Best grader in STA as long as you get the concept gives credit, very clear explanations, do not get intimidated by his little tantrums.

sure he has a heavy accent but he wants you to learn and makes sure that you do. he's willing to help after class and always offers. the class is basically easy just make sure you do the hw and study.he's actually really patient with all the people even with those who are really rude and make fun of his accent or make stupid smart butt comments.

Very helpful, gives test reviews before an exam and the questions are the same but w/ diff. numbers. He explains everything point by point which is good. If you want to pass College Algebra take it with him. Easy A.

If you pay attention and focus in class the accent is not a problem. he is a tough teacher but reviews before every exam and will answer any question. If you want to challenge your abilities this professor will work for you. If you want to pretend you are still in high school I suggest to grow up a little bit before taking this class!!

this guy was a great teacher and was very helpful. You can go after class to his office and he will explain everything that he thought today in class. He gave easy quizzes, and lets you take formula sheets into the exams. Yes he does have a horrible accent but come on people if you cant understand him them your just too dam lazy

This professor was extremely helpful. He explained the material throughly and gave easy quizzes. His tests were also very easy and only covered what he taught in class. If you go to class everyday and study the notes he gives there is an A guaranteed. He also lets you use a formula sheet in every test.

His class is easy if you go to class. his quizes are so easy and he tells you exactly what is on all the tests and quizes. As long as you dont talk in class (he yells) you will for sure pass.

This teacher is not as bad as people make it sound. The entire semester, people would ask questions and he didnt go crazy on anyone. There is no other Professor that goes over the same thing over and over again until everyone understands. He tells you EXACTLY whats going to be on the test and reviews for each one. I took him for Business Statistics and he was one of the best teachers that I have had. He not only knows what he is talking about but he knows how to make the class understand. He brings it down to an elementary level. Not many prof can teach what they know. Yea he has an accent, but he tries to slow down and its not that hard to understand

i took this class fall 2006 and he made it so much easier than any other math teacher i kno. u definitely cant miss any day b/c its a new section each day. good notes,clearly goes over procedures,test reviews, sometimes has attitude but hes a really good math teacher

Benterkia is a great teacher. He does have an accent but he knows his stuff and is always willing to share the knowledge. He doesnt give hw and doesnt take role but its good to attend because its a different section every day. great teacher i HIGHLY recommend!!!

Has a very heavy accent, so it's really hard to understand him at times. He loves standing right in front of the problem while he is doing it, so try and get a seat towards the front, or where you see the board clearly. Good teacher though, and knows his stuff.

I don't know what is worse.,his accsent or his sluring. Everytime he says multiplay it sounds like image apply. But he does know his stuff. If you can find a way to understnd him, it will be a good class. He can be funny at times. He gets angry sometimes when you ask questions, but he ends up answering them simetime anyway.

Teaches math in the form that it ought to be taught, explains every single step to a mathematical problem at a slow and steady pace, which gives the student time to comprehend the material at hand. He gives reviews before each test which are literally the problems that will be on the test, only way possible to fail his class is to not try at all.

Its my 3rd time taking the class but the 1st with him. He does have a bad accent,and makes some mistakes. Yet,I would recommend him over any other prof i've had. He goes at a good pace and his test reviews are basically the test,(and easy). I'm bad at math and I expect an A or a B in the class. With some effort, passing is CAKE.

I took this class freshman yr. I didn't take math my senior yr in highschool and this class was easy and a good review. It also made the stats class im taking right now, very easyyy. I got a 99 in his class. His exams are straight from the notes. And he tells you exactly which questions to study. Def. take him. He is alwaysss ready to help.

Uhm didn't like him at all. He does have a really hard accent but it's not the accent that bothered me, its that when we asked him to repeat something or speak slowly he'd lash out at us and talk super fast. He is helpful though if you ask for help. Hate math that class is boring and the professor doesn't help at making it any better.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. It was a Statistics class (STA2023) in Miami-Dade Kendall back in '04. Not sure if he is still teaching but he was fair, helpful, gave you credit where it was due and was a real fun teacher to have for a not so fun class. His motto was "Where there is a will, there is an A+". I highly recommend him.

Great Professor! he does have an accent but you understand him after the first week. Gives a lot of examples, A LOT! i took both stats I and II with him, studied the day before exams and got A's. he tells you exactly what is going to be on the exam, extremely helpful. i highly recommend him.

He is a great teacher always ready to help his students. If you come to class be reading to answer questions and his test are a piece of cake if you study what he tells you. I greatly recommend him. He has an accent but u get use to week after a while.

His class is so easy. Just write down everything he writes on the board and pay attention in class and sometimes he will assign hoemwork, it helps. Study his notes the night before the test and you should be golden, such an easy A.

His accent takes some getting used to but his class is super easy if you're willing to go to class regularly (has a tendency to change test dates so make sure to go to class!)and take notes. He uses the required textbooks and often puts questions straight from the book on his exams. Once you get accustomed to his accent you'll be fine.

I took him for stats 1 summer A. First off im HORRIBLE at math, but statistics is not as bad. He does have an accent but you get used to it. He gives you EXACTLY what will be on his quizzes and exams. Attend class everday and itll be an easy A or B. I highly recommend him, great professor for statistics :)

Awesome professor.. Old Algerian guy, so he has an arab/french accent, you get used to it though.. he give u what will be on the exam before the exam, so its really hard not to pass. As he gives quizzes through out the semester which are easy and drops 2 or 3 of your lowest quizzes.. i think this is an easy A, since the class is easy + good prof.

He is a really great professor. Took him for stats 1 & 2. he does use the textbook, and attendance is pretty much mandatory, but you wont be sorry if you go. Do the hw and attend class (this is where he gets his test questions). take him if you want an A.

This professor is definitely not the easiest but if you plan on attending class regularly and actually doing the homework, you will definitely get an A. He does get frustrated when you ask questions but truthfully, the people who asked questions did not attend regularly. Basically come and do your homework and you're guaranteed the A. I got an A!

The first day, his accent made a lot of people drop out. But he is the kindest, hardest working professor ever. He knows the material and spells it out to make sure his students understand. Patient, and goes over every detail. 4 exams and a final, all with accompanying formula sheets.

He does have a heavy accent and is kind of disorganized in class. However, i think he's such a good teacher, he tells you exactly what he expects of you and gives you a study guide that's basically the test. His questions are the examples/hw he assigns in class. His personality is also interesting to watch because he's so all over the place.

Khaled Benterkia is a great instructor! I received a ?F? last attempt with another instructor, I got a B+ when I took it with Benterkia. Yes, he may be loud a from time to time, but he teaches from his heart. Students are off task and asking the same questions repeatedly. He really made Stats easy like Algebra. I understand Statistics now!! Thanks!

The students who rated him probably didn't show up & half-assed this class. Even though attendance isn't mandatory, you should go. He is a sweetheart if you are on his good side, & he notices if you try hard, b/c he curves your test. Pay attention and study for a little bit, & you'll surely get an A like I did. Btw, you'll get over the accent.

Out of all my math instructors, he is the only one who actually goes through examples in the book. He is open to questions in class and kind of funny too. Even though homework and attendance are not mandatory, doing them is recommended as they help for the test. He also changes test dates mainly to help students prepare.

Hes very nice and wants you to pass the class. Has a bit of an accent but you get over it when you pay attention and get into the class. He's understanding if you can't take a test a long as you tell him before hand and hes funny too. If you really want to learn take him, if you want an easy grade then don't. After my 2nd attempt taking Cal i ended up in his class. The first day i thought i was going to fail due to his strong accent but didnt. his teaching technique is great. He really cares for all of his students and hates the 1 that interrupts others. I wish i would of taken him earlier but i happy i did. Only cal class i passed the exams.
