This is possibly the greatest Math teacher at UL. He teaches the material until it you can't help but have it stuck in your head. He helps you with whatever you don't understand...all he asks is that you come to class. If you don't come he can't help you simple as that.

I needed one last math to graduate, and thankfully had Dr. Zito as my teacher for 206. He was 100% helpful with any problem I had. He speaks English, he knows his stuff, he's funny, and easy to get in contact with for any kind of help. So definitely take him instead of anyone else! His head is shaped funny though. lol

Dr. Zito is down-to-earth and humorous. He is smart, yet he does not overwhelm his students. His easygoing personality makes the 2 hour Math 100 class go by quickly. His tests have little questions and easy... At first, I felt nervous and got B's on the first two tests. However, once you find your confidence, you can ace his tests.

Everything you read is true. He is a GREAT TEACHER who is willing to help everyone at any time. His tests will challenge you for sure but if you do your HW, it's like putting socks on a rooster. And for Heaven's sake, go to class, math isn't a spectator sport. My "3" rating is strictly related to the coursework itself....... _>> "DO THE WRONSKIAN!"

Differential Equations with Dr. Zito was great! He was really funny and the class was definitely interesting...it gave me a reason to get up and go everyday that is for sure. Having said that, if you want a good grade...you have to do the homework and work problems. Also, he is VERY approachable, so if you have questions...ASK!!!

Best professor I've ever had. His method for teaching is different, but if you put forth the effort required, you'll do perfectly in the class. Don't go into this class looking for an easy A. He doesn't necessarily care about a letter grade, more everyone retaining the information. If you study, though, there's no way you won't make an A.

Dr. Zito is a fantastic teacher. Does not put up with bs, teaches his way. His way is good. Do what he says, work hard and you'll be fine. Highly recommended for people serious about their math education.

He's a beast. He takes a no-bull approach to calculus and it's awesome. The class is hard though. You have to work a ton of practice problems if you want an A. If you take Zito, you too can be a beast at math.

Dr. Zito is BY FAR the best professor at UL. He won't give a test until he thinks the class is prepared for it. He has a very strong personality, but he is always willing to help because he truly does want you to learn the material. He explains why things are done and gives applications. He will make you work for the tests; however, they are fair.

Best teacher I've had. Shares in-depth knowledge of the material including the logic and history of each topic in. Gives excellent thought experiments with a gritty sense of humour that holds your attention. He makes you want to learn and excel, but makes you work for it. Not an easy grade, but if you're a STEM major, he'll impact your career.

Dr. Zito is the first math teacher I've had that made me want to do better in his class. He's no pushover, he pushes you throughout the semester, but the end game is totally worth it. Dr. Zito is very intriguing. He describes mathematics in a story time fashion. In order to understand the concepts, you must attend class. He assigns homework for your benefit. His teaching style is unstructured, participatory, and challenges students to critically think every step of the way toward achieving their highest intellectually ability.

Dr. Zito is the best math professor you can possibly take at UL. As long as you take notes and do the problems he assigns, there's no reason you shouldn't pass. The first thing he tells the class is "if you fail, it is 100% your fault." And he is exactly right. Regardless about how you might feel about his humor, he really does care. Take him.

I took him Spring '15 and he definitely teaches math different. What helped me and most of the classmates were his test reviews right before the test. It basically was what on the test, thus maintained an A in the class up until the final. The final I made a 200300 and ended up with a C in the class.

Professor Zito is the best math professor I have ever had in my entire life. He explains math in a way that is so incredibly simple and easy to understand. He moved at a good pace in the class. The last test we took averaged about a 94/100 for the entire class. I wish I had him for every math class. He knows what he is talking about.

I was fortunate enough to have him for Calculus and Calculus 2. If you fail the class it is your own fault because he will not continue onto something else until everyone understands the material. Ask questions! He will explain the problem many different ways until he knows that you understand. Don't miss class! His lectures are VITAL!

Took him for Math 270/Calculus 1 and he rarely assign wileyplus homework. Tests are challenging, and hes a tough grader. Will mark points off if you dont include parenthesis +/- sign in your final answer. He doesn't grade attendance. If you miss class, you pretty much have to learn the materials yourself.

Dr. Zito is a life coach who teaches math on the side. His comedy is one of a kind. I learned more math in this class than all my 16 years of school combined. His tests are a little tough only because he's truly preparing you for later classes. If you ever take this man, he will change your standpoint on math.

You really need to understand the concepts to do well. If you know you will be taking higher level math, later on, take him!

This is my second time taking Calc II. If I had Zito the first time, I would have been much more successful! He knows how to explain the material and will keep going over it if you dont understand, you just have to ask questions on what you dont understand. He is by far the best math professor at UL.

Zito was a great professor - he really teaches the concepts behind the math, and he cares a lot about his students. He moves pretty fast and might assume you know things, so speak up and ask questions, otherwise, he'll move right on. Tests are straightforward and just like the examples he does in class. Kevin Zito is the best math prof you will ever take in my opinion if you have him. I took him for clac 2 senior year of high school(dual enrollment). he makes you asks questions and doesn't go on until everyone understands (and no not just bc I was still in high school). you have to show up and put in your share of the work but he is AMAZING

What REALLY helped is going to class every time, and before you take the test make sure to rework all of the "star" problems that he's given in class. At the beginning of the semester he told everyone to get a separate notebook for these problems, and it was a lifesaver. He really is great guy and will make sure you really understand.

My favorite professor this semester! I took him for 143 (precalc) and for a freshman, he was like a breath of fresh air. He was laid back, loved to make jokes & have fun, but he also got down to business and made sure we covered what we needed in order to not only pass his class, but be prepared for future courses as well. 10/10 would recommend

Good person, cares for students. A little disorganized and may jump around or not finish problems. Prepares you for tests but tests are always a little harder, so study. Get ideas from old tests if you can (but they won't be the same questions). Ask questions if you don't understand. Go to office hours. He will help you, you just have to want it

Even with the world falling apart and in shambles from COVID-19. Dr. Z was literally the best professor I have ever taken, even when we went fully online. And he was genuinely upset for not being able to teach us better, when in fact he was the best professor on the ULL campus.

I took professor Zito for my calc III fully online. He is very clear about grading criteria and specific about anything for a grade, you will be very prepared for any homework assignment or test. Do everything that is assigned because he does not waste your time, you will see it on a test. He gives practice tests as well before exams.

Dr. Zito jokes around a lot and pokes fun at the class. I've had him twice now, and both times the atmosphere of the class has been very positively unique because of this. There is less of the apparent barrier between the professor and his class. His lectures should be the standard. He will easily explain exactly what you need to know.

Reviews of the Fall semester of 2020 are true, only taught once a week and had videos. This semester was different,he taught at twice a week and a discord was made for the class. In discord we had quick access to peers and Dr. Z for questions, announcements, and PRACTICE TESTS. Those that gave a 1 star probs werent in discord. U PRACTICE, U PASS!!!

He will give practice tests which is 99% the same as the test. PRACTICE TF OUTTA IT! I attended every zoom class, was active in discord, and practiced ALOT. If u slack u will fail

I've taken him for Calc 2 through DE. He is by far the most caring professor I've had. He may seem rough but he is EXTREMELY open to recommendations and is always available to help. He also takes the time to explain things using familiar language and tries his best to make material personally relevant to you. He picks but allows you to as well.

Zito is quite simply amazing, ask him questions and lots of them. He will be happy to help you with all of them. Including questions that he says "slips through the cracks". He gives you a review test and the test is very similar. Do not skip class, you need all the practice and information you can get. 10/10 would take again.

Dr. Zito is unbelievably helpful and patient. A failure in his class is only possible if you refuse to reach out to him. He is also hilarious and friendly to everyone. Warning, he is extremely unorganized as far as homework and due dates are concerned. However, if you trust the progress you will be pleased with how much you actually learn.

Dr. Zito is one of my favorite professors by far. We were only graded by 3 tests and a final, however, he explains complex things super well and is hilarious. He encourages everyone to ask questions and makes you feel comfortable to do so. He is reachable at all hours. He gives practice tests that are nearly identical format to test questions.

I took 143, 270, 301 and I loved each class. He assumes everyone knows their stuff but if you speak up and ask questions he will go over everything. He's a funny guy but you have to appreciate some crude jokes because if you don't you wont enjoy his class that much. He only grades off of 4 tests, an exam, and a hw grade, but he's always available.

Dr. Zito is the most Cajun and honest professor you might ever have in college. He is very clear on how his tests will look and is there to help you pass his class. Dr. Zito is a very caring professor but he's very upfront with his expectations for each student. He gives amazing lectures and makes himself available for one-on-one work if needed. Dr. Zito is one of if not the best math teacher there is. I failed calc 2 the first time I took it, but if I would've had Dr. Zito teaching me I don't believe I would have. He is great at communicating and will break anything down to microscopic levels if need be. I would take him for every math course going forward if I could.

Zito's class was fun and enjoyable, he made his material seems easy but you have to do problems on your own or you will struggle on test. No real homework or participation grades attendance is optional but you really should if you want to pass and do not show up late. Final was worth 45% but class is passable and extremely fun.

Zito's classes are engaging and fun. While you'll need to put in the work to do well, he explains concepts clearly. Using unstuckstudy AI and the free textbook can really help. Attendance is a must, but it's worth it for his helpful teaching style.

Zito is the most down to earth calculus professor you could possibly ask for. Normally if you don't understand something with a different professor they would stick you a finger for lack of a better phrase. Zito on the other hand will personally and individually make sure you understand, and you'll always get the grade you deserve.
