiest class I've ever taken (I took it as a summer online class), and everything is open-book/open-note for tests, and all the answers are taken from the book. Would recommend to anyone looking for an easy FA credit with a professor that truly cares about his students.

He helped me through piano despite me not being very good, but he also had an open-door policy. There were times I'd step into his office to talk about anything. If you have any chance to take Dr. Woosley, do it. You won't regret it.

Favorite professor I've had so far at UA, very caring and understanding. Even though attendance isn't technically mandatory, there are in-class assignments a lot of times, which are due within the hour. All quizzes are open book. If you just show up to class and turn in work, it's an easy A. Overall loved this class and professor, HIGHLY recommend.

Possibly the most welcoming person in the entire school of music. Just an incredibly understanding person and professor. His teaching also makes piano feel achievable to learn and even fills in some gaps in music theory pertaining to chords. Could not recommend enough.

This is the easiest class I've ever taken, but Woosley is just incredible. He cares about his students and it's obvious. Just a great human being. This class is naptime. I did learn a few things but every assignment is super easy so this is a perfect class to take for credit. Just have to show up and listen and you'll cruise to an A.

Very passionate about music, I really didn't go to class outside of when I knew we'd have an in class assignment, but honestly if you're passionate about music I recommend going. There's a test every week, 2 listening projects, and a concert you have to go to. You can cruise to an A by doing the bare minimum.
